Inky blackness covered the sky as the moon hung overhead, casting down a shimmering light upon the dorms. The time had just struck eleven o clock, and most of the students in the dorm were sound asleep. In the first floor lounge sat a lone student, flipping through various pages of a book with a tired expression upon his face. Apparently he had been awake this whole time and lacked the ability to sleep as of yet. Whether it was because he had something on his mind, or was just wide awake, was unknown. Placing the book down upon the wooden table infront of him, he'd grab the remote control to the television and flick it on. Numerous news programs were on; most about the disappearances and some about a weird occurrence that happened at the Casino in Shibakuzoi. Ushering out a yawn, the tired student would lean back into the couch. The light from the moon would shine through the windows of the dorm, giving an eerie appearance to the large home, but nothing unsettling. Though for some reason, cold chills did begin to form on the student's spine as he sat in the dark alone. Little did this young man know that his life was soon to be changed forever in the coming minutes.

Damien sighed, throwing the book to the side. He winced ever so slightly as the hardcover book skidded across the table, not stopping until it tried to fly and found out that gravity was just a bit stronger. Wait, what am I worried about? It’s not like any of these pansies are actually awake to hear that. The question that popped up in Damien’s head was why he was still up. Sure, midnight was nothing to him, but he had been suffering from jet lag ever since he had arrived in Japan, falling asleep wherever and whenever he could- much to the annoyance of the teachers.
Shrugging, Damien hurled himself down on the couch, flipping through the television channels. He groaned slightly when he saw yet another newscast talking about the mysterious disappearance of Anya. Between the constant newscasts and Akira demanding that he find this girl before the police, Damien couldn’t escape her. Shaking his head, Damien shut off the television, bored out of his mind. A cold shiver ran down his spine, forcing him to shake like a dog. “Eugh. I hate when that happens.” Damien muttered to himself. Noticing the cold breeze came in from the open window, Damien rubbed his hands together before putting on his hoodie and walking over to the window.
Full moon tonight. Look out for werewolves, I suppose. Damien chuckled to himself. The Japanese had so many myths, it was amazing that they could go to the bathroom without some kind of demon incense- which was apparently a thing, to Damien’s amazement. Shaking his head, Damien decided that if he was going to be awake all night long, he might as well not feel like roadkill. And besides, a little cold air might be good for me, anyways. Stretching, Damien suppressed a yawn as he sauntered out of his dorm and into the courtyard.
However, the moment that Damien left the dorms, the hairs on the nape of his neck stood straight up, as if he were in danger. Turning around suddenly, Damien balled his fists, expecting a fight- only to find no one there. Shaking his head, he thrust his hands back into their pockets, embarrassed at how jittery he was. Thank God there wasn’t anyone around to see that. The hell is wrong with me, jumping at every shadow? Still, speeding up his pace ever so slightly, Damien crossed the courtyard to the vending machines hidden behind a cranny in the wall. Buying an energy drink, Damien tilted his head back and guzzled it, ignoring the taste. Finishing the concoction, Damien flipped it into a nearby trashcan, starting the long walk back to the dorms. Still, though the moon fully illuminated his path, something felt…wrong.

Komaeda slapped a hand on his face, his fingers leaving his eye along to see. Well, partly see. He was in his bed, actually on top of it, sprawled out in his full uniform. He groaned and sat up, wiping the sleep from his eyes. He looked at his wrist at his watch. Midnight....why the hell was he up? He winced a little as pale light flowed in through his window. He looked up and through it. The moon.....it was pretty eerie tonight.
"Man....it looks pretty. But...." A shiver ran down his spine, as if a ghost ran in through the room and decided to run an ethereal finger down his back to mess with him. He gulped, and put his hands on his knees, using them as support to stand up. He ran a hand through his hair and got his jacket.
He put it on and pulled up the hood, nearly forgetting, only being reminded by the blurry shapes in front of him. He grabbed his glasses, putting them on. His left lense was blocked by his hair. He walked out, looking around. Good thing he brought his jacket because he felt like something was wrong, like something bad was gonna happen. He saw a kid in the courtyard and walked over, holding up a hand. "Hey, you're up this late too huh?"

