The Biography
|
Birth Name: Nakahara Hibiki (Last, First) Aliases: N/A Gender: Male Age: 18 Birth Day: 12th June Arcana: Temperance Place of Residence: School dorms School Year: 3rd year Class: 3-A
After School Club: Anime Club
Part Time Job: N/A
Appearance:
Hibiki is the average teen guy, standing at 5'5 (170cm) and weighing 143 pounds (65 kg). He's got short, inky black hair, that is slightly wavy. Sometimes it can appear a bit messy, but people say it suits him, and thus he leaves it that way. In contrast to his black hair, his eyes are a vibrant blue, and can seem a bit out of place. He gets asked if he's wearing contacts a lot, as people with dark hair tend to have dark coloured eyes as well, but rest assured, he is not. He is often seen with an indifferent expression, but he usually puts on a more friendly face when conversing with others. Hibiki is not a muscular type of guy, yet he's not a complete noodle either. Something like the golden middle road, really.
Hibiki isn't a fashionable guy, and prefers to stick to clothes that he knows he feels comfortable in. His usual outwear consists of a plain pair of blue jeans, a blue/white striped turtleneck sweater or just a bluish T-shirt if it's warmer and the somewhat 'iconic' white jacket with a hoodie that has extensions that resemble bunny ears. It is very rare to see him not wearing his jacket, it's like the piece of clothing is glued to him. His choice of shoes varies slightly, but mostly he wears black ones. When in school, he wears the specified school uniform, sometimes adding a white/blue striped tie to it. And, of course, he wears his jacket on top of it, no matter the weather. The teachers had already stopped bothering and let him have it that way, as he never listened when told to take it off.
At a first glance, he looks like a generally friendly guy. Many think that he's kind of childish, in concern of his clothing choice. Because, obviously it's not an usual occurence for an 18 year old teen to wear a jacket with cute rabbit ears. Hibiki insists on wearing it, no matter what, though.
Personality:
In general terms, Hibiki could be described as the always friendly guy, who can get along with everyone, tuning in with ease. Unless there's a dire reason, he never turns down a friendly chat with whoever and he goes out of his way to please those he gets acquainted with. He tries to look at things from the angle of the person he's speaking with, so rather than putting down someone who appears to be bad by the way he/she acts, he chooses to go along and see their perspective before judging them. Which usually means, that he will pretend he's interested in the stuff they talk about or do, even going as far as agreeing with their statements. He will keep his real thoughts to himself, until he makes a solid picture of the person and sees it fit to tell the truth of his feelings about them.
With his pretend 'act' in motion, it is hard to see his true personality, as he shapes his reactions to reflect others'. No one is really sure, what he's truly like on the inside, because if you were to ask a number of individuals that have come across him, they'd most likely give different answers on the subject. The fact that Hibiki doesn't reveal very much in his expressions isn't helpful at all. He doesn't show his true colors, until he thinks it's time for it. The amount of time it takes varies with the person involved, though. Yet, when he does, he's pretty intense. He can and will make his point clear, and isn't likely to be swayed anymore.
When it comes to batlles, he prefers to get things over quickly and avoid any unnecessary killing, as he does apparently think that every person is important and could do big things. Letting them die would be a waste, afterall they might be the ones that will save the world one day, who knows? This is one of the reasons as to why he wants to know everyone well. He likes seeing the differences between individuals and what can they achieve with their mindset.
Hibiki won't try to avoid anyone, instead he'll face every new person head on, attempt to befriend them and play nice. Basically, this way, he can postpone any and all conflicts that could arise, until he's ready to deal with it.

The Potential
|
Strengths:
—Strength Name: Swift Mind —Description:
Hibiki is a quick thinker and tends to process information faster than people usually do. While others are still just registering what has been said or done, Hibiki already is in the middle of or done with sorting the situation out. This is mostly apparent in instances like when there's a logical problem or anything that needs to be solved. With his fast thought processing, he's practicaly always the first one to offer a solution or something useful in regards to the situation.
—Strength Name: Adapt Specialist —Description:
Directly linking with his quite diverse personality, Hibiki is pretty much capable of adapting himself into any and all situations. When a topic that he knows nothing about comes up, he can easily smooth it up and look like he's completely comfortable in such a conversation. He can melt into various scenarios with ease, not seeming outwardly bothered even by stuff he does not particularly like on the inside.
