The Adventures of Love and Death (Tomomi)

Nadia smiled at Tomomi as he sent her the text message. As he asked his question, she smiled a little mischievously at him, and typed a message in response to his.

Nadia: It's chai :-)

With a giggle she locked her own phone and set it down on the low coffee table next to her tea cup, looking back to Tomomi. "I'm glad I met you, Tomomi. I'm sure Cecil is too."

As Nadia seemed quiet at Tomomi's question while typing a message, Tomomi tilted his head. Did she not remember what tea she made? Then Tomomi got a message. But it'd be rude to check his phone for messages right? I mean, Nadia must have just been putting the details into the phone.

Then it all twigged, with an "Ohhhhh" from Tomomi as he picked his phone out and read the message. "Oh cool. Chai's nice." he replied with a bit of a laugh. Then, at Nadia's compliment, Tomomi offered a happy smile, nodding. "T-thanks! You too Nadia. It's nice to have friends. So, um, yeah. And I'm glad we both know how, well, awesome Cecil is."

It took a moment for Tomomi to notice that she'd sent him a message. It made her giggle a little, and she took another sip from her tea, a bigger one this time, almost downing what was left. "It is nice. I never realized before just how nice." She smiled pleasantly at him. As she sensed the conversation spinning back towards Cecil, she was worried about continuing her ruse. It was getting to be a strain keeping Revenant's identity a secret when so much of their conversation revolved around Cecil.

So she gently guided the conversation away from that and towards something else - school, the Cadets, the playhouse, whatever struck their mutual fancy, until their conversation rolled to a halt, and it came time to part ways. It was nice having a place of her own to welcome people - and then to send them on their way in good faith and good health. Being independent and free was really amazing.

Tomomi too partook in the light conversation. There was laughter, seriousness, and Tomomi was glad to have someone to talk to beyond just Cecil - it reminded him that he wasn't alone, and gave him a sense of being a part of a group. Even if inside he felt that it might not be true, to be able to delude himself like this for the time was something he could appreciate and become a part of.

Then time passed, and Tomomi found that it was time for him to leave. Giving a light bow, almost out of instinct, Tomomi corrected himself and waved. "I'll see you later Nadia! Feel free to send me a message if you need anything! And um, th-thank you very much!"
