Usually a hat or beret crowns Mariko’s chest length and slightly curled sky blue hair, oftentimes tied into a side ponytail. Her starry and oceanic blue eyes are bewitching at a glance. To many she is seen as staggeringly beautiful, but she considers herself only mildly attractive. Mariko stands a bit taller than the average Japanese woman, more in line with the average male height. Considering her lifestyle she is particularly fit and athletic, with a svelte body type and fair skin. Do not mention her chest size around her (or she may become offended or loudly proclaim “FLAT IS JUSTICE!”). In terms of clothing she likes many styles and wears whatever she finds aesthetically pleasing, and often paints her fingernails to coordinate with her outfits.

Mariko’s stage appearance is an exact replica of the first uniform that she wore when she catapulted to stardom. It is a plaid gray dress uniform, with a matching crowned beret. The top is a double breasted coat with its sleeves rolled up and cuffed, with a star decorated tie underneath. She wears a star-themed choker necklace as well. A blue belt adorned with a bow and star charms separates the outfit, and a third of her skirt on the left side is a ruffled deep blue plaid. On the back of her skirt is a large ribbon, its appearance meant to mimic stars in outer space. A thigh strap and thigh high black sock covers her left leg, and on her right is a blue knee high. Gold trimmed and blue plaid details cover her black heeled boots. Lastly she wears several star adorned bracelets, and black half fingered gloves.

Personality: Mariko has a bit of a bullish and assertive personality. She enjoys teasing people she likes (more than likely influenced heavily from Shouhei). Being a strong and capable young adult is her priority and she refuses to be looked down upon. Highly competitive, she despises losing, and fights her hardest for victory. These tomboyish traits led to her massive popularity online and in person. Coupled with the fact that her fans and viewers like that Sena isn’t afraid to mention lewd or sensitive topics, and many masochistically ask to be teased by her (amongst other ridiculous requests she refuses immediately, then insulting them in the process). Her voice is smooth and easy to listen to, and she has a habit of enunciating and elongating the last syllable of her sentences, almost making it sound like she’s singing.

Still, there is a humility to Mariko, as she has always seen herself as just a person that got lucky in the industry and online. Ever since her rise to stardom she has always supported her local community, often donating a portion of her profits back to the people. Yet she will always be proud of her accomplishments and keep her head held high; a realism alongside optimism usually sees her through. Otherwise she is normally all smiles and about sharing positive vibes to those around her.

The Potential

Strengths and Weaknesses:

+ Trained in song and dance for nearly all her life, Mariko has passionately worked for her goals. She has both bombastic movement and grace in her dance, an athleticism and agility honed to its peak. Coupled with her lung capacity and voice she is not only an exceptional sounding long distance performer, but is capable of physical feats others wouldn’t normally expect of her.

+ A side not seen by many, Mariko has been informally taught Jujutsu from her investigator uncle, and thoroughly taught Bajiquan from his son and her cousin, a firefighter. She has a remarkable talent with a rope dart and meteor hammer, something she infuses into her dance. While not having applied these talents to actual combat, her sparring and training means she can easily adapt to the situation if need be. Alongside this she has received two years of thorough training by pop diva and Peacekeeper Rhapsody, so her potential is yet to be seen.

+ Unintentionally, Mariko has a habit of disarming those she comes across. Whether through her looks, voice, personality, or a combination of these traits, it more or less befriends and bewitches people around her. She is a people person with natural charm, as evidenced by her idol rise to fame.

- Being so open to people, it can sometimes be easy to sway Mariko. While she isn’t ignorant or completely naive (especially in the idol, music, and entertainment industry), she happens to lend her trust out without much qualms.

- With such a high public image to uphold, anxiety constantly eats at Mariko. Despite her confidence in herself, she often finds it difficult to compare the image the people hold of her to her actual self, and always pushes herself harshly to meet those expectations.

- A dependency on sleeping pills fills the need to tire herself out from constant loops of pressure she places on herself, even if her body is exhausted.

Each can emit a bullet like blast; to reload the drones must recharge and siphon from a battery. Whichever drones aren't firing are capable of combining together to create elaborate images or symbols.

Weapon Description: The very same Soul Bound instrument, Celestial Sphere transforms itself for more direct combat. The head of the microphone enlarges to a massive degree into a crystalline bludgeoning mace. A luminescent and long chain extends from the end of the mace, which Mariko wields much like a meteor hammer.

The History

History: Ever since she could remember, Mariko Masuda has dreamed of becoming an idol superstar. This passionate drive has inspired her in many ways, including a very positive outlook on life. Always sociable and friendly, her charisma has gained her a constant stream of friends and popularity at school, along with above average marks.

However there was one boy that stood out to her. Shouhei Kagawa, always bullied and troubled, constantly getting into fights due to his notorious parents. Mariko was the first to beat him in a fight and from there on the two were nearly inseparable. Her pursuit of becoming an idol influenced him in many ways, let alone her infectious and kind personality. Although he never saw it, his blunt and carefree attitude rubbed off on her.

So invested in her dreams did Mariko start her own channel on the internet- along with her stage name- Sena Hoshiko. By the time she started high school she already had a cult following (with her more dedicated fans dubbing themselves "Nova Knights"); with a shocking amount of subscribers she broke the hundred thousand mark. Still she remained humble and continued to provide her content, with the occasional local performance here and there, becoming a local celebrity in her own right.

During her senior year Mariko was voted in a landslide by her fans to become the newest member of the infamous idol group from Neo Tokyo, NTK 27. An incident would later occur that involved both her and Shouhei, preventing her from a proper joining.

After graduating from high school, Mariko attempted a legitimate audition to the idol group and succeeded. For a year she pushed herself to the excessive demands of the idol group, a task much more difficult than her solo career. Overworking herself to exhaustion, she soon found herself unable to perform, and collapsed during one of the idol group’s many monthly performances.

Among those waiting for Mariko in the hospital was a surprising but welcome sight- the pop diva Rhapsody, also a Peacekeeper- who had helped both Mariko and Shouhei during their incident. The pair of pop stars had always been fans of each other and maintained contact ever since. After discussions with Rhapsody, Mariko decided to become a proper idol and audition to become a Peacekeeper, leading to her "graduation" or resignation from NTK 27. Rhapsody agreed to train her and the duo spent a couple of years simultaneously collaborating on an album while vigorously working towards making Mariko capable of combating and negotiating with demons.

Now prepared, Mariko Masuda hopes to emerge as the newest and brightest star of Peacekeepers, N✪VA.