Kahn was a bit restless this night, but he had no idea why. There were not tests, he had all his homework and reading done, and there was nothing that he had to study for a paper. What was wrong with him tonight? The second year had done everything that would normally put him to sleep, including reading another chapter for his literature class. Needless to say it didn't work, maybe he just needed to exhaust himself physically. Thus he got into some sweat pants, grabbed a nearby jacket and fingerless Reebok work out gloves. The final item he grabbed was his mp3 player, so he could have some music.
Then, he quietly exited his room to avoid waking his roommate before making his way out to the lobby. He looked through one of the windows and noticed the moon. It was rather bright, and the way it contrasted the dark clouds....made it seem different or odd. Maybe it was Kahn's imagination getting to him, but he had a rather dark and foreboding feeling that he could not shake at all. Like something bad was going to happen, maybe he would run into trouble on his run, but if he stayed in the moonlight..well it would be really hard for anyone to sneak up on him. And if trouble came looking for him thinking him easy prey...well that 'trouble' had another thing coming. Little did Kahn know his thoughts really weren't all that far off.
Eventually, he would exit the lobby and enter the courtyard, where he saw two fellow students. He had seen them around before in the dorm and one of them in Kendo club. Surprisingly, they were all around the same height. Apparently, he wasn't the only one being denied sleep either. Perhaps, he would talk to them for a bit before running until he was exhausted, or maybe he would just talk to them until he felt sleepy. Whichever came first would be the one he would go with. Thus he approached his peers with a smile, "So I'm not the only one who can't sleep huh? Mind if I join the club?"

The student that was currently watching television in the lobby watched each of the weird trio make their way out the front door and out towards the courtyard. It was an eerie night, but apparently they thought it was a grand idea to go outside. Man some people were just really strange, if not kinda dumb these days. The student would sigh before standing up from the couch and opening up the front door. Spotting the trio of students, would lift his hand by his mouth to try and throw his voice towards them. "OI! It's almost midnight, you CAN'T be out there at this time. Get back in here before the dorm mother chews all of us out! Don't be dumb!" The boy yelled loud and clear so each of them could hear him. Once getting the message across, he would place a hand on his head and give a tired sigh. He wouldn't get chewed out because of them, hell no. Standing at the door, he'd cross his arms and wait for them to begin their way back towards the entrance.
As he watched them, something felt slightly off. It was almost like a headache, or a wave of pain coming over his body. He curled over in pain as he grasped his head with both hands and let out a grunt. In this moment, the power within the dorm suddenly began to fail, as the lights and even the television suddenly flickered off. The only thing emanating any sort of light would be the full moon overlooking the area this specific night. This individual student continued to clench his hands upon his head in pain while his eyes became blood shot and almost appeared to burst out from his skull.

Damien shrugged as some kid with glasses approached him. Stifling a yawn, Damien rubbed his eyes, trying to rub the sleep from them. Now would be a wonderful time for that energy drink to kick in. Damien thought sourly. However, when his fellow student posed his question, Damien shrugged and at least tried to answer with courtesy. Nodding his response, Damien decided that he at least should offer some kind of explanation. “Yeah. Frickin’ jet lag has knocked me out for the past week, but now it’s apparently decided that sleep is for the weak." Shaking himself like a dog as yet another winter breeze managed to get its finger under his coat, Damien blew on his hands to warm himself up.
But lo and behold, before Damien could think or say anything else, yet another student approached them, this one with red hair. Probably a foreigner… that, or he has some serious hair-dyeing bills. Still, despite his internal debate, Damien was at least able to treat his fellow insomniac with some kindness. Maybe he was just too tired to get annoyed. “Why the hell not? It’s not like we can kick someone outta insomnia- though I wish ya could. The name’s Damien Lier. Nice t’ meet ya.” Checking his watch, Damien sighed. “Gah, this sucks. There’s an energy drink machine back there if you want a pick-me-up. I’m gonna head back in I guess, maybe read a book for once.”
But then one goody goody two shoes decided to yell at him, and that rather changed his tune. “Hey, screw you, ya bastard! We get chewed out, it’s only because your dumb ass decided to start screamin’ in the dorm’s doorway! If you’re that worried about your own skin, crawl back into your bed and hide under your covers. Try not to piss yourself from fear!” Damien gave the obnoxious student the single finger salute before beginning to turn away. However, even in his anger at the student, Damien couldn’t help but feel worried when the boy clutched his head and began to scream in pain. “Oh, shit.” Damien muttered before running over to the afflicted student.
“Hey man, what’s going on? What happen- oh, hell.” Damien whispered, seeing the student’s face. His fear was magnified when he saw every single light shut off. Normally, Damien would just mark it up to terrible wiring in the building, but somehow this seemed far more sinister. “What the hell is going on here?” Damien whispered softly to himself. His hand slowly drifted to the knife he had ‘acquisitioned’ from a gangster in Nadashiki, hoping the steel would give him some sense of comfort. "H-hey! Someone call for an ambulance! Quick!" He roared back at the group.

