Waiting for the Train

James was sitting on a bench at the station, waiting for his train to arrive. He was wearing his normal light green windbreaker, and was heading home from school in the golden light of the slowly setting sun, at least... He would've been if the train wasn't faster. He liked getting places quickly. But he didn't like waiting. But one has to do things they don't like sometimes. He thought as he looked around from where he sat.

Ai was riding on the metro with her silver flowing down her uniform, her ponytails still on her head as she looked on her phone to read it and listen to music as her cat headphones played you and I by Ui, a Japanese love song. "Heart between my hands~" she said softly in Japanese as her body danced in place as she loved her music.

The train came to a quick stop in the station, and wanting to get to where they were going, people poured off like the rising tide. This was James train, so he ran into it as quickly as he could, and was barely able to make it in, but was sadly squished against some silver-haired girl singing something he could make out bits of, but was too quiet to understand.

Ai's body moved softly as people poured into the train to the point a boy pressed against her. "H-Hey W-Watch w-where you're t-touchign.." Ai said backing from him as she lowered her headphones to see a boy. "I-I'm sorry but p-please don't touch me l-like that.." Ai said as when he touched her made her paranoid and felt he was a sexual harasser. "Sorry, as I see your uniform under your jacket... are you going to Seven Stars?" She asked him with her hands on her skirt.

James moved back as far as he could, about three inches with all the people on the train. "Sorry. Kinda squished here." He said, and upon her asking if he went to the school he went to he replied. "Yeah. I do! And I'm guessing you do as well?" He asked her as the train began to move.

Ai nodded towards him. "Oh, I go to school there also so.." She thought softly."You going home also?" she asked him as she smiled happily. "guessing you live in Sunlake?" She said bluntly. "I over if we live near each other.. I'm Ai, by the way, Ai Amaikawa!" She said in shaky English.

He smiled at her. "Yep! I'm heading home to Sunlake. I don't have any idea how I haven't met you before!" He held out his hand for her to shake. "I'm James! Best person you'll ever meet!" He said before laughing a little. "And it's nice to meet you Ai."

Ai smiled. "Nice, I live in the hotel." She replied to him. "My dad and I moved here from Kyoto japan just last week." She added on. "Hey do you know a boy at school who's short um.. he hangs around sun lake pool a lot?" She asked him talking about the boy she yet just yesterday.

"Not that I know of, no. And it's nice to meet you! I lived in Japan for a bit... Though I've forgotten most of my Japanese already... Heh..." He said, rubbing his head in embarrassment at forgetting an entire language.

She sighed as she forgot to ask the boy from before's name.. but she smiled at him. "W-well um wanna walk home together?" She asked him meaning as the train started getting closer to their stop.

He smiled at her and stopped rubbing his head. "Sure! I'd love to have company to head back home!" He said as the train arrived at the station, slowing to a stop.

Ai looked at him as she held her bag happily as it was a Japanese style bag. "Alright!" She giggled at him btu deep down she was scared.. this is a new area, someone could rob her.. she felt scared. "a-Alright lets go~!" She said rushing out the the metro quickly.

"Yeah!" He said loudly as he followed her, and about five seconds after he got out of the train, the doors shut closed, and the train tool off speedily. "Well... That was close!" The Sun was still setting, almost over the horizon already, and people were walking home, a few students, and some adults walking about as well.

Ai blushed heavily with him as she followed beside him. "Welcome on let's go home~" She giggled happily as she started leading the way up to stairs to start heading the route towards Sun lake. "How's school, for you I mean." She asked him while looking back at him.

"Yeah!" He said, jumping happily. "And it's been going well. How's it been for you?" He asked, wanting to get to know the new individual he had just met. After all, New Friends are always a good thing.
