Ezekiel “Zeke” Luce
“Were y-you talking to m-me?”

The Biography

Birth Name: Ezekiel “Zeke” Luce
Aliases: SynDrome or Syn
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Birth Day: February 29
Arcana: Jester
Place of Residence: Vista Square
Evoker: Mental Shackles
Academy Semester: Third Year
Class:

Sorority:  Media Sorority

Part/Full Time Job: Computer Technician – Family Business

Appearance:
Ezekiel would tell you that he stands five nine, but he may be losing a few extra inches in his common slouch.  Because Ezekiel is a chronic binge eater, he can range from chubby to typical body weight, but few muscles ever protrude.  His weight hovers just above 190lbs.   Ezekiel would have looks that could kill, but he refuses to take care of his appearance with defenses like “If someone is attracted to me for me, they won’t care what I look like”. Ezekiel sports disastrous brown hair with a mind of its own.  Ezekiel also has a beautiful pair of blue eyes, but with every beautiful pair comes baggage.  Instead of dapper attire, Ezekiel finds himself sporting the “whatever’s in his closet” look, which may or may not work for him (results are inconclusive).  Typically Ezekiel tunes out of the world, leaving everyone to marvel at just how absent minded his stares are.
Appearance:

Alternate Appearance:
When Ezekiel wears the mask of his persona, Ezekiel becomes his exact opposite.  He stands at a straight 5’ 11”.  His personage is one of confidence and elegance.  Every movement looks choreographed and practiced, but in a confident way.  Ezekiel takes power stances in which he puffs out his chest and spreads his shoulders.  His entirety is intimidating.  His body becomes slim and lean.  His hair becomes an electrifying blue that sends jolts down his enemy’s spines.  His skin becomes pitch black.  His typical garb(age) becomes a nice black suit with a white collared shirt and a black tie.  Ezekiel’s face is covered with a white mask with black markings would typically be.  In the spot for lips, the words “YOU ARE FREE” curve like a smile. Above his left eye are the words “THROUGH THE DISTORTED LENSES I FOUND A CURE”.
Alternate Appearance:

Personality:
Ezekiel is a quiet kid.  He doesn’t talk much in class, though he understands the material well enough.  Because Ezekiel is often focused on a single task at any given moment, it is hard for other to approach him.  As such he is typically seen as a loner, but he would be willing to hold the company of any person that would have him.

Ezekiel doesn’t like to show his emotions to others, so he often puts on a somewhat dissatisfied face.  Ezekiel doesn’t show his emotions out of fear.  Ezekiel is an incredibly anxious, nervous, and fearful individual.  No matter who he is talking to his words will fail him, because he is worried about looking stupid or saying the wrong things.  Ezekiel also breaks down in large crowds and when speaking to too many people at a time.  Ezekiel lacks self-confidence and avoids eye contact at all costs.  Even with his father he feels that he is not worthy to look him straight in the eyes.

Worst of all, Ezekiel suffers from hallucinations.  He imagines demons and monster walking around the city.  Compounded with his fear of the demons, he is afraid that the government will lock him away for insanity.  Occasionally, though less often, Ezekiel will look into another person’s eyes and they will turn a glowing yellow or red.  After which, Ezekiel imagines the person becoming a shallow and vulgar form of themselves.  If he looks in the mirror, he sometimes sees himself morph into a monster.  Luckily for Ezekiel his dad has recently been giving him medication that seem to block out his hallucinations.

The Potential

Strengths: (Anything your character is skilled in, such as Martial Arts/ Drawing/ etc? You are allowed a maximum of five strengths and a minimum of three.)

Strength Name: Tech Guru
Description: Maybe it runs in the family, or maybe it was a gift perfected over time.  Either way, Ezekiel has a knack for electronics that other kids his age just wouldn’t understand.  Doubles social quality points gained for intelligence.

Strength Name: Attack Speed Boosting Strength
Description: Allows Ezekiel to attack twice with his Soul bound weaponry in PvS conflict in one attack post.

Strength Name: Adaptability
Description:  Ezekiel is able to adapt to new situations on the fly and more often than not will find a solution.  Though most of his solutions involve running away from the problem at hand (Wait a sec guys, is this really a strength?... They’re telling me it is.  Okay.) .

Strength Name: Common Face
Description:  Ezekiel’s face is so common, he has been talking to a person who looked at their phone to answer a text and looked back at Ezekiel only to ask if they knew each other.  That person was his dad.  Ezekiel is almost impossible to recognize if not blatantly named.

Strength Name: Anonymity
Description:  With the anonymity of his Mask Ezekiel develops a new façade.  He becomes confident, courageous, and more than a tad bit arrogant.  Anything, no matter how haughty, is better than his normal personality.

