Ew, well that was stinky. Crow would step away from the pot slightly, not wanting to make himself nauseous with the smell if it wasn't necessary. There probably wasn't a whole lot he could do with rotting food. He had just wanted to see what it was out of curiosity.
...speaking of curiosity, one would get satisfied quite quickly. Yep, there was something around alright. "Greaaat.", he would mutter under his breath as he briefly glanced in the direction of where the sound came from. What do to? Well....he wasn't a cave expert, so trying to hastily retreat could just result in getting thoroughly lost, making it easy for something to corner him. Bad idea, probably. Besides...he was fast. If it came down to that, he could always attempt to hightail it outta here later. Catching notice of his companion seemingly getting ready to rumble, he would cast a thoughtful look his way. "Are you planning to fight whatever this is?" It'd be good to know where they stood, at least. For now though, he would take to looking around the camp some more to see if he couldn't at least guess as to the origin of this thing, while the final decisions were up in the air.

Wasn't here yet...but he knew where it was. Not here. ...reminded him of the last time... He looks inside his jacket, and gives a little nod to it.
And now, it looked like that junc-son was paying more attention to him than before. Wasn't attacking him yet, and they were probably more focused on the sound that the thing in the distance made. Probably wouldn't focus on him yet if they were going to do anything. "Just want the food, right now...get it when it attacks, hurt it until it doesn't move, then I can get all of it safely." Eyes flicking about, something caught his eye... He knew where the thign was. He could afford to look. So he did.

After a more extensive search Crow would find a small lock box in one of the tents, hidden under a bed roll. The box was undamaged and had a good amount of weight to it but not so much that it would impede travel. However it was combination, not keyed. There would be no way to pick the lock, ether find the code or crack it open.
A second growl in the distance, This time much closer.

Huh, well the guy sounded pretty confident in his ability to fight against this unknown thing and actually come out victorious. Crow wasn't certain whether it was a sound idea to trust that fact, but he couldn't form a solid opinion before said enemy showed its face and combat ability to them either. Thus, he would offer his companion a somewhat affirmative hum to that, focusing on the other half of the statement instead. "You sure it's smart to eat rotten food?" Even if you could process that without getting sick...didn't spoiled shit kinda...taste horrible?
Regardless, the Chimera man would continue digging around for a while....until he came upon an unusual locked box. Bringing it up closer to his face, he would frown at the item briefly. Yeah, well, the fact that this was locked implied something interesting could be inside...but you can't hack a lock. And he wasn't the person you'd ask to smash something apart. Plus doing that could accidentally damage whatever was inside too. "Well, I think I found something more interesting than spoiled food.", he would comment with a shrug as he walked back closer to the center which had the stinky food, keeping the box on him for now. "Though it looks like we might need to deal with the visitor first....", he'd add with a sigh, trying to squint into the distance to see the source of the growling.

"What's rotten mean? Food is food." And really, that was all that was important. He could only think of one thing off the top of his head that he wouldn't eat, back from when he met Enkidu... ...it felt like eating whatever that was would be very, very bad. It...it made that thing. He didn't want to know what it'd do to him.
For all his searching, he didn't actually find the thing he thought he saw. He could have sworn it was there, but it never actually turned up... He ended up turning his attention back to Crow, who was now carrying what looked to be one of those hard to open boxes. They were annoying to get open, before. It was a good thing he had that axe now. More important now though was whatever was coming. He flicked his gun to the Energy Lance setting and set it to charge, and with his free hand he opened up his jacket to let Chip hop out onto the ground, the pair facing in the direction of the noise. He didn't say anything as he aimed in the direction of the sound, while Chip growled in a way unlike any sound Crow had heard before as the ground kicked up around the bot.

Far in the distance, Crow could just make out a set of glowing red eyes, growing larger with each moment.
Another loud roar echoed through the cave as the figure in the dark Charged...As the roar reverberated through Crow's mind, it began to pull at something within his soul. As if something was trying to claw it's way out.
They had but moments before the beast was upon then, how would they spend it?

"Uhhh, food that's no longer fresh at all?" He was going to say not edible at first, but then he figured that would be understood as readily as rotten had been. He wasn't sure what he thought about all food being the same either way. Even if one could stomach spoiled food...it probably didn't have the same nutrition value and whatnot as normal food. Not that he was any expert on that matter though, since he generally didn't touch obviously questionable things.
Regardless, Crow would scratch the back of his head at what was happening, taking note of the red orbs getting closer. Oh great, was it going to be some creepy animal thing? Not that he had the mind to imagine the possibilities for long, as he found himself shaking his head in mild distress soon after. This was weird. He wasn't even 'that' bothered by the roaring itself, as this was about the third time...but...just ugh. Trying to distract himself, he would glance towards the duo next to him. "You ever fought beasts before?"

He... really didn't get it. "Doesn't matter. Food is food."
And...there it was. The thing that roared. The thing that wanted to hurt them. It wouldn't though. Not now. The bright light of Dale's charged shot is aimed towards the glowing eyes. "Chip? Enkidu? Ready to hurt this until it stops moving?" The sound of near-inhuman laughter rings out...from Chip.
That isn't even a question. He wonders if we've felled beasts...HAH! You can tell he has no idea who he's talking to.

