The claws piercing at his hands hurt like hell, but it was nothing compared to the sinking realization they were too fucking late to stop Jandice from turning into a much scarier costar from Twilight. Coughing at the concentrated stench right in front of him, Julian stumbled back a step as Jandice released him, mind whirling a mile a second as he took in the current situation. Guys from before holding the door. Someone's going to burst in soon. Need to take care of this. Shunnosuke offering support. Gone now. Just he and Hyde. And now Jandice was changed, and they needed to occupy her until they could figure out how to change her back.

Swallowing his disgust and anger at the turn of events, Julian steeled himself, getting ready to act. He followed Jandice with his eyes as she went past him, turning so as to face her and keeping a few feet away from the wall. Quickly, he slid his hand into his pocket and tapped at the screen of his phone, watching with barely concealed surprise as Jak faded into view. He hadn't expected it to work. There was the feeling, and...Was it because of Jandice's change that this was happening now...?

No time to dawdle. The teen threw a few words of instruction to his persona through his thoughts, then quickly followed up with a muttered phrase that would cause Jak to twitch for a moment. Heh. Looks like even after over a few hundred years, the guy still wasn't used to magic being used on him. Jak didn't appear bothered for long, however; he soon laid eyes on Jandice and lowered himself into a crouch, tilting his head as a wide grin overcame his features.

I heard you wished for a fight...?" Jak asked lowly, canines just barely poking over his lips as his smile became animalistic, almost like Jandice's. The smile was meant to hopefully intimidate her; if it worked, chances were she'd be too frozen by fear to do much. "Then let us play, child."

Jak had appeared about seven feet away from Jandice, angeled moreso towards the corner of the room while still appearing in her line of sight. He then made a taunting little gesture towards the woman, urging her forwards.

Hyde wasn't too sure what he should be doing at the time being, should he be trying to back up Julian on attempting to pin her down? "Red Robin!" Robin showed up and with a summon of a sigil, a restrictive sign appeared on Jandice in the form of deliberate, weakening her movement speed, and making sure that her attacks did much less to julian than intended to. Afterwards, Hyde would try to space out in order to cover another side of the room. His current idea was using ice magic of some sort in order to freeze Her in place, but that was only if the situation continued to be dirt. Julian, i really need you to be less "Jack the ripper" and more college brain, do we pin her down or what?!"

Hyde had some timid movement as he was about 10 meters away from jandice at an angle, providing support for now and contemplating if he should pull his punches.

When the battle began, Jandice would grin in glee as everyone attempted to attack her, though all they seemed to do was debuff her and not exactly put up a fight. So be it; in that case, in a short moment her body would begin to slide into the ground as though fading into the shadows; which she was, into her own shadow in fact before it became a black circle on the ground at around five feet in diameter. The shadow began to move horrifyingly on its own as it slid across the ground. Hyde had backed away at an angle, which left him near the wall near the hole that they came in, while Julian backed away to the other corner. This allowed Jandice to creep across the floor near the area where they were originally, leaving her a straight line from Shunnosuke and an angle line between her and the other two. Suddenly she would rise halfway up, her upper body and arms revealed in the room as she summoned a cyclone of wind around her before shooting it in an arc towards the three, enough to cover the top of the ceiling and spread to the edges of the room, catching Hyde, Shunnosuke and Julian in the attack. Her attack was weakened, but she had good instinct that several were in danger from the attack, as Shunnosuke was focused on trying to escape, and you'd find it hard pressed to follow a shadow on the ground in a fairly lit room with purple mist obscuring the area as well. Julian and Hyde if caught off guard would be slammed back towards the debris and glass, which they would be lucky enough to avoid. They would be able to catch her pulling herself up from the shadows, however after the attack she would fade back into the darkness. Her speed while was slowly burning up, got lowered by Hyde so she herself could not make any safer movements. How could they deal with something they could barely see?

Being left without an answer was as annoying and rude as Israfel would never act, and still it's the least of his concerns. In sight of a cyclone blast coming right in his direction, Shunnosuke didn't really have time to think otherwise. His back hit against the wall, making him yell a hoarse, breathless gasp as the pain quickly spread. With some difficulty, he managed to stand up on his feet, glaring at Julian like he's not kidding around this time.

