| "That's great to hear!" she crowed, resisting the tempting urge to pump her fist in triumph. She was scared she would have lost him for a moment! Susan had even phrased it as a favor to impose obligation, but she should have realized that placing a responsibility on others wasn't an infallible method. Either way she got what she wanted in the end and was very fortunate she did so! Cecil held a lot of potential that she would like to see pointed in a productive direction, he was smart and accommodating and could be a real asset if given the chance. She would be foolish to let him drift away and do whatever it is that burnouts end up doing, like pumping gas for a living. It felt so good to help people! "Thank you again, Cecil. I look forward to calling you tomorrow, I should say about... 6 o'clock in the evening? I should be off work around that time," stated Susan, tapping his information into the mess that was the desktop notes of her tablet as she relayed the schedule for both their benefits. She would have to remember to throw in a reminder later lest she get caught up in something. It wouldn't do to forget an engagement she promised to make no matter what was going on. "It was very nice meeting with you Cecil, and I greatly appreciate all the help you've given me but I must be going. Have a pleasant day!" Susan would begin to march off in high spirits, ecstatic over how their exchange went, but only got a few steps before she realized exactly where she was and what she was doing. "Whoops, nearly forgot..." she mumbled, more to herself than anyone else. The businesswoman picked up a box under the display of the Fiagro headsets and hovered over towards the counter. She had let it slip her brain that she was supposed to be purchasing headphones. Also the marketing data from Kaitlynn. She was very hopeful that the data she had taken from Cecil aligned with current purchasing trends... ~~EXIT~~ | |

| Dear god, she really was enthusiastic about this. It was a strange thing to behold. "That...that works." He stands there, watching with a slightly bewildered expression on his face as she says her goodbyes and goes off. "You too, Susan." Sighing after she seems to have gone, Cecil goes back to where the CosmosG500s are, looking at the headphones with a conflicted expression. He could technically afford them, but the price was a bit more than he was comfortable with spending. He didn't have nearly as much money to throw about as the woman he'd just met, after all. Speaking of... He notices as Susan suddenly comes back into view with a Fiagro box in hand, putting it on the counter. He...hadn't actually expected her to buy anything. That she'd actually gone ahead and decided to get one of the pairs he'd recommended put a little hint of a smile on his face. He returns his attention to the Cosmos one last time, before sighing and heading over to grab the Nautilus GXs, in the end. It wouldn't be as nice, but he had to stick within his range. After Susan leaves, he walks up in turn to buy his own headphones, paying for them before leaving with a strange expression on his face. One that quickly turns wary as a thought strikes. ...I'm doomed if I let that call come in while I'm at home. Absolutely doomed. They'll take it out of context, and I'll never hear the end of it.He was going to have to be prepared for tomorrow. --> [EXIT] | |