A long day of helping out my parents was coming to a close, the clock on the wall pointed that out literally since it was nearing eleven o'clock. The moon was full, a beautiful sight to behold as I exited after saying goodbye to my parents and my cousin that had stopped by. My watch hit eleven o'clock, and I realized I was in some deep doodoo when I returned. Unless I could sneak in of course, but I had no cardboard box sadly. Approaching the entrance to the courtyard, watching for anyone who might be coming, I noticed some kids in the courtyard, one of which stood out as my roommate. Didn't these people know the rules about curfew and all that? However, I didn't have time to talk since I was breaking it too, but maybe Kahn could have helped me if he was in the room.
Arriving at the entrance, the lights in the area flickered off, which seemed odd. I attributed it to a power failure and opened the gate quietly so as to not make noise before closing it with the same amount of silence. It was always a silent night whenever it was like this after my parent's house, especially with all the noise at the house. After it was closed, I tiptoed across to the crowd gathered outside to wonder what they were doing. "Its curfew! What are you guys doing? Especially you Kahn!" I spoke in a whisper, loud enough for them to hear so nobody else would hear me. Of course, this was a bit hypocritical, but I had a reason as to why I was missing it because of my parents. I stood their, waiting for an answer from at least one of them, maybe two if Kahn doesn't speak first.

