Siren's Song (Juli-sama) Empty
PostSubject: Siren's Song (Juli-sama)   Siren's Song (Juli-sama) EmptyTue May 26, 2015 2:28 pm

So, these where the ruins? They where interesting to say the least... Countless buildings nestled high within the trees... It was almost like a scene out of a story book... These ruins had become more and more decayed with time... Eventually becoming the land mark they where today... Who'd have guessed such a whimsical place existed within this seemingly boring island? Not the DJ, that was for sure... Though, she hadn't came for the view... She came for an escape...

Siren's Song (Juli-sama) 12-forest

She had been... Off, since her parents came down... Two figures in her life that didn't seem capable of getting along in any shape or form... And two figures who didn't seem capable of loving her and her choices... It didn't break the DJ... It just hurt was all... Things like this happen from time to time and time would be the only thing to heal this wound... She thought though... What if she left to be with them? But... She didn't want to leave Calvin and her freedom... It was such a stupid predicament... Absolutely unbearable...

The DJ sat herself under a tree, her guitar in hand as she played a song, her voice light as she sang along. It echoed within the forest, bouncing off the trees. She wondered if any ghosts decided to visit here? She wondered if any spirits chose this place to rest... It was an odd thought, no doubt... But... Charming to the DJ... A place so loved that those now gone chose to reside in it... Even if this place was just an accident... It was still a lovely story to add to it.

The jungle was peaceful that day, the birds and animals adding to the siren like song that wafted through the ruins... It was, honestly, like entering a story book. If anyone heard, they'd probably be confused... Why would someone be singing in the middle of a ruined city? Who knew... Only the DJ did, and she was within the ruins' trees... Would someone find her? Only time would tell...

PostSubject: Re: Siren's Song (Juli-sama)   Siren's Song (Juli-sama) EmptySat Jun 13, 2015 7:32 pm

OOC:

The teen had situated himself against a tree, busying himself with taking sips from a water bottle and trying to cool off in the shade the trees provided. God, compared to the other islands, Lunapa was humid as hell. It was starting to make his tank top stick to his overheated skin and the loose cargo pants feel significantly less comfy than they had not an hour ago. A hike in the forest had sounded kind of nice, but in retrospect, he probably should have undergone such a trip in the fall, when the bugs and sun weren't such an issue. Well, at least he was getting a workout, which was his main reason for coming. That's what counted, right?

// Hm...? // The bottle lingered on his lips for a moment as he stilled, listening intently to the voice and chords drifting through the air.

Was someone playing music or something? No, it didn't sound as refined as a studio recording would be. There wasn't any screaming or crackling like a live recording would have, either. So, that was a real person. Question was, who were they?

For a moment, Julian sat there, considering his options. He could go about his business and start his hike back up again, but he wasn't quite in the mood to do so. His limbs still felt a little sore, after all, and there was no sense in overexerting himself. So he could either sit where he was and ignore the song, or...hm, he could go investigate. What would the harm be? Sure, they could possibly be a little standoffish or maybe even upset at being discovered, but in Julia's opinion, why would you sing and play so loudly in a place like this unless you hoped to be heard? Toursts came by all the time. For them to think they'd be undiscovered...well, not the smartest move, in his opinion.

His curiosity peaked, Julian stood straight rather than leaning against the tree and followed the sound. It didn't take long until he came across the source: a rather interesting looking girl. Huh. Well, he figured it was a woman from the voice, but it was good to know his guess was confirmed. Leaning against a tree nearby, the teen kept his gaze on the girl, head tilted as he listened quietly. No sense in calling out to her and possibly scaring her off her perch. The last thing he wanted was to get the girl hurt, or, even worse, be the one to foot the medical bill. Might as well let her notice him on her own, should she decide to look up anytime soon.

