| When classes were dismissed, TYPE-0 (T.0.) headed straight to the entrance to meet with her new friend Frog. The two met during that day's lunch period and made a agreement to goto the blacklight district. T.0. had never felt excitement/anticipation like this, or any kind of adrenalin to be frank. This was all still so new for the android, to think her first day would go so well.
The pair took the subway together to reach the blacklight district, which turned out to be a fairly expansive arrangement of stores, stalls, and people. T.0. had only seen this many people in media, or at the station, she was in awe. You could faintly hear her gasp. It was almost like she forgot to breathe, ironically.
Having just arrived in the district, T.0. had no idea where to go or what to do with this new place. Her expression was the same as it always was, a mixture between no emotion and ignorant bliss. She looks to her side at Frog, hoping he would be able to take charge of the situation.
"There are so many..."
T.0. starts to get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of humans around her. She had never stop to think how many people there really are, or what was going on in the outside world around her. Each person seemed to be from different walks of life. There were: students, workers, businessmen, homeless. T.0. could've stood their all day watching and noting on the different types of people, but the android had a objective to complete. To get her a phone! | |

| Frog would already be waiting for Nina as she arrived to meet him at the academy's entrance, typing something on the phone in his hand. Noticing her, he sighed quietly enough so she couldn't hear it, put the phone away and walked over to her with a wave to his hand and a smile on his face. He was secretly hoping she would get lost in the building and not appear. "Tee won't be coming 'cause she has boring homework and stuff to do. We're on our own." He explained on the way as she gave a slight shrug. Not having Tee around made the whole interaction a lot quitier than how it started out earlier that day. As much as it was awkward, Frog still enjoyed this quiet development. Easier than to make dumb small talk to a girl he barely knew.
They took the dreaded subway and were in Backlight in no time. The girl beside him gave clear signs she was still feeling lost in the world. He watched her look around the district and as she looked back at him for help, he gave a sheepish smile. He would've given an awkward one in any other situation but Nina's very presence made him feel like taking control at the very least so he could cut this short and go home finally. "So many stores or so many people..?" He asked curiously, scratching the back of his head. He reall couldn't pinpoint which of the two it was...maybe it was both? | |

| T.0. looks into Frog's eyes as he questions her audible thought. She turns her head to the front, looking back at all the people. The realization, that there was more to the world than what she sees in front of her, crept into her mind. Before today, having thoughts based off observations was something T.0. had never experienced. If there were this many people in the world, what makes a human any different from an animal, from each other? Is one human all that different from the rest? How is it all connected?
"Everything...? Hm..."
She looks down at her feet, and takes a moment to collect herself. Remembering that the pair had the intention of buying her a phone, she jerks her head back at Frog. Looking at him as if he was a respected general commanding a army into battle.
"Sorry, I did not mean to distract us from our objective..."
Now was not the time for idle thought.
"I just have never seen so many before... people."

| Frog stared at Nina, his mien only interrupted by an isolated blinking fit borne from the conundrum he was experiencing. His brain reached critical temperature, gluing the palm he was scratching the back of his head with onto said back of his head momentarily. He tried his best to comprehend yet he also could not. He tried his best to feel bad for her yet he could not the moment she uttered that final sentence.
"Uhm, first yous aid everything if I heard ya right...but now it's back to just people again?" He asked her actually quite seriously. He both liked and disliked the look she was giving him, liked because it was respectful and disliked because it was expectant. Before she could answer though, he would continue on. "Nevermind, let's just buy a phone." The hand was released and he let it fall down to his side. He glanced at her every now and then as he led her to the nearest electronics store. He kind of had the feeling she'd get lost if he didn't hold her hand, but he'd never force himself to actually hold her hand in this situation, so he settled on checking up on her like this.
Once they reached an electronics store, he pushed the door open and greeted the clerk. The duo was led to the selection of cell phones and left to their own devices. Frog turned to Nina. "So have you actually never owned a phone before?" He asked. The phones were arranged behind a glass, ranging from old models to smartphones. If she never owned a phone perhaps a smartphone would overwhelm her... | |

