"..Is my Brother here yet?"
". . ."
"When will he arrive? He left before me this morning."
". . ."
Two cadets stood in the main entrance of the Class Zero Annex Building. They would easily be recognized as Lisa Lamecia, the younger Princess of Endymion, and Alex Tenth, one of the veteran cadets. Where Lisa tried to communicate with Alex, it would seem the boy wasn't having it. There was some tension in the air as Lisa placed a hand on her hip and gritted her teeth. She had no problem with Alex, as she knew he was skilled in his trade, but she did not appreciate the attitude towards her. Was he this spiteful that she became a cadet? It was only natural. Just like it would be natural for her to surpass him in strength soon enough once she became fully in sync with her Persona, Power.
In truth, Alex was more cranky that he had to be there. Originally Claire and Chris had taken his shift this morning and he wanted to head out to East Eden. However, he received a call from Julius earlier in the morning saying that he could not reach the two. Alex figured they were slacking off somewhere which became a pain in his ass. He already didn't like these new recruits, and now he had to show them to the classroom? Tch. He'd have to grin and bear with it for now.
"He's waiting in the classroom. Can you shut up and wait for the others? I only have one job, and that's to show you there. Not to answer your questions, alright?" The Cadet would cross his arms and wait for the rest to arrive. To think they survived the ritual was unbelievable, but there was a chance they'd punk out and not show. After all, being a cadet meant your life was going to be in danger every night. Could they handle that? This hyped up chick that was of Julius' blood, to Alex's knowledge, seemed like she was going to be a pain in the ass. Little did he know they were going to be rivals aswell. They were both competitive, but he was not as obsessive at being the best as her. After all, he didn't have anything to prove to anyone. As long as his close knit family stayed together, that was fine with him. It'd be better than what happened to him during the Eternal Divide when he was abandoned by the cowards he once called his Papa and Mama.
Lisa looked towards Alex with narrowed eyes before crossing her arms and turning away. She figured he'd be a brat. In all honesty, she wondered how someone his age became a cadet anyway. He must have been relying on Julius.
The two cadets continued to wait for the others to arrive...

| Maria wasn't quite sure to expect from this morning meeting, her choice in what kind of countenance to adopt even less. Now that she was now officially inducted as a Cadet, the novice nun had to step up her game. There was a fervent want for additional training to prepare herself for the incoming trials as part of her new occupation. Perhaps this afternoon, she would have to hit up the Orishiki Dojo. The thought of it caused her to quirk her lips into dissatisfaction, she wanted to focus on the morning classes since less people would be around. But, she would have to make some sacrifices to her schedule. "So this is it." Maria had stood before the building and finally entered. Her eyes first noticed two familiar figures. But, she soon noticed there was a sense of unease between them both. The nun wasn't sure what to make of this, but she knew this signaled this morning wasn't going to be so smooth. That did it, Maria now knew what kind of front she should put up now. "Morning! Did you both sleep well?" Both Cadets that she pleasantly addressed to should notice how oddly cheery the blue headed girl was compared to her stony expression last night. Not that it should be the only thing they should focus on, since a lively girl carrying around a dark coffin made for an obvious juxtaposition that blatantly stood out. Maria allowed the coffin's straps to slide off her shoulder and was careful to have the bottom end meet against the ground without making a huge noise as possible. She then happily waved towards Lisa and then looked back towards the shorter Cadet. Maria beamed a smile at him as she spoke, "I'm Maria. What's your name?"She remembered this one back when she had to enter the entrance to the Queen's chambers. To her recollection, he never introduced himself back then. Since they were going to work together, it was a better time than any to start creating connections. | |

| The morning was finally here, and it was time for the promised meet up. A wonder what it was going to be about, but Noah wasn't too interested in analyzing it ahead of time. That would change nothing about what is really to happen, so why even bother with the pointless, right? The one thing he was curious about was the number of people that would come though. Would it be only the two of them from yesterday or are there more new people coming in...?
Regardless of what the near future held, he would make his way through the entrance not very long after Maria, just in time to see her trying to initiate some sort of conversation. Oh wait, the grumpy one was here. That would probably make things tough. Alex, was it? He remembered the other two mentioning the name yesterday morning, but it didn't matter anyway. If he got it wrong, he'd stand corrected since Maria just asked for the guy's name. That is, if he was going to oblige the question in the first place.''Hey. We all here yet or waiting for more people....?''
He opted out of the small talk for the current moment as he just got here. He seemed to be a bit different than before though, a slightly different air about him. Maybe it had something to do with the whole human-shadow change? That notwithstanding, he would walk over to the rest, waiting to see how would this develop.