PostSubject: Re: Siren's Song (Juli-sama)   Siren's Song (Juli-sama) EmptySun Jun 14, 2015 2:04 pm

OOC:

The DJ continued the song for what felt like a while, looping over again once the song ended. This was a means of coping for the DJ; singing the pain away. She wasn't quite capable of dealing with these emotions with others... She hoped Calvin hadn't sent a search party after her when she just up and vanished this morning. It was a terrible thing to do to one of the few people she loved... But, it didn't quite tick for the DJ that she might have hurt her loved ones doing this... It was like a switch was turned off while another one was stuck on on.

The DJ continued her playing even when she heard a person walk towards her location and stayed. An odd thing, really... It was probably Calvin, most people would just walk on by or give her an odd look. It didn't overly matter though, whoever it was sure was getting a show from a professional. Might as well let them enjoy it. Not everyone had to be all down in the dumps like she did. Might as well try and make a person smile than make them frown.

The song continued for a while longer, the DJ's voice echoing around the two as she sang. It was whimsical, really... This place just had the right amount of realness, obscurity, and natural wonder to make this place a sought after place. The DJ didn't blame them, really... Who wouldn't want to see this place up close and personal? She'd love to have stayed in one of those houses instead of the shack she was stuck in for the time being.

Siren's Song (Juli-sama) Ccuqlua

"So... Did ya like the show?"

The DJ said after the song ended, looking up at the person from her seat. It wasn't Calvin... But a new person. Hm... Odd, really... She pulled at one of the colorful strands of her wildly dyed hair. She didn't exactly give the teen eye contact, preferring to not let people see the sadness in her eyes. It wasn't lie they needed to see it... Or something... It was just, not okay... She wanted to keep her sadness to herself and not give it to others... Especially not some stranger she met in the middle of a ruined city. Was he a ghost...?

Sooner or later he was bound to be seen; after all, it wasn't like he blended into the scenery. Shoving his hands into his pockets, the teen gave the girl a smile and a slight nod. "Yeah. It's impressive that you can sing and play at the same time and do both well." A while back, Julian had actually tried learning various instruments. The guitar had been one of the first he'd chosen, of course, but it didn't take long to find out two very important things. Thing one: playing guitar was harder than it looked. Thing two: he really sucked at it. Since then, he'd come to respect anyone who could bang out even the simplest of tunes. A performance like that definitely earned his respect.

For a second, he considered walking towards her. Then again, he didn't exactly want to get too close and freak her out. Besides, both parties seemed confortable where they were. Might as well keep it that way. "You come out here and play often?"

It would seem the boy didn't notice the DJ's sadness. That was a good turn of events to say the least. The DJ stayed moderately quiet though, something that would be found odd with how colorful she was. Maybe she had been forced to wear the clothes? Probably not... DJ doubted she could fool anyone that she was forced to do anything... The DJ put on a fake smile though, tilting her head lightly at the teen.

"Well... Thanks. I'm not really much of a guitarist, really... I don't play a lot, actually..." she said with a light sigh, strumming the guitar lightly. That was an obvious lie though... The DJ had been doing nothing but playing her guitar these past few weeks. Eesh, if it wasn't a beach it was a corner, if it wasn't one of those, it was the studio, her rented home, or this lovely ruined village. Why'd she play the guitar and not another instrument? The DJ didn't really know... Maybe it was because of Calvin...? The DJ could really only guess...

"This is my first time visiting here, actually... Kinda found it by accident, really... This place is pretty far from anywhere else, huh?" she said with a slightly bashful look on her face. Did she really run this far into a forest with no clue how to get back? Eesh... Talk about emotional roller coasters...

The boy's face brightened in a confused grin. "Sorry, but I'd beg to differ. You play like a pro." And he actually knew some people who were practically professional musicians, so he could actually say that with a clear conscience. The way she said it though...was she one of those perfectionists annoyed at her own playing, or was she actually upset...? It was so hard to tell with strangers.

"You've got that right." he nodded, chuckling lightly. This particular set of ruins was rather far into the forest. He suspected hardly any tourists came out here, if any. After all, he'd been hiking for a good couple of hours wheras most people stopped and turned around after just one. "You...did know that, right?" he asked a minute later, the smile on his face one of bewilderment and worry.  Oh boy...if she was lost, then that wasn't good at all. Did she need help getting out of here, then? "Do you need some help finding the main trail or...?"

