| It was over quickly, just the way he liked these things to happen. It normally wasn't this fast, but that just meant it was even better than normal. "This was good. Very good."The beastly presence fades from Chip, and the little pup goes back to being a frolicking little dog bot as Dale moves and crouches down near Crow, reloading his gun as he watches the Chimera rifle through the bag. "What's in there...? It was making noise..."He doesn't actually put his weapon away. There could still be more things that could and would hurt him...and the grey junc-son seemed to be one of the ones that could, now. - Tracking:

| Inside the bag, crow would find several scraps of food, a few broken electronics such as a mobile Cwis Terminal, a camera, an odd device resembling an short tire iron with a speaker at the end, and a few scraps of paper. The scraps appeared to be of a note left behind by the owner of the bag. This is what could be made out from the scraps night I go ember it's 4 x and it's got a thre 8, silly yeah but its easy to remember. | |

| Crow would blink. "It was...?" He actually haven't taken notice of the bag making noise, but he had been focused on other things, so maybe he had just missed something. How strange. Well, either way, he would search through the thing, frowning a little at the bunch of clearly dysfunctional devices. Probably got smashed about a little too hard by that beast. It wouldn't be surprising since it had been half chewing on the bag. It was still something though...maybe they weren't destroyed beyond repair...
Nevertheless, the papers with writing were a little more interesting at that moment, the ashen skinned man squinting at the scraps, trying to arrange that in the correct order. Albeit chunks seemed to be missing too. "There's lots of broken stuff in this, apparently....", he would comment meanwhile, to answer his companion's inquiry. "And a torn apart note...Hmm..." What did this read? It would take him a decent while of trying to piece it together, before it hit him that this was probably about the box they found earlier. It was the only word that immediately made sense to fill in before that 'x' on one of the scraps, and it did talk about remembering numbers, which fit the bill. Awesome? So..."Remember it's 4....something...8, silly...", he would mutter to himself in thought, before he turned towards the locked box in an attempt to test something. If he was getting this correctly, it should be one of the numbers from 4'0'8 to 4'9'8 for the middle number, thus he would attempt to key in those in order to see if any of them did the trick...

| Dale nods. "It was...oh. That's why." There were lots of bits and pieces of stuff that had been broken up. With the bag being swung about in the thing's mouth, the stuff hitting each other or something would have made the noise. Yeah. That was it. That satisfied him in the situation.
As Crow concerned himself with the papers and the box, Dale found himself focusing on other things. He did wonder what was in there, but..."Food." He gathered up what edibles he could from the bag, and went back to the soup pot, in all of its rancid glory. He couldn't take this around, but he didn't need to. "So much..." Dale digs into the soup, in all its rotten glory.

| Upon entering 4,6,8, the box would pop open relieving to Crow it's contents. Paper, lots, and lots of paper. From a cursory glance at a few headlines and titles, the papers seemed to be some sort of log, or research documents left behind by whoever made this camp. Should Crow spend any amount of time looking through the papers, he would find that they repeated the words, corruption, void, and Masked Man several times. Dale would need to make a roll right quick. Oh nothing special, just a quick out of ten roll with a 40% success chance to see if he passed out from eating random rotting sludge he found in a cave. | |

| - Incredibly Relevant Strength:
—Strength Name: Variable Fuel Converter —Description: Dale has a variety of systems designed to enable him to ingest organic materials for power. And while he doesn’t need to worry about the likes of toxins or disease, he has had to have a lot of countermeasures implemented to prevent damage in case he consumes materials that are corrosive, or otherwise hazardous. Dale has 15% lower chances of being Poisoned.
- Effect:
Had anyone else attempted what Dale had, they'd either have ended up unconscious after a bout of profuse vomiting, or unconscious, dead, and the source of the most foul and lethal stink that Junction had, and possibly would ever know in the entirety of its existence. But it wasn't someone else. It was Dale. And he was digging in to the pot's foul slime like it was a goddamn feast for a king. It was the sort of sight that destroyed appetites - permanently, in some cases - but it was what was happening. It was perhaps, for the best, that Dale and Crow were the only ones present at that moment.

| Hmmm...so, papers. That wasn't what he had been expecting exactly, but it was...interesting? Crow would skim over a few of them, noting the odd things that were written on them. Nevertheless, this was not the best location to be studying lots of documents at, so he would opt to just put them back in the box and lock it back up for now. Keeping the stuff safe until there was a better time to look at it all thoroughly. And speaking of looking, he would cast his companion a sort of incredulous glance when he saw him eating that stinky stuff? Did some people actually like that? He really wasn't sure what to think about it, but for now he would just shake his head as he stood up, dusting his pants off. Putting all the broken tech back into the bag, he would pick both that and the box up and walk a little closer to the guy. Though keeping a bit of distance so he didn't have to smell that stink much. "You plan on staying here longer?" | |

| ...it was empty. The pot was empty. The foul sludge that filled it was gone, and Dale was full of energy. "...that was good..." It tasted absolutely horrific, but that had never been anything to stop him before. He was just happy he'd been able to fill up. He looked over at Crow as he was spoken to, and he suddenly seemed hesitant. "...I don't know how to get back." | |

| Right. Crow would put on a half-thoughtful expression for a moment. "To be fair, I don't recall the exact route either, but as long as we can get outside, it shouldn't be too hard to find the way. There was an entrance a while back...." As far as he recalled, that is. He doubted he could just accurately trace his entire route from the beginning anyway, but seeing where they were from an outside standpoint ought to make things a lot easier. "Well anyhow, gonna try to get outta here. You can tag along if you want." The guy had followed him here apparently, and it would be rude to just tell him to get lost at this point, wouldn't it now...? Speaking of which, he would turn towards the guy briefly before walking off back to where they came from. "What's your name anyway?"

| A shot of panic ran through Dale until Crow continued on to say that he'd be able to find the way back as long as he got outside. "That's good. Yes." He gives a quick nod. "What do you mean, 'tag along'?" He follows after Crow, inadvertently doing just the thing he didn't know the meaning of. He just wanted to get out. He'd gotten lost twice already...he didn't need to get stuck in the 'snow' stuff a third time, even if it was pretty. As Dale followed after Crow, Chip at his side, he'd blink at the question. "Dale."]>---ABSCOND---<[ | |