— Remember what I just said about not hurting her? You see, I changed my mind. — He seriously wanted to help the thugs to hold the door, but if Jandice wouldn't cooperate...so be it. Andromeda's eyes gleamed with a weird red aura to the red-haired teenager, and now Hyde could feel a brief surge of empowerment thru his body. — Do not hold back. — Advice given, Shunnosuke would walk at a fast pace to the other side of the basement, considering he hasn't fully recovered from the second blow of the night. Assisting the thugs had the potential to be all kinds of a fruitless endeavor, given his lack of strength and his vulnerability the moment he tried to escape the room. He wouldn't commit the same mistake twice. Instead, he directed himself to the other door, keeping a close eye on Jandice; if she tries to pass thru him, the teenager might not be able to impede her attempt to escape but at least he'd serve as a slowdown for the other two boys. His hand twirling his chain weapon repeatedly, wary of the possibility of Jandice going after him.

Before Julian could answer Hyde, his attention was diverted back to Jandice. Or, well, the lack of her. She had been there one moment, and now...where the hell did she go? For a moment, he started to panic. Did Jandice get out of the room? How the hell-?

He felt himself being torn off his feet like in one of those cheesy action films. He barely had enough time to throw hs arms up and over his face before he came crashing back down into...something not quite as hard as he thought it would be. He blinked once, twice, trying to calm his racing pulse and reign in his labored breathing. It only took a second for him to realize that, in the midst of the confusion, Jak faded away and reappeared behind his owner just in time to prevent him form getting a nice series of bruises and scrapes.

Pushing himself to his feet with a wince, Julian surveyed the situation for a second, trying to decide on the best course of action. Well, trying to toy with Jandice hadn't worked; she'd gone for this ninja-like assault instead. Now he could barely see the woman, and they couldn't very well contain something they couldn't see. Tch...as much as he didn't want to hurt her, it seemed he only had one move that might be able to bring her out of hiding.

"Hyde!" Julian called out, hopefully garnering the redhead's attention. "Gimme a second, Jak'll try and find her. If he can, reign Jandice in in some way, alright? A cage, a net, a barrier, I don't care, just cut her off and try not to hurt her too much!" As he said this, his persona would stand upright and, after a quick dusting of hsi shoulder, leapt into the air and began to sporatically leap around the basement floor, crashing to the ground with nails extended. The persona made no sound save for his claws hitting the pavement, and his pattern would be so erratic that Jandice could not follow it.

If Jak was able to land a hit on Jandice, he'd keep his nails embedded in the shadow in order to pin her down and would let out a gleeful cackle, to which Julian would shout, "There!"

As his persona searched the area, Julian crept carefully along the wall until he was now at the back of the basement, almost directly across from Shunnosuke but a few feet to the underclassman's right. Despite the stinging in his body form the earlier fall, he kept his body as loose as possible, ready to act should the need arise, and constantly scanned the area, looking for any signs of Jandice.

Hyde's instincts started to kick in and knew an attack was coming, so he summoned his soulbound spear and rooted himself in the ground while he took the damage. Afterwards, Hyde took the notes of his friends into account and switched to his lucifer persona.Due to the fact that Hyde received a boost from Shun and worked with Julian, he wasn't going to allow himself to get hit. Judging from the space and positioning, as well as being able to combo with strength attacks because they couldn't clash with each other, Lucifer positioned himself in front of the persona users, made an almighty barrier with the simple wave if his hand, encasing the other side of the room in a bright arcane light, In the sense of the fearsome attack, he basically generated enough energy to create a controlled illuminated box of arcane energy that would of more than likely covered the side of the room that jandice was on. The incredible pressure of the almighty attack would of pinned jandice down to a degree, no sort of chance or way to escape due to the fact that jandice wasn't on their side of the room. The controlled box of light was about a meter away from hyde's group, and jandice would have to be crazy to think she could pull a fast one on satan himself.

on that other side, it would of looked like daytime over there, the bluish streaks of energy flowing through that beat out jandice's attack would of brightened up the room a bit, long enough for Julian to make his move and catch a glimpse of the anomaly that was jandice's current way of movement, allowing for a clear sight and a better strike afterward, Julian's persona remembering the positioning and the off guard almighty attack staggering jandice. This was done before julian, due to the fact that julian was swept off his feet while Hyde rooted himself before hand, taking the attack but didnt get pushed back. This was a combination of his forewarning, defensive vest that was highly resistant to magic, and as well as Hyde's quick thinking.

