Afternoonstar [Afternoon; Frog x Francis]

Suzie Q was the life of the party as always. Though night was when it truly came alive with bright lights and booming music, it was still full of vigor and song throughout the morning and the afternoon, idols and aspiring musicians scattered across the street playing for crowds of various sizes. While he didn't visit it often, Francis couldn't help but admire the spirit of the district. Despite the sudden disturbances by demons and terrorists, the populace still continued to celebrate as if nothing was wrong, defiantly partying in the face of danger. Perhaps that was a testament to how much people in Endymion trusted the government? Even when the remains of a girl eaten alive turned up and the police officially proclaimed it the work of a demon, the people of the district budged not an inch from their daily routine. In a way, it was admirable how little fear they displayed, although one could argue that it was equally disgusting, and the columnist couldn't say he'd fault them for turning their nose up at the sheep of Suzie Q in response to their supposed apathy.

Still, it really was a wondrous thing, wasn't it? The whole city could burn to the ground and people would still be convinced nothing was wrong. Hell, perhaps they'd be even more sure of it than before!

Lost in his thoughts and taking in the sights, Francis strolled the streets searching for his destination. He had made an appointment with a colleague of his and the plan was to rendezvous at House of Cards later in the day. While there was still plenty of time to spare, he figured it'd be best to make his way there early as he didn't have much experience with navigating Suzie Q specifically. Regardless, it seemed fate had other plans in mind for his afternoon. As he wandered forward without concern for what was in front of him, Francis would bump straight into a boy, stumbling backwards and nearly falling to the ground before he caught his balance. "Ah, my apologies!" He said as he scanned the area for the one he had stumbled into. Should the boy have fallen over, he'd extend a hand down to him to help him up, though either way, he'd attempt to check up on him. "Are you alright?"
