Bow Hunting Season (Open)[Morning]

Void would sigh but say no more about the deer. He was upset that the deer had to suffer even for a short time, but at least this women didn't seem heartless like most. He'd wonder off a short way into the forest whilst she was gutting the deer, returning once she was done with a bundle of sticks and dry moss which he would dump on the ground in a messy pile before kicking them closer together. Then the boy would head over to Elena and take the meat off of her.

"Way ahead of you." He'd say as he took the meat and placed it by his pile of sticks and moss. "Do what you have to with it, I can do this part." He'd add, picking up a stone and taking out a piece of flint he had in his pocket before smashing the two together above the dry moss. It didn't take him long before he got a spark, blowing on the spark to feed the flame with oxygen. With that, he had a small fire going. He'd nod at it before heading off to find some more firewood, they'd probably need something a bit bigger than this to actually cook some food. Void would also bring back three long spiky sticks which he stuck one end into the ground of and the other end stabbed into the meat to hold it above the flames. "Hmm... That should work..."

Elena returned and as expected, everything was ready. "Hey" she greeted the boy and waved at him. "Thank you for accompanying me today" she thanked him with a light smile, Elena can't smile brighter because of what happened. "I might have left the deer to suffer if it wasn't for you. Sorry about that, it hurts my heart to kill an animal like Ursa. It's kinda hard because you're doing it in front of your animal companion. Ever since I've met Ursa, I stopped hunting because I got attached to animals and started to love them" she'd add as she warmed her hands in front of the fire. Then, she would watch the meat being touched by the fire as she waited for it to cook. She can't talk right after that, being emotional for a little bit. After a few minutes, the skin of the meat is now golden brown and it's a sign that it is cooked. Without further ado, she took the two of them. She gave the other one to Ursa who would gobble it up so fast. "Tee-hee, you're really hungry, huh?" she teased the bear. Elena would then sit beside Void, with a little bit of distance between them.

"Sooo... Can you tell me how did you end up in the forest. I mean, where are your parents?" she would open up a conversation. "I just ended up here because I was kidnapped by a bunch of people who killed my family. I managed to escape from them and there you have it, the escape led me to the forest." she'd say he part of the story so the boy would open up to her as well. It's kind of a fair trade, you give him something and he must pay you back. But, Elena wouldn't blame the boy if he can't tell his story. He is only young and what happened to him might be a trauma for him.

Void would nod to Elena as she returned. "Hey..." The boy would wave a hand at the two pieces of the food to indicate which were for her before leaning back on his hands from his seated position. "You're welcome... I guess?" He'd say slightly confused by the action of thanking someone just for going along with them. Then again, even if he wasn't the one who initially shot the deer down the woman may never of found it in the first place if it wasn't for him... Maybe that was what she was thanking him for. "I did what was right when the time called for it." He'd answer bluntly. "Hesitation is a weakness I lost long ago."

With that the boy would watch as the bear tucked himself into the food first, heh, looked as if someone had been starving for a while. At least the deer's sacrifice is being used well. Void would pick up his own leg of meat and shrug as he was asked how he ended up in the forest. "Dunno. I only ever remember being here." He'd say as he would bite into his food and chew on it hungrily. "Never had parents. Never met them anyway. Or at least don't remember them." He'd continue, his moth filled with food as he talked. Void had never been too bothered about where he came from before, he didn't remember much of it but anytime he'd try to think about it he'd just get the feeling of dread so just ended up not caring about it anymore. The forest was his home and guardian, he didn't need anyone else anyway. "Humans are horrible creatures. I don't like them. I don't trust them for anything." He'd say in response to her story, looking up to stare at her directly. "I only bothered to put a little trust in you because of what your bear told me."

"I see" she'd responsed at his story. It still has holes though, maybe he has amnesia? Elena didn't bother to ask. "Well at least your parents are possibly alive. I mean you don't remember them but that doesn't mean they're dead" she would add, taking a bite on her leg. She might wanna give Void a little bit of hope. and what Elena surprised is that he said that he doesn't trust humans. Poor boy, he must've been along for a very long time that he has grown cold. "I like that" she replied. "You're too cold but it is a strength. It is true, you can't trust everybody. So i'm not gonna blame you if you really think like that about me" she added. She finished her meal and now that everything is done. She is prepared to leave.

"That's all. It's really a pleasure to meet you. I hope we can see each other again. Maybe, you know do some berry hunting instead, i guess?" she said as she wore her quiver and took her bow. The bear cub would run to the little boy and give him a few friendly licks. "Hee-hee, it looks like Ursa wants to see you again, too." she'd laughed at the two. "Let's go Ursa. Don't worry, you will see Void again. He lives in the forest" Elena called the bear who would obey her in an instant. She carried the cub on her back. "Goodbye" she said before walking away. On the other hand, the bear cub was waving goodbye at the boy as Elena walked.

[EXIT]

Void would shrug again. "Don't matter if they are or they aren't. I don't need them." He'd say coldly. Any time he tried to think about who his parents were was when his emotions lashed out at him the most. Even just trying to remember them filled him with hate, even if he couldn't remember exactly why he didn't care for them anyway. They were useless to him, he could survive on his own. He didn't need anyone else. "I put some trust in you. You got me food." He'd begin, almost in a way that sounded thankful before adding. "Though your method was unclean."

The boy would cuddle the small bear as it licked him, he was sad that he had to see the bear go. He kinda wished the bear would stay with him instead, but if the bear had the trust to call Elena his owner... Hmm... "Well. Maybe... Guess we'll see." As uncaring as the boy always made himself out to be, he did secretly wish that he would meet up with the pair of them again... He had never met someone like her before, another member of the forest who actually cared wholeheartedly for animals like he did. He'd wave them off as he took another bite into his food and rested by his fire for a while, he still wanted to regain some of his strength before he started his trek home.
