| "~T-R-O-U-B-L-E, that is what you are made of...~" Music played in the Nightclub, as a woman in center stage, with her bandmates singing in the club hall. She danced her fingers along the keyboard as the crowd jumped and cheered for her. She grinned to the condensed crowd, as she played with the keys and showed off, looking through the crowd. Earlier she gave an invite to a couple of friends she knew, that would be sitting near the front row. She was so distracted by the lights and her tunes that she could hardly see the front. Among her closer friends, she invited a young boy with red hair that she had a thing or two for. He was a cutie, and admittedly while she enjoyed her passion as a musician, she wanted to show off to him too. Another friend she invited was someone he met out on the streets. At first he was a little creepy, but he turned out to be a very loyal friend. If all went well, they would be meeting her backstage when the concert was over. She watched as the lead singer danced on the crowd, hung by invisible wire, that gave off the illusion that she was flying, while the rest remained on stage, while she worked her magic. All of them had something unique about them, though Lorielle in particular was loved less for her music and more for her attitude for the band. She put the most work into managing it, and kept it afloat in Ueitawa; of course her music was nothing to scoff at either. As the song petered out, hundreds of thoughts entered her mind so suddenly, that dropped her smile for a moment. She had a dream the night before the concert, a dream where her and her friend Kogami Shibuya faced off against monsters with another friend. He was so helpful, and yet the other friend that was there her mind could not place the name off. It was as though she existed as her friend only in the dream, but she knew that she was real. She had flickers of memories of her but her name was always on the tip of her tongue. It bothered her that part of it was blotted out. She remembered asking Kahn Azame at one point if she ever got in trouble and he came, and though he said he would, he didn't recall an incident where he did. She must be daydreaming so much. She felt like so much of her life just went by, like she fast-forwarded to the part that truly mattered: her future. And yet, what she lacked made her pause. The music stopped and the band came to an almost dead silence as her bandmates looked upon her with concern. Was something the matter? They noticed her eyes were glistening, and some in the crowd were talking. They didn't know what was going on. Lorielle opened her mouth, and shook her head before giving a big smile to the crowd, her eyes as bright as the sun."Well, I kept you all waiting long enough! We still have one more song! All good things must come to an end, but that doesn't mean good things can never begin anew!" She said, as she played the keyboard to a crowd of people, cheering somehow louder than before. A small tear echoed down the young woman's cheek, but she didn't move to touch it. She knew that it wouldn't come back to her, but it was alright. Somewhere out there, her dreams mattered, and one day she would say hi to the girl once again, and soon talk to the others she may have forgotten. She remembered her name...Gabby she thought. Part of her wished she was here, but fate wasn't so kind. But until they met again, the passion and dreams Lorielle had now; her friends and music she had to cherish now. The now was just as important as the past and the future. Through it all, some dreams may get hurt and some may never recover, but it isn't how hard you fell, it was how fast you got up.Lorielle Rutherford~ END | |
