Strange happenings? nothing new (Isabelle and Cherry summer event)

Isabelle smiled even more as Cherry was reminding her more and more of her friend "I did it cause yes I actually care, it seemed to bother you and I figured one less thing to worry about would be helpful" she answered giggling to herself at how familiar this all felt, a different girl yes but oddly almost the exact same when angry, it felt really relaxing somehow. "As for why I am smiling you remind me a lot of one of my friends is all, even the way your getting angry and yelling, I can tell you don't mean any of it.. your just frustrated, she did the same thing, and her yelling at me seemed to help her, so I don't mind it.. not like your actually yelling because of me." she said as she stretched a bit.

"Besides like I told her that one time she threatened me... I am pretty sure if it came to blows I can take you in a fight... cause I doubt you would be trying to kill me, and I sure as hell wouldn't be trying to kill you" she said smiling as she bounced on her heels to stretch her legs and get out some excess energy... the action catching the eye of a few passersby.

The bonded teen took a deep breath through her nose and let it out with a heavy sigh. Her grey eyes still glaring at Isabelle. She didn't understand this woman, she could understand being cheery, sure, Cherry herself was a pretty upbeat girl. In spite of all the pain she went through and the hardships living in Paris brought, but she had limits. She would have moments where she would cry, or become somber when alone, and what was taking place right now. Getting angry at her. But Isabelle hasn't really changed her mood since they met other then a few slight moments of worry if the smaller girl said something to out there. Other then that though, she seemed cool, calm, and collected. Eerily so even.......... Maybe this was caused by her demon? Isabelle did say herself that her gloves did effect her in some ways, and that it tried to put thoughts in her head. It wouldn't be out of the question in Cherry's option if this demon was always making her happy, for whatever reason. Maybe so Isabelle wouldn't view the demon's actions in a bad light?

"I do too mean it." She huffed out, like a angry child as she tilted her head away from the older blonde. "Like I said, I am not your friends. I don't think the same way they do and the same things you do that made them happy won't work on me, so just cut it out already." She rolled her eyes and stood back up on to her feet, waiting for her to stop bouncing on her heels, hopefully long enough that would make sure that the strangers walking by would stop staring at her, so she could make a move to start walking away again. However since the younger blondy assumed the older one would be hot on her trail, she began to speak outloud. Not even checking behind her to see if Isabelle was in fact following her as she did. "I have never lost a fight before, and I don't plan on losing any in the future! But you are right, I only kill evil things. I don't think your evil. I just think you're annoying."

Isabelle looked down at the girl, and she couldn't help but see her friend in the girls actions even as she said she wasn't them, her Tantrum was almost exactly what she would do and it only made her smile more, the more she denied it the more she was acting like her and it was funny to her, but it was also good to see that the girl had fight in her if her home was as tough as she said it was. and as the girl said she meant it she smiled even more, oh she heard that before, guess who from? that's right her friend, and as the girl spoke she only smiled. Though hearing that the girl had never lost a fight, that meant she never knew what it was like to fail, well that wasn't good..

"Well if you mean it give it a swing.. though I think you may regret that, as for you not losing a fight, I am not surprised to hear that considering your still alive, if you lose a fight where I am from.. and one of your friends get caught by the government? you may end up fighting them but they will not remember you anymore..." she said as she looked to Cherry "And you might think I'm annoying, and I am sorry you feel that way, but that won't change who I am, or how I act, and that won't stop me from comparing you to my friends, if you have a problem with me comparing you to people I would die for? Then I have to worry a bit about how your friends back were you are from will fare if push came to shove.. want to prove me wrong? Take a swing... or don't and decide to maybe learn something.. you seemed eager to learn from me before, till you got pissy about my comparing your demon arm to my gloves.. and reject it all you want... you can't tell me that thing isn't a demon.." she pointed to her arm "So ether learn to control the damn thing, or have it take you over and make you do things you don't want it to do.. and that you might regret when you regain control.. cause that's what's going to happen if you don't.. Trust me I have seen it before..." she said as she followed along.