—Strength Name: Take It —Description:
Basically, Hibiki willingly takes any crap that others throw at him. Be it verbal assaults, or just simply people being mean and generally not nice. He will not get upset when someone insults him, nor will he back down from a threat. He's literally like a wall that can take almost any bullshit that gets thrown at it and even offer a friendly gesture in return as if he was actually recieving a compliment.
—Strength Name: Persistence of Memory —Description:
Hibiki has a very good memory, and can remember even the smallest details of what happened, whether it was a week or a month ago. If asked he could even pull out exact quotes from conversations that took place in the past, which others had probably already forgot about. For Hibiki, this presents a handy skill when it comes to school and studying, as he can remember what he needs really quick, and has no need to waste time just to get good grades.
—Strength Name: Piano Play —Description:
When Hibiki was younger he attended piano classes, and he still plays it even now. Those who hear him play always say that he's got some 'mad skills'. He's efficient and can play practically anything that is possible to do on the piano. Back then, he even tutored others when they needed help, or just wanted to learn. While he doesn't have so many opportunities to practice since he moved, he still tries to get at it whenever he can.
Weaknesses:
—Weakness Name: Not That Way —Description:
While Hibiki has no troubles when it comes to fighting shadows and others' Personas, he's wary when it comes to opposing humans in battle. Kicking butt of monster-like creatures doesn't bother him, but for some reason he hates having to injure other human beings. It's not that he won't when pressed, but he's likely to hesitate and give his opponent an opening to attack. This could bite him hard, when presented with shadows that take on a human appearance as well. At least until he figures out that those aren't human at all.
—Weakness Name: Dark Side —Description:
The way Hibiki interacts with others does infact affect him, even though it is not apparent to those don't know him inside and out. It is well known that he goes out of his way to match with anyone and everyone, not really showing what he truly feels and thinks about the situation on hand. He won't say that something bothers him aloud, but it still IS there and it piles up. When there's too much, he can get incredibly depressive for a small period of time, and when in that state of mind, he doesn't do well neither with interactions nor in battle.
—Weakness Name: Flip Out —Description:
This ties in a little bit with his hesitation when attacking humans. Because along with that, Hibiki hates seeing others get wounded by enemies. This is one of the few things that can make him loose his cool and behave recklessly, trying to keep those on his side uninjured, not really taking his own wellbeing in mind.
—Weakness Name: Till the End —Description:
While he's not the type to reveal his intentions or what he himself actually wants, there's always a time when one has to act out of their own volition. And when such happens, and Hibiki actually states that he wants it THAT way, he won't back down, even if he had to die for it. If we put it simply, it can be said that he's unbelievably stubborn, when he actually does something he wants, but the extreme way he goes about it, is often a big setback.
—Weakness Name: No Pain, No Gain —Description:
In any kind of battle or just a simple fight, most of the time, one could assume that Hibiki doesn't have the word 'Dodge' in his vocabulary. For unknown reasons, he almost never dodges when someone assaults him, and if he can't block the incoming attack, he simply takes it, not even considering the option of side-stepping. With this policy of his, he can get hurt a lot when he gets into a brawl.

The Background
|
History:
Hibiki was born into a quiet household, his parents spending most of their time at work. While they had someone watch him when he was very young, around the time that he learned how to speak, they decided that it cost them too much money to hire a caretaker and so, Hibiki spent most of his childhood alone at home. His parents rarely played with him as they came home late, exhausted from work and were in no mood for fooling around. At first, Hibiki felt pretty lonely, but he's grown accustomed to it in time, as he didn't have much choice in the matter.
When he started school, it was pretty much the first time he got to spend time with anyone. The kids made fun of him, as he was quite shy, not knowing how to interact with his peers. At first, he denied that it bothered him and instead spent time on activities that he could do on his own. Later on, he realised that being a complete loner is a sad way to live and started going around and making friends, often trying way too hard.
Hibiki didn't stay at home very much anymore, as his parents still remained the same, as in, not very interested in what he's doing. They drifted apart and Hibiki opted to hang out with other teens whenever he could. This progress of things inspired him to move away for school, where he wouldn't have to face the almost depressing mood that often made a home when he was with his parents. While he had the option of renting himself an apartment, he decided on school dorms instead, as it presented more company, so he wouldn't have to be alone.
