APPEARANCE: - Face-Claim:
Jace is a young man with a toned form, one that's well built for running or swimming, while standing at an even six foot tall. Despite this lean athletic frame, Jace does in fact pack a surprising amount of force behind his attacks, though most people would never know this. Beyond that, Jace has shimmering blue eyes, well-kept golden blonde hair, and flawlessly smooth skin. He's always seen with a smile on his face, though the smile never seems to reach his cold, angry glare.
PRONOUNS: He/Him
PERSONALITY: Jace is the poster child for two-faced behavior. When he's amongst the greater public, he's all smiles and dripping charm, often to the point of grandstanding for attention. Though he's also been called fairly easy-going, going with the flow without much worry at all.
This is all a facade however, and a difficult one to upkeep at that. Underneath the surface of a perfect high school student, is an insatiable appetite. Jace is constantly striving for more; be it more power, or more recognition, Jace is never satisfied with his current standing. And beyond that, there's a constant lingering agitation, always threatening to bubble up and boil over into a full-fledged rage, always waiting just over the horizon.
BACKGROUND: Jace wasn't always the social beacon and athletic powerhouse that he is now. In fact, if you were to ask those who knew him before his recent popularity, they would've used different adjectives to describe him. Words like: Forgettable, unremarkable, and some would even go as far as to say 'worthless'. And ultimately, they may've been correct.
In Jace's youth he was unremarkably average in nature, being of an average height and build, with no other remarkable traits to note. But this went even further than his physically appearance, as Jace was equally unremarkable when it came to any skills, no matter how much he tried. And truthfully, Jace did try, be it sports, arts, or even laborious work. If being unskilled wasn't already difficult enough, Jace also struggled making friends, often coming off as needy or annoying. This meant that growing up in schools, Jace would, at best, end up ignored or isolated, and at worst, be constantly ridiculed or harassed by other students.
This eventually pushed Jace to his breaking point once he'd reached high school, where the amount of people that simply ignored him dwindled and dwindled, and the people who ridiculed and abused him continued to rise. This led a young, fifteen year old Jace to find the tallest place he could in Madrial (likely a tower, since most of the bridges overlooked the water, and he couldn't take the chance with that) and attempted to throw himself from the height. Unfortunately for the forgettable youth, he'd be saved at the last possible moment, a strong grasp wrenching him from the air and pulling him back to the ground.
Jace's savior, was in fact one of the local Syr's, whom had followed the young man on his ascent, intending to ask him where he was heading when they'd seen him attempt to launch himself. At the feet of the Syr, who'd promptly asked the boy why he'd just attempted to kill himself, Jace felt no other option than to let out all of his frustrations. And all the while, as the young teenager explained his feelings of worthlessness, and expressed his yearning for strength and popularity, the Syr wore a smile on their face. One that was outwardly kind, but twisted at the edges.
And as Jace's sobbing and griping ceased, he would gaze up to see the Syr's extended hand, as the honeyed words of the figure came forth. 'I can grant you the power you seek, all you would need to do is trust me, and prepare to devote yourself to the Congregation when called upon. All you need to do, is take my hand.' And while these words were outwardly kind, there was a hidden malice beneath them. After all, if boy was already willing to throw his life away, why not us that life for a purpose? They had plenty of experiments left to run and needed subjects. Plus, it would be easy to frame the boy's parents for a crime, if the need for punishment was a necessity. Why turn away such a willing subject?
And so, Jace took that outstretched hand, but it wasn't until he was being strapped in and drugged up that he'd begun to truly realize just how much of a mistake he'd made.
But surprisingly enough, Jace had lived through the process, and it had granted him the strength and skill he'd wanted so dearly, at the cost of any of the emotional strength to enjoy it. The process, which he couldn't remember in the slightest, had left his ability to feel happiness or sadness numbed, replaced by a bubbling anger that he was constantly being forced to suppress. And a constant lust for more power, more glory, and more recognition. Jace was never going to be forgotten again.
Now, he's the seventeen year old athletic prodigy and beacon of the student body that he's recognized as amongst the academy.

PERSONA NAME: Aeshma ‘Galatine’
BACKGROUND: Galatine was the sword given to Gawain in the ‘Morte Arthure’ by the Lady of the Lake, said to make the wielder invincible when in direct sunlight.

Aeshma is the Zoroastrian demon that represents wrath, rage, or fury and his epithet was commonly known as ‘of the bloody mace’. Aeshma is the primary opposition of Sraosha, representing the battle between obedience and distraction. Despite the shadow having a powerful, rageful personality, when the anointment process occurred, his consciousness was seemingly erased, the major points in his personality fused with Jace's.
APPEARANCE:- Appearance:
Galatine is a large, golden greatsword that becomes jagged as it comes closer to the black leather handle of the sword. The blade is engraved with runes towards the tip of the blade.

Any bonuses to damage, such as Last Life or the critical effect of the weapon attack, are only applied to the original weapon attack. Last Life: If you have less than half your maximum HP, you take on more traits from the shadow bonded to you, and all your damaging moves deal 3 extra damage.
