General Appearance:

Standing at about five foot nine inches, Evelina is slightly tall for a teenage girl and she has a fit build. Despite her lean appearance, she is deceptively strong. Framing her oval-shaped face, she has short light blonde hair. Her eyes are a dark blue, and she prefers to wear round glasses although she sometimes puts on contact lenses. Concerning her attire, Eve's fashion tends to lean towards a tomboyish appearance. And, she often wears casual clothes and occasionally over-sized clothes for the sake of comfort. The girl doesn't wear anything particularly fancy except for a few cheap necklaces and bracelets. When it comes to how the teen sounds, she speaks in a slightly lower tone than the most girls. And, her voice typically sounds gentle and calm.

When Evelina transforms into her alternate appearance, Eve's skin turns into an almost ghostly complexion and her lips change to a pale blue. Her once blonde hair is a black-blue. The girl's eyes become beady and they darken to a dark-grey color. Regarding her mask, it is a metallic looking piece that mostly covers her lower part of her face and the mouth section of the mask has rows of sharp teeth. Her terrorist outfit consists of a black sleeveless unitard, long dark blue hoodie, and she basically walks around barefoot. The hoodie she wears reaches nearly to the floor. And when the hood is pulled up, its design resembles the head of a shark. Adorning her exposed arms, tribal tattoos mark the left arm while her right arm has a large shark tattoo on its shoulder.

Personality:

Typically a calm and collected person, someone would likely be a bit surprised that Evelina wasn't always so levelheaded. In fact, as a child, she was a person who was easily swayed by her emotions particularly jealousy and envy. One could say that she was a sort of a hateful kid especially towards her younger brother when they're growing up, but the Eternal Divide forced the teen to change her ways. The disappearance of Eve's parents made her see things in a new perspective. Life was too short and fragile to dwell on nothing, so she developed an easygoing and relaxed attitude.

Not only has her demeanor changed, but Eve's has become more involved as a big sister towards her little brother. While her familial loss has made her grateful for what she still has in life, Isaac seemed to close himself off. And, this dispiriting change in her brother made Eve protective of him. This is part of the reason why she decided to take up self-defense classes and join the Martial Arts Club. The other reason was that the girl realized how defenseless she was during the Eternal Divide. Of course, she isn't an aggressive type but Eve figures that it's better to learn how to maneuver in a fight than freezing up on the spot or fleeing mindlessly. And because of this recent involvement in martial arts, Evelina discovered that she really enjoys this activity and she likes learning new fighting styles from other people.

Despite the fact that Evelina looks rather bookish, she is not what one would call studious or organized. In fact, she is sort of struggling student in Seven Stars Academy. Even though she doesn't hate school, the girl views the structure of learning in academic environments as boring and ineffective (at least to her it is). Eve prefers to learn something in a more hands-on way than reading about it from a book. Usually, she relies on going with the flow of things and changing her actions as she goes along.

—Description: Whenever she is in tense situations, Eve has shown to be fairly calm and steadfast. Ever since the Divide, she always tries to remain cool-headed and rational in case the girl needs to depend on her wits to get out of the predicament.

—Description: In contrast to her bookish appearance, Eve is pretty strong for a teenager. Plus, her involvement in athletics like Martial Arts Club have certainly helped her physical strength.

—Description: Typically, Eve is patient and courteous towards everyone even if it's a person she doesn't particularly like. In fact, she is willing to try to understand other people's personalities before casting any judgement towards them. After all, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is considered the Golden Rule, right?

—Description: At first, Eve took up the Martial Arts club as a way to defend herself, but the teen soon discovered that she actually likes fighting. Even though she is still considered a greenhorn when it comes to martial arts, Evelina has some potential into becoming a fairly good fighter as long as she keeps at it. Additionally, she enjoys sparing and watching others fight since it is a way to improve her skills.

—Description: Near the beginning of her relationship with her step-father, Eve was usually prickly and distant towards him until one day he took her fishing. The peaceful and restful activity helped the girl open up to her new guardian. Now she not only fishes as a pastime, but as a way to remember her old memories of her step-father. And, she occasionally catches fish for her aunt's restaurant.

—Description: Eve isn't one to be easily panicked, but she can't help but feel a bubbling anger well up within her whenever someone threatens herself or her allies in combat. This emotion is something that she tries to subdue because it isn't helpful in tense situations, however, she can't seem to control that.

—Description: It isn't correct to say that Eve doesn't try her best at school, but she isn't what you would call an "academic" type and that certainly shows in her grades.

—Description: While she has a interest in fighting styles, Eve is still considered a newbie when it comes to this activity. Even members in the Martial Arts Club remark that she needs to work more on her form. The teen likes watching others' fighting techniques, but she isn't so good at pulling them off.

—Description: The Waters family were always people accustomed to simple country life. And, Eve's unrefined appearance and mannerisms could possibly rub those of more sophisticated taste the wrong way. Also, she would face great difficulty in ingratiating herself in a high-class group of people.

Weapon Description: Eve's soul bound weapon is somewhat similar to a leiomano which is a shark-toothed club used by various Polynesian cultures. The club is wooden and the teeth are sewed into place in the weapon. The weapon is about a meter long and 6 inches wide.

The Background

History:

As the daughter of Madeline Steele, Evelina was born healthy and normal and she experienced little suffering before the time of the Divide besides family financial troubles but they were living just fine for the most part. However, Eve's biological father died in a car crash around her second birthday which made her mother withdrawn and depressed. Although a few years after the incident, Madeline began seeing another man. Soon, this man was a humble fisherman named Ryan Waters who would eventually become her step-father. It hadn't took long for her mother to remarry and bring a child into the world.

Living a ways away from the city of Endymion, Evelina lived in a small household consisting of her step-father and mother, the unborn baby growing inside Madeline, and Eve. Settled in a one-story house in a town, they were accustomed to small-town life and relative peace before the Eternal Divide. When Eve's little half-brother, Isaac, was born she felt a wave of intense jealousy rose as the girl noticed the affection was given more him than herself by their mother. At least, she viewed it that way while she was a kid. After a couple of failed attempts at trying to gain her mother's attention from her brother, she was forced to be around him more by their mother. Initially, she acted hostile towards Isaac then he grew on her more than she would care to admit at the time.

By the time Evelina entered middle school and Isaac was in elementary school, things were relatively normal until the Eternal Divide happened. On that fateful day, the four were enjoying their reunion when the demons attacked them. Descending upon their mother and father first, their parents told Eve to take Isaac and run to safety. The children took off, trying not to look behind them. During the chaos and riots, the two roamed around and witnessed horrible things from demons, and heinous acts between humans as well.

After the catastrophe, the two children weren't able to find out about their parents' whereabouts, but it was assumed that they've died during the catastrophe. Eventually, the two kids were adopted and moved into Endymion with their maternal aunt, Meredith Evans, and her husband Lucas Evans. Naturally, the kids grieved their parents' demise and slowly adjusted to living with their aunt. At the start of Evelina's new year of high school (and the beginning Isaac's year in junior high), the girl has grown accustomed to living with her new guardians and she felt as if she was beginning anew in the city despite her loss. However, her little brother has grown more distant and reclusive as days go by.
