The Odd One's Out [Noire :: Afternoon]

The robot held onto her friend as they entered the room where supposedly this club would be meeting and she smiled, "I would like to be meet her soon. That means we can be friends" she said happily as she wanted nothing more than to be friends with as many people as she could. She already learned so much today and she was on the fast track to learn even more from this club meeting. She was oblivious to the looks she was getting as she entered and she made her way to a seat to sit down, wondering what exactly they would be doing. She also didn't really notice the fact that she held onto Batilde and was pulling her.

The two students opened the doors and entered the classroom together. Inside, a group of students comprised of people Batilde both had and hadn't seen before, were working on something when the two entered. One of her classmates, Sandra, looked up when the doors opened. "Oh, Batilde! You wanna join our club?" The french lass nodded. "Oui, Sandra. Miyuki told me this would be a good place to start. Is she coming today?" The other members looked at eachother for a moment. "I'm afraid not... She told me that she would be busy with other stuff today, so she couldn't make it. Sorry..." A slight hint of dissapointment shone on the girl's face before she replied. "I see..." She gave Partisan an apologetic look, that only lasted for a short moment before it was replaced with a happier expression. Sandra's attention would then focus on Partisan. "And who's this?" She asked, obviously very curious on why the two were holding hands. "Are you two a couple or something?" Another member asked curiously. "N-No... We're just good friends. Isn't that right, Patty?" Batilde replied nervously, looking at Partisan for help. "A-Anyway! Where do we start?"

Partisan looked a little disappointed when she heard that Miyuki would not be coming to the meeting today, but she quickly became happy again when she saw her friend smile again. It was enough to make her happy once she knew that the person she cared about was happy. She looked as a few strangers now started to talk to her and she responded calmly with, "I am Partisan" she said as the other went on to accuse them of being a couple. She didn't really know what a couple was, other than a unit describing two closely associated objects, were they referring to friendship? She listened to her friend talk as it took her a moment to connect the dots that Patty meant Partisan, "I am a good friends with Batilde" she said as she did not know how to feel about the nickname, "But my name is not Patty... it is Partisan" she said naively.

The other members of the group looked at Partisan with confused expressions. Probably the name, considering what it was, but moreso because it sounded strange, and not due to knowledge of classic warfare. Not that Batilde blamed them for that. "Well, nice to meet you, Partisan. Welcome to the Media club, you two! We'll show you the ropes." Sandra replied to the duo, followed by introductions made by the rest of the crew. "Oh... I'm sorry. I thought you'd like that nickname." Batilde said apologetically to Partisan, giving her a slightly guilty look, like a child caught taking cookies out of the cookie jar without permission...

Partisan smiled happily when she was welcomed into the media club and she responded to them, "I am happy to be in the media club" she said before she looked to Batilde who was saying something to her. "I like the nickname. But it is not my actual name. Why would you call me Patty and not Partisan?" she said as she still did not quite understand the concept of why she would be given a new name when she thought that she didn't need one. "Why do we need ropes?" Partisan asked as she did not understand that expression either.

Batilde would give Partisan a light chuckle. "Because it's easier to say. And it's more normal sounding." The other girls chuckled with her as well. Now, Batilde herself wasn't laughing at Partisan, but... did the others? It was difficult to say. "Glad you like it though. I just came up with it on the spot." Did she really care all that much about what Partisan called herself? Not really, but it felt more... normal if she was called Patty. Or something else to that effect. Batilde didn't exactly want her friend to get the wrong kind of attention. Even she knew that... considering how odd her name must've been for all these American folks. Two of the girls in the group snickered at Partisan's confused statement about ropes. They stopped after recieving an ice cold glare from both Sandra and Batilde. "Ehehe... or in other words... we'll show you what we do here and how to do the things we do. Like Editing, printing etc. It's not that hard really. The tough part is getting interviews..."
