"Huh? Alice? More than one Alice? Who are you? D-Don't hurt me!" A floating White Rabbit hovered before the three girls who had made their way through the rabbit. It was obviously scared of the two females, as it inched away from them. It seemed ready to run.

Shiina smiled and turned towards the rabbit as her knives vanished into the air. What a cute little thing, most likely a horrible abomination turned cutesy due to the effects of the drink. The Wild Card chuckled at how something this cute could be in this horrible place... but hey, the scenery was all in her mind anyway, right?

//"Don't worry, Mr. Rabbit, we won't hurt you. All we'd like to know is what time it is."// The Cadet silently dug into her pocket and clutched her pocket watch. Maybe this would be a hint towards how much time they still had, comparing the rabbit's response to what her own clock said. Tick tock, time was ticking. If the creature decided to leave, that'd be unfortunate, but Shiina wouldn't really give chase.

"It looks more like a stuffed animal than a rabbit. Then again the cat didn't really look much like a normal cat. Fine you win if that makes you happy, I'll give you those VC once we get out of here."

Athena replied before letting Shiina handle the frightened creature, she figured it would be better not to approach it together lest they frightened the poor creature even more. "Be careful we don't want to scare it away."

//"I understand... it's dinner time for us, right?"//

Even with such malice in her voice, Shiina's smile didn't really waver. Instead, she looked amused as she simply stared down at the pocket watch in her hands. Instinctively, her mind went blank and Jinguu appeared next to her, a kind of violent desire exuding from the Tainted Persona. The rabbit held the key to Alice's home, it said?

//"So this is turning into a chase sequence... Fine then. Athena, Lisa, let's start chasing it. I wonder if there will be enemies in the way. It IS starting to look a bit too peaceful..."// The Wild Card chuckled softly and started walking forward in the other open direction that didn't lead to a dead end. As her feet hit the ground, Shiina raised her arms and stretched, then did a few more stretches as she proceeded. Was she just getting ready to run? Her Persona's uneasiness, with her soft growl barely audible to the other Cadets, at least showed how Shiina was feeling at the moment.

//"On your marks..."// Once she was in position, the Cadet got ready to run. The faster they got to the rabbit, the better... At least, that's what she figured they'd have to do.

//"Set..."// She wasn't even running yet... Jinguu was anxious, though. She wanted to run, chase after the creature. Shiina was... slightly more pragmatic than that. While the Persona just wanted to rip the rabbit into shreds, the Wild Card would be satisfied as long as they got the key... and honestly, she could hear the Tainted Persona groan in her head, annoyed at the mental scolding.

//"..hmph."// ...would this really go over too well?

"Damn it the treadmill at the gym didn't prepare me for this kind of chase. Just how fast can this rabbit run." Athena said as she tried to catch up with the wild card, even though she was complaining the young model was able to keep a steady rhythm while talking "How can you be so athletic anyway? I was under the impression the Tsurinai was a wealthy family.... and most wealthy kids hardly train more than what's necessary to maintain good looks. Come to think Athena hardly knew anything about Shiina's family, or for the woman herself to begin with. She had read several gossip magazines about the fellow idol but being in show business herself she knew taking those articles seriously was the stupidest thing to do.

"Then again... considering how you've been trained... I would guess Tsurinai is not the stereotypical privileged family.... care to share a bit about them?" Athena said pausing several times in the process to breath. Should Shiina agree she would benefit greatly, firstly she would get some insight about her teammate and her rich family and secondly, and most importantly, the other cadet would be forced to reduce her speed to talk.

//"Something like a normal gym won't prepare you for chasing a demon, yaknow."// Shiina finished her stretches as soon as she said this, and was already leaning to start sprinting at full speed. She took a deep breath, but was halted by the other Cadet's words. Athletic? That was the usual for a Tsurinai, no? Or was that... hehe. Yeah, she understood. It made the Wild Card smile.

//"Keep up with one of us and I'll tell you. This won't be that hard, though; compared to my cousin, I'm far closer to a normal person."// And right then and there, she took off in full sprint. Despite her outfit, Shiina didn't seem encumbered at all while running. Her skirt kept out of the way, held up by frills on the inside that also happened to cover up any attempt at perversion, and her boots were made for traversing any kind of terrain. She was prepared for this, and she hoped Athena was too.

//"The Tsurinai family has lasted for ages at this point by researching the supernatural. We've had strong ties to demons and Personas for centuries at this point, I want to say. Our biggest accomplishment is the Tsurinai Group, currently working for the government, obviously; it's the reason I'm a Cadet now, officially."// Jinguu's face eased slightly as her User spoke, and in an odd twist, the Persona's mask vanished off her face, revealing a calm woman's beautiful pale visage. //"Unlike most other clans who just like to make our heirs look pretty, we make sure to keep all of our children as capable as humanly possible, both mentally and physically. Our daily routine consisted of homeschooling from the world's best teachers and our own instructors, as well as grueling muscle and close-combat training. We were allowed at least one choice in specialty. I trained and keep training both my aim with throwing weapons, and also, slightly, fencing, when I happen to need to defend myself at close range."//

The Wild Card's sprint slid to a halt at her Persona's warning. Jinguu laid a hand in front of her User and summoned her sword to her side as she looked around for what she sensed. Demons? Maybe... There were some nearby. Were they hostile? Shiina only seemed to smile softly.

//"Of course, these Personas and Demons were well-known to us for a long time... Imagine my surprise when my first day on the job was the day of the Eternal Divide. By no-one's will, naturally, I just happened to be the only Tsurinai there, scouting, pretending to be a tourist. Hehe... good times."// For once in a while, the Cadet grasped her firearms. Bolverk... she hadn't used these weapons yet. This would be a good time to test out her marksmanship skills. Her eyes could still see far, far away; her vision was perfect, she would almost certainly hit her target... she just had to locate it first.

