| "So... What's this shadow of yours like...? Do you two get along at all? Or is it just silent?" She figured Sharaku's bond to the shadow was... similiar to Mae's bond to Qilin in a way. Maybe they got along better, or worse? If the Shadow within him was sentient to begin with after the whole process... These... Shadow Humans were still too new for her to fully grasp the concept. But oh well. At least she could learn about it now.
"I suppose so... I... I'll tell you eventually... Don't you worry about that." Mae smiled thinly at him. Once she got the courage to do so... When that would be, she didn't know, but Mae knew that in order for things to work between them, she needed to gradually open up to him more. Not that she already hadn't openend up to him a great deal already.
Mae giggled happily with a wide smile on her face as Sharaku carried her. "As long as you're okay with... I like this..." The girl felt special... He had literally swept her off her feet. Almost like in a fairytale... Wasn't it almost every girl's dream to be swept off their feet by a handsome guy at some point in their lives? Mae certainly had been dreaming about it from time to time... And now that wasn't just a dream anymore! Sharaku had made that dream a reality... "You know... I've been dreaming of a day like this for a long while now... For someone to come and sweep me off my feet and take me somewhere far away... Just the two of us." Mae blushed somewhat, looking off into the distance before returning her gaze to focus on Sharaku... He was the one for her. At that moment, she realised how much truth there was to her in that statement... Him, and no-one else...
"Well, yeah. I... Don't think I've met someone who doesn't get along with their persona... After all, it's a part of yourself..." But she could see something like that happening... Just not that commonly. But oh well... "Yeah... And I don't want to cause such pain... Supernatural or not, fire isn't something I want to use to hurt someone with..." Perhaps that was even worse than actually ashing them... Causing more suffering and pain before death was perhaps even more grim than just burning to death naturally... At least you died somewhat quickly with that... "Wow... You can do that?" Mae looked at the small butterfly, awestruck for a moment. Spawning butterflies like that was actually... pretty interesting compared to just straight up Pyromancy... But hey, she wasn't exactly complaining about it, now was she?
Mae and Sharaku sat down in the cart next to eachother when their turn came around... With a slight rumble, the ride sprung to life, and started slowly moving up the slope, giving the two a pretty good view of the park. Said view only lasted briefly, however, as they dropped down mere seconds after reaching the top. Mae took Sharaku's hand as she felt the wind rushing by her face, making her hair whip all over the place. The ride eventually came to a smooth stop. "Whoo! That was fun, right?" She smiled widely at Sharaku, stepping out of the car after Sharaku. "So, where next? I guess it's your choice now, huh? Unless you want to go do something else before tackling another ride?"

| His Shadow. Right. In all honesty, at times he did wish they got along better. But it wasn't the worst either. In a way, it was sort of better than it used to be. ''He tends to be rather arrogant. We argue more than anything else, but it's not too bad.'' He was generally fine with that. He would probably not want a sappy Shadow or anything like that, so this actually worked decently well. ''Actually...maybe...'' He would attempt to sort of poke at the tattoo on his arm. It was true that said Shadow didn't tend to speak aloud outside of the other worlds, but he could if he wanted to. Unlike a Persona, he was technically always out and about in his own way, so it wouldn't be a problem of being unable to summon the being to have it talk. He was simply too stubborn for his own good. ''...hey, stop that. I don't want holes in me.'' Well, that actually worked. Sort of. Even though it wasn't exactly what he aimed for. Eh.
''I don't have a reason to worry as of yet.'' He didn't think he had. It wasn't as if he could exactly be really worried about it this soon. He wasn't the one to normally tell things early either, so at this point, it wouldn't be nice of him to demand anything too deep. Not that he had any idea what she meant by that. As in, what was it that she wasn't telling him yet. But, if she thought it could wait, then perhaps it wasn't anything very serious. He wasn't very good at making accurate guesses in this area.
Hmm, yes, he was okay with it. For a while. He still wasn't superman, so he would have to put her down eventually. Unless he wanted sore muscles and that was no fun. Although, cheers for a free workout? Maybe. He would laugh a bit at the next part. ''Well, I'll have to potentially excuse myself, as we aren't exactly going far away. And I can only carry this kind of weight for a limited time, no matter how strong I am.'', he would state, though in a mostly joking tone, before looking off into the distance absentmindedly. He seemed to be thinking about something. ''......''
