"And again... Time... Stands... Still."

The audible musings of one Champagne could be heard as he lazily laid against the sandy beach. The sun was about to set on this new world. It was quite noisy, all the racing and stuff... But he didn't entirely mind too much. Here, in this bubble of sea and islands... It was free from the bustle, free from everything that made him unhappy.

A warless land with nothing but nature flowing in and out of it. He'd sigh happily, wrapping the cape he wore around him as if it were a blanket. Quite frankly, this was his paradise. He wasn't too far away from his bar, though the beach he was on was rather remote. However, his bar did have a bit of popularity among beach loving creatures.

Padding along the beach, the footsteps of a man could be heard, seemingly talking to the cool breeze that arrived with him.
"...nah, just checking around. Need a 'dragon' proof spot." He pauses for a moment, only to snort at something. "Don't say that to Squirt. Pretty sure she'd throw a fit if her impulse control can't talk her down." The grin drops a moment for a flat look. "Yes, that is a bad thing."
His eyes flick over to where Champagne is laid on the sands, and the grin he walked on with soon returns and finds itself directed the man's way.

"Very."

He'd say rather simply. A happy yet lazy smile across his face as he sat up from his position. Looking up and over at the new comer. Ah, such warm clothes for a warm place. Odd, he'd think, though he didn't exactly understand how other beings really worked. He always felt cool here, personally, though he knew that the heat could get to people if they lingered too much on one of the tropical islands. Though, with a somewhat nonchalant smile, he'd tilt his head and hum.

"Hm hm... I've never seen you before. What brings you to my humble little slice of paradise. Want a drink? I've got plenty." his voice was pleasant and calm, it had about it an air of intoxicated peace though. Not unsettling, but something almost seemed unnatural with how calm and at peace he was. But, what did it matter if someone was perfectly calm?

Irvine's grin only widens. "Sounds good to me if you're offering. I'd offer food, but I've got none with me."
He sets himself down on the sands by Champagne, the breeze seeming to shift to follow him, moving so it doesn't carry the sands with it. "Looking with a friend for a place for some more of 'em. Last one was fine, but looks like one rogue sea dragon is enough to get them running." He looks out over the waters, shaking his head and tutting. "To be fair, sending an electro-ball to destroy their bodies and set the volleyball net on fire was uncalled for."

He shrugs, looking back over to Champagne. "How's about you? How came ya set up shop over here?"

"I have food at the hut. If you're willing I'll cook us up something and we can chat over drink. It's what a bar owner does."

He'd muse over what he said. A business owner then? That was interesting. He hadn't had many business people ask on his own business here... Though, there wasn't really a secret to it.

"Ah, sea dragons are always an issue. Though, if you reason with them they'll usually leave you alone." he'd say with a somewhat happy smile. He'd stand up, brushing the sand off the back of his cloak before stretching. "If you find them some better hunting grounds or give them something rich looking enough they won't cross you. I had one here too, but a few conversations later and we were fine." he'd say with a smirk.

"I came here for the sun sets and the breeze. I breathe through my skin, I needed somewhere breezy enough to sustain life. I was lucky, I suppose." he'd say with a smile, beckoning the newcomer to follow him to the bar in the distance. It was lit up with fire and electrical lights alike, illuminating the bar with beautiful light.

Irvine continues to grin wide. "Damn right. Never anything wrong with some hospitality, even if some folks don't seem to get that. Don't get anywhere by being an asshole."

The grin parts into open laughter as Irvine picks himself back up. "Doubt you and I are dealing with the same one then. That girl's just a cocky brat." He snorts, rolling his eyes.. "Gotta wonder if she was that bad before she died."
He raises a brow at the information he's given while he follows the man. "Can't say I've met a skin-breather before. That bad to have the air still?" The breeze that followed Irvine in seems to concentrate around Champagne, creating a constant airflow over his skin. "Too bad there isn't a Ven here I can introduce you to. Bet you'd've had fun with some of their tricks."

"I never quite understood why people simply don't help others out. It's second nature for me to offer my services without a price... But, that's no matter to concern ourselves about. Not here, at least." he'd say with that same, almost intoxicating smile. Everything about him was still, at peace. Even the way he walked was without a care in the world. It was almost odd to look at, one could say... Though, one could also chop it up to living on a beach for a living.

