Good News And Bad News [Platinum Playhouse]

It's about time that we get started on the next mission. We can reconvene tomorrow if anything. However, there is the case of paying off the spread of rumors, I hope you can wire some money for me next time Larsinny. When the stakes gets high, so does the expenses. It's the least you can do if we have to do the leg work. "That was it, Gabe no longer paid them any mind. It was their choice to leave, and Gabe brought it upon himself to make the best choice for himself. He never got to a point where he truly felt like he could kill someone, and he hope he never did.

Unison looked to the little goat demon as he mentioned not being on the same side as Skelter and she nodded "I understand Larsinny, you would not see us on his side ether, and I take this as a good sign that we can find a way to work cooperatively with other demons to a more peaceful solution. Subjugation is not the right way to do this" she then looked to Shotaro "I believe that we stand on the same choice of who to follow and who to not follow"




Zappa watched what was going on, killing shadows was fine, but people? that was beyond what she was meant to do, and she simply stepped out of the way as the others headed for the door "If this is the path you walk then you will do so without our support, we will stay with these here and the Demon known as Larsinny..." the robotic voice said as it watched them leave, it's single glowing eye keeping track of them all.

Larsinny didn't seem to keen on the idea of paying. It was already tough enough keeping the Playhouse functioning as it is. And now these brats want some dough? The nerve, but he did have a bit of a point there. What good was he if he did nothing and let them do most of the legwork? Which is why the demon brought up the next topic of discussion. "And speaking of rumors, we oughta hit up Vista Square. Dunno too much about 'dere as far as I'm concerned. But if we manage to bring 'em down, mebbe it'll help us in the long run and help get dat info out there easier, ya see? Something about managing the city's news gives me the faintest idea it should be our next hit. What do ya say to doing a bit of investigative work tomorrow?"

Skelter had left. That situation had ended.
There was still one thing left going on. Something that still needed to happen.

Cecil cleared his throat.

"I appreciate that you appear to be making plans...but I am still lacking the answers I was promised for coming here. If I am to be a part of this, I would at least appreciate it if I could be filled in properly at this point." He looked around himself, at the people surrounding him. "You've made it clear what you want to do. I believe I have an idea why, but I can't say I have the full picture."

"I've heard enough to be willing to help, and I'll see what I can do tomorrow if you'll provide me with the details. But please don't forget I've not been part of this the way the rest of you have."

Unison listened to the little goat demon and nodded a bit, the others having left meant they should focus on their plans and worry about them some other time, the little goat demon mentioned Vista square and she nodded "That would make for a good plan, Free flow of information would aid in our endeavor immensely and if we could wrest control out of the hands of these people all the better...however.." she looked to Larsinny "We may need to proceed slower this time...if our loss earlier proves anything...it's that we need to train before taking such a big risk as an attack when the time comes....however investigation should be doable" she then looked over to the new people, "As for you two...I believe we need to explain what is going on...Shotoro if you would be so kind?" she said simply because Shotaro knew more about what was happening then she was so she thought it best he be the one to explain.


Zaku watched the others leave then listened to the veiled one and the little goat demon talking. But as the other male, the one dressed as a knight, started to talk, the lone glowing eye in the visor moved along it to look at him, he made a good point, he seemed to have no Idea why he was there, and truth be told nether did she "I share the same request for information as this one does, as I have incomplete information on what is going on and moving forward would be foolish without the needed information, it will also make us far more effective in what ever plan you are thinking of enacting if we are brought up to speed"

There were losses indeed just as Trinity said. Much of it really hurt their numbers. But if anything, at least Skelter might be able to pull their weight with the new firepower he gained. Larsinny would be lying if he wasn't concerned for them, but this was the decision they stuck to and he wasn't going to be forcing them to stay. He blinked at the two newcomers. Of course, he forgot they were new.  What a night they chose to come in.

Unison decided to stay quiet as she let Larsinny fill the two new people in, she need no reason to leave as they needed to know that some people where willing to help and stay around if needed.


Zappa listened to the little goat demon and as he explained her single glowing eye continued to shift from the demon to the others in the place, and back again, trying to take it all in, and then he asked what they were there for, "This unit was told to arrive here and meet for answers by someone that spoke to us after an incident involving a demon attack" she said in her robotic voice.

Cecil nods with Zappa's words. "As they have said. Though personally, I would have preferred assistance to a mysterious voice grading us." He shakes his head. "No matter. We are here now."

He pauses. "I have heard a few grievances aired earlier...some more personal than others. But how did this start in the first place, may I ask? Or, to rephrase - why do you think it so important to displace the current government? What other misdeeds and shady dealings have I yet to hear of?"

"So y'all dropped in here thanks to that weird one, huh? Well, a'ight. Welcome to the party." The fluffy creature seemed mildly confused by what they meant. Lately people were joining them thanks to some guy mysteriously dropping in at their time of need. It was so weird and there was nothing that explained why they kept popping up. Not like he'd complain, but there was something weird going on.

Larsinny began to furrow his brows together. Not at the newcomers, but at what he had to relay to them. "Believe me, buddy. The Gub'min's groddy and up to no good. They like to put all the blame on us demons, pretty convenien' scapegoats we are. Killing even those da' neva' deserved it! Those Cadets the city like to fawn ova' round up special kids like you and lock ya' up for a bit of brainwashin'. And it doesn't even stop there. Ya see, the City ain't as free as you like to think. There not be an ounce of free will in Endymion, even if ye think there is. Every move someone makes in this city is controlled by the Queen, and those who don't agree with the Queen go missin' and come back as an entirely different person. And we ain't even scratched the surface of all dat. That about do it for ya?"

"More than enough."
If he had any doubts before, he didn't now. It'd just be one thing if it was more traditional atrocities. Murder, and the like. He held no love for them, but it wouldn't have riled him up so much.
They were taking peoples wills and rewriting their identities - and all just for disagreement, or being able to fucking defend themselves. It was an idea that not only appalled him, but absolutely infuriated him, and the reasoning only made that worse.
Whatever they did, whatever they were, these were people lives. Their beings. And they were something that should be their own, rather than something shaped and puppeteered by other people.
He'd never felt this angry, before, both on a conscious and subconscious level.
Honestly, he should have probably been more sceptical about the whole thing. He had nothing to go off of but the word of a demon and the mutterings of terrorists.
But really? This didn't seem all too ridiculous in the moment, especially after having to deal with a corpse-eating mind-screwing demon earlier. And it was not something he was taking chances on.

Cecil's voice took a more forceful tone, the metallic echo slightly stronger than before. "I'm with you. I refuse to let this stand."

Zappa's eye glowed a bit brighter as she heard the issues happening clearly not enjoying hearing about it "I see...though this group seems fractured....I will help where I can, though...it sounds like one was lost already....as well as a large group having slip of to form a splinter faction...but I will stay here, if other Demons are willing to help like you, then I see no reason to subjugate them....by the sounds of it, that is exactly what the queen is doing but with people..." she said simply.

With that both Unison and Zappa both left, Though Unison had some issues with what happened, most of the people she considered allies had all left to join this skelter person, and she had to wonder, if they were really willing to kill to achieve their goals.

Zappa meanwhile was glad to know there where people willing to do things differently then the way the government seemingly was, hopefully the group that split off would stay out of there way, she wasn't going to kill them if they did get in the way, but she would make sure her new allies survived.