The teen cut her grey eyes at the taller blonde. "Don't tempt me." She muttered. Yet another misunderstanding between the two as Cherry took her comment about taking a swing at her and that if she would, that she'd regret the action, as a taunt. Rather then just a warning. And one thing that Cherry did not like at all was being taunted and made fun of, even if she only took those comments as such things. "So the government brainwashes people!? What the hell is wrong with that city?!?" The girl was really starting to lose her cool at this point, she was getting worked up with no chance to get a breather and it showed. She was breathing heavier and she began to twitch and fidget in place. Once Isabelle brought up her friends Cherry would stomp over to her, looking up into her eyes with a intense fury. "Don't you talk about my friends! You don't even know them! I am sure they would help me if I got into trouble and I'd do the same. As for you being annoying, I do not expect you to change! What I except you to do is to leave me alone and stop acting like you know everything about me BECAUSE YOU DON'T!" Cherry's voice was begining to crack with rage, her unstable yelling echoing throughout the ally and rang in her ears, her body tensing up with anger as ever passing second went by.

Cherry's face was turning red as she formed a fist using her right hand, her knuckles turning white from how much pressure she was putting into the action. "It. Is. Not. A. DEMON! How many times do I have to tell you this lady?! There is nothing to lose control over! A-and stop assuming you know stuff about my hody for the last time! Why do I have to keep repeating everything to you! You don't know my body, you don't know me, you don't know how my powers work, y-you......... You! Aaargh!" With a final grunt of frustration she finally let the rage get the best of her. Lifting her foot up, she aimmed for the older woman's toes. Trying to drive the heel of her loafers into her toes with as much strength as her frail body could muster up.

Isabelle smiled as she watched Cherry stomped on her foot, due to her life in the fighting clubs, and thanks to the protections by Astarte the stomping didn't hurt, as the girl stomped she looked down at her and waited for the girl to tire herself out a bit, frustration was something that needed to be worked out and she was letting Cherry do just that, something like this she could handle easily, if the girl took a swing at her with her demon limb? Well, then the fun would start, and maybe it was what the girl needed to do, just work out the frustration of her body being like it was, it was partly the reason she had pushed her, the other reason being she reminded her so much of her friend that she couldn't help but want to work her up.

After a bit she smiled at Cherry "Feeling better?" she asked with a kind smile as she adjusted Astarte on her hands "Or did you need to work more of that frustration out? I don't mind really hun, but I hope you realize I am telling you all this for your own good, if I didn't care hun I would have just left you alone rather then try to help" she said with that same smile on her face.

"Instead of getting frustrated that you are here.. why not just accept you are here for now and work to make yourself Better before whatever caused this sends you back? Wouldn't that be a much better use of your time? How many people are going to be able to help you train to fight? especially when the place is full or resources like food and safe places to rest, and clearly my money is good here, and while you may be able to survive in whatever happened to Paris, and I won't doubt you could do the same here, why waste the time doing that here when you can have that taken care of and dealt with so you can focus on getting stronger... and learning to control that thing that's your arm?" she said pointing to the girls arm.

Cherry wasn't about to stop with one stomp. She continued to grind and slam the heel of her foot on to her toes. The seemingly never ending smile on her face still pissing her off. She just couldn't understand this woman, nothing could break this damn smile of her! Cherry kept stomping her hardest on Isabelle's toes and she didn't even whince! What in the hell was wrong with this woman! After four more stomps to her toes the girl would let out a growl and move back a little bit. Trying to take a breath to calm herself. Cherry's little outburst did help her release some much needed steam. "I guess so." She replied simply. Before blowing through her nose. "I told you before that you do not know what is good for me lady. I am not one of yo-" Before she could finish Cherry would let out a overdramatic sigh before she shook her head. "Oh forget it. You're not going to listen to me."

"I am not going to accept this. If I waste time trying to train here then I will never find a way back to Paris. We've been over this before Isabelle, we have been over alot of this stuff before actually! You keep bringing up the same stuff and I am telling you it is not going to work. For my body, my arm keeps weakening it. It is like a parasite, a tape worm if you will. So trying to buff up my body won't work and I already know how to fight. Like, sure I am not a master of karate or anything like that. But I don't really need to, since my arm, which ISN'T a demon mind you!" Cherry took the chance to throw a glare at her before she continued. "Can handle demons for me. And I imagine that a weapon that can harm demons could also fend off humans just fine. If I really do need to train and learn some karate I am sure one of my friends could teach me it, maybe Retuo he seems like he'd know karate."