A-Ah... At least he didn't notice the sadness... But jeez, did everyone have to compliment her? Was she really that amazing everyone just had to compliment her? I mean... You don't need to stop... It's just, in the middle of a ruined village, it felt a little... Out of place to say the least. The DJ would only wave her hand lightly at the compliment, a light laugh escaping her... Was she feeling better now? Hopefully...

"Do you compliment every girl you meet in the jungle?" she asked in her teasing tone, smiling lightly before standing and leaning against the tree as she swung the guitar's strap over her back, letting the instrument hang from her shoulder as she looked towards the teen again. He seemed nice enough, not really mean looking or anything... Eh, who'd really care if he was some bad boy? As long as he didn't, like, assault her she was fine.

"I'm really not that good though... You should hear my manager, he trumps me at every tune." she said with a light smile, remembering Calvin for the moment. Would he be mad at her? She hoped not... Hopefully he'd be okay and not be to angry... Or, you know, sad... That'd be awful...

The DJ herself was wearing a black tank top with a black and pink striped gym skirt. What really made her colorful though was her obviously multiple colored dyed hair and the insane amount of accessories she was wearing. There where at least five bracelets on each arm, each brightly colored and made out of a different type of material. She wore a mood ring on each of her index fingers, both being red even though it was obvious she wasn't angry. She wore a spiked collar around her neck that was followed by a necklace with a pink diamond heart attacked to it. She was definitely an odd ball to say the least... Though, she didn't seem to care as she stood in the jungle ruins.

"... Yah... I er, have no idea where I'm at... I kinda didn't keep track on where I was going this morning... I kinda couldn't see for most of that, too..." the DJ said with a nervous laugh as she poked her index fingers together. Wow... This was embarrassing... If this guy hadn't come and walked along and found her, she'd have been lost for... Heaven knows how long... Eesh...

Siren's Song (Juli-sama) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Siren's Song (Juli-sama)   Siren's Song (Juli-sama) EmptyMon Jul 06, 2015 11:30 am

"Only the pretty, talented ones." He chuckled, giving her a bright, playful grin in response. Of course, that was kind of a lie. It wasn't like he ever met another girl in the jungle before, after all (unless you counted jungle-themed play-sets when he was young). And compliments only came where credit was due, like in this case. If someone was doing well, why not give them encouragement to continue doing so?

Julian wasn't quite sure whether or not to believe the girl on that one. One too many times had he seen some really talented people try and play off their skills by directing focus or comparing themselves to another person, which normally wasn't fair. This "manager" of hers was probably much older than her and played for a longer time. Of course he'd be more experienced than her, if not play better. That was no reason to discount herself though. After a moment, the teen tilted his head, blinking slightly. "You have a manager?" Was she a professional already, or trying to break into the business? Either one would explain her talent.

When the girl admitted she didn't know where she'd found herself, the teen chuckled lightly. Ah, so she was lost. Good thing he knew where to go or they'd both be in trouble. "If you want I can take you back to the station."

If she said yes, he'd offer to help her down from her perch. Not that she didn't look capable of coming down herself, but it didn't hurt to extent the offer. If she accepted, he'd offer her a hand to steady herself as she hopped down. If she said she was fine, he'd stand out of her way as she descended. Afterwards, he'd ask if she was ready before beginning to backtrack, motioning with his hand for her to follow.

If she said no, she wanted to linger, he'd allow her to do so, offering to stick around until she wished to leave. After all, if she was lost, there was no telling when or if she'd ever come out if he left her. Besides, what were the odds of another person coming out soon?

Oh, more compliments, eh heh... Though, did he have a habit of finding girls lost in the jungle? Seemed a bit... Odd... It was probably most likely made in jest though, so whatevs~. It just meant a boost to the DJ's ego or something... Ya know, that one thing the DJ didn't seem to have right now, eh heh... Regardless, the DJ would tilt her head right back at the teen, though in the opposite direction he had tilted his head.

