What kind of coffee is red? (Quinny)

Yes they were a nerd, and yes they had like two action figures sitting on the shelf but that wasn’t the point. They had watched the show ever since it came out, and they’ve probably re-watched it over and over with their siblings but that still wasn’t the point. The point was that Quinn felt it was overdue, talking to someone who understood the show like they did. Judging by the slight change in his expression, Jack knew where that pose came from, which might have shown him how much of a loser they were. Coughing, they’d try to continue the conversation. “Huh.” Cracking a smile, they’d cross their arms over their chest while still sitting down. “You’re actually a hero huh? I’ll have to admit I pictured you running around in spandex and falling into trashcans as you tried to save a cat from a tree.”

"Hey! I'll have you know it was two cats and a recycling bin!" Jack laughed and flashed Quinn an appreciative smile. The small person was... fun. After Jack broke through their protective shell of politeness he was pleased to see them capable of shooting him a few jabs. The more he pealed away from this strange person the more he saw that he liked. A mischievous glint crossed his eyes as he smirked at Quinn," So tell me 'That One Person With A Parasol'... How many kittens have you saved hehe." Jack tried to look serious and accusatory for a moment before his resolve cracked and be broke into a laughter. Today was shaping up to be a rather good day!

They'd laugh at his statement while also trying to figure out just how many kittens they had saved all by themself? They knew for a fact that at least three kittens were saved that one time at summer camp. The kitchen and mess hall caught fire and those cats that usually sat around in there fit in their pockets, plus all those times they saved their cat from falling off the table, those all counted right? They were gonna count it anyways, even if Jack would disapprove. "I will have you know, Mr. Red Ranger, that I have saved kittens six times in my lifetime. Pretty good achievement if I do say so myself." Laughing again, they would look at the clock, noting that they did only have a few minutes left before they really had to go back and study for exams, but a few minutes couldn't hurt right? "Anyhow, have you even saved the world? You know the rangers are suppose to save the world at least ten times before they get recasted?"

"Oh my! Six! You've got me licked there I gatta say," Jack would smile and take his morpher off, placing it on the table. The morpher really didn't do anything in particular, it's only actual purpose is to shatter Jack's tarot card and summon his persona, a feat he could do himself just fine. Though having it felt... right... that said he was not above using it for a bit of prop humor. "You're gunna need this a LOT more then me! I mean whoa, six kittens... You're ready to take on Lord Zed himself!"

Jack would join in the laugh but notice Quinn subtly checking the clock. He would do the same and was shocked to see how much time had passed.... Huh... time seemed to fly by when he was with Quinn. Jack would stand and crack his back slightly before grabbing his stuff and smiling to Quinn "I already told ya! I am saving the world... Ranger Black already gave his life for this fight... and I'm not about to let his sacrifice be in vain... Heh... Who knows, maybe someday you'll fight along side me Quinn... Until then though. It's getting a little late, hows bout I walk you home?"

It was really starting out to be a nice day, especially since they had been able to release the inner nerd. But of course it was time to go home, which meant the nerd needed to go back in the cage for awhile. It wasn't like the nerd felt trapped, it's existence just needed to be hidden for awhile. Once handed the morpher, Quinn would smile, trying not to laugh a bit. "I never really been a red ranger type of person. I'm more like Pink Argus or Blue Swan." They'd grip the object, smiling a bit wider. "But I do like red." Taking their parasol off the ground, they'd move towards the door, waiting for Jack to hold the door because frankly it was too early to open it. They actually wanted to get another cup before leaving but would feel bad if Jack offered to pay for it. "I only live up the street, but if you seriously want to then that's fine." Opening the parasol, they would start down the street towards their house, slowing down so Jack could keep up.