Cyril had decided to walk to his dorms for the weekend. His home was empty, and he felt like having some company after recent events would do him some good. It was very late at night, as he had to go home to grab some things to take to the dorms for the weekend. He did notice that the moon had an eerie shine tonight, a bit similar to a certain night when something that happened to him, but he paid it little mind. He would go onto campus and walk into his dorm, setting his things down. The walk itself was relatively relaxing, and kept him to his thoughts. As if there weren't enough to keep him thinking. With all the things that had been happening with his friend Salmane, his recent events with a Kogami Shibuya and Kahn Azame, his mother now at the hospital from being attacked and brought into a coma. His train of thought was lost regarding those little tidbits when he looked out seeing a peculiar gang of people there. He only recognized two people there.
He saw Kahn, a man that he probably could have met on better terms. There was no doubt in his head he was either suspicious of him, not very trusting, or out for his blood. The guy intimidated him enough even knowing Cyril himself had his own abilities to use. But the man was like him, a goody two-shoes and he could see himself trusting him. The second man he didn't know per se, but he did recognize him from a restaurant that he had went to not too long ago. He was around when the same Kogami had been harassing her, and caused her to leave the place. And regretfully, that had been weighing on his heart as well, learning that she had now gone missing, and he may have been able to prevent it if he just looked for her after she left. But he kept to himself going home thinking it all would be well. It bothered him how naive he was before he got his Persona, so much in fact that even as he decided he would go outside to talk, his face became a little hot with frustration at himself. He almost threw a fit and threw his bag at the wall of his dorm thinking about it all before going down.
When he walked to the front door, he had calmed down a bit, walking outside to see the group up more closely. He saw two other guys, one being a guy around his size, and very...stoic looking if he could say that? He had grey hair, and a pale face. The other man was taller than him as well, with blond hair, and seemingly thick with either fat or muscle, probably the latter. Nonetheless, he would not make an entrance of himself, as he walked towards the group looking at them both. He would most likely turn to Kahn saying hello, since he was the only person there he really knew. "Hey, Kahn," he would say, in a normal, content voice. He would look at the others not really saying much, hoping they would start the conversation for him. He would at least hope that much until he heard a person come from the front door shouting a bit.
He would look at the man who threw profanities at the kid. Sure, being reminded of the rules when he so clearly knew them by someone of his own age may have bothered him, but the possibility was ruined when this other man seemed to make a statement as though he may be trying to antagonize a fight. "Cmon dude calm down," Cyril would say. He didn't like the guy, but if there was ever a chance to make friends with him, or avoid any conflict, this would be the moment. "Worst case scenario we can all just go out somewhere, and that really wouldn't be bad," Cyril said chuckling a bit. He wouldn't mind the idea, in fact he might do that himself before coming back. However his head snapped to the boy as he saw him take a very sharp, very sudden change.
He suddenly grasped his head in pain and practically doubled over at it all. His scream was practically a mix of grotesque pain and horror, which made his chest seem to tense up. He was worried about him already when he saw the electricity fail all around him; that is, except the moonlight which shined, in an all too familiar glow. "Motherfucker..." he would mumble to himself; whether other people would hear or not didn't matter at this point. He would walk a few paces towards the boy calling out to him. "Hey! Are you alright?!" he would shout. He knew it was futile. If he was anything like his mother, it would end poorly for him. Was he thinking too far ahead? Was he being paranoid? In any case, he would walk a bit closer, and closer to the boy, now being around the midpoint between the group at the courtyard, and the boy, ignoring what the others would do, unless they knew what to do. He would stop immediately once he clearly saw his practically red, bulbous eyes, actually seeing the spherical shape that the eyes made, which was not good to see. He would hold his ground, looking back at the group to see what they were doing. He would then look back at the kid to see what was going to transpire next.

The taller and muscular blond was the first to greet Kahn, and introduced himself as Damien Lier, "Nice to meet you Damien, I'm Kahn Azame." As the second year introduced himself, he would offer a smile to the brawler. Damien made a comment about an energy drink and going to read a book, but Kahn simply shrugged, "Nah, I'm honestly not one for energy drinks, though I wish you luck with your reading. I tried to read the most boring literature book I had and I still didn't pass out. So I'm going with my final resort, running myself to exhaustion, and then passing out on my bed. I hope you fall asleep sooner than I do."
The red haired young man was about to ask the paler individual his name, when suddenly he heard his name. He turned to see a familiar face with heterochromia, or two eyes of different colors, approaching him. Granted, Kahn was still suspicious of the fact Cyril ran off without answering his question. However, being aggressive or rude to the third year would not help him in anyway, and he'd be going against his favorite motto if he struck against Cyril. Therefore, the third year had absolutely nothing to fear. Instead Kahn would smile at him and wave before responding, "Hey Cyril, what keeps you out so late?" The best way to have Cyril finally tell Kahn the truth would be kind and slowly build trust. Eventually, even the third year would see that Kahn wants to know if he can help people.
When suddenly, another student came out and yelled at the group of insomniacs. 'The Avenger', as some in his hometown knew him, would scratch the back of his head, while Damien threw out a retort. It seems as though he had the bark to back up the bite, if his muscles spoke for anything that is. Cyril on the other hand tried to calm Damien down a bit before anything really serious broke out. Kahn would turn to face the student who shouted at them and simply reply, "We're outside the building, and chances are we aren't going anywhere. I doubt there is any harm with us just standing out here."
Then the student who had yelled at them fell to his knees and was holding his head in agony, and suddenly all the lights went out. Leaving only the haunting moonlight to lighten up the area. Kahn could have sworn that he felt a cold chill travel up his spine....he suddenly had a very bad feeling that something was about to happen. Damien was the first to move to aid the student, while Kahn was distracted by the arrival of his roommate, "We're just all having trouble sleeping and we're just outside the dorm. No one is going to get hurt, but I think we have more pressing concerns." he replied while pointing a finger at the student who was clutching his head. Moments later Damien ordered someone in the group to call for an ambulance, and Kahn had whipped out his phone. He pressed the power button to bring up the home screen.....but it wouldn't turn on. He tried again....still nothing, but he had charged it.
The feeling he had before just got much worse....much worse. He felt like he was running out of options very very quickly. "You all try your phones, mine isn't working." He told the others before rushing by Damien, Kahn only had a little idea about the human body. After all in order to be a part time fitness trainer he had to know how the human body worked and how to maintain a balanced diet along with nutrients. The first thing he noticed was that the student was obviously suffering headaches or some kind of pain, but the more disturbing thing was his bloodshot eyes that seemed about ready to burst. The red haired second year quickly racked his brain to see he had even the vaguest idea of a disease that had those symptoms. Aniema, lack of iron could cause the headache and bloodshot eyes, or maybe he injured his head recently and he was just feeling the swelling?
"Hey, listen to me, I know you're in pain, but I need you to try and respond to me as best as you can. Have you injured your head recently? Are you on any medication, if so can we get to it?" Kahn asked the student, granted the second year was no doctor, but unless any of the others had more medical knowledge...he was this students best shot until the professionals arrived. "Also I need you to take relaxed deep breaths, and try to calm down." The more relaxed the student got the better Kahn would be able to help him, and then inform the professionals of the situation once they got here.

