| End of the day... It was just about time to go back and hit the hay, in fact. News of what happened in the colonies started to spread like wildfire, starting with the Maiden's disappearance and the destruction of the Stadium Hall, although luckily, none of those involved were actually caught by troops or soldiers as they left... It was an exhausting day.
"Ryer." The Wild Card would feel the God's voice in his head again, and his presence would once again be made manifest by his side. The man ran a hand through his red slicked-back hair and inhaled deeply, before lifting up his mask and looking at Samael with his amber eyes."...you're not like most, are you, Samael? You have a certain... unique role here. The way your essence reacted against those creatures, it was... impressive, to say the very least. I made a good choice, it seems." The God of the Ego couldn't help Himself from smirking as he vanished again in another blink... and with them, footsteps sounded. "Don't look behind you, Ryer. Not now." His voice still echoed in his mind, and the footsteps got closer, only stopping once the person that was making the noise got right up to his... back...
It was dark out, much darker than Parangelia usually was. People didn't have the spirit to brighten their day anymore. A low voice came from behind Samael, with a tinge of amusement."Hey there. Don't you know how to greet a new pal? ... Turn around, and shake my hand." If he turned around, he could see what looked to be the figure's hand stretched towards him invitingly, but the lighting was dim enough that it was impossible to see anything else but the basic outline of a person's shape... what was he going to do?

| That had certainly been a rather uneventful day. Who could have expected it would go from celebrations, albeit a bit boring ones, to dangerous battles and kidnappings? No one, most likely. Except for those that were behind it all, that is, but who knew who all that included? Regardless of what happened prior, Samael was currently on the way to his place as the day was slowly coming to and end. Alas, fate had a different idea.
''....?''
Somehow, he wasn't even that much surprised anymore. Maybe he was starting to get used to unannounced visits, seeing as he knew that they could happen based on the little previous experience he had. He would look towards the man. ''I wouldn't know. But I suppose you're saying that for a reason.'' It's hard to make sense of implications when you're missing a great deal of the picture.
He would frown slightly at the sudden warning afterwards. What, would he see a ghost or something? It was honestly less comfortable to just wait, and he would probably have to turn around eventually. Which was soon proved right as a voice sounded from behind him. Another person? Somehow, he had a feeling this wasn't a coincidence...and he didn't really tend to have people call him a pal on a first meeting, while he was sure he hadn't heard this voice before. After a moment of consideration, he would turn around, deciding that there was no point in doing anything else in this situation.
Hm. He was definitely getting 'acquainted' with strange people lately. And while he would like to know the reasons behind such occurences, answers didn't come easily. ''Hello. Are you someone I'm supposed to know?'', he'd respond, deciding to take the hand, although remaining cautious. It probably wouldn't make matters worse, but one never knows. If someone wants to harm you they don't need a handshake for it to begin with, so he was probably safe at least.

| The God wouldn't respond further to Samael's comments, but he would be able to feel a thin sentiment of satisfaction from the being's influence on him. Nyarlathotep was certainly... happy, call it that. His question would only be answered by a half-opened mouth, or so the gesture on the figure's face make him believe, before he grasped the person's hand...-Bzzzzzt- Samael would feel a light shock coursing through his arm, with strong enough force to at least make him pull back, followed by a loud and cheerful laugh, which strangely made a few faraway houses light up, illuminating the street."oh goddess, the old zapper trick... hahaha, it never fails! The young man in front of the Wild Card stifled his laughter before letting out a relieved sigh. "well, uh, this'd be your cue to laugh, or something. anyway, i'm someone you're supposed to meet, if that answers your question. name's dio, dio the human... or, wait, i guess we're both human...? hard to tell at times. He put on a light cheerful grin, slickly removing the zapper that was on his hand, all the while flicking a switch on it to turn it off. It seemed Samael wasn't in any danger at all right now."so, uh, mind if i ask your name? it'd be kinda silly for me not to know it, since i just gave you mine. courtesy and all that." He shrugged lightly, closing one eye, but simply waited afterwards, seeing what Samael would do. Nyarlathotep would simply snort at this, almost amused. | |

| Obviously enough, this was not what Samael expected, so he would pull his hand back at the sensation of being zapped all of a sudden, giving his strange companion a questioning look. He figured this was most likely some sort of joke anyway, since it definitely wasn't strong enough to actually paralyze him or anything, but still. It was odd to say 'hi' in this manner, especially when you don't even know how much will the other side appreciate some sort of surpise joke.
''I'll laugh once I figure out the punch line to this joke.'', he would shake his head somewhat lightheartedly. Honestly, with how much weird he was meeting over the course of this day, he couldn't even get really offended by this. It was still better than the self imposed teacher guy from earlier today. At least, for now it struck him that way. ''What do you mean by that? I think I do look human unless I'm mistaken.'' Or was this about something else? Well, he was probably not really normal with these new powers. That much he could assume, but he doubted it would make him be not human as a result.
''It's Samael. A pleasure to meet you, I suppose.'' Although he still didn't know why. But frankly, half the people he ever met, he didn't actually know why. As much as this probably held more meaning.