| A feeling of rejection overcame T.0. as Frog ended the conversation before she could respond, but he was right. This was what they were there for. Setting aside her thoughts and accepting things as they are, she followed close behind Frog as he paved a path to the electronic store. She began to feel somewhat like a burden. Not wanting to frustrate Frog any further, the droid tried her best to not get lost in the cluster of people.
Upon entering the building, she noticed Frog greeting the clerk. She follows his cue and gives a shy wave. She saw the students performing this ritual at some point during the school day, and calculated this would be the best way to try it. They are led to a wide selection of phones to look at. T.0. moves her head closer to look at the devices. Upon hearing Frog's voice she turns her eyes to him.
"...Is there something wrong with that?" She did not mean to come off rude, if she did. T.0. was somewhat asking a serious question.
Shifting focus away from Frog, she turns her eyes back to the gallery of phones to choose from. Reading through the information listed next to the phones, she pushes her face into the glass. T.0. could not really find a difference between the devices, they all are just communication devices in the end.The only thing the girl noticed was the amount of money next to each one. Looking at the cheapest one, a pink flip phone that laid open facing up, and the most expensive one, which was a rectangular screen with only a few buttons on it. She raised her head back up and turned to Frog, pointing down at the phones.
"What is the difference between these 'phones'? Don't they all accomplish the same purpose?" | |

| Frog meant no offence when he asked the question. Her reply was odd to him-either she didn't even realize what exactly she was saying or she actually got offended by it, however slightly. Frog opted for the former as her entire demeanor reaked of ignorance. "There's nothing wrong with that." He said, leaning on one leg. He looked at her as she observed the phones. Hopefully no one would complain about the stains her face was bound to imprint upon the glass.
"Well..." He rested his hands on his hips. "Sure, all these phones can be used to call other people, y'know, but the difference is you can use a smartphone for a lot of other functions when ya download various apps on it. You can download lotsa cool games too and access the internet easily. You can't really do that with a phone like that." He pointed at the pink phone she was looking at. "If you're gunning for something simple though, then the pink one might do the trick. You don't look like someone who would really enjoy a smartphone anyways." | |

| T.0. began to look at Frog as if he was her teacher, when he began to explain the differences between the phones. She grabs her chin with her hand and weighs the two options. The smartphone looked stylish and clean, but after hearing Frog's last sentence, she made up her mind. She points her finger at the pink flip phone.
"I'll go with your advice then... I trust your judgement on this matter."
It may seem odd since Frog seemed to be dreading the two's union, but T.0. is quickly forming a respect for the teen. He has been very knowledgable with getting her this far on this mission. The girl wouldn't known where to start if she attempted this on her own.
"Now... how do I get it out of this box?" She asks with a slight pout.
She looks back at the the pink flip phone. Now that the she picked out the device, anticipation started to come over her. It was similar to that of a child on Christmas morning. T.0. places her hand on the glass as if she could push through and grab the phone. She wondered if she was supposed to push harder. After calculating the correct amount of forced needed to break through. She pulls her hand back and forms a fist with it, holding it up at the glass threateningly.
"This should suffice..." T.0. says as she cocks back her fist, with the intention of breaking the glass if not stopped. | |

| Frog was actually quite pleased with how easily this played out. Cocking his head back as he pulled himself fully upright, he put on a content yet neutral face and glanced at the girl. She seemed to have put her trust in him for this one and it made him glad that at least someone was ready to lean on him for support, although probably only because she still hasn't yet gotten to really know him. In time she could change her perception of him...
"Well I'm glad you reached a decision so quickly." A small smile formed on his lips, unbenknownst to the trouble that was about to ensue. Seeing her pout at not being able to reach the phone like a child invoked only feelings of simpathy in him. It wasn't until the literal breaking point that he realized what was going on and a sudden rush overcame him. Letting out a yelp unbefitting of a guy his age, he threw himself in between the girl and the glass, ready to take the punch for it if necessary. | |