It did make sense. ''I suppose so. It would be a strange concept. But I can't say I understand Personas that much.'' It was all from what he had been told. Afterall, he did not have one. Was it possible to be at odds with your own Persona? It did seem unlikely, but what did he know? He would tilt his head a bit. ''What is worse, burning someone to ash or freezing them to death?'', he would huff afterwards though. ''I guess neither would actually be good....'' Potentially. Unless you enjoyed making people suffer in various ways. He would nod slightly, waving the butterfly off, making it dissapear. ''One of the things, yes. But the rest is in the same category as your fire skills. And I don't think we want this park to become an ice ring.'' He could possibly do that if he tried hard...but it would be rather pointless.
For the most of the ride, he would just sit still, staring ahead of him. It wasn't really all that different from the previous try. Then again, the rollercoasters generally varied only in things such as how crooked the trajectory was. And maybe speed. Regardless, he would let her hold on him closing his eyes meanwhile. The wind blowing his his face tended to irk him a little. Hopefully, his hair would stay decently in place. It was not funny to put his hair in a workable ponytail at the kind of length it was. ''I guess so...'', he would mutter. He just wasn't that enthused over these types of rides, even while he didn't dislike them.
Well, now what...perhaps a break was due for now. He did have something to do afterall. ''Perhaps we could get something to eat or such? If you want to, that is.'' Not exactly a part of his aim, but it could help in a way.

| Mae giggled lightly at the Shadow's reaction. "Well, at least you don't hate eachother, so that's a plus, no?" It would be rather difficult to work with someone stuck to you 24/7 if you couldn't get along at all... That would just be... bad in many ways. "I guess my Persona isn't as easy to have others communicate with... as she's stuck in my head outside of the other worlds..." Would that have helped her any in the long run? Maybe... But hearing her voice on her own worked well enough. It gave her some confidence.
Was it a reason to worry...? Not really. "Hehe, it's nothing serious." Mae smiled at him widely. After what he had told her during her first night at his house... How could she even trump that? It wasn't like she held any deep, dark secrets within like that... Just... normal worries... Or at least, she hoped they were normal.
"Hehe... Well, the last part is still relevant, no?" She smiled sheepishly at him. The two of them alone like that was both an exciting as well as a sort of... scary thought. Not that Sharaku was scary in any way. Just... what that entailed... Was she ready for something like that? A real relationship that could last for her entire life? Mae wasn't sure on that point... But the girl would find out eventually, no? "Umm... Sharaku? Something wrong?" Mae looked at him worriedly as he gazed off into space. It wasn't exactly like him to just... lose himself in his own thoughts like that... It was more Mae's thing.
"Well, I have one... But I understand very little about them anyway... Mysterious things... these personas." They certainly held a lot of secrets within them. Having one certainly didn't make one any wiser... "Wait... you can do that?" Mae looked at him with a raised eyebrow. The entire park? In the middle of the summer? Did this man's power know no bounds? "Yeah... I doubt that would be a good idea..." She looked around the park. To think that he could freeze all this... Was it even possible? Maybe... Not that she wanted him to prove it. She didn't need to see it either. After what she had seen... Anything was within the realm of possibility when it came to these supernatural abilities...
"So, what kind of rides do you like then?" Mae asked curiously as the two walked back outside. Had he brought her here... just for her own enjoyment? That didn't seem... very fair. She wanted him to have fun with her... Not having him watch her have fun. A date like this was about sharing an experience together, after all. She would puff out her cheeks somewhat. "We should both have fun... I don't want to exclude you out of that..."
"Sure! I'm actually quite hungry. What did you have in mind?" Anything would do for Mae really. As long as it didn't involve tomatoes... Yuck.

| ''I figure it is, yes.'' It would not be any fun if the two of them outright hated each other. That was one of the brighter sides. He could see something akin to that a possibility, and the person would most likely have it pretty bad. Afterall, it's not like he could get away from his Shadow for real, and he supposed others like him couldn't either. Assuming it worked in a similar fashion for all of them. Well, in some instances it would be possible to throw the Shadow away, but that sounded like a bad idea. That aside, he personally couldn't anymore, not the way it was now. ''Still better than nothing. I know of people that have Personas which do not speak at all, regardless of their setting.'' Like Naomi's. And he had a feeling Rita's new bird didn't either.
''Alright then, I'll take that.'' If it wasn't serious, then it wasn't. He could let it be for now. He wasn't the type to pry unnecessarily. It's not like she seemed visibly upset or anything, so it was most likely fine to let whatever the matter is fly until she decided to bring it up. Or until it was actually relevant in any way or form.
