Cecil doesn't say anything - not his place to comment on the life of someone he didn't really know well - but what Frog said just then didn't sit well with him. The way he singled out his own family as people that he couldn't really be honest with. He knew well enough himself what it was like not wanting to tell your family everything, but...it seemed like the reasons for that were a lot different than his. That it was worse his situation.
His face fell, briefly. "I guess it is."

Cecil smiled a little stronger at Frog's words. "That's...good to hear. Last thing anyone needs is someone that only pretends to care." He chuckles darkly to himself. "Sometimes, people do this, and it doesn't matter. The other person will never know. Others, they find out, whether they realise later or have it shoved in their face when they go looking for something that was never there."
"People mean well, a lot of times, but they don't think what it means later."

Frog sighed and shrugged defeatedly. "Hey I do realize people tend to have the best of intentions. It's the moral code, after all." He replied. "So at least that can be appreciated."

He had, however, noticed Cecil's different and, too brief, reaction to his previous statement and he started feeling uneasy about it. Uneasy enough to remember he was on his way and had to go back to his daily activities. After all, he was living a double life now. "Yo Cecil I gotta go, but it was nice talking to you. We should meet again sometime, sooo, wanna exchange contacts?"

Cecil has to simultaneously suppress his surprise and an overly wide smile as Frog says that they should meet again. He...mostly manages it. Nodding, he grabs his phone from his pocket and starts digging through it. "Righ-come on sis, really...?" He shakes his head. Not the time to get distracted by texts. "Anyway..number is..." Cecil rattles off his number. "You?"

Frog gave Cecil his number with a smile. "Great, now I can call you when I need to." He nodded happily. "Anyways, I really need to go. Thanks for today."

Cecil was weird, yes. But Frog was weird too. He felt he had at least something in common with the guy and it made it easier to interact if nothing else. Also, it felt reassuring to have another cell phone number weighing his pocket down. His phone's contact list was pretty short, after all...

It's at that point Cecil gives up, and starts grinning like a dumb goof as he plugs the number in and slides his phone back in his pocket. "No problem! This was good!"

As the two part ways, Cecil's gaze turns within, and if he didn't know better, he'd think he noticed a certain sense of smug satisfaction...
But that couldn't be right. Ankou didn't do that.
Still...it lingered.
...alright, fine. It worked out. You happy now?
The only thing that answered him was the sound of haunting laughter in his mind...
