| Despite everything, she wasn't ready to accept such a fate, not from someone like this. Her eyes narrowed, her left hand made a fist, a black sheeth began forming with a pommel just ready to grasp and a crimson blade ready to swing... but this instinct was interrupted when the Prince's voice reached her ears. The half-manifested Legacy dissipated into little more than ephemeral dust as Shiina continued staring up at the Nameless Guard's face in steadfast defiance. No matter who it is, in the end they'll submit to your will. Regardless, she didn't object to the District Leader's fate. An arrogant, prideful failure who was now too well-known to be rehabilitated into normal life. It was impossible to save her now. Regardless of that, Julius was here now, and with the Nameless Guard's threat gone, the Wild Card instead turned towards the Prince with a renewed will in her eyes.
//"Your Highness... I don't regret what we did tonight."// Regardless of whether it was a foolish move to defy the Queen's enforcer, it was a necessary step regardless. A behavior she couldn't tolerate, an action that went against what she believed in... no matter who it was, she had to stand against them. With that said, though, Shiina saluted the Prince before leaving at his command. Even if the Terrorists escaped, she was satisfied with how the night went. Regardless of any failures, there was one thing that was made quite clear...
In the dead of night, a small grin formed on the Wild Card's lips. She had her way.

| The Tsurinai's speech didn't draw Cecilia's eyes away from the Nameless woman, however, it nevertheless caught her attention. Gritting her teeth as she felt her stomach twist and fill with butterflies, the Cadet did her best to hide her frustration at and concern for Shiina, remaining silent and pretending as if she hadn't noticed her even as the Wild Card moved to literally and figuratively stand beside her. She hadn't wanted this; the reason she spoke up in the first place was to take the fall for another, so for Shiina to do the same and rush to join her only served to render the sacrifice moot, to crush the hope she had of ensuring the safety of others. Now two would die at minimum if the executioner wasn't swayed from her course -- a fact which was confirmed as she aimed the blade at her throat and addressed the two of them. Shadows began to ebb at Cecilia's feet as she stared into the guard's eyes, although she already knew she couldn't win this confrontation, that in all likelihood it was too late to dodge the incoming strike. Perhaps she'd have some chance of survival with Shiina aiding her but... "That's enough!" Prayers of thanks piled up in her throat at the sudden stroke of salvation, but she kept silent and completely still, keeping her eyes on the blue-haired killer until the exchange between her and the prince was complete. In truth she knew she didn't deserve this. She should've been beneath the notice of one such as Julius, a blip on a radar that could disappear without any cause for concern, but instead she made trouble for him where there was none. First she was forcing him to freight over her at the ballroom because of her outburst and now? Now he had to come to her defense, to save her from the shitty situation she had stumbled her way into. Still, she was glad he had come, glad that she'd live to serve another day and that Shiina and the intern wouldn't suffer with her in the wake of her insolence. The same couldn't be said for Superbia though. As the guard rushed over and raised her blade to strike Cecilia felt the same impulse she had when seeing her ready to kill the intern, a desire to rush in and stop her at all costs, but for a moment she hesitated knowing what she felt when Shiina had done the same. If she intervened then it'd only be doing to Julius what the Wild Card had done to her... Regardless, the moment of contemplation sealed the District Leader's fate before she could decide what to do, the sickening squelch of pierced flesh causing Cecilia to jolt and grimace at the realization that it was already too late. "..." It was barbaric, cruel, and savage. This was the kind of behavior she'd expect from Psyche Terrorists, not from agents of the government... It was bad enough that she was slaughtering a loyal woman, a woman whose final words were an apology for her failings, but to deliberately inflict as much pain as possible? She felt like she was going to be sick all over again, however, she'd force herself to watch until Superbia's life had completely faded and her body fell limp. The pointlessness of the brutality disgusted her and she'd stare with ire at the monster responsible for the act until it had vanished from sight. After all was said and done she'd leave without a word following her dismissal, thankful at least that the boy had been saved from suffering the same fate as his boss. | |

| "I'm proud that you aren't. But, this was reckless, absolutely reckless. I can't have anyone of you dying like this. I want you to practice careful discretion next time. Promise me this." He gave a pat on Shiina's and Cecilia's heads. It was approving, but to reassure them of something. That even with Nameless' deeds, he was still at least here. With them leaving, the Cadet heaved a sigh as he glanced at Superbia's corpse and then over towards the intern. His gaze turned stern, slightly breaking the relaxed calm of his earlier visage. "Under the name of the Queen, I hereby arrest you on the account for treason. Cooperate."It was not a request, it was an order. He was clearly not in a mood for any games or dissent with this hectic night. Fortunately, the intern understood and did as he was told. Cuffs were put on his wrists and he was led away to the nearest police cruiser. With all the service providers finishing up their side of work for this evening, eventually Julius left the building. It was truly a long night indeed.