As the beady red eyes of the best approached, the scratching crawling feeling in Crow's mind would grow greater until...
A small ticking sound took it's place.
It was time to see how deep the rabbit hole went. To take part in some Bad HABITS
"GYOOOOOOORE"
Whether or not the duo was ready, the beast's charge from the darkness would not stop until it was upon them. From it's teeth hung a tatterd bag who's contents jingled as it was swung from side to side.

This really wasn’t a good time for a damn headache…or whatever this annoying feeling was supposed to be. This thing was getting him mildly agitated, and he would huff as the robo-dog suddenly spoke. Kinda. Crow wasn’t certain whether that was really the dog or not, as he hadn’t seen it speak at all before this. He would shake his head. “Does it need to matter to me as to who I’m talking to?” Hey, it’s not like he had been specifically addressing whoever it was that was now trying to lecture upon him. Nor did he particularly care, as his focus switched towards the large furred thing that was now in their field of vision. A canine beast? ‘Beautiful’.
He was just about to try to assess the best choice of action in this situation when the sudden switch of the sensations made him freeze up a bit. Ticking? There didn’t seem to be any clocks down here in the caves as far as his general knowledge would tell him. Luckily enough, his mind wasn’t completely brain-dead at the moment, so he would make the connection soon after, bringing his left arm up to eye his wristwatch oddly. Which seemed to spark a reaction…
“Felling beasts equals recognition..? I find that funny…”
A new, raspy voice would speak up, the silver accessory flashing with shiny light briefly, before a bulky demonic rabbit with matted white fur materialized besides the pair, its glowing eyes seemingly holding an amused expression.
Crow would half-sigh with an incredulous face. “Do I even want to know…?” The big hare would cackle gruffly in response. “I think your new friend does…..Catch.” There wasn’t a lot of time as he had to scramble to take hold of the pair of black/blue guns his new companion created out of some sort of dark energy. Giving the weapons a glance, the Chimera man would mutter under his breath. “Everyone’s trigger happy today…” “For a good reason.” “You’re being annoying.”
Fine though, shooting was something he could do…let’s just hope this beast didn’t eat bullets for breakfast. Aiming the barrels at the furred thing, he would make a comment towards the guy with him before attempting to pierce a couple shots through beast.

Relevant Strengths/Weaknesses:
—Strength Name: Dance Floor Moves (+10% Luck) —Description: With the role of a professional dancer for entertainment, Crow's quite a natural at the art, which also provides him with a good flexibility/agility and the ability to move around smoothly and with grace.
—Strength Name: Trigger Handler (+15% Gun Damage) —Description: Aiming to spice up basic dancing, Crow is known for often using items during his performances as well, fake guns and the like being quite a common occurrence. Due to that, he's learned how to handle and use them well to make it seem natural for his shows, thus allowing him to also manipulate them quick and aim efficiently where he wants to, to deal higher bullet damage.
—Racial Strength Name: The Blitzer —Description: Through the combinations in his DNA, Crow has acquired an ability to move unusually fast. He can accelerate up to 60 k/h | 37 m/h (or 16 m/s), making him exceptionally good at tasks that involve a lot of fast moving about in any way or form.
In combat, this grants him an additional 20% Crit chance to his gun specifically, as his speediness coupled with his gun handling skills allows him to take opponents off guard a lot easier.
—Weakness Name: Grounded Energy (-10% SP) —Description: Most of Crow's general focus is on the physical aspects of his body, on top of the fact that being a Chimera gives him a sort of chaotic internal make up, making it harder for him to harness mental and magical energies properly.
—Weakness Name: Weak Push (-15% Dex Damage) —Description: Crow's a fast one, alright, but his body mass and stature isn't designed for a powerful strength output, making him less efficient at combat situations that involve stuff such as kicks and punches, as well as when handling close combat weapons. He might be quick to land a hit, but likely won't be packing a huge amount of force behind it.
—Racial Weakness Name: Thin Foil —Description: Using such high speed drains a lot of energy the faster you go, and the longer the time period is, and he will get tired if he zooms about excessively. To help him gain such speeds, his body does have a lighter and less sturdy make up, also causing him to be blown back much easier when he does get caught and hit. Same goes for his own ability to dish out powerful direct blows.
In combat, this gives opponents an additional 10% Crit chance for any and all phys based attacks.

