Why do you play?

Takeru was once again at the empty concert hall to practice his piano skills... but this time, he knew who would be coming.
Earlier that day, he had managed to text Trinity if they wanted to meet at Suzie Q again to talk. He told her to meet him at concert hall 9, where he was.
As he waited for her to respond (either way, he would practice something there) he decided to play a song.
"Let's see here... how about... Vivaldi's 4 seasons... spring!" He said as he began to play, notes as crisp and clear as a spring breeze.
He did not stop until he had finished playing.

Trinity had gotten an odd Text that seemed to have letters replaced with some numbers every now and again, it had taken her quite some time to figure out what it had even said, and she almost deleted it until she remembered the person the name had belonged to, and she spent the time needed to figure out the strange number letter combinations. Eventually though she simply looked up on line to see what this was and found out it was called leet speak and she figured out how to translate it. That done she was finally able to read it and so she decided it would be okay to go see him.

After her brief trip on the train to get down to Suzie Q Trinity made her way to the concert hall that was mentioned on the text, and as she walked in she looked up at the stage, apparently having missed Takeru playing something. Walking over and up the steps to the stage she looked at him, her footsteps silent "you sent us that odd message to come here?" she asked in her monotone.

"Odd...? Oh. That. Sorry. I really did want to talk to you. Didn't realize you might not have understood it." He said sheepishly with a nervous chuckle as he scratched his head.
"But first... do you want to hear me play something on the piano? I'm quite good, you know." He asked her.

Trinity looked at the boy, he seemed to want to talk, but in such a secluded place, and while he played the piano? This did reflect some situations she had read about, but given their level of familiarity she highly doubted that he had called her here for that. Tilting her head to the side a bit as she looked at the boy she had to wonder why he wanted to talk, but then made the place so secluded, and on top of that seemed to be trying to show that once again he could play the piano, Granted his first attempt to show it was not very convincing considering he was doing it with a rhythm game and not a real piano. though this time he seemed prepared.

Maybe he was trying to prove he could play the piano to her since she as an idol? Or maybe the act she did on the karaoke stage had rattled him more then he was letting on? She believed the description some in the crowd used was she had destroyed his performance? Though she never understood that, his performance had happened and her performing afterwords didn't change that. Finally she tilted her head once more this time the other direction as her unblinking gaze fixed on the boy, her expressionless face not changing as she answered in her monotone voice "We suppose if you want to play we cannot stop you, Though We wonder what you wanted to talk to Us about?"

"Alright. What I wanted to ask you was.... well... why do you sing?" He said. "I'm sure someone like you can do other things well... but... why did you choose to do what you do?" He elaborated.
"Oh well. You don't have to answer now. Just relax, and listen to my song. Afterwards.... you can tell me why." He said, as he began to play Also Sprach Zarathustra by Strauss on the piano, with all due grace and magnificance. He did not cease until he had finished, nailing it with all due perfection and emotion.
Pure Magnificance.

The question was one that Trinity had heard before, thought...it was an oddly personal question from someone that hadn't even given her his reasons. She had shared her reasoning with one before. But he had been the first to start asking personal questions, much like Takeru, however the boy seemed to be also trying to ether impress her, or was unsure what he wanted to do, talk or play music. Maybe he was simply nervous? his stammering and hesitation when speaking seemed to indicate that much.

She stood there thinking of if she should answer or not, The question was personal, but at the same time she had been asked it and answered it honestly before in interviews, if the boy had read any of them he probably would not be asking so it meant he wasn't really a fan of her group. So then why did he want to know? she tilted her head to the side as she thought on that and listened to his music.

He was fairly good, Better then her at the piano that was obvious to her, but she traded a specialization in any one instrument, to be able to play any and all of them, though she did favor her syntaur. She stood there listening as she thought and decided to answer.

"We sing because we enjoy it, but we do not only sing we dance and play music as well, we do all of this to make others happy and bring hope to them" she said simply as he finished playing

"Ah. I see. You play because you enjoy inspiring people." He said. "I play because I enjoy it as well... and because it let's me be free from the cares of the world." He said.
"You know... songs are power in their own way, you know? One done right is a beautiful blend of emotion, sound, and sometimes words. They can influence a person's mind in many ways, depending on the music used. But... you didn't come here for a lesson in philosophy, so let me ask you something else." He said.
"How was my playing?" He asked her.

Looking at takeru she tilted her head once more at his words, it was like he thought she didn't already know this, after all she was the one that pointed out why she did why she did. It was odd really, maybe the boy was saying it to settle it in his own mind? Ether way she stood there silently as he spoke, and then he asked her about his playing and she tilted her head the other way as she thought about it once more before starting to answer "We thought your playing was very good, as for your words we are well aware that song has power, we have been doing it for quite a while" her expressionless face and monotone voice continued as she tilted her head and continued to speak.

