| Sharaku would just smile thinly when Jack addressed him before leaving. ''I'm not like you. I'm not going to follow along just because of the promise of friends. It isn't always about relying on someone to be there for you. Besides, you already have several people going. There's no point. You don't even need me, and it helps us little if we all huddle together in one spot while there could be things happening at several places. I'm almost always on my own, so this changes nothing.'' And in a way, it was probably for the best. Aside from Jack, none of the rest that were going with the civilians expressed interest in him for real. Some didn't even care to properly acknowledge him. He wasn't the one to ask people who aren't completely into it to cover his back. Everyone's preaching about friendship and all that, but it's often conditional anyway. And you can't always bank on having assistance just when you need it.
''Is there a reason why not? If you lot are here to help dealing with the issue, then it only makes sense we'd run into each other.'' They obviously weren't making efforts to hide regardless of this particular circumstance, so what is this 'weren't supposed to meet so many' nonsense for? He would snort faintly. ''We've been through plenty hell last time, and now as well. Another day makes no difference anymore. You pose a tough question, however. I have no business of tagging along with the rest of them, and I suspect most won't even actually miss me anyway. There's a lot in this mess to look out for anyway. If I decided to stick with you guys, what would happen?'' There was probably very little help that Aldred could immediately offer him right here and now, and he prefered to look at things in a longer term either way. Since he was basically on his own now, it would be better for him to at least stay close to them, whether they were actually of help or a hindrance in the end. That, and they were a factor in this whole calamity after all, and someone has to keep an eye on them... | |

| Sharaku had a point, though he need not comment on it. When he asked about tagging along, Aldred place a finger to his helm. "It is likely we would be going to see Yufosa himself. Our home is part of the bridges between worlds, and near the Core itself. Normally we aren't allowed to take you there. It's classified. If you can convince me, I can perhaps take you with us." The suggestion perked Irina's ears. "You know how dangerous that is? You could get in huge trouble, over him." Aldred shook his head. "If he can tell me something that we wouldn't know from this investigation, something we need to address to Yufosa, I will have to take him with us. It is only if he has the right information." | |

| Information? Is that really all they cared about at the moment? Technically speaking, in that case he could just tell them without going along, no? It makes no difference. Assuming he even knew something they didn't. Which was unlikely at this point, considering much has already been talked about both at Lunapa and here. He would give them a questioning look. ''Does that truly matter at this point? Both you and the people living here are involved in this mess as is. Seeing as we already figured out that there appears to be an uneven distribution of information even amongst your group, I would assume it's beneficial for us all to put our heads together to put an end to this properly.'' People were already splitting up enough on other fronts. And if what truly matters here is saving the world, is haggling over things like this even worth the time? ''Most of the time, I've been in your company though, so I can't really know much more than you already heard during this commotion. I know a bit about the whole traitor business due to knowing the new member that your boss assigned to that, which might be the only thing that could be of interest to you.'', he would shrug. ''Though, what would he do to me anyway? You know, I've already met Yufosa once. Back then, he even offered me to come along with the one who he then turned into one of you. Alas, he apparently appreciates people who jump at vague offers without thinking more than anything else. He even claimed that if we meet again, it will not matter. Makes me wonder if he has a thing for underestimating people based on assumption.'', he would shake his head. ''Regardless, in the end the choice is yours. It's not like I'm stupid enough to pick a fight with you lot on my own over an insignificant disagreement. If you're afraid of getting in trouble for putting in some extra effort, I suppose I could just wait around here for you to come back.'' Maybe there was still something left to do around here, who knows. As much as he didn't see the reason for getting nitpicky about this. If they really were a strong group and all, he wouldn't be able to do any harm by going with them. | |

| Aldred put in some thought to what he said. He certainly wasn't wrong, but it essentially went against the concept. They were meant to be able to watch over and make the decisions that saved the worlds in a broader sense. They protected them from the outside by working on the inside. Perhaps to others it may seem like they were "holier than thou", but it was a creed they had been following for some time. "Fair point," he said. "I can take you with me. We can speak to him, and then I can return you here. It is up to you. Irina?" He looked to her, and she placed her hands over her hips. "What else do I need to say?" With that, he would summon a strange black spear, the size of his body and cut a rift into the air near them. Sharaku could follow like before, however he saw strange golden planes and orbs on the other side. It was almost surreal, surely this was not where they resided? | |

| Interesting. He almos expected them to put up more resistance since he went a roundabout way rather than telling them some information. Not that he even really knew what would strike them as valuable info after having heard all that already went on either way. ''Alright then.'', he would look at the two thoughtfully. ''I don't really know what your rules are based on, but if you do get in trouble for this, feel free to blame me for convincing you.'', he would smile thinly. In the end, he'd have to deal with what comes out of this nevertheless. And he was mildly doubtful that Yufosa would just straight out punish them while letting him be. It was kind of also his own fault for being lenient in watching over his members. Though, if he was strong enough to allow this kind of travel, as well as living in such a place...maybe he was actually watching them all the time. That would be annoying, but still entirely possible at this point. Sharaku would glance at the new portal...lots of golden, hm? It almost looked like some magical desert. People sure choose strange places to make a living in. Guess it was time to follow and see what would come out of this trip....

| A hard-earned victory was made, and a heavy rest would be needed for them to face the trials next. They could now focus on their world. However the burdens of the world beyond and others still plague their minds. What to do next...?
