It was the late afternoon, almost evening. The tiled roofs of Little Tokyo made the entire part of the city the same red shade of the sunset. Off of the main strip between major parts of the district sat a two-story building. Little Tokyo Textiles was half business and half home. Samples of silk and other materials lined the walls. A few suits and fine dresses were on display in the front window and throughout the shop. The majority of the area was an open floor. A few doors off to the side were closed off rooms for measuring and trying on clothing.
At the counter sat a girl in her mid-teens instead of the older woman that normally did. Yanagi was sitting there due to her mother not feeling well and her father being on a trip. As much as she didn't want to be there, someone had to. It wasn't that she didn't want to help the family business. As much as she disliked having to sit behind the counter there was something worse to her. Dealing with people just wasn't something she was very practiced with. The purple-haired girl was even hoping nobody would show up that evening.
Yanagi wasn't even paying attention to the front door. Her attention was on a catalog of various outfits from different designers. She had never really considered making such outlandish pieces of clothing, but the technique that went into making them was too good for her to ignore. The chair she was sitting in was on its back two legs as Yanagi leaned back to get more comfortable with her reading.
