Ranger Meeting Two: The Quest for More Angels (Rangers Only)

So... they all saw his world as one that would be worth fighting for... Jack felt a wave of pride as his friends offered their support to his dream. He knew he had made the right choice in recruiting each of them to be not only his brothers and sisters and others in arms... But his friends... However... Mae and Charles both had their reservations. Understandable ones at that... This competition will only lead to bloodshed... Even as the primordials fall the angels will still demand us to battle for their goals. That could very well mean they'd have to come to blows if they joined other angels... he... he would have to...

"No... That won't happen..." Jack would turn towards Mae, the fire in his eyes evident even behind his visor." I refuse to let that happen. Mae, you are absolutely right. In the end people who fight under different banners may come to blows... But I won't allow that. Not now not ever. I refuse to draw my blade against a friend and I know you do to. So don't worry... even if down the road you find that you're ideals lie with another angel... We'll still be friends, and I promise that I will never fight any of you for a reason so stupid as this. No matter what, we will always stand together. This is my oath.... now..." Jack would turn back to angel and her outstretched hand.

"Miss.Divine... Before I shake your hand and forge our alliance... I would like to ask a few favors. First, we are not your servants, nor are we your knights. We are your comrades, and more importantly... your friends. So don't go all evil queen on us hehehe. Second, we protect the public first and foremost. We are Power Rangers after all... Third, if you force us to try to... " Jacks stumbled trying to find he right words... but none came"You know... What Mae said... I walk. If we are attacked, that is a different story, we will defend ourselves. But we will not be the aggressors against the followers of another angel. Their ideals are just as valid as our own, and they should not be punished for having them... Dose that seem fair?" Jack felt he wasn't asking much... he just wanted to be sure that Angel wasn't going to use them for her own ends... this was a test of his own. He needed to know that he would be fighting for humanity, not for the whims of an angel. More then that though... he wanted Angel to know that he saw her as a friend, and would fight along side her... but not below her.

"Thanks for understanding, Angel..." Mae said, looking her straight in the eye, her grip around Charles' hand loosening a bit. "I'll return here when I have found my answer. Until then, I wish you the very best. Jack is a close and reliable friend of mine. I hope he serves your cause well." She bowed slowly at the angel. Not that she swore allegiance, but she did respect Angel's authority. She held powers that Mae could never even dream of having, and that alone was worth respecting. Besides, she had been kind enough to listen to Mae... Which she was glad for...

"Jack... You..." Mae stood there speechless. She honestly didn't know how to respond... and this is why Jack was such a good friend and leader. Always taking his friends into consideration no matter what the situation at hand was... She couldn't care less about recieving a blessing, but Jack sorely needed it... "Thanks, Jack... I really mean it."

Charles uneasilly tapped around his his boots. Ugh, ugh, ugh... This was all just so wrong to him. Jack and the others with their ideal worlds and Mae who was unsure of her decision. He himself felt out of place in that situation. He wasn't human, who was he to decide what the humans would do? He'd rather just stay out of it all... Luckily, that was exactly what Mae was going to do.

Charles backed one step silently, waiting for things to unravel and wondering what to even do...

Angel was right, perhaps joining a fraction like hers might pin them against other humans in the future. Nagisa didn't care much about fighting other humans but she was worried that she would have to face someone she cared about. Blaez wasn't here to accept Angel's blessing, could that mean that he was against her in this? She couldn't imagine her fighting Blaez and she didn't want to but Nagisa knew that if she wanted to save the world she had to make certain sacrifices and take risks, this was an important deletion and she wasn't going to back down now.

"I fully understand what this deal means and I'm willing to accept any consequences. I want to stop Thesis... even if it means making new enemies and destroying old friendships. As much as it pains I have little choice. I know that if we refuse your offering we are going to regret it. The Primordials have began their attack we don't have the luxury to wait we need to prepare our counter or else humanity is going to pay the price. That's why I, Nagisa Sugihara, accept your offer." Nagisa said hoping that her dramatic speech would be enough to persuade Mae and Charles to take Angel's offer.

Of course they would follow Jack in what ever decision he made, because at least he had some good ideas sometimes. But right now, this was all their decision, they would have to decide on joining this angel. "Well, I haven't left Mae's side... It's like we're partners in crime; I haven't fought a fight without her there." Honestly, Miss. Divine seemed to be the best fit as an angel for them, so maybe it was the best thing that they would want to join. "But, Blaez and Kazuya aren't here, which means that there are already two people not joining us. It seems the team is already split up as it is." They had a strange suspicion that the other two who had left, had joined another angel and were too afraid to come and face this one as a team, but that didn't matter as much right now. "In this matter, I'm going to accept your offer. Quinn Ayers, at your service." They would hope Mae would join, but rushing her into it wasn't the best idea. For now, they would join the angel with Nagisa and Jack and see where fate brought them next.

"Well.... I guess that answers my questions," Jack laughed as he donned his helmet and took another step towards Miss.Divine. This was.... a crowning moment in Jack's life. Every step in his life lead him to this point. The first... When he watched the first episode of OhRanger... Then his first blade, Kendo lessons, his first ranger suit and helmet. He thought the most important moment in his life would be when he first donned his suit and fought the forces of evil. That moment was trumped by far when he met Nilo... Then his awakening... His first fight with a shadow...

And now this... Slowly he reached his handout and smiled under his helm"Just one more condition.... Can I call you Zordon?" the slight chuckle in his voice gave away his joking intent."Let's save the world Miss.Divine...."

