Swept Up [Brit/Cecil]

"Cecil? Mr. Voice Actor? Mr. Smart Tongue? Hello-o? Relax a bit? Re-lax! Okay? Easy now!"

She didn't mean to scare him or poke fun at him by any means, it was indeed a joking remark. On the other hand, he was barely a new acquaintance for her, naturally the guy wasn't at all accustomed to her sense of humor and cheerful mood. Then again...if he wasn't yet, he would be. As for his question, Brittany stood up, frowning and putting on the most wounded look on her face she could come up with.

"What? Why do you think I would do something bad to you? Like... PUSHING YOU INTO THE POOL??"

In a sudden movement, she freed their hands, only so she could do the quick maneuver of forcing Cecil to fall into the pool. Should everything occur as her childish, mischievous mind planned assuming the blond fellow didn't react fast enough to pose a resistance to being pushed, Cecil would submerge while Brittany would occupy herself with laughing hard, clapping at her own banter. "Ahahahahaha! This is soooo much better than they make it look in the TVs!"

Brittany had to admit, once she stopped laughing the little harmless prank wasn't as funny (nor harmless) as she thought. The girl wasn't opposed to being playful but when it negatively affects others, be it physically or emotionally, she would draw a line. Right now, at least her concern for Cecil's physical integrity arose.

"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry! I totally didn't mean to hurt you, really! It isn't that bad, is it?", she sat down by the pool's side, in order to stay at a close height level to Cecil and stretch her arm out to him. "Here, you can pull me into too. To make it fair on your side, but... let me just prepare psychologically for this first. Inhaling once... Inhaling twice... Inhaling thrice... Okay, I think I'm ready! This side of the pool is shallow, right? Just, you know, making sure!"

"Aw... that's, like, sooooo sweet I can't even..."

Cecil left Brittany speechless for a second. It couldn't be true someone be that nice and gentle, specially after the stunt she pulled on him... Kinda made her feel guilty too. In any event, trusting him, she stepped inside the pool for the first time after letting her legs dangle for a while. The water wasn't cold at all, though not exactly warm either, she would get used to it in time. Naturally, she sat by Cecil's side, consequently getting her long hair in the water and ignoring the possibility of making a bun. Probably the agency stylists would complain a lot about the chemical substances in the pool's water making her hair dehydrated before the next photoshoot.

Well, their problem. There's only so much she could worry about while relaxing in a pool, and job concerns are not included. As for Cecil... "Hey, there's something in your face here. Let me just...", and before the girl could end the sentence, her hands were already splashing enough water into her friend's face, causing the girl to giggle for another possibly successful prank. "Oopsie?"

"!"

If the moment before the girl had the mischievous, devilish smile, after Cecil's comeback she had a surprised, almost exasperated look for a moment followed by a gasp worth of dramatic soap operas. Thanks to his endeavor, most of Brittany's fringes of hair glued to the outlines of her face down to her nose and cheeks, therefore covering her eyes in the process giving a rather comical sight to anyone who had paid attention. "Hey!..." She wiped her face, pulling the hair strands backwards before her otherwise caught off guard expression turned into a competitive grin. "Ou-kay... You asked for this!"

Unless Cecil gave up, a splash-in-the-face-war has just begun.

"Ah! You jerk, I wasn't ready??", she squealed gleefully, putting both arms ahead to protect her face from the splash before hitting the water in a counter movement hoping it would hit Cecil before the distance between them enlarged.

"A-ha! Now you're running? You're soooo not getting away with this, come back!", Brittany's competitive, easily excitable side spoke louder this time, standing up in the pool as to facilitate the use of both arms and repeatedly squirt water in his direction.

Again, her face received the water blows on the bare skin without having too much room to defend herself and exercise her reflexes, forcing the girl to close her eyes in a gasp and remove the hair strands from her bangs out of her sight. At this point, Brit's hair was as soaked as if she took a shower, just like her otherwise unblemished skin showed a melting aspect far from being the usual. In fact, it was simply her make-up and sunscreen lotion being gradually removed in the middle of the water war. Naturally, the girl wouldn't notice until she wiped the water from her face and realized its color was not as transparent.

"Oh my gosh, I totally forgot this!"

Should Cecil look behind what seemed to be Brittany's face thawing, he'd spot her freckles, orange/rosy tones pretty visible in contrast to her skin's complexion. "I can't risk dirtying the pool, they'll call me out on that. Alright, you won!", though her tone was mildly desperate as panicked, Brittany smiled at her defeat in her own challenge, climbing on the pool's borders.

"Kinda need to clean up now..."

"What?"

As she was about to leave the pool, Brittany gave one last glance back, to Cecil. There was a palpable guilt hovering in the air between them, emanating from the boy's behavior, which Brit couldn't really comprehend. Of course the girl was freting over ruined make-up, but that's not even something worth such reaction.

"Oh com'on, you serious? This is nothing! I'm just worried it'll fall in the water and contaminate it, is all! I mean, you don't want people swimming in a contaminated water, do you? Though, if you ask me, some people do worse in the pool taking advantage no one can watch it... I won't get in specifics, but you, like, know what I'm talking about", the girl ended up laughing. As a matter of fact, pools were huge germs concentrations and someone with Brit's career should be extra careful to not get some skin disease in time for the next job. However, the young model clearly didn't mind it enough despite acknowledging the possibility and the disgusting aspect of sharing a pool with a large community. "Hurry up and get out of the pool, you lazy water war winner, I still need to clean up! ...uh, Water war winner... Now, that's a tongue-twister I came up on my own, aha!"

Brittany smiled widely at Cecil, her freckles becoming even more apparent as her cheekbones lifted into what would be a sonorous laughter of entertainment soon as she noticed he got correctly what she said. Of course she didn't mean it to make the boy so disgusted to leave the pool quickly after, but it worked anyway.

"I'm gonna go to the shower to get this clean and then we can grab something to eat, mmkay?", she said, placing one hand on Cecil's back as to escort him their way out of the pool area. It was a fun morning, but she definitely felt like treating herself some snacks. Non-caloric ones, of course!