Jandice simply watched as Jak struck at her, completely unable to be struck by it, and when he did hit her, it did nothing. However it was what came next that was the most cruel. An Almighty attack that easily overtook her Shadow and the entire basement behind her in a holy light. She would be damaged, along with the basement behind her, now in complete ruins as even the debris were smoldered and barren. it revealed where she was for a short time before she was hidden once more in the dark. It even shook the ground above them, alerting some outside. "Yo! Careful man! Don't be a hero and nuke the place!" One gang member said. Meanwhile, Jandice looked at Hyde, who was obviously the biggest threat, and stuck her arm out of the shadow, conjuring around her hand the purple winds that pervaded the room, and swirled it into winds, before sending a pillar of the winds ceiling height and ten meters across, aiming directly at Hyde and for his clueless head. Her arm would resurface, and make their way towards the young man, citing him as the first victim.

...alright. Shun knows he said for Hyde to not hold back, but he didn't really consider his friend would just launch an atomic bomb inside the basement. To not blame the guy entirely, at least the spell he used was enough to illuminate the area, therefore allowing them to catch a glimpse of where Jandice is. After she basically turned into a black spot on the ground, it was hard to locate her precisely given the fading natural lighting. Nevermind the thugs yelling, or the place now completely ruined by some reckless move of Hyde, Shunnosuke focused his eyes with the best of his attention to Jandice, or what's left of her. Oddly, he had to thank the redhead for it.

— There she is! — It's their chance, and while normally Shunnosuke preferred to survey the situation and calculate the best results from that point on, he had to move quickly now before Jandice escaped her state of vulnerability. — Andromeda, now! — Order given, the floating mystical creature's eyes glared at her owner, hovering in the air and reaching the office. Her action was solely provide the teenager an extra hand in what he was about to do. Once Shunnosuke felt the surge of strength running through his soul, he run forward, swinging his chain weapon in circular, repeated movements, building up enough velocity in his weapon. "Let's not fail now", he thought, and once his position was fairly close to Jandice, meaning she was within the dangerous range of his weapon, Shunnosuke awkwardly and hastily knelt on one of his knees, lowering his height considerably and unleashed a rather risky blow on her arm. His goal was to make Twinkle Nebula, his soulbound weapon, wrap itself around Jandice's arm in an attempt to hold her there for as long as possible regardless how discomforting his current position is, and neutralizing her actual slippery form. If his strategy proved to be successful, he'd make use of Andromeda's boost to firmly grasp on his weapon for as much as his strength allowed him to. — Do something! NOW!! — He'd shout for the others, regardless of he failed to target Jandice or not.

For a moment, all Julian could do was stare at the decimated part of the basement. He knew he had to be on guard, but...could Jandice have possibly survived that?

Wait...no, there she was!

Noting the girl's location, Julian tried to run forwards, avoiding the debris from Hyde's attack as he came towards Jandice, staying to where he assumed her "back" was, seeing as she was focused on Hyde.

As Shunnosuke attempted to rope Jandice down, Jak would move behind the teen and steady him with one arm. Should the attack have landed, the persona would then grip the chain with his free hand, steadying it and providing extra assistance should Jandice start to thrash or attempt to get away. Assuing Shunnosuke's attack work, Julian would have had plenty of time to close the distance between him and Jandice. Summoning his soulbound to his hand, he'd drop to one knee and, after glancing up to see where Jandice's arm connected to, bring the knife down and attempt to pin Jandice's shadow to the ground. Jak's attacks might not have worked, but hopefully this would; after all, if Hyde's attack could hit, why couldn't one of his?

