Appearance: Dr. Desjardin is a tall, thin, dark-skinned man. He has frizzy black hair with a single braid at the front. Olivier wears a black top hat with a silver stitch running across the front of it diagonally. He also wears a long black overcoat with a collar of feathers and a rose on his lapel over a scarlet dress shirt, with black leather boots and dress pants. He often holds a cigar in his right hand, with his scepter in the left. His eyes are a cat-like yellow color, and glow when he summons his persona.

Alternate Appearance: A skeletal Mardi Gras style mask, which he wears over his eyes, covering his nose. His yellow eyes glow through the abyssal black slits in the mask.

Personality: A deeply strange individual, Dr. Desjardin finds himself at home with others sharing in his eccentricity. For how strange he is, he has charisma likened to that of a cult leader's. He can draw people of almost any background to his parlor, so that he can read their fortunes. He finds reading people's backgrounds to be fascinating. Each reading is another chapter in a grand book to him. He is a skilled doctor, although every procedure comes with a costly price of the non-currency variety. He's bitter at the world of medicine, for it's treatment of him was cruel.

He's a disturbed man, and finds a certain degree of pleasure in the warping and twisting of people's fates. It's not suffering that amuses him, more the act of distorting fate itself. As such, a person winning the lottery would give him just as big a smile as someone getting struck by lightning. He will kill without second thought, as he has a unique philosophy on death.

—Description: Olivier is a man adept at twisting fate. He gains +5% luck when health is over 70%, or +8% when at 100%.

—Description: Owns a store, the Parlor, where he sells magic items and Gris-Gris (magic charms that give a benefit as well as a downside.)

The Background

History: Oliver was raised mostly by his mother's side of the family, as his father died when he was young. His mother's side comprised of doctors, nurses, and other medical professions. His first encounter with his father's side came when he met his grandmother, the revered voodoo queen Mama Thalia.

He was fascinated by her teachings, and learned from her the ways of voodoo. Eventually, when he graduated from high school, he abandoned the voodoo lifestyle and became a general practice doctor. Years passed without a hitch, Olivier living a bachelor's dream life as a successful and renowned physician. As his career reached it's peak, a tragedy occurred. A horrific attack on a young man that nearly cost them his life took place, and he was admitted to the hospital.

The man had a knife wound to the throat, the torso and to the back of the neck. Seeing it as the only way to save the man's life, Olivier resorted to the voodoo magic that he had been taught long ago. Along with curing his injuries, the man had also lost his sight. Olivier's medical license was terminated, though no charges were pressed. Now, with his education flushed down the drain, the only way of life is voodoo. Your sanity is a low price to pay for infinite power.

For Cajun Persuasion 3 extra shards would be allowed, but not double, and not from shard pickups. Gaining 12 Demon Shards for each successful negotiation will get ridiculous pretty fast.

Friends on the Other Side is not allowed. One of the most powerful things people have in a game like Endymion is their anonymity if they choose to keep it, you can't circumvent that with a Strength.

Fortunate Son can stay but only as a percentage increase to Luck. As high as 17 flat Luck will only take effect once you breach 100 Luck on percentages with the highest percent we allow in Strengths (15%) and it takes work to get there.

Po' Boy's Eyes can't be allowed because dungeon movement can often be complex when you're moving over 6 spaces. Mechanically we can't implement that Weakness effectively.

Your Soulbound needs dimensions for PvP reasons, just a length will do.

For your History you can't actually have working voodoo magic without a Soul Skill involved. It's cool, I like it, but you can't be supernatural without being Awakened and having skills to do these things with. This can still be fluff or mob doctor's techniques or a medical mishap and stay the way it is though.