-----
((A floating Strength is a strength you've gained in RP. For example, if you were on a Kendo team for some time, you'd naturally know Kendo which is where this strength would come in. However, be aware, it will not be as strong as any of your actual strengths and is a small plus)

Floating Strength Name:
Description:

Weaknesses: (You must have the same amount of weaknesses as strengths. These weaknesses pertain to you and not your Persona. IE: Physically Weaker, lack of attention span, etc.)

Weakness Name: I think it moved!
Description: Being a programming genius takes time, y’know what else takes time? Becoming a presentable person.  Too often genius and appearances come into conflict, but hey Albert Einstein isn’t remembered for his dashing looks, although Isaac Newton (bownwow).  Halves social quality points gained for expression.

Weakness Name: Attack Speed Cooldown
Description: After Ezekiel attacks twice with his Soul bound weaponry, he may not use his Soul bound weaponry to attack for one combat post.

Weakness Name: On Edge
Description: Ezekiel is constantly worried or paranoid or all around anxious.  He rarely has a time where he can just relax and unwind.  Because of this, Ezekiel is constantly searching and often times exaggerating potential threats that he needs to avoid.  “That dog is about to pee on that fire hydrant, what if its urine loosens one of the bolts and the hydrant sprays water sending me flying lifeless through the Wild Duck Burger’s window.  I better try to go to school again tomorrow.”

Weakness Name: Sugar and Spice
Description:  Although Ezekiel is a huge worrywart in the day, when night comes and persona time begins, you can’t drag Ezekiel away from a fight.  Even if an adversary is much stronger, Ezekiel will run recklessly into battle and won’t retreat until he has fainted or the foe is neutralized.

Weakness Name: Do I know you?
Description: Whether it is online or through a mask, the power of anonymity isn’t always as strong as one thinks.  One never knows who knows who one is (Did anyone follow that, I know I didn’t?) which means the safety of anonymity isn’t as safe as it seems.  Ezekiel has no clue who might be tracking him or on the verge of discovering his identity.

-----
((A floating weakness is one gained in RP. It could be a fear you inherited during RP, or an injury that hinders your character. Some can be temporary while others can be permanent.)

Floating Weakness Name:
Description:

Soul Bound Weapon: (This is the weapon you'll be able to summon to your hand while in combat. This weapon is special for your character specifically and allows you to fight Shadows and Demons without the need of summoning your Persona. This can be anything but a Gun (Or gun related weapon))

Weapon Name: Practice Bow
Weapon Description: A bow used almost exclusively for archery practice.  Despite being entrusted to high school students, this wooden bow has the stopping power to do serious damage.
Weapon Image: (Not necessary)
Weapon Attack Type: Piercing
Weapon Element: (Leave this blank. Only special weapons obtain an element behind its blows.)

Side-Arm Weapon:

Side-Arm Name: .357 Magnum
Side-Arm Description: A gunslinger has never looked quite so inept as Ezekiel does with his Colt revolver.  The barrel is four inches.  The gun is made out of silver steel and has wooden panels on the handle.
Side-Arm Image: (Not necessary)
Side-Arm Attack Type: Gun
Side-Arm Style:
Revolver - Single Shot - Accuracy is increased by 20%. Consumes only one type of ammo per use. Can shoot only one enemy at a time.

The Background

History:
Growing up Ezekiel lived a rather easy life.  His parents were relatively successful.  His father was an adept computer programmer and his mother was a popular elementary school teacher.  Financial there were never any problems, but slowly, as Ezekiel grew older, he sensed an uneasiness in the household.  Soon enough, his parents began to argue and fight.  The day Ezekiel turned nine, his parents decided to call it quits.

The custody battle was vicious.  Ezekiel’s father was financially better off, but he had always been unstable with recreational drug use and alcohol consumption.  On the other hand, Ezekiel’s mother didn’t have the money to support a two person household, but she had a clean record and never touched drugs or alcohol.  Each of the parents’ lawyers spit out vitriol and slander against each parent.

Ezekiel learned things about each parent that no child is ready for.  His mother had cheated on his father, but his father had taken out his frustrations in the local bars.  At the end of the proceedings the two seemed to loath one another with every ounce of their beings.

Even still, the judge couldn’t decide who should get custody of Ezekiel.  Without any other options, the court did something no court should ever do.  They forced the child to choose between his parents.  It was a catch twenty-two.  Whichever parent won custody of Ezekiel would likely try to keep him away from his other parent, and the losing parent, feeling dejected would likely try to stay out of Ezekiel’s life.  Either way, Ezekiel was losing a parent. Faced with the decision, Ezekiel did what most young boys do when the world overwhelms them, he cried for his mother.  At that moment, the decision was made and the course of Ezekiel’s life was set out for him.

Ezekiel and his mother moved out of his father’s house and stayed in a single room apartment.  Ezekiel, already feeling the hardships of life began to feel dejected.  He wasn’t allowed to see his father, though he had heard his father wanted to see him.  Feeling alone, Ezekiel turned to video games and the computer, which his father had sent him on Christmas.  Ezekiel found a means to escape from everyday life.