Noticing a others, the small group started getting larger. Apparently people had also had a strange reason to come outside....Suddenly, another student called over, telling them to go to bed it's late. [ir]'Then why are you up? You're just as bad as the rest of us.'[/i] He sighed and was about to call over before he noticed him double over in pain. What.....what's going on? Is he okay? When he looked at them again his eyes were bloodshot, almost pure red. He gulped and started to walk over, but another kid walked over instead. He didn't get a chance to hear the others' names or ven voice his own. But something.....felt off. And it had to do with the moon. He knew, from class, that the moon pulls on the blood, causing some people to go insane on nights like this. But....this isn't insanity, this is almost like his head is going to explode. And the moon....had this strange kind of light. When he took out his phone and tried it, it didn't work. But it was just on the charger. As he looked up he noticed that all the lights were off, maybe they were before and he just didn't notice. He gulped a bit and slowly got closer to the man. "Uh guys.....you don't think he's going like, insane right? I mean, it IS a full moon and all....So, be careful around him, we can't tell if he's gonna attack us or something." As he got closer, his stomach started getting tighter. Something bad was going to happen, he could feel it, like he always could.

"G-get the hell away from me!" The student would clutch his head with his right hand while swing his left arm to push Kahn away from him. In this moment he lost all motor functions, causing him to suddenly stumble down the stairs that lead up to the dorm's entrance, and onto the sidewalk below. Continuing to clutch his head in extreme pain, he began to give another yell. However, something was extremely different about this one. It sounded more drowned out and muffled, as if he were choking or drowning on a liquid of some sort. He would begin to start vomiting a black, inky substance from his mouth with painful moans. The pool of darkness seemed to never end and resembled what could be described as a tar like substance. It wouldn't end here, as things began to get even worse. The tar like liquid began to leak down the boy's face, coming from his eyes at this point, and spreading down his face out of control. The student could only clutch himself in pain as the black liquid began to escape out his pours next, literally covering his body in the black substance. With one final pain filled scream, he fell forward face first and his body was completely swallowed by the black inky mass. All that was left was a poll of blackness that seemed to grow and grow. It shifted and moved, giving signs of being alive, before starting to forcefully churn. Slowly it lifted from the ground and hovered in the air, attempting to take a physical form, as it slowly continued to hover upward. In a sudden burst of speed, it shot into the sky and went towards the dorm rooftop with full force. Like a ping pong it appeared to bounce off the sky and shot down onto the dorm's rooftop with a powerful collision. The collision was easy enough to cause the dorm to shake, almost as if an earthquake had just occurred. Anyone within the dorm could easily feel it, though little did the unsuspecting students know that the majority of their fellow dorm mates were lulled into a mindless state.
There were few signs that a Shadow was near. One, all power from electronic devices were drained in a two mile radius of the Shadow's location. Two, those who lacked the potential were lulled into a mindless state where the Shadow could easily feed on their minds. It went without saying that these remaining students who were active at this time had the potential, and thus that made them threats for the Shadow. Perhaps since they were all gathered in one area conveniently, it figured it'd be able to devour each and every one of them at once. Regardless of this, the students would have time to think, as it'd be apparent that the black mass that flew to the rooftop had left something behind. A slightly smaller puddle of darkness located infront of the dorm, most likely separated from its main body, began to shift and split into six smaller puddles. The puddle began to change forcefully, growing two appendages that stretched out of its inky blackness, and a purple mask that held empty eye holes. These supernatural entities would give a blank "stare" towards the students before giving a gurgle and forcefully digging their claws into the ground. Suddenly they would begin to drag themselves towards the students forcefully with the intent to kill. They would be open the students in only a few seconds, giving them some time to react and make their decisions on what to do.OoC: Choose your own battle theme. Your next post should involve hearing your Persona calling out to you, however; it will not be summoned until the Shadows actually attack and force it out.