| When the two others arrived, Lisa would be the first to pay them mind. "As if I could sleep." She responded while placing a hand on her hip. Alex, however, did not respond whatsoever. When he was asked his name, he turned away and still didn't say a word. Lisa watched him with round eyes before looking back towards Maria. "He's not much of a talker, nor does he seem to like the fact anyone passed the Ritual. Apparently Julius is waiting in the classroom and he's supposed to lead us there. I'm not sure if more are joining us, but at this point I believe just us three are enough new recruits. After all, that demon last night didn't stand a chance while I was there." Lisa sure was confident in her abilities and it caused Alex to roll his eyes and begin walking towards the center doorway between the two large staircases. He'd practically kicked the doors down, and the group would be greeted by a rather large lecture hall. Standing behind the front stand would be Julius, who was technically the teacher of Class Zero, aswell as their leader. Alex and Lisa made their way down the steps to stand before Julius who looked at the small few with a thin smile.
"Hmm, I see the first few have arrived. More may be joining us later, but that does not mean we cannot get started now." Julius spoke with his usual calm, confident tone as he looked towards the three new recruits. It reminded him of the time he had met Alex, Chris, and Claire beforehand. Time sure did fly when you were enjoying yourself. "This will be our main base of operations as protectors of this City. Those who show promise in Class Zero have the opportunity to graduate and become Royal Guards who work solely beneath the Queen. The woman you met last night is the only to hold that title as of right now. But that is a conversation for later. After witnessing the battle last night, I see there is some combat training that will need to be done. Take your seats." Julius would walk to the chalkboard of the class while he gave the cadets time to find a seat. There were not assigned, so they could sit about anywhere they had wished. Alex went to the very back of the class and took a seat with his feet up upon the desk infront of him. Lisa sat in the very front near Julius' attention.
"Our first lesson will be about combat roles. When in combat with demons or psyche terrorists, there are certain strategic positions you will want to take to counteract their forces. There are four lines to our combat roles: Vanguard, The Main Line, Rearguard, and the Quick Reaction Force. You two seemed suited for the Vanguard role. This is where our physical attacks are. They do the most damage and can take the most hits, but they lack in magic and support skills. The tanks of our force are on this line." Julius turned to look at Maria and Noah with a thin smile. His attention then turned to Lisa and he'd pinch his chin in thought about her. "Your Persona, Power, seems very versatile. You would do best on the Main Line that neither hinders nor strengthens any of your attributes. It's well rounded, like Alex's abilities."
The Prince would begin to jot notes down on the board in terms of information when it came to Combat Roles. He made it as clear as he could so they could understand without getting too confused. "Any questions before we move on to the next subject?"
- Combat Roles:
Seeing that the cadets are trained as a military force, their combat system differs from the standard combat of those who are not aligned with the Government. Each person in combat can take a combat role that gives them latent stat boosts in terms of their combat and aptitude; making them a dangerous force. It is up to you what role you'd like to have during combat. However, you may only hold one role at a time, and cannot switch when combat starts unless you have a strength or skill that allows it. However, if you're removed from combat and put into the Quick Reaction Force; when you return it can be of a different role.
The Different Roles and Their Boosts:
Vanguard: The foremost cadets. Those who specialize in being at the front of the battle would want to take this role in combat. Cadets who take this role have a latent boost to defense stats by 25% and their attacking stats are raised by 10%. However, their SP and luck stat are lowered by 30%.
The Main Line: Cadets that centralize on all that's needed for combat. They do not get any stat boosts, nor do they get any stat reductions, being on this part of the formation.
Rearguard: The team at the backlines. In this formation, you'd usually want to put your support oriented members. Support skills (tactical skills, healing, buffs and debuffs) receive a 5% boost in terms of potency (if they refer to percents in how they work.) and your SP and Luck will be raised by 40%. However, in the Rearguard your attack stats will be lowered by 50%.
Quick Reaction Force: The team who does not participate in battle. They standby at the ready; looking to switch out with their comrades when need be. Considering they are not participating in battle, and are on standby, there is no change in stats. When coming into battle, they can choose which role they wish to take. Those coming in from this role or leaving the combat zone to join this role will be completely open for attack, and will not be able to defend themselves. Their next turn, they will be able to take a proper turn of action in combat.