As the opportunity comes, Dale doesn't waste the chance to hammer in on...whatever this was. It was just some thing, and it while it definitely seem to have something, that would be easy enough to take once it stopped moving any more. So he hacked and kicked and slashed away while he had the chance, beating it down with all the unrelenting brutality he had and then some. Once the thing started moving again, he wasted no time in backing off and blasting it with the spear of blue light he'd prepared from his pistol.
Skill 2: Poisoned Dagger | Inflicts a small amount of Pierce damage to one enemy that has a 10% chance of poisoning. | 8% HP | Tier 1
Skill 3: Media | Recovers a small amount of HP (20%) to allies. | 8 SP | Tier 1
Skill 4: Poison Boost | Increases odds of instilling Poison by 35% [25 Base] | Passive | Tier 2
Soul Skill Name: Sculpted Munitions Persona Name: Enkidu Tier: Tier 1 Cost: Passive Type of Damage: N/A Description: Each turn in a topic, Dale generates 1 Clay round, up to a maximum of 10. Clay rounds behave as Basic Rounds, but crumble after use and when given to someone else, rendering them useless. They do not carry over between topics, and cannot be sold even if somehow kept intact after leaving Dale's possession.
Relevant Strengths/Weaknesses:
—Strength Name: Ruthless Optimisation —Description: Due to the ‘niceties’ of his current lifestyle, Dale has been forced to get familiar with the intricacies of fighting people, developing a brutal and opportunistic style of combat with the focus of taking down an opponent as quickly as possible – by any means necessary. Dale is capable of attacking twice with his soulbound weapon.
—Strength Name: Cybernetic Resilience —Description: To put it simply, Dale is made of metal. Strong metal. That means he hits like he’s made of metal, and more importantly to his survival, takes hits like he’s made of metal. Dale takes 5% less damage from physical attacks, and typically hurts to punch.
—Strength Name: Variable Fuel Converter —Description: Dale has a variety of systems designed to enable him to ingest organic materials for power. And while he doesn’t need to worry about the likes of toxins or disease, he has had to have a lot of countermeasures implemented to prevent damage in case he consumes materials that are corrosive, or otherwise hazardous. Dale has 15% lower chances of being Poisoned.
----- —Racial Strength Name: Robust Firearm Design —Description: The Rampart doesn’t appear too impressive at first, at least where Dale’s from. It looks, for all intents and purposes, like a basic heavy energy pistol. But when you get to handling it, it’s very easy to see why it’s the sidearm of choice for anyone who could afford to use it. The Vydrata Rampart has three firing modes. Standard shot (revolver), rapid-discharge (machine-gun) and energy lance (sniper). The firing mode in use is indicated by the lights on the side of the gun – blue for standard, orange for rapid, and red for lance. So long as it is not currently being fired, Dale may switch firing modes on the Rampart however he pleases.
—Weakness Name: Entry Not Found —Description: Dale’s knowledge is critically lacking, be It law, social norms, or just common objects. He started off with a very baseline of necessary knowledge, and when you’re meant to be in a lab chamber for your entire life, you can get away with removing a surprising amount from that baseline. Dale has a 15% reduction to his Pmstr.
—Weakness Name: Inadequate Thermal Regulation —Description: While Dale is fine at most temperatures, severe cold has a more pronounced negative impact on him compared to other individuals. Dale receives 15% more damage from Ice based attacks.
—Weakness Name: Outside Scope of Design —Description: Even if Dale has managed to exceed the expectations of his initial design, the fact remains – he wasn’t designed to do the things he can. As such, he’s missing a lot of the countermeasures that would mitigate the issues involved in performing these feats, making all of these superhuman feats very physically taxing. When in Orgia mode, Physical skills are half cost instead of free.
—Weakness Name: Hyperactive Threat Assessment —Description: Dale is paranoid. Quite paranoid indeed. He got that way within a week of being out, and it served him all too well since then. But that doesn’t mean the way he’ll jump at shadows is in any way good. It is 15% easier to inflict Fear on Dale.
----- —Racial Weakness Name: Hardware Compatibility Issues —Description: The Rampart was originally designed to work with a very specific type of high-capacity power cell, which allowed a ridiculous amount of usage without any concern of power. Not the cheapest, but if you could afford a Rampart, then you could probably manage. They were also compatible with a variety of other, more common cells. You didn’t get as much output, but you still got usage in line with typical standards, so it was still worthwhile. Dale, thankfully, has been able to find power cells compatible with his stolen gun on Junction. Unfortunately for him, however, they definitely don’t have the same form factor as anything back where he’s from, and the mechanisms for reloading are not the easiest to work with.
The Vydrata can only fit five rounds. Once all the bullets have been expended, Dale will have to spend a turn on reloading his gun before it can be fired again. Should he try to use the Rampart’s rapid-fire mode while he has less than three rounds remaining, he will instead fire however many rounds remain, but otherwise the behaviour is the same.

"My curse is always quite effective..."
"...I'm just not gonna ask." Crow would grumble faintly, looking around a bit now that the beast had fallen...almost unusually fast. Hell, he wasn't gonna complain though, cause he certainly preferred living over getting shredded by some nasty claws. His Hare companion would snicker and wave one thick paw in goodbye before vanishing away. Okay, well, one annoyance out of sight? He'd have to figure that thing out properly later.
Now though, there were more important matters at hand. Sticking the guns into his pockets awkwardly for now, he would soon move over to where the wolf beast was, sitting himself on the ground in a cross-legged position to take a rest while he inspected this torn bag the thing left behind. Was there something in there still? Well, now he had this, and there was still that locked box he currently had set down besides him. "Looks like this went better than expected, eh?"