He would smile at Kahn. 'Good thing he hasn't killed me yet'
he would think to himself. "I like being out late. Gives me something to do,"
he would say. After Kahn mentioned something about staying here he shrugged. They could all probably goof off there as well. When he saw the kid scream he would not check his phone as Kahn asked, cause he knew what was the result of it all. In fact, Cyril was positive that they were all in danger, whether they could do what he did or not. He saw Kahn had tried to speak to him, and he looked back at Kahn thinking hard on what to say. "Kahn wait!"
he would shout warily before looking at the boy who was now screaming at Kahn, trying to get him away. It was not getting any better, as Kahn was now way too close to the boy, with all these other people, and some Shadow could be nearby. But no, what happened next was arguably worse.
The boy had fallen over, and gave a noise that had a noticeable shift in tone, well actually, it sounded as though he was drowning out. He began to spill up from his mouth a black ooze, which did give him pause, giving a slightly fearful face. This boy was clearly not in a good state, but he was a bit afraid to walk to him, for if he was right, he knew what would happen next. The black ooze kept growing more and more as the boy was screaming futilely to it, before ultimately falling into it and being consumed by it. He saw the ooze transform and take shape, but before it could have a definite form, it flew to the top of the dorm, literally shaking the ground when it hit the roof. Cyril stumbled slightly clearly not expecting the Shadow to have the power that it did. "Whoa! The hell...?"
he would say looking up at the rooftop trying to gather what shape it had turned into. But looking back down, he saw not all the ooze had left, and was already taking shape into multiple different Shadows, just like his own Awakening. 'Shit. They all need to run...'
he would think. But would they? Furthermore, even if they did, would they even make it out alive? As much of an optimist as he was, he knew there was nothing but dread coming from the Shadows, they practically wore it on their bodies.
He would try to get their attention anyway, moving a bit closer towards the Shadows, but not close enough for them to strike while calling out to them. "Guys! Find a safe place! You need to understand, trust me!"
he would shout. He never intended to gauge their responses, cause he was sure his cry was on deaf ears. Either way, he had to do something and hit one of them. If any of them were like him, they would Awaken to a Persona very very shortly. But unlike Soki Tsurinai's situation, she killed both Shadows expertly, but she was not only not here, there were also six Shadows. If he didn't go through with summoning his Persona, he and the others may die, and if he did, they still had a chance to die, but at least he could stop it. He didn't think twice. A blue azure card flew down seemingly from the sky, over his left hand now held out. He looked at the Shadow that he thought he could hit the easiest, and brought his fingers into a fist, crushing the card to the sound of broken glass. "Persona!"
he would shout. He didn't think why he didn't shout its name, maybe it just felt like he had more contrast to the Shadows.
Behind him gusts would come, gently blowing over whoever was behind him, and soon, the same white angel-like being that he knew all too well would appear behind him; Aurai, ready for battle. But he started to think as quick as he could. 'Whether or not they Awakened, what if they couldn't battle? That may mean I have to take on these Shadows by myself...'
he would think. Without looking to the people behind them, convicted to protect them, he would bring his left hand out, as his Persona did the same, floating in a stance similar to Cyril's own. Maybe if he got one to his side this would not be so hard. And he thought he had an ability like that, but up until now, has not tested it. A pink mist would cover one of the Shadow's attempting to charm them to his side, maybe then it could help turn the tides of the battle. Were it to work he would stand in place. If not, he would back up slightly preparing for the next attack as his Persona stood behind him in wait for battle. He would call out again to Kahn trying to get him to back up. "Kahn! Get out of there!"