| Maria turned to see Noah was there. He seemed rather reserved this time around. Was it because of what happened last night? She hid the look of concern on her face as she smiled at him and waved. Looking back at the duo that came before her, there was a lot to be desired as far as relationships goes, but it had to start somewhere. She found herself chuckling softly at Lisa's confidence. "I see. I hope we can learn to work together soon. I was also hoping there were more joining us... but I guess we'll have to make do." Maria had to admit, the fight last night didn't inspire a whole lot of confidence for her. There were definitely tougher enemies out there and they didn't have the luxury to be overly confident in their own abilities as they are right now. But more importantly, they had to have a more cohesive group structure with each member working together to the best condition possible. Personal strength didn't matter if they couldn't work together when it was required. The girl knew from last night's experience. She found herself wincing at Alex's rude kick to the doors. Brazen entrance aside, the lecture hall was considerably huge. And as promised, the Prince waited for them here. As if on cue, Maria followed after Lisa and Alex to stand before Julius. She carefully minded her coffin's large size and tried to make sure it wouldn't damage anything or just make any necessary noises on the way down. Maria surely looked ridiculous in the process to her own chagrin. She listened to what the man had to say. The little tidbit about becoming the Royal Guard caused her to grimace, slightly ruining her positive countenance if only temporarily. But she had something more immediate issue to worry about: finding a seat. As big as the lecture hall was, the coffin was going to be an issue. But thankfully not many people are attending this session this morning. Maria awkwardly sat in front of the class, with coffin leaning against a nearby seat. Like any student, she started to take notes from a notebook and pencil procured from a compartment of her coffin. "Vanguard..." she muttered while scribbling Julius' teachings on her notes. It made sense. She was made to hit hard and shrug off hits. It seemed like the ideal role for her. But her own concern was her own slower attacks. Maria remarked at Julius while spinning her pencil between her fingers in thought, "It sounds like those who are slower by nature would work best in the Main Line than being a Vanguard if you don't want to compromise firepower..." | |

| Despite his slightly different demeanor, Noah didn't appear to have a specific issue with the company and all, giving Maria a wave in return as his blue eyes scanned over the other two. Such a strange team, wasn't it? He understood that Alex didn't like having sudden additions to their teams, but there was no way to change Queen's orders, was there? It's a bit of a drawback to let your attitude create tense relations right away. Giving the name wouldn't have hurt anyone. Ah well. Lisa on the other hand was pretty talkative, albeit with a somewhat inflated ego. Sure, she had been helpful in the fight with her heals, but would she have faired that well alone? He hadn't seen her perform any attacking move back then.
''Every hand on the deck can be useful. Maybe we'll be enough, and maybe not. It's too soon to make conclusions about either of our performances. We only fought once so far. Let's see what they got for us this morning first, alright?'' One step at a time would probably work the best right now. At least until they got a hang of it all. There's always a time to be cocky, but it might be a little too early just yet. Even Noah would say that, and he could sometimes be pretty stubborn himself. What was a bigger problem though, overconfidence or being a brat...? Million dollar questions aside, he would follow the rest with only an amused quirk of his lips at the door kick. As long as it didn't hurt anyone who was alive, he'd give it a pass right now.
Soon, they found themselves standing in front of Julius as they were given some additional info. Royal guard, eh? Sounded like some fancy position to be at. A wonder why was it mentioned when they were just starting out. That said, he would move to sit at a place next to Maria on the side where the coffin wouldn't be an issue, listening as he leaned his chin on one hand. Combat roles, hm...
At Maria's eventual concerns, he would close one eye in thought. ''From what I understood, we can switch out, right? You don't have to stay at the front all the time if you find out it doesn't suit you. It probably depends on the type of opposition....'' If the enemy isn't fast themselves, then it wouldn't be an issue to have a slower Vanguard, would it? Besides, the roles couldn't be set in stone. There was no saying what abilities one can learn when they train and get stronger...