Lucifer retaliated as hyde Took a top speed run, the persona staying atleast 5 meters in front as hyde readied his soulbound weapon to face Jandice. Lucifer then created a orb like spearhead which coated around Hyde's body and feet as he boosted him forward about 20 meters ahead, the apparend orb like spearhead was 3 meters in width and 3 meters in length. The overpowering alnighty energy would of protected hyde from the wind attack, as well as basically boost him straight ahead towards Jandice as she attacked him in the same manner of a pedestrian and a moving car. Her hands would be tangled and exposed, and hyde would of used that attack to not only protect himself and jet forward, but to be able to pounce on jandice through the use of this technique. It would do damage of course, as well as all hyde the attempt to in her down with his soulbound weapon. "I got her!!! I think!!!

Shunnosuke's plan was a smart one, the only issue being that it was only an arm that was unveiled and even with the debuff, she was still faster than he was given his weak strength. She could easily pull her arm back under before he threw his ball and chain, while Hyde ran headlong towards her, putting Julian in the line of fire during the process, as they were both going to the same person, and Hyde was using a very wide-ranged AoE Almighty Attack. How could he not realize that it would also put Julian and Shunnosuke in danger? He indeed hit her but in exchange, his attack would create yet another nuke that burst in the line of Julian and Shunnosuke's fire, targeting both them and their Personas. Jandice couldn't do much really, no matter how fast she moved and would end up being engulfed in the holy light once more. After which, the entire place was ruined, and everything would be dust while the area would be imploded over, creating a massive hole above them from near the entrance to the basement that reached into the back of the club towards the beach, making tremors across the club and causing some kind of racket. and generating screams outside the door. Even the gang members were getting upset, as the destruction even affected the office, leaving them stuck between a ruined basement, and potential fighting with guards.

"You idiot! You're bringing the whole place down with you! Fucking stop you moron!" Jandice herself could not bother attacking now. Even she was overwhelmed, and she would slowly seep up from the Shadows, her hair and eyes back to their purple and black, on all fours and heaving. She lived, barely through the attack, though she would look up weakly at Julian and Shunnosuke to see their state from the attack. Rumbles were heard from the top of the club, signaling that damage had come from the atomic explosion below the basement. Perhaps they were lucky that it was the corner end of the club, but that didn't mean that they were still safe.

The area in the basement was beginning to crumble, and Jandice was crawling towards the open hole, however she was weak and beaten up from the fight. Not to mention she seemed to be back to normal, so she was now much weaker than before and back to what she was before. Were they to hurry, they just might make it out of the area in time, as they were all near the door. Of course, they would still have to be standing from Hyde's attack in order to flee. The gang members meanwhile began to feel no resistance, which probably meant that even the guards were gone, and once more, the mist began to vanish, so soon the Personas would also be gone. They had little purpose to help them in particular; they were just here for one mission. But they had no choice but to do something. They both ran into the basement and each picked Jandice up, before making a break towards the large hole that out to the beach outside, and hopefully to safety. "Hurry the hell up! We're gone if you don't get out!"

Hyde knew that he messed up, but this wasn't the time to beat himself up on it. He had to get Shun up sooner rather than later, Hyde knew that Shun would of been downed for a while due to the attack that he performed a minute ago. He was trying to weaken Jandice, but that turned out to be alot more of a cluster of problems that Hyde intended it to be, Afterwards, Hyde simply ran over to Shun to lift the boy up n his shoulder. Due to Shun being physically weak, one of the reasons could be left o the fact that Shun was kind of anorexic and didn't way that much at all. This made hyde's job easier as he took off running at top speed towards the hole that he created from within the room to head onto the beach. "Julian, they took her, we have to catch up!"

Afterwards Hyde would place Shun down once they were cleared from the crumpled and dangerous basement and smothered the balm of life into his mouth. The taste would vary, but it should of gotten Shun up with 100% of his energy . "Shun Get up, we have to get going.

The force of the attack sent Julian crashing to the ground, bit of debris pressing against his face. For a moment, he laid there, seeing stars and trying to think through the fog in his head. So heavy...the hell did Hyde...?

He felt the ground shake and heard the cracking of the structure around them. Looking up dazedly, he spied the large fissures running across the ceiling and walls, quickly growing wider and wider. This whole place was going to fucking collapse. Right now, the last thing he needed was to stick around; he expected that not even a minute later and this place would come tumbling down, and he sure as hell didn't want to get stuck in the aftermath.

