Appearance:
Standing at 5’ 11’’ (180cm) and weighing approximately 154 lb (70kg), Samael doesn’t seem much different from an average young man his age at a first glance. Not too thin, but not overly buff either. His most noticeable traits tend to be his hair and eyes which have a slight tint of coppery red instead of being plain brown, with his eyes leaning more towards a reddish color while on his hair it shows mostly towards the tips of his bangs. Most of the time, he gives off the image of being calm and focused on whatever he’s doing, and while he may not seem intimidating in general, he definitely doesn’t give off the vibe of a foolish teen.
He tends to dress mostly casually, generally being seen in combinations of dark grey, orange and red, although he does wear other colors too. Regardless of that, he is alright with formal wear as well, but is not seen in those kinds of clothes very often.
Personality:
Laidback and fairly sociable when around people, Samael has no problem approaching most people when it suits his interest or seems worthy of attention is some way. He is no stranger to friendly chat with people, regardless of whether he knows them or not, but he does take the time to size people up, even if they may not realize it at first. Sure, he will extend the courtesy for as long as he is not being ridiculously antagonized from the start, but he can be dismissive to a certain level when it comes to people that prove to be lazy assess.
He is a hard worker, and prefers to get things done one way or another, therefore he can at times be a bit on the sarcastic and standoffish side if he sees someone around him being a slob. Until they prove that they can do more that that, at least. He may have high standards in general, but he isn’t exactly cruel. Still, don’t hope to be on his best side if you plan to simply tag along and bask in the glory of other people’s work. On the other hand, he will stand by people who show they are capable of putting in some effort when needed, amongst other things. He deals with people his own way though, and may sometimes make decisions that aren’t his usual style, depending on what he thinks of the situation or people involved.
The Potential
Strengths:
—Strength Name: Sword Practice (Double Dex) —Description: He’s taken up sword fighting when he decided to get involved in soldier training, and he is fairly good at it, being able to execute accurate moves in quick succession without a lot of effort.
—Strength Name: Quick Eye —Description: He’s a good observer, being able to assess a situation/place and notice a fair amount of details much quicker than an average person, giving him the ability to use the information well during events such as quick-paced fights.
—Strength Name: Ambition (Leadership) —Description: He’s always been the type to keep going until a result was reached, and he can be excellent at making other people pull through as well when he puts his mind to it. Things are no good when half assed, and thus he does his best to keep everything and everyone going forward.
—Strength Name: Fast learner —Description: He’s definitely on the smarter side, and knows how to make use of it. Sometimes getting things done takes adapting strategy, and he is capable of learning from mistakes rather fast, as well as from things that he sees happening around him to apply the knowledge in his own endeavours later.
—Strength Name: Open-minded —Description: Determined as he can be, he will still listen to opinions of those around him, and may take them in mind when making decisions. Albeit, this may be influenced by how much he trusts the person in question, he will at least consider a different approach at things before moving on.
Weaknesses:
—Weakness Name: Blind Spot (Takes 10% more damage from Critical hits) —Description: Swift with sword fighting he may be, but he does not have the buffy muscle to back him up when someone manages to bypass his offense and strike him hard.
—Weakness Name: Reserved —Description: He’s smart alright. That is a given. But most of the time, he tends to only be smart in his head. He will tell others what is most necessary, but he likes to keep certain things to himself instead of laying out all his thoughts. Unless he believes someone is worth the time being a full confidant.
—Weakness Name: Stubborn Drive (Takes 5% more damage when under 30% HP) —Description: He refuses to give something up once he’s already got it started and moving, and he can be persistent to no end. Afterall, what’s the point of taking on a task when you’re just gonna drop it soon after? He tends to push harder the worse the path gets, even in conflicts which can cause him to focus on his own well being less than he should.
—Weakness Name: Up-front —Description: Casual friendliness aside, he is not the one to tolerate slackers and people that mess around constantly for too long. He will make sure people learn from their mistakes well if it shows that they may be endangering the situation/things around him. Maybe a bit blunt at times, but goofy ignorance isn’t an option if you want to be successful in the long run.
—Weakness Name: Risk-taker —Description: Sometimes you have to go out of the box when the trusted plans aren’t working, right? He does his best to not do anything stupid, but he will go ahead and take a potentially dangerous risk if he believes it can bring about a favorable result.

The Background
History:
Samael was born as one of two children, having a brother 3 years younger than him. Most of his younger years were just fine, but his parents were busy most of the time, and he ended up being the one always taking care of his brother once he was old enough to be able to. Considering how his brother was quite the goof, and hard to keep in one place, it was definitely not an easy job. But he hardly had a choice. He had always been expected to put in more work than his younger sibling, which has sort of become a habit that persists in some ways even after he has grown up. Except for the fact that he’s diverted his aims towards different things instead of being a babysitter forever.
Once he was 16, he made the choice to move away from his family, to the other side of Parangelia, starting his own life. Soon afterwards he took up training as a soldier, seeing it as a way to get somewhere further in time. Being the one to never give up, he is usually among the top in his performance, although for now it is unknown what he plans to accomplish just yet….