| T.0. launched her fist forward. Unaware of her wrong doing, she notices Frog jump in front of her. Too late to pull the punch, T.0. follows through with a clean hit at Frog's abdominal. The moment the fist connection was made, the girl jumped back and made a small yelp. The gravity of the mistake she made sunk in. T.0. was not exactly sure what was wrong with what she was planning on doing, but to have Frog do what he just did, it must've been bad. She cups her hands over her mouth.
"Ah... I–I–I'm–"
The droid was unable to piece her words together. She was overwhelmed by the situation. Her face was in a panick, eyes wide and face turning red. T.0. gets down on and attempts to check on Frog's condition. She had hit him pretty hard.
"Frogerio, are you okay?"
Regret flooded the girl. The guilt of hitting the very person who had taken the time to pity T.0. on this venture, had her on the brink of tears. Having never experienced life before, the emotions created from her papillon heart were all new to the android. Every feeling hitting her at full force. She really was behaving like a child.
Before Frog could have a chance to respond, she places her hand on his forehead. As a Anti-Shadow-Supression-Weapon, T.0. is equipped with the functions needed to perform a basic analysis on a human's body. Concerned with her friends health, she begins listing off her findings. Unaware, she was audibly thinking them.
"Body temperature is normal.... Heart rate, above average..." | |

| Frog was expecting to get hit, he really did. What he wasn't expecting was how hard he was about to get hit. Sure, thinking back on it, Tee and this girl seemed to have had a hand-squeezing competition back at the school and if Tee had to up her output, then it probably meant she too was being brunted by a formidable force. Additionaly, of course Nina was going to be putting a lot of power into her punch if she was planning on smashing the glass with it. So yeah, it was no surprise that Frog, with his lacking physique, went down pretty easily.
Contorting inward towards the point of impact as if its gravity pulled at the rest of his body, his knees scraped the floor before he flat out dropped onto his forehead, holding his hands on his stomach. Her blow had punched out all the air out of him and mashed his lunch up within his guts, and as much as he was glad he managed to stop the catastrophe from happening, he was still pissed at both himself and this girl for being so idiotic. Rolling around on his back, his face is a vision of held-back pain.
A voice was what shook him up. Nina's voice, which was saying some pretty weird shit. Frog opened his eyes to the image of her palms. She seemed to be listing off medical data though he couldn't guess where from. He really didn't even want to guess and thankfully, what saved Nina from being yelled at by him was the store clerk intervening and telling her to get out of the store. The clerk would shoo Nina out and, after doing so, help Frog back up. Nina would be left alone in the streets of the mall. | |

| Her panic was escalated by the store clerk. Who was staring down at the girl. T.0. turns her head over to the clerk, as she is told to leave the store. It didn't fully sink what the clerk was saying.
"What?"
The clerk raises their voice and demands T.0. leaves. She jumps at the sudden increase in volume, and begins to rush out the store. Before exiting through the door, she looks over to check on Frog again. Seeing that he was moving gave a little relief to the droid, but the girl was still flustered. The clerk shouts at T.0. again. She jumps with a yelp and continues out the door.
Now outside the store, and back to the walkway. The girl puts her head down and gives a depressed look. Seeing a bench a little over to her left, on the other side, T.0. goes and takes a seat. Thinking back to Frog makes her feel extremely guilty. She didn't want to him to dislike her. T.0. wouldn't know how to handle that. The other unfortunate thing was now she was not going to get her own phone. The android visualizes the phone in her head, letting out another pout.
"...Maybe I don't belong here..."
Maybe all this work to goto school, and to blend in with the humans was pointless. She might not be cut out to fit in to society. Maybe she was just a failure. T.0. continued to sit in the bench, holding her hands together with her head down, like a child waiting in timeout. Now what will she do? | |

