| The Nobody
Quote: "I'm not a hero any kind. Nor a villain. I'm nobody but a guy who wants to live a normal life the best I can. In peace."
The Biography
|
Birth Name: Johnathan "John" Yasuhiro Smith Aliases: The Nobody, Mr. Cynical. Gender: Male Age: 15 Birth Day: September 16th. Arcana: Fortune (Arcana types can be found here. Place of Residence: Seven Stars Dorms. Academy Semester: First Year Class: (We'll fill this in once you're approved. This will be your class in school)
Sorority: (Are you a part of a club? This is optional.)
Part/Full Time Job: Various, but he works as a test subject for various experiments on his powers for a sort of allowance.
Appearance: John typically looks like this:
- What he looks like:
. He is about 5 ft. 5 inches tall, and weighs about 125 lb. He typically wears clothing appropriate for a situation usually. Most of his outfits tend to be generic, at best, as he tries not to stand out anymore than any other person in the crowd. However, he dyes his hair brown and wears color contacts to hide that his hair turned grey and his eyes changed color permamently as one of the side effects of the procedure that changed him.
Alternate Appearance: He looks like this when using the mask of his demon weapon: - His Appearance:
. Here, his outfit turns into a black coat with a white, skintight bodysuit that includes a hood/mask that gives him the distinct skeletal appearance. The black mark on the left (right?) of his head is meant to represent where part of the demon cells became replacement tissue. The fact that it resembles how his demon originally looked also symbolizes just how intertwined the two are now.
Personality: Johnathan has just one desire in life: Lead a normal life. As a result, while he really could be somebody if he honestly put some effort into it (as his grades demonstrate the potential of somebody who really could become something), he has no desire to live anything that would detract from a 'normal' life after a string of unfortunate events.
This has also made him very cynical, considering things like World Peace impossible because there will always be somebody evil in the world, for example. He also snarks a lot, a trait shared with his demon weapon, and has a pet peeve concerning what he sees as "excessive idiocy" in other people. He also claims not to really care about people much more than anybody else, but in truth, he cares more than almost anyone about his friends. As a result of his past, he also wants nothing to do with demons whatsoever, his weapon being the only exception, as it is part of him.
While an easy person to earn the ire of (see above for the bit on idiocy), he is very hard to truly enrage. There are only three real triggers that will do so. One, say that he doesn't know what it means to truly suffer. Two, threaten anybody close to him with actual malice and intent. Three, threaten to unmask him in any way, or reveal details of his past to the public without his consent.