| "Correct. Positions can be switched when needed in combat. It depends on the situation and the enemy." Julius gave a smile as he placed a hand on his side and the other on the desk before him. "Though, the situation changes depending on your abilities. Demons have always been marked as our enemies in this city, but some lend us their power through negotiation. Like humans, not all demons are inherently evil. However, it's safe to keep in mind that not all demons can be negotiated with. Those who are stronger than yourself will have no reason of joining you, so keep this in mind." The Prince would turn to the board and begin to write an explanation on demon negotiation, and the process of gaining their power aswell.
- Masks:
Forging Masks A Persona is another mask one wears to face the hardships in their lives. Taking that basic concept, the Velvet Room (and Chee) have obtained a new function of forging Masks for users to use during their journey. The main ingredient to forging these Masks are Demon Essence that are obtainable by negotiating with demons. When enough essence are obtained, a Mask can be forged for a User to wear. When wearing this Mask, you get the ability to summon the Persona the mask represents along side of your own. It will act as a supplementary Persona, coming with a potential boost to stats and more skills to be used. With these Masks, you do not only have your own Persona, but a second one, so you may be versatile for any situation. However, the stronger the Mask, the more cards that will be needed to forge it. You can find a list of available Masks under the Velvet Room. To forge a Mask it does cost VC, but you will find them necessary to complete your goals. However, once you start a mission or traversing a dungeon, you cannot switch your Mask. You can only bring in one Mask per thread, so be sure to make the right choice. Just like your regular Persona, Masks gain experience and level up to learn new skills. Once maxing your Mask, you may perform a Sacrificial Fusion held by Igor(Chee). Igor (Chee) will take the core essence of your Mask and fuse it with your currently equipped Persona. This will allow you to take a skill from the Mask and replace a current skill on your Persona. However, the Mask's level must be maxed for this to occur. Once the Mask is used in a fusion, it is lost and must be re-forged. As the Wild Card already has many masks they can wear, they can not utilize these masks as well as the other classes. Thus, these Masks are virtually useless for them and gives them no benefits. However with the Wild Card's ability to wield many Personas and change whenever they'd like, they will soon find they are quite capable without the ability of wearing these special Masks. **Masks CANNOT be given to other players. Masks forged for you can only be used by you.** **These Masks can also be forged by Chee at night in the Backlight District. Those who do not have access to the Velvet Room can purchase their Masks here.** **Those who work with the Government will instead tear their Mask in two when summoning their Persona, instead of wearing it like the Persona-Users. They do this to symbolize they have nothing to hide behind a false Mask** **There will be a Mask List located in the Velvet Room where you will be able to choose what Mask to forge**
"I'll need to introduce the lot of you to Chee. She's an interesting woman that provides services for us at night. She is rather strange, and alittle different, but she seems to have some sort of agreement with my Mother to run her business." Julius had an odd look as he scratched his cheek with his finger and looked to the side. He didn't quite understand how the woman was able to negotiate and keep her Black Market running without the Government shutting her down. Though, she was the least of their worries right now in the city. She helped them more than hurt them, so removing her was not on the list of objectives as of yet.
"Going over things with the new recruits, Julius? Sorry I'm late." Claire stood at the doorway to Class Zero and made her entrance. She walked to the front of the class to the Prince and bowed her head slightly before turning towards the class. "Hey, I met some of you before. My name is Claire. So you all are the new recruits huh? Not a big party so far... Well, anyway, Julius I came here to tell you of a new case. I've been asked to investigate a disturbance at the Sunlake Palms this afternoon. Do you mind accompanying me for the investigation? I figured we'd be able to knock it out together pretty fast. Apparently there's a psyche terrorist in that area that's luring unsuspecting people into a kind of... wonderland... as they would describe it." Claire placed a hand on her hip and spoke with some thought. "Though, with your approval, maybe it'd be better if I took the new recruits with me on this investigation? It'd be better for them to stretch their legs and see not all their work will revolve around combat."
Julius listened to Claire and gave her words some thought. Normally he'd be the one on the front lines but perhaps this would be a prime opportunity for them to experience the forensics side of being a cadet. It was their job to hunt down the potential threats of the city through investigations and picking up clues. Claire was a wiz at this, and thus she'd be the best teacher they could ask for when it came to learning the trade. The Prince gave an easy smile and nodded. "I have no problem with this, Claire. I believe Alex and myself can handle the regular patrols today if you wish to take them under your wing (The sound of Alex grumbling could be heard in the background). Have you heard from Chris today as of yet?" He asked with a raised brow. It wasn't like the young man to be late to class, but perhaps something had come up. Claire simply looked towards Julius and shook her head.
"I haven't seen him since last night. He's probably taking some time off this morning." She responded immediately before turning towards the class and leaning back against the desk. "So congrats on passing the ritual. You've all met our Queen, her Royal Guard, and now you're allies with royal blood. How are you all feeling? Ready to lay your lives down for this City and our Government? This job isn't easy, you know. We're the one thing keeping the Terrorists from burning this city to the ground."

