Iwaigodai was the perfect area for someone to get a quick feast. The smog covered the skies and protected aerial moving objects, making it perfect for a certain Shadow that had escaped Limbo to prey on the unsuspecting humans in the area. Floating with the use of its head (that was similar to a hot air balloon, except hard and metallic), the Shadow would be holding some sort of heart in its hands. The heart would beat every so often, and when it did, a surplus of humans below would lose their train of thought and become mindless zombies. The Shadow was doing an aerial tactic, draining the psyche of the people within the city, while also draining any power around itself as it floated so freely through the city sky line. Its glowing golden eyes remained fixated on the people below, as it continued to drain their psyche in the dead of night. Only those who had unlocked their potential would be immune to the effects of the Shadows draining properties. What was clear was that Shadows were truly the enemy to humans. They went out of their way to prey on them. Was the food chain in Ueitawa changing so easily? No matter the case, the supernatural being continued to have its fill for the night. It was not yet ready to return to Limbo with such a surplus of victims this bountiful night. Little did the peope know this Shadow had some help coming into the real world by one of their very own.

After receiving the message about the Shadow in the real world, Tsurinai Naito made his way to Iwaigodai almost immediately. He took the bus into the city, and as it was about to stop, the entire vehicle would go dark and the driver would fall into what appeared to be a daze with the other riders. Going from similar information he received, such as when Satoshi Anya was acting similar when she were surrounded by Shadows, it was safe to say the target was near. Though his mind went back to the bus, as it went out of control and slammed into the side of a building at a moderate speed. Luckily the Tsurinai braced himself for impact so he was not injured, nor was anyone else really. With the bus finally stopped, he made his way to the front and opened the door himself. Before getting off, he threw some bus fair into the change area, almost as if he were mocking the situation. Regardless, he walked off the bus and began to survey his surroundings. Apparently that wasn't the only car accident thanks to the Shadow, as many others were also suffering from this zombie trance. How difficult. Looking upward, the Tsurinai would begin to think to himself. From previous encounters, he had learned electronic devices didn't work around Shadows. This meant he had a rough way of tracking the creatures flight pattern from this. Keeping his eyes on the lights of the city, and the direction they were going out and losing power, he could tell by this what direction the Shadow was going, and how fast. Now his best bet to getting to it was using one of the buildings in this city. The rooftop would be the best bet.
Nodding to himself, the silver haired Tsurinai would take off in a low sprint as he'd cut through an alley to save time and start heading to one of the higher buildings that he could use to get to the Shadow's level. Not saying this would be a fast process, but with the use of alley ways and the endurance he built up from the Kendo Club's training regimen, he'd have to buckle down and get it done. Let's just say it took more than just several minutes to reach a suitable building the Shadow was currently floating towards. It took longer to break down the door and make his way up to the rooftop access aswell. After all, he had to use the stairs, not some elevator shaft which he would have liked. Once he finally made it to the rooftop, the young man would take a knee and begin breathing to catch his breath. Beads of sweat came down his head from the extension run, but he wiped his forehead with his sleeve and regained his exposure. From this height, he'd be above the Shadows, which was good. And from what he saw, the Shadow would have been making its way towards the building at any second, meaning he had little time to prepare himself.
Extending his right hand, he'd summon his blade and scabbard. Grasping the hilt of the blade, he'd unsheath it and throw it off the side of the building, now only holding the scabbard in his right hand. Without wasting time, the azure card of the Emperor appeared before him. His silver hues glanced at the card as the Shadow made its way into view of the building. "Huff.. It's time to tear away at this thing. Time to teach this trash what happens when they cross into the wrong territory." Naito mumbled beneath his breath as his gloved hand would crush the card within its grasp. In that moment there would be a swell of power as his persona, Baal-Jinmu, made it onto the scene. Without awaiting instruction, the Persona was already launching itself off the side of the building. In this free fall, it would grab Naito's blade by the hilt in midair, and hold it in a backhanded grip. With a blade in both its right and left hand, the Persona would begin to spin like a helicopter, using the two swords like blades. It continued to spin with high velocity downward towards the floating Shadow, using the momentum provided by gravity and its spinning to propel itself straight into it at high speeds. It was safe to say if the attack was an success, this Shadow would feel it. As Baal neared the Shadow, it extended its arms so when they finally collided, but blades would be jabbed into each of its large round amber eyes at the same time. Naito had decided to go for its sight first, just so it couldn't fly away easily if it were a runner. However, this wasn't the end of the attack.
If both blades were successfully embedded into the eyes of the Shadow or not, the Persona would continue its attack by attempting to headbutt the Shadow into the side of the building so they could start losing altitude. As this all occurred, the Tsurinai stood on the rooftop looking down with narrowed eyes. This was going to be troublesome alone, but this was nothing new to him. This battle would be like all the others, and if he failed, well.. Tch, he wouldn't. He already had back up plans just incase.