He would smile thinly. ''Technically. If you imagine everyone else around disappear.'' They weren't really alone, were they? Other people were always close by. Right now, at least. And it was only more crowded at the park itself. He would keep staring off for a while longer, only snapping to focus a bit belatedly, a few moments after she spoke to him.''H...m? I..just.....'' He would stare at her a bit awkwardly for a moment. ''It's nothing important.'' Well...not now, at least. He wasn't really sure as of yet anyway. Which meant it wasn't too likely he would say much. That wasn't his style.
''Everything supernatural is most likely a mystery in its own way...'' Not just the Personas. Not even he knew everything about Shadows despite having been bound to one for years by now. There was always something one didn't understand. ''Well, it would take some time and energy, but I believe I could do that, yes.'' The park was big indeed. But it would only be a matter of some time if he wanted to freeze it all. That kind of Ice wouldn't melt easily, so he doubted normal sunlight would hinder him much. ''And it most likely would not. Just as it is a bad idea to burn it.'' People would obviously see that, and chaos would ensue.
''I suppose I just don't get much of a rush from something like that. It's fine however. What matters is that we're here together, not the ride we're on, no?'' In a way. He wasn't the biggest fan of most stuff that you could find at you usual amusement park. But that didn't really matter to him too much. Besides, a ride by itself probably wouldn't make him happy regardless. It was just a way to pass time. ''I'm..not really very hungry personally. I just thought it was an idea since I dragged you out without a warning beforhand.'' He had no idea if she actually ate earlier or not. ''Hmm...how about you look around for something? I'm fine with most types of food. I wanted to go do something, so you could pick out some food and I'll be back in a moment.'' Win-win? At least she would have something to be busy with while he was off for a second there. ''I'm pretty sure I'd be able to find you with your hair color.'', he would smirk a bit. He wasn't planning to go too far away, or for too long regardless. As long as she didn't go look for food literally on the other side of the park. That could turn confusing. Either way, he would wait for her reaction before potentially walking off if she was okay with it.

| "And there's always room for improvement... Who knows, maybe you can actually get along like friends one day?" Mae chuckled happily. Would it happen? Possibly, if both of them put their minds to it, and gave it the proper time it needed... "Well, that too... I guess I'm fortunate to be able to communicate with her whenever I want... I don't really do it often on my own though." When they were alone though, they could talk about a variety of things, if only to pass time... But sometimes the subjects were rather serious...
"Hehe... Or when we come back home... Then I have you for myself. Teehee~" Mae giggled nervously... When she put it like that... it sounded a bit different than she had intended it to... Oh well, as long as he didn't get the wrong idea, it should be fine... Right? Right. Sharaku seemed to be... hiding something from her... But what did she know? And if it had anything to do with what was coming up, she was probably better off not knowing until then. Suprises~
"I suppose so... I guess you don't know much more about shadows than I do, huh?" It was just a hunch though... But from her understanding... Shadows were intimately connected to Personas somehow... Like how she had gotten Qilin after Julian had defeated Mae's shadow self... "I wonder how much it would take to freeze the entire park in one go?" Probably a lot... like, more than she could ever dream of... Mae could shoot fireballs the size of baseballs, but that took a pretty big amount of concentration to pull off... But at least it was something? Even if one could freeze over the enitre park... When would you actually use that in an actual combat scenario? Sure, you could cause some pretty big headlines and make yourself an enemy of the state (which for all tends and purposes is a really bad idea). Okay, this is getting morbid, moving on.
"Of course~!" Mae said in a chipper tone. "That's what is important in the end... That we're here together... As a couple..." Could she consider this being a romantic relationship at this point? She probably could... But the question was if Sharaku saw things the way Mae did... "Ehehe... I sort of skipped breakfast..." Mae scratched the back of her head with a sheepish look... she could feel her tummy protesting from the lack of food... Yeah, eating was probably a good idea. "S-Sure..." Mae looked somewhat saddened to need to leave him temporarily, but that's all it was... Temporarily. She tried to smile at least... Not that it worked very well... Agh, she really wasn't good at forcing smiles... At all... "I'll find something, don't you worry!" Well... What did she want? After Sharaku had left, Mae scanned the area for potential places to eat... Eventually she found a resturant specializing in spanish food... Tapas in paticular. Mae had always wanted to try something like this... Might as well start now. She sat down next to the resturant on a bench, waiting for Sharaku to return... Hopefully he wouldn't take too long...

| ''Maybe...although I don't think it would ever be perfect. Our personalities clash a lot.'' They did indeed, but it was probably as best as it could now. They didn't hate each other. It was just some bickering here and there, which was not terrible. He had worse verbal scruffles with real people, in all honesty. Therefore, it was just fine for his tastes. ''Well, it is a personal choice. But at least you have the option, if nothing else. Better than wanting to talk, and not being able to.'', he would smile thinly.