The Potential
|
Strengths: (Anything your character is skilled in, such as Martial Arts/ Drawing/ etc? You are allowed a maximum of five strengths and a minimum of three.)
—Strength Name: Brilliant, but Lazy part 1: —Description: John is brilliant, but he really doesn't like having to work much. Usually. However, he is surprisingly astute when he wants to be. As a result, he gains intelligence at twice the normal rate from events.
—Strength Name: Rationality: —Description: John is fairly rational as well, despite his cynical attitude, meaning that he possesses a 10% resistance to rage.
—Strength Name: Right-arm shifting: —Description: Out of the tissue the demon replaced, the most tissue was devoted twoards replacing the right arm. It is this right arm that inherited the capability to shapeshift itself into various blunt objects (like clubs or hammers, for example) no longer than 3 ft, and no wider than a foot. The range is about 3 ft.
—Strength Name: Limit-Breaking Concentration: —Description: The result of being fused with his demon had some interesting, positive side effects as well. In his Last Life stats, he gains near super-human focus and concentration. This translates to a 15% boost to Pmstr. in Last Life.
—Strength Name: Increased Dexterity: —Description: Another interesting beneficial side effect that seems to be a constant passive trait within him as a result of being fused with the demon is that he became much more dextrous and flexible. The result means that in combat, he can attack twice with his demon weapon each post.
----- ((A floating Strength is a strength you've gained inRP. For example, if you were on a Kendo team for some time, you'd naturally know Kendo which is where this strength would come in. However, be aware, it will not be as strong as any of your actual strengths and is a small plus)
—Floating Strength Name: —Description:
Weaknesses: (You must have the same amount of weaknesses as strengths. These weaknesses pertain to you and not your Persona. IE: Physically Weaker, lack of attention span, etc.)
—Weakness Name: Brilliant, but Lazy pt.2: —Description: This is where the "Lazy" part comes in. This translates to John only getting half as much understanding points from events.
—Weakness Name: "I'm not cynical, i'm realistic." —Description: Despite the above claim, John really is cynical at heart, and will usually be the first one to comment on how bad a situation is... and generally be a downer on team morality. This translates to being 10% more susceptible to panic.
—Weakness Name: Human no more: —Description: The result of the experiments that ended up saving John's life left him with an inhuman cellular structure, meaning that while he appears human on the outside (and for the most part on the inside too), his cells are not, and as a result, every time he uses Last Lufe he loses 3% of his max HP as dmg. for each turn Last Life is active (this is a physical ailment that cannot kill him, only reduce his HP to one at most).
—Weakness Name: Mentally Disruptable weapon: —Description: The Demon weapon cannot shift it's shape without John's pure willpower, meaning that if John is under the effects of a mental ailment, John cannot take any offensive actions until it wears off.
—Weakness Name: Wrong place, wrong time, wrong life. —Description: Almost all of the source of John's miseries can be traced to his tendency to be at the wrong place, at the wrong time. As a result, he suffers from a 10% additional chance of being hit in PvS combat by all attacks.
----- ((A floating weakness is one gained in RP. It could be a fear you inherited during RP, or an injury that hinders your character. Some can be temporary while others can be permanent.)
—Floating Weakness Name: —Description:
Shadow/Demon Weapon: ((This is the both a Weapon and a Shadow/Demon. You have a parasitic relationship with this Shadow/Demon, and as such you will always want it near you as it is the source of your power. Unlike Soulbound Weapons, this Shadow/Demon Weapon cannot be summoned and will always remain active, meaning you'll have to keep it on you at all times.))
Weapon Name: Primus. Weapon Description: Now, his demon weapon is mainly manifested in his right arm, the tissue from that almost completely replacing it, making that limb the only one capable of shapeshifting. In combat, it typically takes the form of various blunt objects with a maximum range of 3 ft. Weapon Image: (Not necessary) Weapon Attack Type: Strike Weapon Element: (Leave this blank. Only special weapons obtain an element behind its blows.)
Side-Arm Weapon:
Side-Arm Name: The G.A.P (Gene Assault Pistol) Side-Arm Description: A white and blue pistol with a skull on the front, it is John's weapon of choice when it comes to firearms. When it fires, the skull opens up and fires the shot. Side-Arm Image: Here: Side-Arm Attack Type: Gun Side-Arm Style: Revolver - Single Shot - Accuracy is increased by 20%. Consumes only one type of ammo per use. Can shoot only one enemy at a time.

The Background
|
History:(At Least 2-3 Paragraphs) Once upon a time, John was like any other boy: He wanted to be a hero. He lived a fairly average life with his family in Endymion, a city of dreams. However, the Eternal Divide turned it all into a nightmare. The divide left him without a family and a home in its wake, he being the only survivor for reasons he couldn't understand. For a time, he was little more than a blank shell of a boy, so traumatized by the experience, he had entered a state of emotional blankness. Then one day, a mysterious group calling themselves 'The Institute' came along, and selected John due to being an orphan with no more family whatsoever to claim him. They procedeed to perform experiments on him that would have broken any other being, except he himself was already broken at the time, the will to live being reduced to little more than just basic survival instinct.
Then one day, at the peak of the experiments, a horrific accident occured that damaged much of his body (about 70-85% was damaged, amazingly, the heart and brain were fairly unscathed). Were it not for the demon they fused onto him to replace the damaged tissue all over his body, he surely would have died from massive tissue loss. The resulting near-death experience rekindled his will to live... albeit, with a desire to live a normal life only from there on as much as possible.
It also changed his body's cells to the point where they could no longer be considered human cells entirely, but due to retaining a mainly human appearance externally, not quite demon. Something new entirely had been created.
Because the lab was unwilling to lose a highly valuable test subject (he was the first subject to be integrated with a demon at such a high level) and he inherited the demon's ability to shift his body tissue into shapes, they worked out a deal: They would let him go to Seven Stars under the supervision of a peer as long as he submitted himself to biweekly "training sessions" and joined the cadets.