As the Shadow continued to float throughout the sky while draining the psyche of those in Iwaigodai, its large golden eyes would look up to see a vibrant blue color upon the rooftop of a building. What came after was an entity falling down from the building while heading its way. The Shadow didn't know what it was, but when it recognized it entity as a Persona, it was far too late. The creature stabbed two blades into its eyes that caused the Shadow to release a loud scream that shook the buildings of Iwaigodai. The scream was loud enough to cause enough the scrawny teenager to cover his ears from the pain. Even after this, the Shadow did not have time to recover as it felt another hard blow upon its head. Though it couldn't see anymore, it could still feel the presence of the Persona-User. That didn't say the same for the surrounding landscapes. The headbutt sent it slamming into the side of a building, causing the said building to crumble and send debris down to the grounds below. The Shadow followed behind its debris, as the second blow had taken the wind from its sails and sent it spiralling down towards the middle of Iwaigodai's streets. With a large boom, the Floating Shadow would have crashed down onto the streets and remained dazed as it let out a howl thanks to its eyes being gouged out. Sadly its little arms couldn't reach its face to remove the blades jammed in them.

The silver haired Tsurinai would not flinch when the Shadow let out its cries. He relished the fact the monstrosity was in pain, and when it saw it smash into the building and continue down onto the street below, his cold silver hues never once wavered. It looked to be stunned, allowing him to switch up tactics temporarily. Raising his left hand, he'd extend out out towards his Persona, which was more that sever meters down and still latched onto the Shadow. Baal-Jinmu would revert back into its tarot card form; spinning above the Shadow. Once this occurred, Naito would clench his fist once again and cause the card to shatter, this time evoking a different than before. His initial Persona, Jinmu-tennō, would erupt onto the scene with sparks of lightning crackling upon its frame. Standing upon the downed Shadow's head, the First Emperor of Japan would grasp its own blade and point it towards the young man standing upon the rooftop above the battle scene. In that moment, an intense aura overcame Naito, empowering him much more than before. The Persona had performed a power charge upon its owner, thus empowering itself for the next strike upon the downed Shadow. Throughout this, the silver haired teen did not move a muscle. He would continue to watch the opponent down below with narrowed hues. Why were these Shadows appearing so frequently now? He had heard of one situation around the school dorms, and now this one aswell? The Velvet Room must have had answers. Maybe it was the fact Limbo was getting stronger? If that was the case, he'd need to go hunt down those deities as soon as possible or things could only get worse.

Yeah, he heard about it; the colossal Shadow causing havoc through the unsuspecting Iwaigodai. The 3rd year got the message in the middle of training. Ironically enough, he'd be doing such regiments within Iwaigodai; something about the darker setting and hard working atmosphere sent his body and spirit into a peaceful scenery state. The Brawler wasted no time; he hastily rushed to the area where most of the commotion came from. Running through the crowed streets of zombie esque husks and discarded vehicles would only be a waste of time and energy. So Cole took another approach, instead of trekking on foot, he trekked on wheels; eight to be exact; four on each foot; rollerblades. The 3rd year was a avid user when it came to skating and it's properties. He zipped through the husks; avoiding them and the empty vehicles altogether. This method of transportation still took some time, that was was for certain. But the amount of time between the skating and actual running would be shaved greatly. The avenue had this very eerie feeling to it; as if something was attempting to "take" something within his possession. Could this have been the Shadows causing? The feeling of having your willpower and life-force siphoned slowly? He spat off to the side as he dismissed the lingering thought; now wasn't the time to worry about things that had no effect on those with the Inner-Power. And besides, if this Creature was left to continue this havoc, All of Ueitawa would become mindless as the lesser Shadows devoured the world as they knew it.
The distinct sound of working wheels echoed through the makeshift battlefield as Cole drew closer and closer. He leered skyward; watching as the target descended through the trademark Iwaigodai smog and down to the littered pavement below. Attached to the grotesque creature seemed to be a warrior clad in armor; a warrior he Cole himself couldn't help to recognize. So Naito beat him here, huh? The kid must have had hell getting down here seeing how this creature didn't only sap willpower and life-force, but also electricity from items within the vicinity. Again, Cole found himself questioning matters that mattered naught. He instantly dismissed the thought and continued his speed towards the descended Shadow. Only reason why a beast like this would descended is if some outside force caused it; this outside force being the underclassmen. So he crippled the giant? Perfect; time to get in a preemptive strike while he still had the opportunity too.
"Lets do this!"
Cole roared; his resolve as a defender causing his Inner-Power to give birth to the azure tarot card. With a half-a-thought, the card crumbled; in its wake an eruption of hell-fire from behind the still skating male. The tactician Gatsuga shot outwards from the pillar of flames. Both Cole and the Deity were heading directly for the still falling creature. The 3rd year leg strides were "empowered" by the motherly flames of the canine; causing each stride to produce fire itself. While Gatsuga merely left cherry blossoms in her wake. However, Cole would stop about thirty meters away from the Shadow while the majestic wolf continued. He may have been arrogant, but he was no idiot. Gatsuga leaped into the sky and began preforming a series of "double-jumps"; again leaving nothing but cherry blossoms petals in her wake. In a matter of seconds, the Persona found itself above the creature. It eyed with steady golden hues, attempting to find some sort of weak point. Then the wolf saw it; twin blades lodge in the eyes of the Shadow. Gatsuga took advantage of this. She descended down upon the hot air-ballon like monster; body spinning like that of a pinwheel. When within the massive blades reach, she'd execute one slash; a new slash that seemed to hold much more power than all her previous ones up until now. The strike would be aimed across the entire face diagonally1. Upon completing the attack, Gatsuga would kick itself off the Shadow and land directly beside her summoner; howling like she tends to do to assert her dominance over all things corrupt. The 3rd year glared up at the underclassmen with a look of determination and companionship.