| "..." Maria continued to jot down her notes, while learning more about this world that many people wouldn't see, the mention of demons caused her pleasant expression to sour. She had a fervent hatred for demons given her background, but she kept silent on this. The topic made her blood boil at times. Yet, she couldn't quite discount that negotiation wasn't a viable option at times. Her connection to Andraste was one example of this, as much as she hated it. While continuing to write down notes, a new voice heralded a new arrival which caused her to pause writing and look back. Maria remembered she was one of the Cadets that greeted Noah and her last night at the ritual. She silently watched and listened to the two Cadets converse to each other with her interest rising at each uttered word. Combat was the only thing that was expected of her from the Church of Freaks, that was all the investment and time had devoted her to. It wouldn't hurt to see where investigating could take her, maybe. The idea of a girl walking around with a coffin in the investigation team might just hamper them instead. But who knows? "If we weren't ready, then we would have been eaten by the demon last night. Nor would we be talking with each other right now." She was rather blunt about it. But in her view, the moment they stepped into the Chamber, the new recruits should have been ready to give themselves up to service. She knew better than most that this job was dangerous. Maria grasped tightly on her forearm, her clothes and her tattoos hid away her scars of that time five years ago. They burned when demons were mentioned, stoked by her own anger and something else. But to fume in it right now, wasn't just the place or time to do it. So she smiled gently and apologetically at her senior, "I was being rude, I'm sorry. I'm Maria. I plan to get along with you and the other Cadets well for the sake of our work. And thank you, I hope we don't let you all down." | |

| Making 'friends' with demons, huh? Well, Noah wouldn't have a big issue with that. Maybe they'd even make fun pets to keep. Besides, why fight on your own if you can have some back up on your side, right? A skilled fighter uses all their tools to win and make their way forward. Was that how they controlled the demon that was used in the test yesterday night? Quite interesting methods...
Before they moved on much further another face showed up, turning out to be one of the cadets from yesterday's morning school event. And she brought an investigation request along with her. A Psyche Terrorist and a wonderland? Huh, that almost sounded like some sort of fancy joke combo. Er, brainwashing maybe? What exactly did the Terrorists do to cause problems anyway? He didn't remember ever hearing any actual details of their activities around the city. Perhaps he ought to ask about that...
First things first however, as they were actually being signed up to participate in this new mission already. They're sure not missing any beats, heh. Though they were starting to sound like parrots with their warnings about the job not being easy. It's not like they didn't get the memo the first time. On that note, wasn't it too late to back out even if they wanted to? Noah doubted they would let people who went through that ritual of theirs just step back and run around without batting an eye. ''Hey, if we were cowards, we wouldn't have signed up for this to begin with, would we? The job ain't easy, but what's the point of repeating that over and over? You lot almost sound like you're trying to scare us with the talk at times. What good is a fighter who gets paranoid about things though? The point is to do what you have to regardless of how tough it is. There's always a way.''
If those Terrorists were that much of a threat, it's not like they would always have the time to check if they're ready and all that. As sad as that can be. Even though his motivations weren't really similar to Maria's at all, he wasn't about to crawl on the floor just because things weren't to be easy.
''But yeah, I'm sure we can get this done.'', he would comment after Maria's introduction and all. Seeing as he had already met Claire yesterday morning, there was no need for him to give his name anymore though.