He would chuckle in amusement. ''That you would, yes. Anything specific in mind?'', he would smirk. He was aware that she meant it in general, but it wouldn't be him to pick at the possible double meaning when it was apparent enough. It was amusing to see the reaction. That, and she did bring it upon herself, kind of. Although, it was just that. A bit of teasing. He wouldn't do anything just because.
He would hum. ''Perhaps I do know a little bit more, but nothing that is extremely important. But no, having one does not make me an expert on them.'' Most of what he knew was just based on logic, and perhaps partially intuition due to how he was. But that was as far as it went. He did not really dig into the matter on purpose. ''Quite a bit, I'd say. But doing it in one go doesn't have to be the only way.'' It would just take longer, but still get done in the end. He would smile slightly. ''Yes, exactly.'' The rides didn't really matter as much. It was just a means to get things done. And she seemed to like them too, so a plus.
''I guessed right then.'', he would smirk lightly. Food it was then. He wasn't hungry, but it would do. It wasn't as if eating wasn't enjoyable at times just because. As much as he did not eat a lot in general. And with that, it was time to be off...kinda...
--Random Time Skip-- ...sometimes he really questioned why he did some of the things he did. But it's kind of too late for that now. Hopefully, this would at least...go fine. It wasn't as if he has ever done this before. Not like this. But first time for everything, yes..? Not that it made him feel much better. Lovely. When did he start feeling nervous about things? Perhaps when he started doing weird stuff. Ahem. Regardless.
At least, he had been right about one thing. She was hard to miss with her hair. He would walk up to her eventually, with a somewhat sheepish smile. ''Found something good...?'', he'd ask, trying to sound casual, although it was probably obvious that something was off. Not particularly in a bad way, however. But it was definitely blatanly obvious, considering he usually did not act his way. He did seem kind of anxious, staring at her a bit sheepishly, his hands behind his back.

| " Hehe, you never know. Who knows what you two are like in ten years from now?" That certainly was a possibility... If something doesn't work out now, doesn't mean it won't later... Maybe Sharaku's experience with the shadow was different. Not that this was any of her buissness anyway. As long as his Shadow didn't lash out at her, that is... " Yeah, options are always nice." Qilin snickered happily inside Mae's head. She enjoyed this... Seeing Mae like this. To be fair, the girl had gone through some rough times as of late. It was probably good for Qilin to see that Mae was finally back on her feet again. "I..." Mae was speechless... She hadn't actually expected him to ask that... " I... Dunno... Maybe just... Cuddle?" She would then hide her face in her hands... Did she really just say that out loud? But well... It was up to him really. She wouldn't mind it herself, but... Whatever. That was a topic for later. Yes. " Geez..." Mae eventually peeked out, cheeks still blooming. " I dunno what just flew over me..." Excuses. She wanted it, but Mae didn't actually want to admit it... Hopefully he didn't take this the wrong way... " Well, what's the world without a little mystery, eh?" Boring, that's what it would be. If everyone knew everything, what was there left to accomplish? Nothing, really... No one stood out. Everyone was just the... same. And that would not be a world Mae wanted to live in, period. " Well, of course. But hey, it's not like you're actually gonna do it, right?" She asked, sort of jokingly. She knew very well Sharaku wouldn't do something like that on purpose... " Hehe. I see you in a bit then." Mae smiled at him gently before starting to look around for a place to eat. It was a bit difficult to get around, considering how crowded the place was by now, but eventually she found a good place to eat... ~ Time Flies, doesn't it? Time skiiiiip ~ Ah, the smell of delicious food was overwhelming... Especially for a girl who hadn't eaten breakfast yet, and it was already noon! Mae's stomach growled loudly for something to devour... Where was Sharaku at? Just as Mae was about to pick up her phone to call him, she saw him approaching her in the distance. That grey skin was kind of difficult to miss... " I hope you don't mind Spanish food..." Mae started slowly... then she noticed how oddly Sharaku behaved. He was... actually looking really nervous. " Ehm... Sharaku? Is there something wrong?" | |

| ''Ten...years? That's a lot of time. I'd be past 30 by then....'' It wasn't easy to think so far ahead into the future. There wasn't even a guarantee yet that all of them would survive this current ordeal being thrown at them. It was just hopeful thinking as it was. On top of it, 10 years were really hard to predict. He was very different from what he used to be for example 10 years in the past. He could easily change again as time kept progressing. ''They are, yes.'' Although, there was always an option, even if a not so great one. You could possibly attempt to communicate a bit more with a Persona that did not speak. Non-verbal communication existed too.