Isabelle watched the girl continue on, that smile still on her face, she reminded her so much of her friend, it was hilarious, even the tantrums were the same. With Astarte's protection though she didn't feel a think, she had taken harder blows then this and felt nothing so this little girl wasn't going to be making her feel anything from that, but she also knew that people like her needed to let the steam out, hell Isabelle was one of them, difference was she had an outlet in the arenas, and with the other gladiators after the fact if they were up for it, But it seemed this girl didn't have such luxuries so she let her take her frustration out on her.

"Oh I will listen, just won't change my mind is all hun, I don't ignore people I hear what they say, don't think I am ignoring you hun, I think me sticking close to keep you safe from prying eyes should show you that much" she smiled.

"You keep saying it won't work, but how much time have you taken to try to get it to work hmm? you never told me that, how much days? Weeks? Months? Years? Or did you give up cause it was hard? looking at you I am guessing survival is hard, so find someone that makes it easier.. then take the Time to learn Cherry, you will become so much stronger if you do, and then you can help people even more and kill more demons.. As for your arm" she said looking at it "Sounds to me like you already treat it as something that isn't you.. so why do you hate thinking it's a demon? besides sounds like you Trust it a great deal.. but leaving all the work to it.. ever think maybe.. that's why you can't control it? because you just let it have free reign? As for learning how to fight.. I mean how to make use of that weight to help carry you into another attack with the same arm" she said with a bright smile.

"You can still hear somebody and ignore them. Hearing a person's words is much different then actually understanding what they mean. I think it is pretty clear that you do not understand me."

Cherry took a pause and sucked some air through her unkept teeth. Trying to get herself somewhat calm and collected so she doesn't go berserk again. "Okay first off. I am not quite sure how long I've had this arm for, but I know for a fact that it must have been a couple of years. Also I will have you know that I couldn't always use my arm like this you know. When I first got this I couldn't even move my fingers, in fact you wanna know something? I could barely even move because it was too heavy. Do you know how many hours I have spent in that lab in between all the shots, tests, and surgeries, just trying to get this stupid thing to work? Do you know how hard I worked to move one finger on this thing? And yeah I stopped after awhile, I will give you that. But I got things to do. I am trying to help people and I don't really want to waste my freetime with throwing a butch of stuff to the wall hoping that it works. Like finding new things or making friends. So yes I gave up. But don't you try to tell me that I gave up because it was 'too hard for me' I just have better things to do with my time." After she finished her rant she would soon go into another one.

"Why? Because their monsters, duh. I don't want anyone being apart of my body at all, let alone one that it is apart of a group that is killing everybody and turning them into slaves. As for leaving the work to my arm? I honestly don't care that much, I can move it around and call on it's powers with my cool air. The rest I leave up to it. What's the big deal with that? Besides what you're saying doesn't even make a lick of sense! That is like me telling you that you have no control over your own legs because you let blood pump through it. Finally, I am sure I will learn how to fight better the more I fight. The best training is actual hands on work right?" After she asked her question she'd let out another sigh before she started to pace around Isabelle a little bit. After a few seconds of this she raised her right hand up and shook her head. "Listen, miss Isabelle. I am sorry for yelling at you and hitting your toes with my foot. I-I shouldn't have done that, my mom raised me better then that." Only god know's what her mom would do to her if she found out that Cherry was acting like this.

"But I have a will of my own. I will stand up for myself. And more importantly I will not let anybody act like they know me. I know that you are trying to help, but for the final time. I do not need your help, I do not want your input on the matter. You do not know me nor do I know you. Please stop, okay?"

"The difference between my legs and your arm is that my legs are mine... that Arm isn't your now is it? You were forcing your Will on it before to make it move, you did that.. but then you stopped once it was enough for you, again I don't know how hard life is there, but looking at you it's hard, but if you want a better thing to do with your time, then learn more about that arm of yours, learn to control it better, then you can do so much more then you think... Because if I am right.. and it Is a demon.. if you don't control it and it doesn't want to work with you? then it will take control of you... and it might not care about the people YOU Care about..." she said looking at Cherry "And if your willing to accept that fact that it even might be a risk you need to control.. then your putting everyone in danger by not learning.." she said as crossed her arms.

As the girl started to apologies she nodded "Ah no worries... Astarte grants me protections, so I didn't feel a thing really, that and your rather light so your stomping wasn't much, I could probably take a few hits from that Arm of yours" she said with nod. that Cheerful smile still on her face.

