Appearance: Standing 2m tall and weighing approximately 500kg it's quite clear that James is something other than human, some of the implants are visible on his skin and so are some scars of the war. His skin is slightly tanned from all the time he spent out under the sun, his hair is black, short and somewhat spiky. He has a well kept beard.

His wardrobe has become quite formal ever since he entered the world of politics, black suits and ties. At most times he will be wearing the same pair of shades.

Personality: For a war veteran and politician, James is surprisingly sociable and talkative, perhaps even a bit of a rogue person, living by his own code. N.01 also seems to be very relaxed and easy going, taking things at his own pace, avoiding rushing himself or be bothered with the fast pace that life seems to take, enjoying the moment as much as he can. Though he does know when to apply himself and act seriously, especially when it comes to helping a loved one, he won’t think twice before dropping whatever he is doing to help. Furthermore, it’s worth noting that he greatly values loyalty and is quite loyal to his friends himself.

However under his friendly and playful attitude lies the scars of war. He barely gets sleep, tormented by memories of the war and the phantom pain of losing most of his body, every night he can feel his legs, his arms, the comrades he lost… it won’t stop hurting. While no one is watching he attempts to drown his sorrows in alcohol. N.01 also regrets some of his actions during the war, seeing as he was not so different from the rebels after all.

—Description: Even super cyborgs need combat training, before being deployed all soldiers have been instructed in the use of guns, especially rapid fire guns and pistols, he knows where to hit in order to cause maximum damage. Adam receives a 15% damage boost to Gun damage.

—Strength Name:The flesh is weak
—Description: After all the implants, cyborg limbs and even some organs it’s hard to call his body human, he is more of a machine with fleshy bits. While it came at the cost of his humanity, his body is beyond the normal human capabilities, being capable of surviving wounds that could be fatal for most humans and stunning feats of super strength.

—Strength Name: Special Gadgets
—Description: His sunglasses aren’t just for show, it’s practically a smartphone with it’s own database, capable of taking photos, recording video and audio, even comes with a few apps. Though the only advantage in combat is that it helps his precision in combat, increasing his Luck stat by 10%.

—Strength Name:Pragmatism
—Description:It’s not cheating or lying if you don’t get caught, that’s what James’ grandfather taught him. So in a battle, be it physical or of wits anything goes, lying, cheating, putting the enemy off through mind games. Through the years he has become quite adept at doing it, whatever works in his favor is a valid method.

—Strength Name: J.U.L.I.A
—Description: On top of being a personal computer of sorts, his glasses also have a shackled AI installed to it that interacts and gives advice to the veteran at all times, she is pretty upbeat and seems to look out for his health, he likes it or not. Though, if he is particularly pissed off, he may just turn off communications. J.U.L.I.A stands for nothing, whoever projected her thought that's how you name AIs.

—Description: The Liber Gene remains in James despite being mostly a machine now days. People with the Liber Gene are immune to mind control and suggestion, the exception being soul powers, yet they still show great resilience towards such powers. He is 15% more resistant to the Charm and even when he inflicted with it, it always goes away after 1 turn.

—Weakness Name:Phantom Pain
—Description: Despite the cybernetic limbs and appendages, the soldier still feels from their loss, at times he’ll feel intense pain where those limbs where despite the current replacement being immune to pain. At times of great stress and panic this pain will grow extremely intense, causing the man to contort and yell in agony. Should James be inflicted with Fear or Distress it will last 1 extra turn and for each turn that he suffers from those ailments he’ll lose 2% of his total HP.

—Weakness Name:Ghosts from the past
—Description: The war still follows him, even after all these years. When alone he falls to bouts of depression and self loathing, if he manages to fall asleep for one whole night it’s a miracle. Needless to say, even as a machine that the lack of sleep and heavy drink will affect his performance during the day.

—Weakness Name: Weird science
—Description: The scientists who projected his robot body did not account for people with elemental magic, or magic at all. As such he is more vulnerable to such attacks, any Zio attack he receives deals 10% more damage.

—Weakness Name:Can’t it wait a bit?I’m in the middle of some calibrations.
—Description: A cyborg body might sound awesome, but for daily life it causes a lot of hindrances, if something is not properly regulated he might apply too much pressure when grabbing something or push something with too much strength, the opposite might happen too, not holding something with enough strength and letting it fall. Some limbs and appendages might become unresponsive, going to the opposite direction he wishes or just not working at all.

—Description:Under the metallic body, the heart of a man beats. Also, his head seems to have been mostly left untouched, save for a one or two implants and metal bones. Either way, it’s his most vulnerable part, a knife or bullet aimed at it will surely end his life.

The Background

History: (Refer to Lucian Clarke’s sheet for more details about Scarred Earth)Born in the year of 3062 to a worker class young New Yorkian couple, James had a somewhat troubled early life, getting himself involved with some local gangs and getting in trouble with some locals, though that was only a phase and they never caused any serious damage. They were more like childish contests between the more assertive individuals. While not luxurious he couldn’t really complain about his condition either, his family was pretty close to him, especially his paternal grandfather. During the old man’s funeral was the first time someone had ever seen the young James cry and sob.

He led a mostly normal life, he god himself a job, a lover. Things only really changed when James made the decision to enlist himself to help in the conflict against the Rebels, he thought it was patriotism and that it would make his country a better place. In their first conflict they had to clean a warehouse filled with rebel forces, it all end smoothly until they reached the last man, he held a detonator in his hands and should he press the button everything would blow to pieces, James had to land one shot to stop the man… yet he missed, everyone inside that building met their demise, everyone but him that is. After blacking out he’d wake up in an operation table to find out his arm alongside other inner parts had been replaced with mechanical parts, he had been selected to be the first cyber super soldier due to his great resilience.

After that he was used as a commander and poster boy, the man who gave his flesh and blood to protect the country. He was put into as many combats as possible to show off the superiority of their soldiers and test the cybernetic implants, and at each combat he accumulated more injuries and lost limbs, and each time he sustained a fatal wound it would be replaced by robotic parts or cybernetic implants until there was more machine than man left. And as the war raged on, a sentiment of regret and sympathy towards the rebels grew inside Jame which eventually led to him letting unarmed rebels flee while no other soldier was around. That eventually reached the ears of the rebellious leaders who captured the soldier and revealed him the truth about the world and himself, at first he denied it and even attempted to escape. N.01 eventually returned home, but the memories of war and the things that the rebels told him lingered for so long.

To make a change, James entered the world of politics, using his reputation as a war hero and promising laws to help war veterans who were injured to elect himself. Eventually he met a man named Lucian, another politician, the two forged a tight bond. Together the two would run a political campaign for presidency to make the changes they wished for. The two won and started to push their agenda, of course that didn’t went under the radar of the Horseman and they planned to off the two before their second mandate. However outside sources seem to have saved the president and vice president’s lives, as Washington was pulled into a whole new world.