"Hm? Mhm. I'm a DJ believe it or not... Kinda came here for my first record deal after my first world tour... So, mhm, I have a manager." the DJ said with a nod of her head... Er, that came out awkward... Why it came out so oddly was beyond the DJ but... Maybe it was because she didn't want the outside world tainting this place. Being a DJ was fun... But Disk Junkies had a way of creating music that wasn't really music at the same time... In the end, she used electronically programmed sounds to substitute real instruments... She still considered it music, but she couldn't deny how foreign and wrong it might be to the ghosts that may reside here. She hummed lightly, glancing down at Julian once her train of thought had ended.

"Ah, no no... I, er, kinda live in a vacation home here in Lunapa... But, I know my way back home from the station if that helps." the DJ said with a light smile and nod of her head, allowing Julian to help her down once the time came. She had finished the song she had played and... Really had no further business thinking about what may or may not reside here. It'd be nice to revisit this place later, but for now it was time to go home and make amends.

"Lead the way, kid." the DJ said with a salute to the teen, smiling lightly. She tugged on the guitar's strap that was over her shoulder, hoping it wouldn't get scratched on the way back... How she got here without it getting scratched was beyond her but, eh, power of the sleep deprived? Regardless, the DJ was ready to follow Julian when he was ready to go.

Siren's Song (Juli-sama) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Siren's Song (Juli-sama)   Siren's Song (Juli-sama) EmptyFri Jul 24, 2015 9:13 pm

    ...

    ...

    ...

// ...Right, "no talent" my ass... // He thought wryly to himself, mildly thrown off by this new information. How could someone who went on a world tour think they weren't good at what they did? It was refreshing, sure, but still, she should give herself a little credit. Otherwise she might just discourage herself and quit doing what she did despite her success at it.

Oh. Well then. Not exactly convenient for him, but if it helped her, that worked too. He'd prefer to make sure she got home safely, but the station had maps of the trails and such. Hopefully securing her with one of those would ensure she made it back alright. "Well, if you say so, I'll be more than happy to take you there." After a moment, he'd look back at her curiously. "Would you like me to walk you back to your house? It's not late or anything, but I'd hate to leave you on your own only for you to get lost again." No harm in offering, right? If she said no, he could always just go with his first plan with the map. Whichever worked best for her.

Julian couldn't help but chuckle lightly. Kid? Him? Sure, he looked a little young, but his height usually made people believe he was older. Maybe this girl wasn't quite as young as he thought she was? Hm...possibly. He believed her to be fifteen or so; she could be college age, maybe, and just be short. Or it could be her features. "As you wish." still smiling slightly, he started to walk back to the trail, choosing to go the least foliage-dense path so there was less chance of getting caught on anything and getting hurt. No sense in taking added risk here; he'd hate to see her fall with that guitar on her back. No telling how much that'd hurt.

"So, I take it you aren't familiar with this part of Azores?" Sure, she might've had a house here, but someone who frequented an area most likely wouldn't get lost so easily. Maybe it was her first time visiting?

With a tug of the guitar strap, the DJ followed the teen down the path, lightly humming her previous tune as she did so. This place was so beautiful... Honestly, why the hell didn't she get lost in Lunapa more? She could find a secret grove or like, a new waterfall or something cool like that, yo... Though, was getting lost in a jungle the best idea in the first place...? Eh heh... Probably not... Um... Yaaaah...

"Hm? Uhm... It don't really matter... Whatever you prefer, yo. My house might be closer but... I don't really know where we're at exactly... Eh heh..." the DJ said with a weak laugh and smile... How she found her in this predicament was beyond her... But, eh, at least a nice person came to help, ya know? Maybe it was a gift from those ghosts? That'd be nice... Maybe it meant she made a few friends back there...

