| “What the hell do you mean ‘The Velvet Room is closing’?” The white-haired scientist was beyond furious, he was livid. The Velvet Room had not only been his group’s sole clue into the workings of their powers and the nature of the monsters, sfalma and constant attacks that now plagued the tower, and now they were just barring themselves off and leaving like an irresponsible father?! “That’s fucked up! That’s the stupidest shit I’ve ever bloody heard!” On the other end of his words was Gemini, one of his closest friends and most supportful companions in battle. Though Cyrus’s feelings were those of conflicted grief and worry for the state of both his friends and him, his way of expressing it was… less than perfect. He realized Gemini wasn’t at fault though, he really shouldn’t be yelling at her…
He cupped his face in his hands, took deep breaths, and paced around in an attempt to calm himself down. It was a good thing they were in the comfort of his home, or else people might’ve begun to stare. He ran a hand through his hair, trying to figure out how to deal both with the situation and the feelings that it imparted upon him. “I’m sorry, I… I know it’s not your fault, but… does that mean we won’t be seeing you anymore?” In perfect honesty, he felt he could take care of his special powers on his own now, it was the potential disappearance of Gemini that worried him. “Do we at least get to know why?” | |

| "Hey hey! Don't be so loud, sensitive ears!" War would pipe up after Cyrus's initial outburst. She'd jokingly point to the fake cat ears on her head, a somewhat dimwitted smile across her face at a very weak attempt to lighten the mood. The twins knew telling anyone close to them about this sudden news was, honestly, not very good for either parties. They had done much in the short time they had known everyone and the bonds they had forged were quite strong. It hurt to break ties so suddenly, but they had duties after all.
"Seriously, though! Don't worry about it too much! Stuff like this happens whenever the event is about to end. That just means something good is about to happen to you guys!" War would state with an energetic smile, small words meant to try and ease the suffering she knew her friend was undergoing. She didn't know how to alleviate pain like this, it just didn't make much sense to the two of them... She knew War was trying to lighten the mood, but the other have that was Gemini simply didn't want there to be a lightening of a serious mood.
"A-As for knowing why, um..." "Aside from our assumptions, no. We do not know why the Velvet Room is closing." the two would state, speaking as they normally did. It was hard to understand the situation, many of the events that had inflicted Erisia were not like normal events. It may be that their master simply wished to leave this world for the time being. It had happened in the past before..."Hey hey! How about we stop this dreadful news and let's go spend some time together in the Velvet Room! C'mon, Cyrus! Once more for old time's sake! let your attendant attend to you!" War would say in her pleasantly chipper voice that didn't fit the mood at all. Peace would nod gently in agreement, a small smile on her face. They didn't want their last meeting with their guest to be a sour one like this... A happy one with one last hurah was what they wanted. One last good memory of this world and from one of their precious guests. | |