Damien snarled as the strange student pushed Kahn away. “Move. Now. Something’s wrong.
” He hissed, clutching at the knife in his pocket. His fears were only confirmed when the student began to exude living tar from every orifice, the resulting conglomeration consuming the student. Holy shit, gonna have nightmares about that thing for a while.
Some (ir)rational part of his brain thought, before being promptly told to shut up by all the screaming parts. “Get back!
” Damien yelled, attempting to pull Kahn with him even as he himself warily stepped away from the amorphous, onyx blob. “Run? Where the hell are we supposed to run? We’re surrounded!
” Damien cursed, as he slowly escaped the circle of slime.
Unfortunately, while Damien was wise in backing away from the supernatural slime mold, the universe did not want to reward him for such careful behavior, and thus sent one of the tar heaps racing towards Damien. Seeing the claws, Damien reacted instinctively, ducking one and kicking another away. All the while, Damien felt his anger rising, and his blood sang out for violence. Crush. Kill. Slaughter. Burn. Destroy! Lay waste to thy enemies. Merely call my name. I am thou, and thou art I…
Failing to recognize the strange voice floating in his mind, Damien had more pressing matters to deal with.
The most pressing was the fact that the creature had managed to morph around his leg, catching it. Thinking fast, Damien whipped out the knife in his pocket, scything through the relatively thin arm of the creature. While this managed to get the… thing off Damien’s leg, it left Damien off balance, and didn’t seem to hurt the creature at all. In fact, the part that was hacked off simply flowed off Damien’s leg, then crawled its way back to the primary body. Worst of all, that primary body seemed ready to attack once more. Oh…shit
Damien thought, bracing his body as well as he could for the ensuing blow.OOC: Nyar, I hope you don’t mind the bit I added about Damien attacking. It seemed in character for him, and since he has no soulbound weapon to attack with yet, he did no damage, so I thought it was alright.

After he took a few more steps forward. He heard the man scream again. A drop of sweat slid down his cheek. He chest began getting tighter, making it quite hard to breathe. He took a deep breath and nearly gasped as black tar began drooling from the student. H gagged lightly, moving back and slipping. He fell, landing on his ass, sending a light shock of pain through his body. He hissed and continued to push himself back. He noticed it move and kept following it with his eyes, not stopping at all. But, once it landed again, he noticed they were surrounded by black, crawling blobs of tar. There was no where to run. "What....the...hell?" He squeaked those words out before a light throbbing went through his head. He placed the palm of one of his hand on his temple, closing one eye. He thought he heard a sound, a voice maybe, but ignored it. He shook his head, got up and ran into the moonlit area. He noticed one of the things grab a student, and he felt like he had to do something. But with what? He had no weapons, or anything. If he even had his bokken he could do damage....But he didn't carry one with him, they were property of the schools kendo club. He clenched his fists and grit his teeth....Damn, he couldn't do anything. He was powerless....
"No...you are not powerless....simply call my name...I am thou...thou art I..." Komaeda gripped his head again, a throbbing hitting once again. He knew] he heard a voice this time. But....call it's name? He didn't even know what it wanted, who it was, and it expected him to know it's name? He shook his head again, he had to focus. He gulped and began thinking of what to do, keeping eyes on all of the onyx colored blobs, and the kids. One thing was for sure. Those masks scared him to no end.