| "Haha, both of you are pretty rude, but that's alright. There's nothing you could say that could get me mad. I'm just glad we have more people to add to the team." Claire placed a hand on her hip as she spoke in a carefree manner. It really didn't bother her whatsoever. They had a point, obviously, considering they were here right now. Once surviving that ritual and swearing allegiance to the Government, it wasn't that easy to just turn your back to your calling anyway. She knew that all too well. Once, she could be classified as a terrorist. Leading a small band of fighters, she was the cause of alot of trouble outside the city limits. The moment her reach began to fall into the city, Julius was sent out to encounter her. That was the first time they had fought, and that was her first loss after gaining the power of Persona. When she went through the rehabilitation process, she found her hate was taken from her. Like someone took a rag and wiped the sweat forming on her forehead from that very hate. Once clean, they rung it out away from her, giving her a clear mind: a clear conscious. Instead of returning to her previous life, she decided to join the cadets where she had a blast. Claire never wanted any of it to end, but she knew all good things came to an end sooner or later. She wanted to ride this out as long as possible.
"I'm glad you all are so willing to put your lives on the line. We're going to make great friends! Do either of you have any experience with investigations? I know that's strange, but maybe one of you majored in the field. I have no idea." The Cadet shrugged her shoulder and gave a small laugh. Though this entire conversation, Lisa watched with her chin propped upon her hands. The young woman's eyes looked upon her elder brother, who stood behind the desk and watched the scene silently.

| The girl laughed nervously, "I hope we get along well. I have reason to believe we need to stick together after... last night."Maria wryly looked back at Noah for his comments with an equally wry smile forming on her lips. He clearly was the more unapologetic of the two, but judging by last evening, Noah was an alright person. It's not like she could blame him for voicing any irritation at the warnings ad nauseam. But it was nice that he agreed with her. Nevertheless, she knew why they kept repeating themselves. It was a dangerous job full of responsibilities, they were meant to protect the People and that weighed heavily on Maria than her coffin as inconspicuous as it was. Maria shook her head at Claire. "Truth to be told? No. But, I am interested to see what else I'm capable of and what I should work on improving to be of better service. I would like to take part if my coffin isn't an issue." Maria didn't know on how the investigations will go. She had reason to believe that her luggage might be an issue: attracting unnecessary attention. But, she did want the experience. What better serve the Queen than expanding and strengthening on her own repertoire of skills? This was as ample of an opportunity than any other. "About this investigation, what other details are there that you can tell us before any of us can begin?" she asked curiously while pushing up her spectacles with a finger. | |

| ''Don't worry, I got nothing against you. Just wondering about the system, that's all.'' Noah would smirk thinly. He wasn't going to do anything about it anyway. Not for no actual reason. He just had his straightforward answer when it came to this. It was a little late to question motivation or readiness after they were already signed up for it and here. He would look back at Maria with a laid-back expression at her wryness. He didn't seem to mind it much. Besides, he wasn't trying to attack anyone with what he had said, so he didn't see a big issue with the matter unless someone was really grumpy about it all in which case he would simply figure out a way to deal with it.
''Investigations? Haven't tried much of that yet, but as long as we're all careful, it should be alright I'd say.'' They just needed to be stealthy enough and look for clues, right? Of course, there is always something that can go wrong, but he'd opt to think they at least weren't dumb to begin with. ''You don't have any way of hiding it, do you?'', he would ask Maria with slight curiosity. He saw how she used that coffin last night, but was carrying it on her the only solution she had...? He didn't exactly know much about how her abilities worked, to be honest. Another thing to ask about once he had the time.
He would shift in his seat thoughtfully as Maria asked her question about the details of the investigation before adding his own inquiry. ''Speaking of that...the issue is a Psyche Terrorist, yes? Do we have a way of identifying them amongst normal people or is that something we snoop for as well?'' It would be much easier if they at least had a way to tell one on sight and all that, as much as he doubted it was that simple.