"Though your reasoning sounds like you believe that You have thought about using your music for something else, though we have no Idea what that could be, but other then asking for our motivations for what we do, was there another reason to call us to such a secluded place?" she had to ask really as once again it seemed to point to similar scenes she had seen in her manga and some anime, though in the end she highly doubted the reason he called her here was the same.

"Well, besides talk, I wanted you to listen to me play." Takers said.
"It's so very rare that I have the chance to truly show off my skills... and with that being said... any requests?" Takeru said.
"Why is it that you always ask that? She might just ask you. To play something you want to play. So why bother?" Twelve said.
"Because there's a maybe. And besides. Let's see what she picks. You can tell a lot about a person by the music they listen too." He said.

Looking around she had to wonder why he wanted just her to listen to him play, as there had been more people at the first time he tried to show how good he was back in Suzie Q. It seemed it was a rather odd request still, but she simply decided that perhaps he was making sure she heard him play, but we he that concerned with his skills that he wanted to make sure someone listened? She doubted that since he played in that crowded venue.

Then he asked about any requests and she couldn't really think of any as she shook her head "We have no requests at this time for music, not anything on piano anyway Though a suggestion would be mozart piano concerto 21 if you would be so inclined" she then walked over and took a chair as she decided that the boy seemed more interested in playing music at the moment then talking, which was something she could understand at least a little.

"Ah. Mozart! One of the greats! Yes. I am familliar with that one." Takeru said, steeling hinself, taking a deep breath as he began to play. He played with all due finesse,  making the flow of a music like that of a calm river: smooth. The u sic quickly flooded the hall, not ceasing until the very last note had been played.
"So... how was that?" Takeru said.

Trinity listened as the boy played his music, or rather Mozart's music, she sat quietly and simply let the music play as she thought on other things, it would seem the boy called her here to show his skill, that was getting more and more obvious, so she had to wonder had he done the same to all the others that had met him at the time? Did they all have to meet him in a hall and listen to him play under the guise of wanting to talk? As so far he had seemed more interested in playing music and asking her about music related things, rather then talk.

Not that she had an issue with that, but he could have explained so in the text message, not that she would have been able to read it considering the apparent cypher he sent texts in. As she listed to him play she continued her pondering, and then the music ended and the boy asked her how his playing was, and considering he hadn't asked her what movement of Mozart's piano concerto 21 she wanted to hear and he instead played the entire half hour of it she had to give a nod to his play, since he was also missing the normal Orchestral accompaniment and the cues they would have given to his playing "It was very good" she replied in her expressionless monotone as she gave a little clap.

"Thank you." Takeru said, graciously accepting the praise. "My grandfather and I would listen to this when I was younger... I couldn't forget the melody if I tried to." He said, laughing, recalling old memories.
"What about you? Do you have any family like that?" He asked her.
At that moment, his mind wandered as something surfaced from his foggy sea of memory...
It was him and the girl again, but this time, here. He was playing something for her, and she was applauding him...
"Wow! I'm amazed you can play like that! But I wonder... can you play like this?" She asked him. She herself stepped up onto the piano, and began to play.
He could hear the song. It was the 1812 overture.
And she was playing it better than he could at the time.
When he was finished he was applauding her, and was asking her something.
At that point, the memory once again grew hazy...

The boy pointed out his reason for knowing the melody so well unbidden by her, it seemed the boy liked to add information that wasn't asked about, it was odd really, She hadn't really talked to anyone that gave up so much so easily, it made her wonder if he was being fictitious or if he indeed was simply this open? But on to his question, it was a rather odd question, Did she have anyone in her family like what? Like a musician? Like a grandparent? Like a teacher? Or did he mean someone that listened to music with her? He left his question very open ended and didn't seem to add much to it as he seemed to simply sit there waiting for her to answer him.

Trinity thought about the answer she would give and in the end she decided that he meant someone that listened to music with her "Our mother listened to music all the time with us" she replied with a nod as she thought back to it. It was when she was teaching her about notes and pitch, part of the lesson was to listen to other music other artists and pick out the pitch changed and the like, it was rather fun at the time and it had helped Trinity develop her own style as well as train her skills to better pick out things of that nature.

"That sounds nice. Is she still around?" He asked her.
As he waited for an answer, he once again found himself lost in memory...
He was in a house, a manor, to be precise with her. Judging from what he could see, it appeared to be hers.
She was talking to him once again, this time, the two were eating alone.
"Where are your parents?" He asked her.
"They died a while back." She answered.
"Oh... that's... i'm sorry if..." He began.
"No, no, it's okay." She said, and though he could not clearly see her face, something told her she was lying. The conversation continued, but he could no longer hear it, the memory growing hazy...
