| Greetings everyone, we are here to run people through the New combat mechanics that have come in with this plot (=w=)/ That being Tempo, Tunes, Pure Mugic, and the New class Demon Trainers. After this brief tutorial battle I hope this allows better understanding and if you have questions about combat please ask here (=w=)b For this Tutorial there is an NPC Demon Trainer ally Dee-Dee - Spoiler:

I The Great Anansi is famished!" the shadow was experiencing total glee as his user finally left school for today and after much pestering from the shadow decided to parkour around the city before doing some homework, Anansi's Human groaned as he thought the shadow would shut up after getting some fresh air. "I don't know Anansi we're already cutting it close on that assignment that's due friday." while no one on the surface could see it in the Kid's mind Anansi was grinning "Oh Five Minutes of fighting shadows won't kill you, or at least I hope so." the Shadow Cackled as his Host rolled his eyes. Locking onto their targets the Shadow Self leaped and landed right in front of the enemies. "Hey there do you mind moving your ugly ass back to the underground." The Shadow Self stood his ground ready to fight with Anansi the Spider Trickster and help the few couple of Waddle Dees, Doos and Waddle Summoner present. - Action:

| Now in normal dungeons and the like, at the start of the Dungeon one would select their "Tempo" it can ether be High, Normal, or Low, this will influence combat, More Specific Rules on Tempo in Combat are below, from this point We will have Phanta declare his characters Tempo in his next post. Tempo - Spoiler:
Tempo High Tempo Goes fastest, but actions cost 5% more resources (hp/sp) Normal tempo goes normal speed Low Tempo goes slowest but actions cost 5% less resources (Hp/sp)
This can change combat order, Tempo is selected before every battle, anyone on the same Tempo can post during that time
I.E. If two people are High Tempo ether of them may post before the Tempo changes to the next lowest Tempo
If enemies are on the same tempo a time limit of 3 days is given before the enemy on that Tempo order posts, giving time for the players to post before the Enemy
I.E. If the aforementioned two people on High Tempo don't post for 3 days, then any Enemy on High Tempo with them will get to post, after 1 enemy posts, the count is reset, the count is only reset with an enemy posts. (this is to keep things moving and prevent stalling)
For now he is being helped by an NPC Dee-Dee a Demon Trainer whos Tempo is set in their Stat Spoiler (set to High Tempo) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Girl looked over her shoulder at the one that joined her and she nodded, spinning her spear a moment and ending with a little salute before dropping into a combat stance. | As you can See Dee-Dee has High Tempo while Phanta has Normal Tempo, now again normally this would be done at the START of a dungeon not the fight, this is important to remember o3o/ now the Enemy will have their tempo set - demon:
Enemy 1 - Tempo: Low HP: 75 SP: 60 PEnd: 4% MEnd: 4% Ppstr: 12 Pmstr: 20 Dx: 12 Lk: 18
Enemy 2 - Tempo: High HP: 75 SP: 60 PEnd: 4% MEnd: 4% Ppstr: 12 Pmstr: 20 Dx: 14 Lk: 19
Enemy 3 - Tempo: normal HP: 75 SP: 60 PEnd: 4% MEnd: 4% Ppstr: 12 Pmstr: 20 Dx: 14 Lk: 19
With this done combat can start, The combat flows like this in this case The Ambusher goes first in all cases. there is a 36 hour post rule in effect, if a player doesn't post in that time, then a single Demon on the same Tempo will post, and then the wait time begins again. Example: If Dee-Dee and Phanta and Ally 1 all had the same tempo, and for some reason none of them posted for 36 hours? then one of the demons would get to post a move (if any are on the same Tempo) however if at least 1 of them posts before that 36 hour time limit, then the timer restarts and the other 2 have time to post still without the Demons getting a chance. In the case that for some reason no Demon share the same tempo, once the 36 hours pass for every person in that tempo, (in this case Dee-Dee, Phanta, and Ally 1 didn't post in total for 4.5 days total....) the tempo is skipped and they have lost their turn (this is to prevent stalling the game for everyone) please note this ALSO counts agianst the Demons if the dungeon runner or some other member of staff doesn't post for the demons in that SAME time frame (36 hours for each separate demon) the PLAYERS may have 1 of their members do an action if they are in the same tempo. if you have questions about this please ask them after the Tutorial is over, also after this tutorial is over I will run a tutorial for people that wish to partake in one to get a feel for it o3o/ Tempo -> High Dee-Dee Enemy 2 Tempo -> Normal Phanta Enemy 3 Tempo -> low Enemy 1 With this set up it seems Dee-Dee goes first, this is assuming the party ambushed the demons Dee-Dee is a demon Trainer as such her first summon in a fight is free and doesn't take up her turn ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dee-Dee holds out her spear, and a Waddle-dee pops out of it and stands in front of Dee-Dee ready to fight, the Waddle-dee gives a little salute and prepares. Dee-Dee then looks over the enemy and nods before pointing her spear at one and ice starts to shoot from her spear tip. "..."- Action:

Current Notes: Bass ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Enemy 2 goes next as it is next in the Tempo Enemy 2 uses Tera on Dee-Dee Dee-Dee has Waddle-dee take the Attack for them instead dealing 20 damage before Ends however as the Note leads into a ether a flat or a Switch, the damage is reduced by 10% first resulting in only 18 Damage before Ends Current Notes: Bass - Bass At this point... if Phanta has a Treble skill he can turn this into a Switch and increase his skills damage (if it does damage or Buffs or Heals) by 20% lets see what Phanta does o3o/ | |

| Now that High tempo has no more characters going in this Set, the Set goes to the next lowest Tempo, that being Normal Tempo, continuing as if the Party had ambushed the enemy Anasi goes before Before Enemy 3 ~~~~~~ Anansi smirked as it let out a laugh and launched Lighting at all the enemies present. - action:

Current Notes: Bass - Bass - Treble Tune Activated: Switch (20% increase to effectiveness of skill), Notes cleared Damage from Mazio increases from 10 to 12 before ends due to the Tune activating, this gives a great help to the damage being dealt to all enemies so is quite handy and could become very useful in a pinch o3o/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ With that it is enemy 3's turn Enemy 3 uses bash on Anasi, dealing 12 damage to Anasi before ends Anasi takes 11 damage thanks to his ends Current Notes: Bass ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This would end the Current Tempo as all combatants in Tempo Medium have gone, so it changes the Tempo to Low as enemy 1 is the only one in tempo Low they go next Enemy 1 uses Dia on itself (A treble skill) Current Notes: Bass - Treble After this combat ends for this round, the current notes stay, meaning if the next person uses a Bass skill it will be a Waver and thus have no effects on damage, or they can activate any other skill and not cause any Tunes to activate, this is also an option. I hope this one round in the Tutorial of combat has helped to clarify things. I am now willing to run people through a Tutorial combat if I have enough volunteer's o3o/ to help with the Tutorial I will place the notes for Tunes, and the Skills notes here in spoilers - Tunes:
Playing three notes in a certain order give different effects
"Rising" Tune Bass -> Midline -> Treble last one would get a 10% boost as a complementary beat is made
"Switch" Bass - Bass - Treble the second "note" is weakened by 10% slightly, but the last one is increased more then a "Rising" and in given a +20% boost.
"Waver" Bass-Treble-Bass nice and steady no drown outs but no complementary notes No effects
"Flat" bass bass bass Drowns out and causes the second note to be weakened by -10% and then further causes a -20% reduced effectiveness of skills for last in the order.
"Notes" are considered at the end of the round for Effects
Waver/Flat/Switch notes can be done with different notes
Example of a Switch using Different "Notes" Note 1-Note 1-Note 2
Flat Any of same three notes
Waver Note 1 - Note 2(different) - Note 1