Ahm? Well, that was a bit unexpected. He did not think she would answer him with anything specific. Afterall, he had been moreso just aiming to tease her. ''Cuddle...'', he would echo slightly in a thoughtful tone. He...hadn't really given it actual consideration before. Not blatantly like this. Nor had he ever done that before. The closest were the few rare hugs and the like, but it was never real cuddling. Definitely not with the purpose in mind. ''Maybe...I've never really tried that before.'', he would answer eventually, his tone fairly laidback. It couldn't be that bad if done right, yes?
''Some mystery can be useful I guess...'' As long as the mystery wasn't causing some big impediment on things. That could be bad. When you really need to know something but can't for whatever reason. But outside of that..it was alright here and there, he wouldn't deny that. Afterall, he tended to be mysterious at times himself. ''Hmm? No. I don't have any plausible reason to.'' Why would he want to freeze this place? Even if he could without drawing the unwanted attention to himself...there was simply no point. If he wanted some ice, he could just as well buy a real popsicle.
--Lalala--
He would blink a bit as she answered him. ''Spanish...that is fine, I suppose. Maybe I can eat it in Spanish too.'' Eh, that would be too much of a hassle now, wouldn't it? It did serve as a good momentary distraction, however. He would blank out a bit. ''No....'' It wasn't that...anything was actually wrong. He was just...really not used to doing things like this. He would shake his head to clear his thoughts. ''I just...wanted to..thank you for what you've done back then amongst other things...'', he would smile sheepishly. ''So...here, for you.'' He would hand her something.- Le surprise ~:
It's a plushie kirin, k. Also, it's not very big. Around the size to fit in one's arms without taking up too much space. Enjoy ~

| " Yeah. It is an awful lot of time... Assuming we survive this ordeal first." Mae shrugged lightly. " It's plenty of time to change. Who knows, maybe you two actually get along with eachother then?" It was possible. Just not very likely... But as long as there was a chance, anything could happen. " I'm just... not Sure about this whole angel deal... Are we... really the right people to decide how humanity should be? I've been thinking about it, and it seems a bit odd how they choose us to make this decision... It's a big burden, really... The entire future of the human race is in our hands. As if dealing with the Primordials wasn't enough..." What should she do? Mae still hadn't found the resolve necessary to make this big decision... Could anyone really? " Oh... Well..." Mae fidgeted in place with a sheepish smile. " That makes it two of us, then..." He didn't seem to be against it... Well. As to how she would go about things... Mae didn't know. That could potentially turn things awkward really fast... but on the other end, it might turn out to be a really pleasant experience for them both... There really was no way of telling before they actually tried it... " Hehe, you make use of it quite frequently." Mae giggled cheerfully, poking at him. " Well, that's good to hear..." The girl looked at Sharaku with a wide smile... " So... Assuming we survive the whole ordeal... Do you have any plans after this is all over? I have my studies of course... But after that... I guess I'll just start working. Hopefully we're still together then..." Mae said with a thin smile. Considering how both of her previous relationships had gone... No. Better not think about it like that! They were going to be together even after all of this! ~ " Eh?" Mae raised an eyebrow at the sudden use of what sounded... like Spanish... It definetely was a foreign language, that much was obvious. " Hehe, I guess it is spanish then." European cuisine had always been something Mae was interested in... Spanish food was no exception. TAPAS! HERE THEY COME! " You Sure?" Mae wanted to say, but before she could open her mouth, Sharaku had started talking again. " Oh, Sharaku. There's no need to thank me for that!" But she didn't stop him from doing so anyway. " For me?" Mae held out her hands... Sharaku handed her a small, cute plushy. Mae looked between it and Sharaku, before she finally opened her mouth to say something. " Daaaaw... It's adorable, Sharaku!" And before Sharaku had any time to react, Mae hugged him tightly. " Thank you SOOO much~♥" She would then stand up on her toes to kiss him on the cheek. He actually got her a gift... That was so sweet of him! | |

| ''Well, I don't intend to die early.'' That would be a rather bad ending to things right now. Afterall, he did change a lot already, considering how there used to be a time where he would actually take death without much of a complaint. But that seemed like quite the waste nowadays. ''Maybe, maybe not. But I am not really worried. To be frank I often get in worse arguments with people than that, so it's not like I can complain too much.'' With that in mind, the Shadow was actually the lesser evil. He would look into the distance. ''Well, we are a part of humanity ourselves. And there are actually a lot of people that possess powers by now. Although, I do agree that it is somewhat unfair that some get excluded from having the chance to choose. Regardless, I personally don't really support what the Angels are doing. They may have possibly good intentions at base, but I think they are executing them in a rather unpleasant way.'' For now, his aim was to understand their view in more depth at least. He was pretty sure he wouldn't change his mind about what he thought, but he wouldn't disregard them either. There had to be a way to solve this without too much pain caused on all fronts.
