| What started as a peaceful break in her room turned out to be something even more. A young woman sat at a nearby table, writing down notes amidst scattered papers across the floor. They all contained bits and pieces of a story she was currently working on. In her profession, a job was never done, for even as she found one scoop, another had yet to be revealed. The stories and words continued to fly off of her hand onto the paper for a while, until her hand began to slow. Normally she would stop abruptly when she was finished writing, maybe she was tired. In any event, as she slowly came to a halt on her work, she heard several small knocks at her door. While she hadn't expected a visitor today, she decided to go check it out anyway, however as she got to the door, her eyes began to grow a bit glossy eyed, almost like she was about to fall asleep. She opened the door, forgetting to perhaps look outside through the peep hole and see who it was, though it didn't really mattered, as when she looked out she had decided to let them in of course. Really any other option would have been silly. The one who walked in smirked and made their way towards the table she was just at, while the reporter followed slowly. She sat down in her chair once more, as the man took one look around the room and then at the floor at her papers. "You can take a break from that, I have something else for you..." The reporter nodded listlessly, as though she were in some kind of trance. She didn't seem to have any reason to refuse the one who walked into their room. In fact, when he opened his mouth, he would tell her of something that happened the Night prior. She would hear an interesting story of many people who had ended their life in various brutal ways. As he spoke, the reporter began writing it all down without a second thought, not thinking as to the implications of what he was saying. She was truly more focused on listening to them, and getting her new story. She had heard rumors about screaming the night before, but to think there was actual reasoning behind it? And the Cadets didn't even attempt to stop this madness? What insanity! Who the perpetrator was didn't really matter in the grand scheme of things did it...
After the story was well written, she would yawn and lay back in her chair, as the other one would chuckle to themselves, and slowly walk out the door, leaving the place exactly as how they left it. She would have to publish the story soon, but for now she needed rest. When she woke up later on however, she would feel less dizzy than before and reach for her phone. She noticed a new notification, and touched it, only to see a new icon, and a strange new app appearing on her phone... | |