| The clerk, having shoo'd Nina out, helped Frog get up to his fight. Frog nodded in thanks before looking at the door with a sort of contempt but also pity in his eyes. He couldn't quite pinpoint but something was wrong about this girl and he could feel it in his gut. People don't act like this or can read vitals unless she had some handheld device she was using to do that, but she didn't know even have a phone so yeah. "Excuse my friend." He turned to the clerk. "Iunno, she must've gotten lost in this place."
--------------
Nina would be left alone for at least 10 minutes before she'd catch a glimpse of someone exiting the store he'd just been thrown out of-it was Frog. And he was carrying a plastic bag with him. He stopped a short distance from the shop to glance around, not noticing Nina. He was probably looking for her, for he didn't seem to be going anywhere. | |

| Sitting on the bench, T.0. continued to reflect on what transpired inside the store... She felt lost. If she really did do something wrong, then she needs to do something about it. Something deep down told her she had to. The android made a promise to herself, to make amends with Frog before leaving... But what if he didn't want to see her. Would just leaving be the best choice?
Before T.0. could make a decision, she sees a familiar face in the corner of her eye. Seeing that it is Frog locks her sight on him, making it impossible for her to look away. The girl stands up and hesitantly walks up to Frog. She approaches him from behind.
"Hey... Frogerio..."
She chokes on her words before they can escape her mouth. Shifting her head downward, the girl takes a deep breath. She has seen this phrase used before in media. Feeling that it applied here, she continues.
"I-I'm sorry..."
Not knowing what to say next, she ends her sentence. Her face becomes beet red. You can see that she is trying really hard to continue her words, but unfortunately lacks the understanding to. | |

| Frog hadn't noticed Nina approaching him from behind, her words surprised him and caught him off guard. He jumped up slightly before turning to face her quickly. By this time he'd realized who it was and couldn't help but frown at her despite her obvious regret over what she'd done.
Frog let out a sight and ran a hand through his bangs. "Yeah, sure, whatever. I'll have cramps for the rest of the week thanks to you. What were you even thinking, swinging at the display like that!? Ya gotta buy the phone, not wreck the shop. If I wasn't there you would've been having this conversation with the police instead of with me." The boy's tone was accussing and even Nina would be able to pick up on it. He was really really pissed at her for what she'd done. But that didn't mean he was going to just forget why they came here in the first place.
Looking to the side, Frog pushed the plastic bag into Nina's chest until she grabbed it. Inside, there was a box and inside the box, there was a phone-a pink phone. | |

| When Frog turned around, T.0. could easily tell his expression was that of distest. She felt like a little kid, about to be scolded by her parents. Her throat became heavy, as she failed to continue her words. The android was not sure if this was going well or not...
After listening to Frog's words, her face went into despair. The girl really did hurt the teen, this was not what she wanted. The feeling of uselessness and ignorance over flowed her.
"Buy?"
The concept was in her head, but she wasn't exactly sure what the procedure was for buying something.
"The police?"
She knew what they were. The seriousness of what she did wrong became crystal clear to the girl at that moment. Maybe she should just leave... She has made her amends with Frog, and his face and tone don't say he is too happy about being there with her. Her eyes began to swell. The droid had never felt something like this before. She decides that this was the time to leave, wishing to be alone after today's blunders.
Before she could turn her head to escape the situation, a bag is pushed into the girl's chest. Her eyes, on the verge of overflowing, look to Frog, who is holding the bag. She takes it and lifts it up to her face. Looking inside she sees a box, upon removing it from the bag she sees that it is indeed the phone she had picked out in the store. It sinks in.
She looks back to Frog. He still got her the phone... But wasn't he mad at her? This doesn't make sense. Are they friends again? Why is T.0. so happy. Her face became over surged with joy. T.0.'s emotions seem to be getting a little out of hand.
"You-You did this for me?"
Her gratitude shined brightly from her words. She thought Frog hated her, but then he does this.
"I don't know what to say... Do you not hate me?" | |
