| "You can get a taste of what people are really like, they look at you a certain way when they learn about you." That's...surprisingly insightful. Albeit for different reasons, Brittany could understand what Aya was saying, because it frankly applies to many things in life, from the serious matters to the less relevant ones. What surprised the most was that, contrary to her common sense, the girl in front of her, despite looking younger in age than Brittany herself, was considerably more mature than her appearance would indicate. Shocking and equally amazing to the point Brittany even looked over the slight mockery to the amount of dedication she delivers to her own appearance. "Oh...wow... You're, like, so smart... I mean, a friend of mine said he once met a homeless man, you know, the dirty, bearded type who looked like a worse poor version of Santa Claus, because his beard was so big that--uh, nevermind, he met this man and the guy said something about cherishing what you have, the stuff you hear everyday, but this friend was in a sad mood that day and the way the man said it seemed like he was some wise mentor sent from God-knows-where just to give my friend this message. Of course he was a bit creeped out, but then he said homeless people are the wisest because they have gone through so much in life. I mean, duh, it can be scary if someone comes out of nowhere to give you a moral lesson or something, but looking on the other side... it's so totally true!" | |

| Most of her story went in one of Kyokudou's ear and out the other. But she did give her a subtle nod. At least she understood what it meant. Not to say that the girl would ever truly feel it in the same way people like Kyokudou felt it. Of course however, the young nomad was never one who wanted any pity. Not like Brittany was wrong though, if you had something to cherish. Luckily for the girl, she had nothing to cherish outside her own life. It was something she always had even after leaving home, and it would never leave nor screw her over, so it's hardly something to worry about. Kyokudou was in a way at a point where she has reached self-actualization, at least for the moment. Of course she wanted more, but her life she suspected would always remain this way; an idea she was more than fine with. Brittany was sort of an irritating lady, but if nothing else she could see what it meant to have another side of life. She respected that, even if she wasn't too fond of her.
"People aren't gonna change for you though. Either make em or adapt," she said standing up and turning to another direction. She was starting to get bored of being here. It was about time to start checking out a bit of the louder places. She began to walk away from Brittany, but she could stop Kyokudou if she wanted to. She wasn't moving very quickly, there was no rush today really. | |

| Brittany would go on and on about another story her friend told involving homeless people, however it didn't seem like Aya was interested. She might be easily distracted, but she was not dumb. When someone simply walks away silently after talking to you, it can only mean one thing. "...okay? Bye? Ciao? Arrivederci? You know any of these words?" Despite her well-humored behavior, really, if you're gonna leave someone behind, at least warn them your time in said place has ran its course, no? As someone who seemingly opted to live in the outcasts of the society, Brittany understood she couldn't really demand politeness from Aya... But if she had a family before, then she must have been taught some manners, at least. What a dilemma. | |