| - Social weakness:
Weakness Name: For every friend... —Description: Achelle is a polarizing woman on the best of days, and a sadistic monster on the worst. It hard to tell, even to her, which she'll be at any given time. Penalty: Once per Topic/Scene, when interacting with anyone that requires Expression, the GM rolls 1d2. if 1, Achelle acts as normal. if 2, Achelle will say or do something to automatically fail the expression test.
"Careful?" Came a somewhat polite sounding but still very obviously mocking tone from the door. "I'm sorry, but a seven foot tall pitch black coffin with a three foot solid gold cross is probably the least inconspicuous things I have, personally, ever seen." Achelle was standing there in her male academy uniform, leaning against the wall next to the open door. "With all due respect, lugging that thing around must be a pain, and trying to be nonchalant with it will peg you as a mark almost instantly." She uncrossed her arms and shrugged while shaking her head. "It's almost as obvious as a damned blinking neon sign." "Oh that's right. I forgot to introduce myself," she said as she leaned off the wall and walked over, acting as if she didn't just act and say what she just did. "Achelle Walker," she said. "As for snooping out a Terrorist, that's exactly what an investigation is for. I admit I''m also unskilled at it, but I at least know what one requires, which is observation skills to both look for clues and to read intention in witness testimony or physical quirks or tells, as well as the intellect to be able to use deductive reasoning to logically combine all that into a proper hypothesis." She continued to say, in that same politely mocking tone as she used at the beginning of her diatribe. "If you've read any true crime novel or even Sherlock Holmes, understanding what an investigation needs isn't hard." When she was done, she turned to Julius and bowed slightly to him. "Good morning." she said, almost as an after though to the man who's actually their boss.

| "Last.. night?" Claire's eyes had narrowed for just a split second as if shooting daggers through Maria. However, her expression relaxed and she gave a smile. "Oh, last night! The Ritual, yeah!" She clapped her hands together and gave a wink. For a second she seemed to be someone else, or atleast in another part of mind. "So no experience with investigations, huh? I figured. I have no problem showing you all the ropes. It's the least I can do. And who cares about a coffin?" Claire shrugged her shoulders and looked towards Noah. "And we find Psyche Terrorists the good ol fashion way. With investigating. The Masks they wear are created by their inner egos. It protects them from our radar through an unknown means. Once we capture them, we can rip that mask right off."
The conversation would be interrupted by a newcomer who came even later than Claire herself. The female cadet raised a brow at this newcomer. "You're rather late. You should apologize for interrupting the conversation, even if you were trying to add onto it." She spoke with a soft tone towards this newcomer named Achelle Walker. She remembered her before, but they didn't speak at all. They were bothering Alex, if she could recall. Speaking of Alex, he noticed the person come in late and face palmed in annoyance. How could they pass the ritual? Could anyone become a cadet?
Julius looked towards the young woman that came to him and gave a bow. Giving a soft smile, he'd raise a hand towards one of the seats as if instructing them to join the class. Though he was their leader, he did not plan on taking the stage from Claire. He trusted her enough to lead the class for the time being.
Claire tapped a finger on her hip as she turned back to the class. "So continuing on, I don't have much information about this Psyche Terrorist. I know it's a female and she's notorious for playing games with those who get caught in her sights. Her codename is Alice. I take it, it's based off Alice from Alice in Wonderland. I can only suggest her abilities may have some form of affect on the mind." That was all she knew on the Psyche Terrorist in question. She only hoped they would be enough to take her down, considering they were new recruits after all.

| Maria blinked in surprise at the sudden hostility from her senior. She didn't quite know why, but something about it felt off. But, she simply set that aside in the back of her mind for now since it didn't seem all that important since Claire quickly bounced back. She listened to her, taking note about the features of the Psyche Terrorist's masks. The nun had to admit, it felt nice that someone didn't seem to take much interest in her luggage. Maybe she could get along with her senior after all. "..." But her smile started to fall when a newcomer came commenting about her equipment, not allowing her to answer Noah. Maria remembered her, the girl that she tried to get that compendium on demons from the day before. The Forgotten's face was simply blank, not taking any offense to it. No need to descend to her own level, that would compromise any group cohesion. But how long could it last? Glancing towards Alex and Claire, they seemed to know her. Ignoring the new arrival, she continued to listen to Claire. Their target was based on the Alice In Wonderland story. Immediately she had some idea... Or really just a gut feeling. It sounded stupid to her, but it's better to begin brainstorming some ideas. Though the idea that this enemy could alter the mind caused her expression to sour again. Maria spoke, "Have you looked into the victims? What do they all have in common? And what kind of games are we talking about here? Cards? Croquet? "The questions had her wonder if the Psyche-Terrorist's actions were also based on Alice and if it were, to what degree? | |