"An... Undead sea dragon? No, can't say I've dealt with one of those... I hope its not polluting the sea... It would be troublesome to clean the beach of dead fish..." he'd say with a somewhat displeased sigh. Though, it would pass in an instance as they got to the hut. A happy sigh leaving him as the air seemed notably more pleasant. It was good to be able to breath like this, especially with a meal about to be prepared.

"A Ven you say? That's a strange name... Are they a race or alien?" he'd ask with a curious tone, moving around to the bar to open up the grill and get it started. With a hum, he'd bend down and pull out a few strips of fish from a refrigerator behind the bar. In a few moments they'd be pleasantly sizzling. And while he waited for that to finish, he'd prepare the two of them a simple pina colada to pass the time.

"So, tell me about yourself. Ah, name's Champagne but everyone calls me Boozy." he'd say with a nod of his head, a smile on his face as he raised his glass in celebration of this happen chance gathering.

Irvine nods. "If you say so."

Something about what Champagne says amuses Irvine, the man simply giving a nonchalant shrug. "Nothing wrong with having died. A great many of my good friends have. Never got why people got so freaked over dead people. Besides!" He flops onto a seat, spinning atop it to face Champagne. "She's nothing like you're probably thinking. Couldn't tell she was dead if you looked at her. I know I didn't."
"Not gonna make any claims about dead fish though, she seems like she'd pull a stunt like that for kicks."

"Don't know why that's so weird when we've got Raxacoricos and Arabalakans about, but hey, you do you. It's short for Ventus - just one of the ways people like me can turn out." He holds up his black hand, and starts tracing silhouttes in the air with it, the blackness in his skin seemingly coming alive as he does. "Me? I'm a Tenebris. Dark's my thing. A Ventus's schtick is wind, the air - saw a guy make a tornado in his hands once, can't imagine how long getting that coordinated took."

Irvine leans back, a smirk on his face. "Already done a little of that, but what the hell? I'm Irvine." He spins a finger in the air, leaving black trails behind it, and the air flow around Champagne picks up a bit. "One of the owners of High Spirits - a damn fine restaurant over in the wards." Straightening up, he raises his glass as well. "So! Champagne. Boozy. Which one do you prefer?"

"I'm assuming for you life does not cease after death? Ah, what an odd way to exist. Some find solidarity in their own demises... Hm... I feel indifferent towards the dead, whether they be with us or not. Death is but another means to exist, in some ways." he'd say with a somewhat bemused smile. Though, he'd let out a rather chipper laugh, something just as intoxicated and full of joy.

"No no, where I'm from short names are quite intimate. To hear a race be called by so few letters was a bit of a shock." he'd say with a wave of his hand. Though, he'd listen to the man speak and showcase the power he held. Ah, what an interesting ability... It must've been common on his world to see spectacles like that but on his, it was all rather strange and endearing.

"Ah... I take it you're the cause of the breeze? It is very kind of you. Sometimes it gets hard to breath when I grill." he'd say with a bemused smile, raising his glass to toast to the now named Irvine. "My friends call me Boozy, so do as you like. You seem a nice guy, so I won't mind either way." he'd say with a nod of his head, sipping his drink before returning to the grill. The fish wouldn't take much longer to cook. It was a thin cut, but it made it immensely easier to cook and prepare on short notice.

"I dunno. Far as I'm concerned, everyone else are the odd ones." He gestures to the area around him. "You have no idea how weird it was not seeing spirits everywhere when I got here. So many people, and so little dead? Crazy. Most of the dead people here aren't even really dead."

"Hmmmm?" A curious twinkle shines in his yellow eyes. "Guess it's a good thing I didn't come with Ray or Ally then. If that threw you for a loop, I wonder what kinda reaction I'd get with people about." He raises an eyebrow. "Just what kinda intimacy we talking here?"

Irvine makes a so-so motion with his hand. "In a way. I asked for it, but it's a friend actually doing it. I'm sure she'll be happy to hear you appreciate the effort." He returns the toast, and his eyes flick to a spot in the air for a moment before he returns to his usual grin. "And what do you know, she does. It's a nice change when most have no idea what you're doing."
He takes a sip of his drink...not bad. He'd probably appreciate it more if he wasn't craving Lux-Juice right now.
He was going to have to bug Ally later.
"Alright then, Boozy. Good to meet you too. Not enough folks like you about."