"Glad to see you three have made your choice. Now... Angel. I have a question for you... It's regarding the broadcast that occurred here a while back... What purpose does it serve, exactly?" That was one question she needed an answer for... It had been nagging at her for the longest time now, and she wanted some closure on the subject. Whether she chose to give Mae a clear-cut answer or not was up to the angel. After all, she was the one responsible for the whole thing... "Because from what I can see... it does both good and bad. Since it allows newly awakened to seek the assistance of others if needed... However, it also allows others to find us and... well, stop us easier. I'm not sure what your intentions are... But it's a bit worrisome."

Mae looked at Charles... "I'm not sure if you really would want to join an angel or not. But seeing how they are the key to stopping the Primordials, I would like to find some of them as soon as possible..."

The thing was... Thesis and this... Ananke. He had no idea what they even were. The word 'Primordial' meant nothing to him nor did he understand why or are they even trying to destroy the world. Were they like these Angels? Made sense, the Angels also wanted to 'rewrite' the world in one way or another. That was pretty much the same as what Thesis apparently wanted. That also wasn't the purpose of his creation. He was made to fight Shadows. That was it. Now he had a second purpose, though. Protecting Mae and being there for her. If she didn't want to join the Angel, neither was he. Besides, he already got to the conclusion he was unfit to choose the fate of the humanity. As long as Mae was safe and happy, he was safe and happy. His affection for her... Was it truly just love?

He suddenly felt Mae's eyes on himself. He hadn't been paying much attention to what the others were saying, but her gentle stare broke his trance. He lowered his gaze... "I don't know either. All of this... It's too much." He spoke slowly, unbekownts to the world around. "I was made for one purpose. This whole... situation exceeds my purpose." He stopped for a moment. "But... if you are going to look for the Angels, I'll accompany you, if only to keep you safe from harm." He looked her straight in the eyes with his empty ones. How do you respond, Mae?

Nagisa was relieved that they managed to convince the angel to give them her blessing. However, she had already began thinking how she should proceed from now on. Just like Mae said fighting other humans who have chosen a different angel was a possible scenario, despite Miss Divine's claims she couldn't predict what the other angels would do and there was still the danger of the corruption, Blaez had told her that something like that happened to another angel not too long ago. Still she needed the power Angel offered and even if she wanted it was too late to back down now. "Then... I believe it's time to give us your blessing. So we can put an end to this madness and restore the sanity back to our world."

Sure they had just joined the team, and probably didn't have a say in what the team did, but since Mae was a friend, they felt like they did. Of course when the going got tough, they didn't really want to speak out anymore, and opted to staying quiet. Listining to everyone speak was fun, because then they could see how a conversation went, but being involved in it was sometimes nice. Once Jack accepted the Angel's offer, Quinn would wait for an opertunity and make their move to grasp the angel's hand. "I accept your offer as well, and I look forward to working with you in the future." It was the best idea for the time being, since this angel seemed more like the type of one they would follow. Plus Jack was following this Angel, so Quinn thought it would be the best idea for now.

"Rainbow... colored... teleportation!?" Jack looked in awe as his friends were transported from the scene... IN A RAINBOW COLORED LIGHT! THAT IS AWESOME! Jack felt his inner... ok Outer Fanboy flip and dance as he was reminded of the telelportations from the original Mighty Morphen.... Yep... Jack had picked the right angel to be his partner in crime"I suppose that makes... sense angel. Though I gatta say that I-"

Jack was suddenly overcome with a floating feeling... Like... he was adrift in a calm sea of warm milk, weird analogy but deal with it...what? Would you have liked another liquid? How about Lemonade?... Is that better for you!? Anyway. He would stumble back slightly as he griped his head. A dull thudding echoed through his consciousness as he felt his Tarot Card form within his mopher and shatter on it's own.

Golem would burst into existence before Jack engulfed in a golden flame that burt away it's wooden flesh to revile the steel below"Do not worry Red Ranger..." Golem's voice boomed as more of his wooden hide was engulfed by the fires. "The flames of rebirth do not burn! They only rebuild! No longer will I be a wooden doll, made to look strong by a child's imagination. From this point forward I am the embodiment of the faith you have in your team. I am the strength you rely on when the forces of evil are to great. I am-" Just as the flames overtook the last of Golem's Flesh, the mighty being would dispel them with a mere wave of his arm.


Jack would look in awe to his reborn Persona as it slowly dissipated"May the power protect you..." as quickly as it was here... in a bright flash of light... it was gone...

"Always..." Jack would look down at the newly Golden Tarot card in his hand then up to Miss.Divine."Miss.Divine... Thank you for your gift. We will use it to champion for humanities future, independent of any dilution..." Jack wondered what she meant by... him... But that was something for another day.

Mae's view of the room faded as she and Charles vanished from the scene... A moment later, the two found themselves standing in the entrance hall to the tower again. "I hope they serve Angel well... Jack's gotten far. Even if we're not under an angel, we have to get stronger. I don't wanna fall behind... The world needs us, Charles." Mae looked at him with a determined look on her face. "I hope Angel understands... Now then... You wanna do something on the way home?" She asked as she took Charles hand, walking outside the tower, heading back home...

As Angel bowed to them, Charles could see for a brief moment a bright light emanate from the floor beneath him before it completely took over his view of the room. Next thing he knew, he found himself back outside the Tower with Mae. Huh, so they weren't allowed inside while they did their thing. Charles couldn't help but feel a wee bit angry at being practically thrown outside, but he understood where she was coming from and could live with that. The important thing was that everything was still fine and he had Mae with himself. He nodded to her. "Yes. We need to get stronger too."

He took her hand and shrugged. "Only if you want to." The two went home...