The Shadow was forceful, pushing itself up from the ground and literally attempting to push the Persona that was standing on its head off. It could not see, but it could feel the presence of another psyche coming near. It could not prevent the next attack that came its way, as a slash was sent across its face that caused it to release another howl. This would not stop the Shadow's ascension, however; as it began to attempt to float back up into the sky, albeit blindly, The Shadow rammed into the side of a building and bounced back like a balloon as it continued its ascension into the sky, attempting to regain itself before its counter attack.

The Tsurinai's silver eyes caught notice of the flaming beast he knew all too well. This meant Barbados had arrived on the scene. Too bad he was not up on the tall building with them so they could synchronize attacks, but that was fine. Naito believe this Shadow had no grounds of surviving this night, and if they continued to constantly attack it, it would not get breathing room to do any major damage to them. "Where do you think you're going?" The Persona-User thought to himself as he extended his left arm once again towards his Persona far below his current position. His initial persona would revert back into its base card form before the card would shatter once again to reveal the form of his prime persona. He was getting used to changing Personas on the fly and in the midst of combat. It was only displaying his ability to adapt to a situation, no matter what it may have been. With his power charged thanks to his previous action, his Persona was also feeling the ample amount of power. It was apparent by the sparks of lightning that crackled upon its body and the aura that resonated around its frame. Not wasting any time, the Persona would launch up to the side of a building and then begin to climb with its hands digging into the wall with ease. Chasing down the blind Shadow, the Persona would launch from the building and reach out for the Shadow's leg. If it successfully grabbed the Shadow, it would give its leg a powerful squeeze, literally shattering the limb. If it missed, it would still follow through with a second attack that was using its momentum to slam its body into the shadow and physically toss it back down into the ground where the flame endowed wolf would be awaiting it. If this second attack failed, the Persona would still continue on to latch onto a building across the street, digging its massive claw like hands into the side of it. If the attack was successful, the Shadow would have went down into the ground hard enough to leave a moderate sized crater. Letting this beast get back in the sky was the last thing the Tsurinai would want to happen here. Naito, of course knew that the damages from this battle would cause an uproar amongst the people of Ueitawa, but Iwaigodai was an area that constantly had construction. It could easily be written off as a construction incident if the right methods were in place, and he'd make sure to put them in place once this battle came to an end.

Perfect, another successful combo of strikes preformed by the entity in heavy armor. The creature fell to the ground in a mighty dive; a dive that rattled all of Iwaigodai while producing a massive crater of sorts. The 3rd year smirked at the sight while the flaming canine stood in a battle ready stance. The tactician contemplated another mighty blow of her own, but then she felt it; the energy of the other Persona-User steady declining to "lower" levels. Normally such levels would mean nothing, but without knowing what this foul beast was truly capable of, it's one risk the tactician did not want to take. So, in a blaze of vibrant flames, she dismissed the massive blade locked in her jaws. She then placed her golden hues skyward; the smog of Iwaigodai blocking out the cosmic ball of gas that graced this planet and howled. The echo of the howl traversed all of Ueitawa and sent of wave of energy and motherly protection surging through all things "good"2. The 3rd year leered at the beast; a little surprised she didn't take this chance to attack, but he wouldn't question it. Instead he'd sense her concern about the big-headed monster and brace himself for what was to come. Hopefully the swordsmen could handle his own up there, because he'd have to do the same down here.