''Hmm. I sort of figured...but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing. There will probably be things where we won't be on equal standing too....'' At least, he assumed so from the way she talked and all. Not that it specifically affected anything right now. It was just a thought. ''Perhaps I do, yes.'' The more playful part of him, at least. So yes regardless. ''Hm? Not really...I think. I'm not that big on planning so far ahead unless it's about pressing matters. There's still time to decide. Looking too far ahead just makes you melancholic when you realize how many things can always go wrong. At times it's best not to.'' It didn't hold that much merit either way. The situation could shift over time, and you'd find yourself adjusting your plans several times on the road.
~~~ He would smile sheepishly. ''Don't mind me. I'm just making use of my broken Spanish.'' Well, the given sentence had not been too hard, but his Spanish was only really good when it came to accent and pronounciation. Correct use of grammar and words...not always so much. It wasn't as if he had ever actually taken the time to study it. ''But as I said, Spanish works fine.'' He had tried some sort of Spanish food long ago. Afterall, Spain was not too far from Portugal and all. And the food wasn't as different as let's say between African countries and Russia or something.
Eh well no, guess there wasn't. ''I wanted to regardless....'' That much he could do at least. She tended to thank him a lot herself, so it wouldn't be entirely right to not say anything, even if he didn't go as far as this. ''Yes...'' It still felt awkward, but oh well. He would just stand there silently until she kind of jumped him. ''?!'' Was he dead yet..? But no, seriously, he kind of didn't expect that. ''Ahm...just don't...suffocate me..'' Okay, he didn't really mean that too seriously. ''You're welcome...'', he would mutter sheepishly, still kind of just...standing there. He didn't exactly plan as to what would he do after that....
| " Likewise... I still have a lot to live for." And Mae wasn't going to just let it all vanish... She had a number of friends and loved ones that she now fought to save. And fight she did... As much as she could anyway. " I guess so... As long as it doesn't get any worse, it should be fine, no?" That would be worrisome, if they actually got along worse as Sharaku grew older... " Well, what could they have done differently...? I know their way of doing things isn't very pleasant... but is there really another way for them to go about this?" If everyone got to choose, it would be fair... but at the same time, there would probably not be any progress done either, as humanity would essentially become indecisive due to everyone wanting a different wish... Perhaps letting a few people decide was the most effective way to go about things, but... not necessarily the morally correct choice either. Politics is a tricky beast... " Well, obviously. Maybe you have more experience than I do when it comes to other things, and vice versa. N-Not that I have much experience at all when it comes to relationships... Ehehe..." Considering how both of her prior ones had crashed and burned pretty quickly, Mae never really had a chance to get accustomed to it all... " I suppose you're right... One step at a time. No use in worrying about a future that might not even come to pass..." ~ " I didn't exactly understand anything you said either, so... Is that really a problem that you don't speak it fluently? I probably wouldn't be able to tell anyway." Mae chuckled happily, poking at Sharaku. " This is going to be pretty interesting for me. I've never tried anything Spanish before..." It did smell quite nicely from inside the resturant... If that was anything to go by. " So... That's why you've been a bit... off today? I've noticed you staring out into space quite a number of times already..." Maybe he had been thinking of some way to express his gratitude or something... Well, if it was indeed that, it sure worked. " Hehe. I'm so happy you got me something! I honestly didn't expect it at all... First you're taking me out on a date... and then this." Then Mae's stomach complained loudly over the lack of food. " Ehehe... I guess we should go eat, huh?" She said sheepishly, with that happy smile on her face. Things were really going well! And to think that she had planned to spend almost the entire day cleaning Sharaku's appartment to suprise him once he got home, and it ended up with this. No complaints there. Why would Mae need to complain when she was this happy? | |
| ''I don't think worse is that much of an option. It wouldn't benefit either of us. He can't do much without me, so strife is not really worth it.'' It would only drag both of them down. Regardless of being a Shadow, he wouldn't be able to do much on his own at the current state. There was a reason why it wasn't very possible to go back on this, so they would be stuck together all the time, for when separated, they would just both be useless. Hmm. ''Question is, why are they doing this to begin with? Who said we need them to change ourselves? Maybe it's the fact that they just went ahead and forced us to roll with this. They aren't really asking whether we actually want any of it for real. This whole Event is bringing people pain and suffering, one way or another. Neither of which we asked for. Is that the right way to do things, no matter what it is that one is trying to do?'' If he had to choose between a Wish after all this fighting and stress where you were just being lead around in loops, and simply not getting anything. He would lean towards the latter. It didn't seem as worth it as it should be. For several reasons.