The Tsurinai family sounded like something out of a fantasy group to Athena, perhaps that was what made the young model feel so threatened by it suddenly she felt much smaller next to Shiina. She used to be friends with a girl from an important family but the family of the said person was hardly anything like the Tsurinai, in fact she doubted there was a single clan in the entire Endymion which even resembled them, save of course for the royal family but Endymions royals were an entire different type of family. After the ritual which granted Athena her persona she had began question the queen's humanity. A normal human shouldn't have that kind of power. Even though she has been searching for a logical explanation Athena was unable to find one... in the end she decided the queen was simply a persona user with the ability to awake others to their potential and despite the many holes of that theory the girl was willing to believe it or else she feared she would go mad.

Athena wondered if the reason behind Shiina's particular abilities were behind her training as Tsurinai. After all unlike the other cadets she was able to control more than a single persona and yet the reason behind that was still unknown to Athena. "It must be hard to try to be on top all the time... I'm not sure how your cousin is but I think it's already hard enough to surpass the Tsurinai I know... meeting them would only make me doubt my skills further." Even though she made it sound like a joke Athena felt there was some truth behind her words.

As the conversation proceed the events of the Eternal Divide were mentioned. Even though it has been years Athena could recall every single detail from that night, it was after all the only time she truly acted completely selflessly... and the only time she failed so badly. "If only it had never happened...." The girl only said in a clearly bitter tone before she change her demeanor. "But let's not talk about the past any longer. We have to get the rabbit and fast. I swear each moment we spend in this hellhole the more I feel like I'm Alice in Wonderland, what's next being hunted by the queen of hearts for our head?" Knowing Alice and having a basic understanding of how her sick mind worked Athena realized that her sarcastic joke could turn out to be their next adventure. "I hardly recall the story at this point. It's a pity we could find some clues about what Alice is planning for us."

A Non-Hostile Enemy Appears!

//"Huh..?"// Shiina squinted at the... demon? Was that really a demon? Well, it wasn't attacking them, so maybe it was simply just under the drink's effect as well... interesting. //"Pardon, you must be confusing me with someone else. Now, if you'll excuse me..."// The Wild Card brought up her pocket watch and checked the time. //"Oh dear, I'm later than the rabbit that just bolted through here. Well, time to go, bye bye~"//

With those words fresh out of her lips, Shiina started to jog away from the Hatter, feeling slightly creeped out... That guy was like one of those nightmarish creatures they had found before, wasn't he? The Cadet sucked on her teeth as she thought this. That guy... was in reality a creepy abomination of humanity that most likely was so hideous they could barely stand to look at it. Yet Alice thought it was cute. Okay, she could see the guy as cute, he was pretty cute, all things considered... and now she was starting to see why Alice thought everything here was cute. Did that mean the rabbit they found was also a hideous nightmare bunny? A creepy, bloody nightmare wrapped in the fluffy fur of a cute little rabbit plush... damn.

//"Oookay, never thinking about that shit again."// She muttered and turned back to Athena. //"Either way, you won't need to worry about meeting my cousin. Naito-san isn't in Endymion and I'm sure he won't be for a long while..."// As she spoke, the Wild Card entwined her fingers slightly and looked down at the floor with a bit of a frown framing her eyes. Was she disappointed? Well... a little bit, to tell the truth.

//"Does the past really matter that much? Not like we can change it, so we might as well try to remedy it."// Though, even Shiina knew no average person could do that. Her predecessor, Yomi, had lost her life to contain the disaster so much already, and it still spread wanton destruction. Good grief... Though, change of subject, Alice roles, right. //"Silly Athena, we're not Alice. If anything, we serve more the role of the Queen of Hearts ourselves. Heh... now ain't that a silly picture to think about..."// Shiina just uttered that last part barely audibly so no-one else would hear. Speaking like that with her upbringing... bah, it just showed off her true origins more than anything.

Athena was ready to reply at the man with the hat, even though she didn't remember his role she was certain there was a man wearing a peculiar hat in the original Alice in Wonderland story and his role must have been a vital one. Just like the rest of Alice's lair he appeared cute and as if out of a cartoon show, though Athena was aware she was only seeing him like that because of the potion they had drank before they went after the rabbit. She tried not to think to what kind of abomination they were talking at that moment but it was too late and the girl's imagination was running wild. She imagined insects crawling out of his eyes and mouth and pieces of his brain sticking out from his funny hat. She had never regret reading eldritch horror more in her life.

Apparently Shiina didn't the idea of talking with such a creature either and in a very cold and rude way she rejected the man's offering of parley. Even Athena was taken aback from the wild card's boldness though she was too afraid to question her. As long as they stayed away from the mad hatter she would be happy even though she believed she could milk some information out of him. "Pardon us mister. We're after a rabbit!" She said as she run past him making a polite bow "We'll see you once we catch it....hopefully." With these words the young model rushed back to Shiina's side.

"If we're the queen of hearts then we should be entitled to some guards. I don't recall her running around chasing Alice..." She commented in order to complain subtly about the speed of her teammate. "I wonder if that man had any useful information... we can always return to interrogate him, even if he tried anything funny the two of us would have taken him on. It's not like he can beat both of us, right? Not to mention this freaking rabbit is moving way too fast. It could be leading us to a trap you know." This was something Athena have been fearing since they started chasing the white rabbit but only now decided to reveal, they couldn't afford to trust anything in there. Cats, men with funny hats, and frightened rabbits sounded innocent and fun but they could all have been potential allies with Alice, then again they could have been trapped here by whoever made that twisted world.