However, as Ezekiel turned more and more towards the cyber world, his mother became lonelier and lonelier.  Her affair didn’t work out, and the man cheated her out of her divorce money.  Every day was a struggle to make ends meet.  In her eyes, Ezekiel began to act and look more and more like his father.  She realized that she still loved Ezekiel’s father.  She spent many a night crying.  Hearing his mother’s sobs was enough to break Ezekiel out of his virtual world.  Each night Ezekiel would comfort his mother until she fell asleep.

When Ezekiel turned eleven he began to encourage his mother to try to rekindle her relationship with his father.  Ezekiel’s mother began to allow Ezekiel’s father to come to family gatherings and allowed him to spend time with Ezekiel.  Though the two had been estranged for so long, Ezekiel immediately noticed the similarities between himself and his father.  The two got along amazingly well.  After Ezekiel turned twelve, his mother really began to try to put the moves back on to Ezekiel’s father… And it worked.  The two began to talk, and eventually began to talk about trying to work out their relationship.

It was the first date that Ezekiel’s mother was going to go on with his father since the divorce.  Ezekiel’s mother decided to have Ezekiel pick out her clothes since his likes were so similar to his father’s.  The two went to store after store before they were able to settle on an outfit that would win any man over.  They settled on a red velvet dress with ruby lipstick and bright red heels.  Ezekiel’s mother didn’t have time to go home, so she changed in the store’s bathroom.  When she came out, Ezekiel was blown away.  He hadn’t ever seen his mother looking so beautiful and happy.  Ezekiel and his mother strutted out of the store and to the meeting location.

Then it happened.  Ezekiel’s entire life shifted once again.  When the Eternal Divide struck, the entire world seemed to close in on itself.  The ground was shaking, holes cracked through the pavement, and towers toppled.  Ezekiel lost his balance and fell onto debris.  Ezekiel hit his head and blacked out.  When he came to consciousness, he saw things that couldn’t possibly be.  Demons, monsters, and terrors were dancing about the city wreaking havoc on anything they could find.

Ezekiel heard his mother’s screams in the distance.  He searched through rubble and carnage to find his mother in her velvet dress, skewered through the chest by a tiny, red demon.  Ezekiel let out a scream, and the world around him glowed in a white hue.  A heaviness began to take hold of his body.         Ezekiel tried to fight the feeling.  He tried to tell himself it wasn’t real, none of it was real.  He refused to accept the truth.  As quickly as the white hue emerged, it retreated back inside of Ezekiel.  Ezekiel passed out once again.  When he awoke all that was left was the lifeless body of his mother.  Her wounds still looked like piercings from a spear, but Ezekiel knew that what he saw didn’t really happen.  After all, demons don’t exist.

Ezekiel managed to make his way out of the area with his mother’s body.  While trudging through the streets mother on back, a forlorn man scouring the wreckage of a nearby automobile caught Ezekiel’s attention.  Ezekiel called out to the man, and the man ran to Ezekiel.  Both Ezekiel and the man collapsed to the ground in each others' arms.  Luckily, they both had survived.

Following that day, Ezekiel was forever changed.  A once happy go lucky kid whose life had just begun to look up was turned into an antisocial downer.  Ezekiel found that the fewer attachments he made to others the less it would hurt when they had to go, like his mother did.  Ezekiel became a pessimist and depressed.  He also became extremely nervous everything was out to get him.  He had to be on alert at all times or another Eternal Divide would happen and he, or worse his father, would be killed.  And to make matters worse, the hallucinations of demons and ghouls persisted.

Every night, Ezekiel was greeted with the faces of evil wandering about the town.  Some of them even tried to talk to him.  Sleeping wasn’t much better.  Ezekiel always faced nightmares replaying the torture and death of his mother and the strangling white light.  It was all overwhelming.  Eventually, Ezekiel went to his father for help.  Ezekiel’s father, fearing his son would be taken to an institution, looked for a solution in the places he knew best.  One day, Ezekiel’s dad came home with a bag of fluorescent green pills.  He told Ezekiel “They said if you take these you will feel better”.  Ezekiel knew better than to ask who they were.

While the pills didn’t block out the hallucinations entirely, they did stop the nightmares.  Also, for some reason the demon hallucinations seemed to be intimidated by Ezekiel more than they previously had been.  The pills seemed worth the trouble, so Ezekiel continued to take them and began to become comfortable in his daily life.  And he is trying to keep his daily life just that—comfortable.

OOC Note:Kudos on your Alternate appearence

For your normal Appearence it'd help if you kept a set weight.

Your app really looks fine. For your Potentially crippling Dex weakness however.  You can lower it down to 1 turn if you'd like. Same for alternate.

#Approved for Endymion unless said otherwise.

Other than what I said #Approved.

You also need a place of residence. Areas for Endymion are up.