He would smile thinly. ''I suppose we are the same then. Partially at least. I should probably say that I don't have much experience with romantic based relationships specifically, rather than in general.'' He never truly dated anyone, nor had romance in mind much. But that is only one part of things that are done in a relationship, technically. If it's even to be called a relationship though...eh. ''There's enough worry about the present already, yes....'' No need to add future into the mix unless totally necessary.
~~~
''You might not, but someone else could. Perhaps I just don't like being lackluster.'', he would shrug faintly. In a way, there was no reason for it. He just liked being accurate with things like that. ''Hmmm? You could learn how to cook stuff like this. It's not too hard.'' At least, he didn't think so. Then again, he was a bit more used to food of that kind that she was, most likely. As she had only lived in Japan before this.
...no. Well, maybe except for one short moment. Assuming she meant the obvious space outs...they were for a different reason. Not one he was in the mind to bring up now. He didn't even have a clear answer anyway, so it was best to wait with the subject a bit. Unless she somehow brought it up for some reason. He wouldn't aim to avoid it in that case. ''It wasn't really because of that...I was just thinking over some things...'' That was the truth, pretty much. He would huff a bit though. ''Would you think it's something I wouldn't do?'' He doubted she meant it that way, actually, but he was curious regardless. ''Eat, yes. We need to order first, however.'', he would remark jokingly. The food wouldn't just appear.

| " I suppose you're stuck together then, regardless of what happens, eh?" Whether they liked it or not, it seemed that the two needed eachother to even survive against the shadows or anything of the sort... " Yeah, I've been thinking about that too... There's got to be a motive behind this aside from stopping the Primordials... Because as far as I understand it, the Event would've taken place here regardless if Thesis and Ananke hadn't shown up..." So what was their motive behind this? What could the angels themselves possibly have to gain from this? There had to be something... " Ugh, I hate that they're beating around the bush so much. I couldn't get a straight answer out of Angel when I met her... Perhaps that's just her though... I wouldn't know, since I haven't met any other angels beside her..." If she even would be able to at this point... Who knows how little time they actually had left. " Ehehe... That's good to know I'm not the only one here that's lacking in experience then." That would be a bit awkward. As long as he didn't have super high expectations of her, then things should be fine... Hopefully. " Yeah... We don't have much time left... I'm going to enjoy what little time we have left in case we can't stop the world from ending..." If there was anyone she would like to spend her last moments with on Earth, it would be Sharaku... No contest. --- " Hehe, I suppose so. But I'm not complaining. You did at least give it a try." Mae smiled warmly at him. No one could blame him for trying at least. " I guess I could give it a try one day... I'm still not that good at it." She laughed somewhat awkwardly, thinking back at her last dish. It was okay, but nothing spectacular by any means... She needed to get better at that. " Hm? Alright." Mae nodded. She wasn't going to pry about it now. If he wanted to speak up about it later, then that was fine, but she wasn't going to force him to do so. " I-I didn't mean it like that!" Mae said, somewhat panicked. " I'm just really happy you went out of your way to do this..." Sharaku was really something else... " Hrm... What to order?" Mae said thoughtfully, looking at the menu. She eventually decided on trying out some tapas, picking sausages, fries, and other kinds of food. It was supposed to be eaten in bits after all. Not together, like any other food. In a sense, it was like sushi... | |

| ''I believe so. And even if it was possible for us to part ways...well, I could live it, I think, but a Shadow in this form would be completely useless.'' Maybe some would be able to go on, depending on the way they turned out after the experiments. But his...wasn't really in the state to live separately. Unless something could be done about that. He himself would be powerless unless he by some chance got a Persona like the others. Not that he even thought it was worth it trying to pull them apart by now. He would frown. ''I am not sure. Back then, it was said that one of the reasons was that they needed our help to end the Primordials forever. As Angels had fought them in the past..but alone, they could only disable them for a certain period of time. I see the Event more as something that comes along. Although, I am not sure of their exact reasons for it.'' It could be them trying to give them a reward for helping against the Primordials. Along with the fact that they didn't like humanity for what it had become and wanted to change it. But it was up in the air still. Until they bothered to spill more information.