// Guys...? // he managed to wonder through his blurry vision, glancing at his comrades. Hyde was up and about (of course he would be, that was his attack), Shun was down, and Jandice...Jandice? He saw her picking herself up, looking around at the damage, and mustered the energy to say, "Jandice, get out!"

Reaching into his pocket, he managed to clutch at a small, round object that reminded him vaguely of a gumball. Without much forethought he crushed it with what strength he had left. Instantly his strength, clarity, and every mental capacity came rushing back, and he instantly pushed himself from the ground, pausing just for a second in time to catch Hyde picking up Shun and calling out something. // Took her...? //

It was at this point that he heard the people Shunnosuke identified as "friends" call out to them, and he quickly placed two and two together. Immediately he took off at a sprint, dashing across the ruined floor and dodging any loose pieces that came his way. He didn't look back, although he probably should have in order to ensure that his comrades were okay. But his goal at the moment was getting outside and to Jandice.

Assuming he made it out in time, Julian would emerge on the beach, immediately scanning the area for the "friends" Shunnosuke had. Where did they go? While they might be Shun's "acquaintances", he wasn't sure he trusted them completely. Their help was appreciated, but this timing was a little too convenient for his tastes.

It all happened too fast for Shunnosuke to have time to exercise his reflexes. In one moment, he was trying to wrap Jandice and hold her for enough time. In the following moments, all his eyes could glimpse was a high, strong spherical light coming in their direction, too strong to blind the teenager's senses without even allowing any defense stance before the overwhelming energy hit them, throwing the teenager a few steps away, his last vision before feeling the hard touch of scattered, destroyed fragments on his face, before lights fade out and he became unconscious...

The next thing Shunnosuke would remember was the disgusting, bitter flavor of whatever in his mouth. He coughed a bit, slowly recovering his senses, the blurry vision identifying the night, starry sky. — ...huh? — Lazily sitting at the beach's sand, he muttered, weakly, memory coming back in fuzzy, hastened flashes. That's right, they were in the club in search for Jandice...there was a riot, some ruckus that enabled them to enter the owner's office, until she went out of control and attacked them. Some details, as the intense explosion inside the club that sounded like a terrorist attempt bombing the place, were left missing and unknown for now, much to Hyde's luck. What matters most is that they have successfully managed to reach her, as Shunnosuke intended to. — H-Hyde...? Where is Jandice...? What happened to the club? — His eyes glanced the surroundings, aiming to identify the environment he was in. It was definitely a beach, but a part of Penecia he didn't know of. No wonders, Shunnosuke never really walks around the beaches of Azores. Looking back and forth, he spotted what seemed to be Julian's outlines aiming to reach two guys carrying someone... Yes, he was definitely Julian. The others might be the thugs Zackary ordered to follow him around, ensuring his safety as well as his obedience. The third person, then, was... — What are you doing with her? — He'd shout, standing on his two feet, brain working functionally now. As much as Shun appreciated the help, even he wouldn't allow them to just take advantage of the situation and of Jandice as well.

Outside, they could already hear the many people fleeing and panicking as the back of the club began to topple over on itself, debris breaking off onto the beach or near the side of it. The club was sort of standing, but for all intents and purposes, it was ruined. Outside on the sand, the members were knelt down, keeping Jandice sitting up as she clearly looked weakened, and half awake at this point. One of the guys lightly tapped her cheek several times to shock her awake, which sort of worked; for though her eyes fluttered open, she still seemed a bit lethargic. She could easily see her club now ruined however; the grief on her face impossible to hide. "Yo girl, wake up. We're gonna have to go soon. You cool?" the guy said, before the other shook his head in annoyance. "Cmon, we just gotta help take her. Grab her arms." The other said. As they did it, they noticed Julian running towards the two, and the first man sighed a little. He didn't personally wanna see them dead so it was good to find that they were alive. "Thanks for the help, that's all you gotta do now so just get home, we'll take it from here." He said, helping her up, while Jandice looked at Julian, breathing heavily, and trying to inch further from them, though she obviously had no strength to resist with, and she knew that. "Hey, stop that you crazy bitch, we're trying to help you. We can take you to someone who can help you control that part of you." Jandice groaned in distress, and tried once more to pull away, only to be gripped by the two a bit tighter. Who knew what she could do again? She could always turn back and kill them like she nearly did the first time.