| Alright, well, there's a lot I have to say soooo let's get right into it, shall we?
I suppose we'll start small, as far as split personalities goes that's completely fine for a character to have! The issue here is that Empress does not in any way cover both sides to her personality, not even saying Reverse Empress applies much to her. I would advise you either change her personality if you wish to keep Empress or change to something like Jester, Moon, Hunger, or Devil.
Now, this is the biggest thing I have to say... I can't rightfully allow a character, unless Philemon says otherwise, that is an assassin to be approved in Endymion. Endymion is one of very few nations left on Earth that has been capable of withstanding the demon invasion, and as such, it takes extra precautions when allowing foreigners to live within its walls. Along with the threat of the Psyche Terrorists, and how popular of an assassin Ponyo seems to be, this just doesn't seem likely that she'd even be aloud within Endymion as the background checks must be intensive for retaining citizenship or even visiting.
Onto Strengths, your "Woman of many talents." strength covers way too many different talents that would normally require characters to have multiple strengths for. Philemon has stated before she wishes to avoid prodigal characters that simply don't have the Strengths to back them up. I'd ask you'd either remove this strength in favor of a different one, or rewrite your strengths to cover the various fields of work you've listed in this strength.
Your "Master of Martial Arts:" strength also covers too many different forms of fighting. Regardless of her age, more than on strength would be needed to emphasize her fighting capabilities. I'd ask that you would do the same as I've requested of you to do with the previous Strength I went over.
Onto Weaknesses, your "Involuntary Triggers pt.1:" weakness honestly doesn't make much sense. What do you want from this? Will she switch personalities forcefully when under a mental ailment? Does she simply just gain 10% increased chance of receiving mental ailments? Please clarify this.
I would ask how your gun is easily taken apart, and if you wish to keep that, I would ask you make a strength for it as this may be helpful in certain PvP situations as well as in some RP situations that could occur.
As far as your history goes... I would like to ask that you go more in depth with almost every aspect about it. What was the traumatic incident? Who are these trained assassins (even though I ask you remove her being an assassin altogether.)? Why is she in Endymion? Etc. This history is very empty of depth and it makes her only seem empty as a character. | |

| Alright, let's get this underway, shall we? Now, the first thing that I noticed, and one that will never, ever fly (much like with what you did with your previous rogue) is having a Soulbound, or in this case a Demon weapon, with more than one form, unless the second form is a way for your weapon to disguise itself. In no way am I giving you a weapon with literally no limitations on what it can look like that makes sense. Since the source is your entire body, this type of Demon Weapon opens doors to godmodding. We've had moldable weapons before this, but they had much stricter limits (and in the case of Partisan, there was a way to even disrupt her SB, and her soulbound was limited to just a small amount of Iron dust). This is a crazy weapon idea that Should be reworked completely to just 1 form for disguisal, and one for combat. Nothing more. Needless to say, your demon weapon needs a rework as well to compliment the necessary changes. And you don't even have a weakness that properly balances out that massive strength. Work on those asap. Next, it's the Matter of your SQ Weakness. The problem is simple. Diligence isn't a Social Quality here. We have Courage, intelligence, expression and understanding. And I think that's all. Not very interesting, but I guess that's the point...? | |

| Make sure to note the Range of the weapon in the description as well. Otherwise it's approved. | |