Hm. ''It's...that they don't seem to want to tell us too much in one go. It is meant to be a challenge, so they give info in parts, for every progress you achieve. I've been told a good deal of things by Angel up until now. And I've met one other Angel personally. He told us some things, but only up to a certain point. After that, he claimed that we need to find another Angel if we want to know more. He cannot tell us everything, otherwise it would look like he favors us in the competition. They have strange rules. As for other Angels..I don't know. I know the names of several, but that's about it.'' It was almost unnecessarily complicated. He disliked the beating around the bush too. They obviously had little time left, but the Angels ignored that fact. Were they fine with the possibility of everything going to hell?
''Would it feel different if I didn't?'' Techincally he did not have to lack experience. He was older than her, so if he had led a different life, he could have known more about this. Of course, he knew certain parts well enough, but when it came exactly to this, he was generaly the same as her. He would smile sadly. ''Yes, we indeed have little time left. I can't deny that.'' As long as Simon's words could be trusted, they really were on a time limit here.
~~~
He would shrug a bit. ''I guess. It's not like I ever studied Spanish, so I can't expect myself to be excellent.'' That, and he had no real need to be able to speak it great. Although, it would be interesting to speak 4 languages fluently. That was a skill which didn't sound bad to have. He would smile a little. ''I could perhaps help you with that. I did live close enough to Spain before, so I know what food similar to these is like.'' In general, at least. In the end, it all depended on how much you tried. You can dig up a recipe for almost anything. It was just easier if you knew how is it supposed to look and approximately taste like, so you don't make some gibberish without realizing it.
He would crack an amused smile, despite still feeling a bit awkward. ''I know you didn't. I just wanted to know what you thought...'' Well, he did get an answer. ''It wasn't really a problem...'' Technically, he did go out of his way in the meaning..that he normally did not take such an approach to things. But otherwise, it was not a big deal. He would stare at the menu a bit blankly. He almost forgot that this food was generally a bit...Hmm. The fact that he wasn't really hungry didn't help. He would set it down eventually. ''Eh...I think I'll pass for now. I'm not that hungry. Maybe I'll just get something small later. I probably wouldn't finish if I ordered something here....or I can just get something to drink...'' Maybe they had some teas or whatever...
| " Yeah... It's not a shadow like the others now, is it?" Unless it could revert back to it's original state... But if that was possible, then why hadn't his Shadow done so already? And from what Sharaku had told her, this shadow didn't seem like the type to stick around unless it was ABSOLUTELY necessary for it's own survival. " Ah... I suppose that would make sense... But what do we have that the Angels don't? Personas?" That was a valid question... What quality was it about the human race which made them able to succeed where the angels had failed? What if that wasn't true either? " Well... I wonder if their trust is misplaced with us... We're not much wiser than the Angels themselves... Do we even know where Thesis and the other Primordial are at the moment?" Well... She was planning on taking out Thesis at some point, if she was indeed the one behind the corruptions... After what happened on Malstu... this was now personal. " I... dunno. I think I would've been way more nervous..." Not saying that she wasn't nervous now... But if it had been the case, she would probably be a real nervous wreck trying to not do something wrong... " I just hope we can end this before another area is corrupted... That would be bad..." She really didn't want Penecia or San Malarus to be the next area to be corrupted... Not that... she wanted any place to end up like Malstu or the School if she could prevent it. --- " Really? Oh, thanks! I'd apprechiate that." Mae smiled widely at him. Having Sharaku's help with that sounded pretty good. At least she didn't have to try cooking something new on her own. Maybe one day, she would be able to suprise Sharaku with dinner when he returned home... That would be amazing. " Okay... Well, as I said earlier... I really like it." She could hear Qilin snicker gleefully inside her head. // What's so funny? // - Oh, nothing really. I'm just happy that you two are getting along so well, that's all. - Pshyeah, right... Qilin was most likely just teasing Mae a bit. Maybe Sharaku was rubbing off on her? " Ah, Alright. I understand." The waiter walked by eventually, asking the two for their orders. Mae pointed on the pieces of food she wanted, and asked for a cola as well. Why not? After that, the waiter scuttled off towards the kitchen, leaving Mae and Sharaku alone at the table again. " So... What do you think so far? About us, I mean." Mae honestly thought this could actually work really well. Sharaku had started this off really strong. And her memories of this park were generally pretty pleasant. Could he have picked a better place for this? Maybe... but she didn't dwell on it too much. Mae was happy enough with things as they were right now... | |