"Hm...? Well... I'm kinda familiar with the more residential areas of Lunapa but not really the tourist parts... I usually just hang in my house or the beach... Or go to Penecia... Gotta love Penecia, yo!" the DJ said with a light smile and laugh, remembering the many times she went to party there. It was a fun island, yo! Things to do, place to be, people to meet! It was the radest island so far.

With a chuckle. Julian gave the girl one nod and continued on his way. "The station it is first, then." If she wanted him to follow her to her house for one reason or another, he wouldn't mind, but he'd let her make that decision on her own. She might not want a complete stranger (no matter how helpful) to know where she lived, after all.

He was liking this girl more and more. She reminded him of a spunkier Casper, actually. Both loved music, had immense talent, and the same attitude about Azores. Although he had a sneaking suspicion they both liked Penecia for different reasons... Shrugging off the amusing thought, he looked back at the DJ with a grin. "You have good taste! I hang around Penecia a lot too. The Wave's Peak, specifically. You go there too?" Maybe he'd have another clubbing buddy after this? Ahaha, first Jandice, then Shunnosuke, and now possibly this girl...maybe he should go back to the club soon and personally thank Jandice for creating such a place where he met such a wide array of people.

The boy seemed nice, yah? Oh! And he went to that sometimes rad club!? That's awesome! The DJ didn't exactly have any club buddies... Calvin and Mallory where generally too busy and she hadn't exactly met anyone into the club scene just yet... It was a little lame, but yo! If this kid was a clubber, he got major props in the DJ's book!

"Aight aight. Station a go-go~!" the DJ said in an optimistic tone, continuing to follow the teen's lead. He was a nice looking kid, huh? She hadn't really given him too many glances before, but now knowing he was a clubber made her look at him a bit more. Nice, heh.

"Ah, I'm there as much as I can be! I've even been able to DJ there a few times! It's so rad, yo! Kinda lame it normally doesn't play the raddest tunes though..." the DJ said with a light sigh, mewsing over the general taste of music that was played there. Exotic wasn't bad... But it didn't really scream club either... Eh, she wasn't the owner though, so, like, no point in botherin.

"What kinda music you like? Ya gotta like something if ya go to a club, yo." the DJ said and asked in a curious tone. She was always interested in hearing what the younger crowd liked these days. After all, being a professional DJ, she kinda needed to know... Though, she was thinking of going Indy soon... That'd be rad~!

"Oh?" He questioned with a smile. Dissatisfaction with the music played...now that sounded like Jandice. He remembered that she said she usually played what was generally requested or what the patrons wanted, not always her own style. Although the edgier, almost Gothic electronic...yeah, that was her speed. "You scheduled to play there again anytime soon? I'm kind of curious to see what you'd play." Maybe it was music he hadn't heard before? That would be nice. He was always looking for good music to add to the already expansive collection on his iPod.

He stepped carefully over a jumble of rocks, warning the girl about it before he returned to her question with a light hum. "I'm pretty all over the place when it comes to music, really. Motown, jazz, electronic, metal, rap, pop..." he paused for a moment, mouth scrunching to the side in thought before he looked back at the girl with a laugh. "Okay, not all pop, I'll have to admit, but I like a good chunk of it at least." He gave her a smile. "And you? What's your genre? Or do you bounce around like I do too?"

Eh? Was the DJ? She hadn't actually scheduled anything as of late... Singing lady in her head and all... It was still a bit hard to focus with her always singing, eh heh... Though, she could always ask! Asking was an important skill in life, don'cha know?

"Mm... I don't think so... Been kinda busy lately... I wanna though, maybe soon, if they let." the DJ said with a nod of her head. She'd like to... DJing was her entire life after all, yo! Though, regardless, it depended if they had another DJ playing or just playing the tunes they normally did... It was a professional establishment, after all.

"Ah... Hum... Dubstep, chillstep, some pop, drum and bass, electronica, future bass, trap, glitch hop, tropical house if I'm feelin' groovy~. But, yah, stuff I can mix too and jam too, ya know? Gotta love that beat drop!" she said with a nod of her head. She was all over the place... Though, they all were types of music DJs generally made... It was fun music, yo!