"Never said you didn't have a will of your own, I am saying there is a chance that arm of yours has one too and it's ether hiding it from you or it's currently dormant.. as for acting like I know you and wanting to help you... wouldn't you do the same to someone you didn't know who seemed in trouble? wouldn't you help them?" she asked honestly.

"I see that my point has gone right over your head, hasn't it? Pretty impressive too since your so tall." Cherry said, a slightly amused smirk on her face. "My point is that you do not try and stop blood flow. Trust me I've sat on my legs one to many time's and found out what happens when you mess with that stuff. It isn't nice, your leg gets all tingly like it was struck with thunder an- Wait, wait, wait! I am getting off topic! Back to the point, you do not mess with something that happens naturally. This flow of energy happens naturally. Sure I would like to control it better, but I would rather spend my time doing something fun then to waste it trying random thing hoping something sticks. Like I told you before. Also, I have only had this power for a couple of days. I am sure I will get the hang of it as time goes on." The blonde said before rolling her eyes at Isabelle's comment. "And we are back on the demon stuff. Great, great. I can already feel the headache coming back on!" To try and futher her point she pressed her right hand up against her forehead. "Listen, I am going to play along with your theory. Let us say this is a demon, okay? I have had this thing for years, why would it wait this long to do anything or even talk to me! I know for sure, even if I was planning something evil that I wouldn't be able to keep quiet for years! It just doesn't make any sense!"

"Yes. I would like to help them, but I am not in trouble I am perfectly fine. Also what do you mean 'light stomping?' I was stomping really hard!"

Isabelle smiled "And you don't think learning to control that arm of yours and it's power won't make killing demons easier? Which will then mean you can get rid of more of them.. which will then mean more time looking for cool things and having fun?" she asked with a bright smile, though as the girl was talking about a headache she pointed to her own foot "Well the Pressure relief valve is right there hun feel free to stomp on it if it helps" she said as she then continued with a small smirk.

"As for why it would wait.. maybe it needed something to happen to you for it to start acting up... like you said you haven't been able to do this stuff since recently... so something must have changed easy as that" she said nodding sagely "And don't feel to bad, like I said Astarte grants me protections, and I fight in a underground arena so I am quite used to underhand tactics like foot stomping and things like that, fighting a lot makes you feel a lot more dulled to pain, and again Astarte helps with that considering what kind of Goddess she was once worshipped as" she said with a laugh.

Isabelle had a point. Cherry didn't really want to admit it. But she did have a point, getting all of this under control would probably be the best for her in the long run. And something must have changed for her powers to awaken in the first place. But Cherry didn't want to give this women any ammo to use in the future. She may been traveling with this woman for a long time, maybe even years, and Cherry wasn't eager to listen to the taller woman's lecture her the whole time. "I'll think about it alright. And as for stomping on your foot. I am sure that will be happening quite alot during our time together." She said in a rather teasing voice, trying her best not to fall back into a funk and push past her headache. She wanted to get back to looking for a way back home already but something Isabelle said caught her curiosity. "Underground fighting? Why is it underground? Does everybody down there have powers too or do you guys just think it's cool?" Honestly a underground arena did sound pretty awsome, so she'd believe her if Isabelle told her that it was just because the arena being underground made it cooler.

Either way, no matter the answer. The french teen would give a little nod to the older women would motion for her to walk along side her. "If we're gonna be stuck together for awhile then we should at least start to stock up on food to take back, like you said. Come on, let's try and find a place that sells noodles. I always wanted to try those........"

Isabelle smiled as she walked along with the shorter girl "That's all I ask, just think about it" she said as they went on, then she smiled even more as she was asked about the underground fighting arena "Ah well it's illegal in the City, if it's not controlled by the city government district leaders, then it's Illegal and thus you could be abducted by the people that run the city and made to disappear or worse" she said with a shrug "but it's good money if you take the risk, and it's good fun, at least I think it is, and Astarte thinks so too" she said with a smirk.

Walking along side Cherry she looked down at her, "And yeah... it's kinda cool too" she laughed, and as Cherry mentioned getting food she nodded "Yeah no problem, lets go get you enough food to fill up that bag of yours, and a few others if possible... maybe a wagon or something to help carry more" she said glad she could help in some way.
