The first file she found pages of records regarding books when they were being checked out and turned in, including any late fees assigned. The lists were clear, and the papers were cleanly placed where they were. She would find that if she went through other folders, they would have similar information.

Not what she expected, but still useful info. At least she knew what books she had at her disposal right now. Well, that was all, at least, there didn't seem to be much of anything in these files... still wearing her gloves, Rita placed the folders back where they were and sloppily closed the drawer, not really being able to fully close it since its lock was broken... hey, don't blame her.

Regardless, now that that was done, she'd move towards the other stack of shelves. Now this shouldn't be too hard, right? Before doing anything, she'd check if all of them were locked, and if so, she'd do exactly the same with each drawer as she did with the middle one, taking her screwdriver once more. She'd start with the top one, however, then move onto the middle one and then the bottom one before checking their contents, only opening them in that same succession and inspecting them fully once that was done.

The first drawer after being opened would have nothing apparent in vision. The second drawer when opened revealed a small ID card that had the picture of a grey-haired man, named 'Simon Alba' on it. Inside as well was a comb, a pen, and a crumbled piece of paper. The bottom shelf had nothing apparent, however it seemed a bit more shallow than the other drawers.

This was a start. Rita took the ID, comb and paper, stuffed the first two into her pocket and held onto the paper for now... until she noticed the third drawer. Was this his attempt at hiding things? Sneaky. But not sneaky enough. There wasn't any way this was getting past Rita, so before she unfolded the paper, she put it in her toolbox, where it was more easily distinguishable, and put her screwdriver inside the third drawer, leaning against its very edge before twisting the hilt to make the tool go right at the corner of the shelf. If it had any indentation or if Rita was even slightly able to get the screwdriver between the bottom of the shelf and its 'wall' of sorts, she'd push the hilt of the screwdriver towards her like a lever, trying to lift the lid of the shelf itself. She kept the crumbled paper in the back of her mind, but she remembered it, however. Most of all, she wanted everything in her possession before trying to investigate it all... yeah, considering what she did before with the other files, maybe it was a bit late for that, but hey, she was keeping the things regardless.

It was sure enough a fake bottom hiding in the third drawer. When it lifted, she would see another piece of paper neatly folded, along with what appeared to be a photo, however it was faded, and ruined, which made it near impossible to tell what was actually on it.

She snorted, almost amused. Predictable, in a way, but did she expect anything less? The picture, she couldn't really make much of, but nevertheless, she stored it neatly in her wallet for safekeeping. It could come in handy later. Next on the list was the... crumbled piece of paper, though she took the folded one in the bottom drawer and placed it in the toolbox as well before removing the crumbled one. Neatly and carefully, Rita would slowly try to make the paper return to its normal shape... sure, it wouldn't be perfect and there'd still be a lot of creases, but the way Rita was doing it, it would assure that no additional tears aside from ones that may have already been there weren't created. At least now she seemed to have everything... except the pen. She still took the pen and put it in her pocket, it could be valuable info. However valuable a pen could be. Maybe she could use it to leave a message for Simon or something... hah, that'd be amazing.

Rita was successful in her attempt to restore the paper despite its many creasings.

Alright, amazing, now she had reading material to use while going--- scratch that thought. It was to read in bed, obviously. Regardless, she took back the other folded piece of paper and unfolded it as well, placing it under the creased sheet before beginning to read them... during this, she'd simply sit down again, figuring there was nothing else she really had to do right now in here.

The crumbled piece of paper after being unfolded would read with fairly sloppy handwriting as follows:

People to Trust

Naomi
Rita Arisato
DJ Ri
Shunnosuke Kurosawa
Jack Rannells
Nilo Lockwood
A.R.

People Unsure About
Isla
L.R.
Cuore

However, as Rita was reading the note, footsteps could be heard coming down in the direction of the hallway. Apparently this place was not so deserted at all. They apparently were coming from the direction Rita came from to enter, and they were certainly sounding very close...

"Fuck. Not now, of all times." Her flashlight immediately went off as soon as the sounds came in, but her brain still registered the names on the list. She folded back the papers and moved beneath the desk in the most silent way she could, staying quiet until she was certain this was a threat... hell, she never liked doing these things, but if push came to shove... Would she be able to do it, she wondered? Hell, her hands were already stained enough...

The footsteps would come to a stop right outside the door, before after a small moment, it would be loudly kicked open. A figure walked in, with a description that could not be said, however, they would begin to look around the area, staying near the door, being the one entrance that most people used to get in and out of the library. "Alright, come on out! I know I heard something in here." An adult male voice called. They eyed to the left and right of them, watching for any sudden movements while turning on a flashlight to look around over the shelves and desk from his angle.

Tch, this is what it came down to? Boring. Another random officer or something. Rita, needless to say, would stay absolutely quiet, making her breathing slow and steady by concentrating on what was her objective right now... she needed to make an escape, that much was for sure. Thankfully... there were still those. For now, though, she just had to wait. There was backup, after all, if the thing sitting in her toolbox right now was of any indication... it didn't give off anything right now, not even a single sound, but it was there, ready to go as soon as Rita needed it.

The male looked around, not seeing anything in particular, before turning to the desk. They moved away from the door to where they were now close to one of the bookshelves but looking at the desk and the door behind it that led to the back room. Was someone back there? "Come out now, whoever you are." He said, before turning away to look at the shelf he was at, expecting to be attacked from behind. He took a moment to look around at the shelf, ready for any sudden attack in that direction.

Rita waited for a moment until she sensed the guard turn around. With her hearing completely focused, it shouldn't be a problem. Taking small steps, as soon as he turned around, Rita looked around the room, using the guard's flashlight as her source. She'd take just a single glance for anything out of the ordinary before her sword appeared without a word in her right hand. As this happened, Rita slowly but surely opened the toolbox again, removing a fairly large pipe wrench from it... no, the guard was most likely expecting something like this. To hell with it, sneaking away from the desk but still keeping an eye on where the man was looking. Staying behind him, Rita tip-toed only for the first step to avoid making noise and get her away from the desk, before actually taking a quick dash and hop and smashing her wrench against the man's skull at full force. With her strength, if she was successful in her attack at all, he'd be knocked out without any trouble... well, considering what she did, a knock out wouldn't be the only thing he'd have to worry about, but her strength wasn't enough to cause a major concussion, much less actually kill the man from this. Needless to say, Rita left her toolbox under the desk for better mobility while doing this.

Since the man was on high alert, it did not take effort to hear the toolbox and someone's movement, they have had to deal with that before after all. With a quick duck, followed by an attempted low kick towards whatever was behind him, he backed up to the end of the shelf. They looked at the girl with a suspicious glare. Another closer look would tell Rita that he was not much taller than she was, and looked more like a young adult, wearing a tank top and shorts, and a holster on either side. He reached for the one on his right to pull out a knife, before staring at the girl while keeping an arm over his left. "Alright girl you have thirty seconds to explain why you're here before I start guessing," they said with more of an accent this time. It looked like he was suddenly trying to intimidate her, though he had a weapon. His hand was shaking however; the poor man was not expecting something like this to happen.