As the Shadow made its blind ascension skyward, it felt a sudden grasp upon its leg. The grasp was strong and powerful, causing the Shadow's small leg to shatter completely, making the Shadow bellow out a howl like no other. These Persona-Users were the true monsters here, and that was obvious. They fought with disregard to their surrounding area or the innocent civilians that could be hurt thanks to their reckless behavior of throwing them around like it was nothing. When the Shadow was forced downward towards the Earth below, it would crash down in the middle of the street. And although it was rare for an innocent civilian to be wandering into the center of the street, the shockwave would still send those mindless fools wandering around off their feet. They'd surely have bruises thanks to the recklessness. But it wasn't like they cared for their fellow man. The Shadow fought its way out the crater it was forced into creating, and its damaged eyes would begin to glow a bright green aura. Suddenly the large head would open its maw and release a fury of winds from its mouth that had two targets specifically: The two Persona-Users. One blast of wind shot up towards Naito, and if it hit it would send him flying off the rooftop and off the side of the building. Though it was a small burst of wind, so it would not launch him, but it would still lift him with some force and throw him off the building and towards his doom. When it came to Cole, the wind would attempt to slam him back into a brick wall with the same force Naito was receiving.

Felling the health wash over him, the Tsurinai would narrow his eyes. It appeared that Barbados was beginning to read battle situations just as good as himself. That was all fine and dandy until the large headed Shadow began to give a weird glow from its destroyed eyes. Suddenly its jaw would open and a swell of wind began to form. Since the Shadow's eyes were already destroyed, there was no reason for the Tsurinai to keep its blade jammed within its massive eyes. So he would flick a wrist and summon it back to his hand as the winds came rushing towards him. Giving a combat roll to his right, he'd dodge the gust of wind and then stab his blade into the building's rooftop for future occasions. Now if a blast of wind hit him, he wouldn't go flying to his doom so easily. This Shadow was rather smart trying to get rid of him in such a way, but it was surely no dice. However the Tsurinai did see his combat partner go down thanks to the wind. To be honest he was rather surprised, since Barbados was faster than him by far. Being up on the rooftop, he could not go down and support him so easily. He'd make the decision to continue attacking, and perhaps he could down the Shadow so Barbados had time to recover his footing. If he failed, well he could always use a Balm of life on him to awake him if he were to be knocked out. So once again the Tsurinai would command his Persona to attack, the Shadow. This time the massive Samurai would send a powerful glow to the Shadow's stomach before taking it into a strangle hold and pinning it back down onto the ground so it couldn't start its ascension again. Last thing they needed was for it to get away.

Even though the Shadow was once again pounded on by the armor clad Persona and pinned to the ground, its large head would lift up and turn 180 degrees, literally putting it on backwards when compared to its body. It was facing towards the dark skinned male before opening its maw like that of a mechanized toy and releasing a more power burst of wind from its gullet. Once again, it went washing over the male attempting to regain his footing, this time slamming him back into the brick wall once again with sharp winds that tore through his clothes and skin. This Shadow seemed to only be getting started as it was not even showing fatigue at this point. The only thing holding it back was the damage to its eyes, yet that could be fixed in due time with a proper healing spell.

When Naito saw call get hit by a second blast of wind, he knew his partner was down for the count. He had two choices here. To continue the fight alone, without tending to the injured tool, or to rescue him and abandon the mission for now. The pale faced boy found himself grinding his teeth together at this most hopeful situation, even when his Persona had the monster pinned to the ground. He shut his eyes and mumbled a curse before grasping the hilt of his blade and running the opposite way of the battlefield, towards the edge of the rooftop. In that same moment, the Persona released the Shadow and shot over to Barbados. Grasping the male in its hand, it'd take him and run into an alleyway too thin for the large headed Shadow to easily follow them through. And seeing how the creature was blind, it wouldn't be able to perform the precise movement through the construction areas to even put up a decent chase. As the Persona made its way away from the battlefield with the ebony skinned man in hand, the Tsurinai traveled from above, using various construction routes that the workers most likely used to move from building to building during their projects. Hopefully the Shadow would go about its way and allow him to make his escape, though if it did proceed to attempt to follow, the Tsurinai was well prepared to lay his life down for his own honor. Running was one thing, but running like a coward was another. This was pitiful and unbecoming for one of his blood line... It was certainly a powerful blow to his pride.

The Floating Shadow would begin to hover upward and back into the sky, collecting the remaining psyche it needed before vanishing it a flash of red light, most likely returning to Limbo. It did not give chase to the Persona-Users who had failed to stop it, as they were nothing but flies at this point. It seemed this Shadow had intelligence, unlike many of the other Shadows that seemed to move and devour on instinct alone.
A mysterious figure watched the two users from an alleyway, pretending to be just another lifeless body but in reality they were fully aware of what was going on. Well, of course they were, seeing how they were the one to release the Shadow out into the streets. As the Shadow and the figures disappeared into the night, the mysterious figure raised their hands and rubbed the back of their neck. It seemed unsatisfied with the result, as if they were expecting the Users to be more of a fight and not so weak. Shaking their head, the figure would disappear into the night aswell.
