| Well, just what he needed, some good morning food that was not pre heated or came with an instruction manual. Not that he didn't know how to cook properly but he never got that traditional Tokyo flavor that this chef was famous for. he took a seat in the Japanese style restaurant that you could even see what the chef was doing due to the lack of separations and the fact that it was all very open, just what you would expect from this kind of establishment. The red haired would eye his menu losing himself in all the options as one seemed even better then the other, letting out an indecisive sigh. ~ Now, what to choose... ~ | |

| A combination of savory and sweet smells would tickle Liam's nostrils as he entered the restaurant. It was a simple and compact place with a number of diners coming in to enjoy the traditional meal of the archipelago. He could hear the sound of metal scraping and plates being stacked behind the closed doors of the kitchen ahead. Soon they ceased upon Liam's arrival heralded by the door's twinkling bell. "いってらっしゃいませ. Welcome. How many? One?" The young man exited through the doors to greet the Psyche Terrorist. | |

| The smell was distracting enough to get his head out of the menu and enjoy it, until he was greeted by what was supposedly the chef of this place. ~ Oh, wow. ~ Oh really wow, that guy was fine. And he looked around his age too? How was he the chef of this restaurant? Liam couldn't help but stare at him for a moment before averting his eyes, a little bit flustered, trying to process what he said and the fact that his brain decided to just focus on his appearance for a minute there. ~ Yes! I want one, please. ~ After that poor display of social skills he just tried to smile politely for a while, unsure if he just got-by-surprise-customer-that-didn't-expect-this chef guy or the creepy customer guy. | |

| Edward blinked in confusion, but nevertheless nodded and gestured him towards a seat to sit down. As his customer did, Edward handed him a menu to look from. As expected, it was full of traditional Japanese dishes. But there were some fusion and modern meals that could be ordered from here, as if showcasing the chef's ability to cook. He waited for him to choose before leaving. | |

| He got to his seat, scratching his head before getting the menu and sighing about what he just did. ~ Sorry about earlier, I was just surprised someone my age was running this place. ~ He laughed a little out of being nervous, thinking that maybe that little bit of explanation was necessary but still as awkward as the moment earlier to this and focused himself on the menu before going back to him with any answer. ~ I would like some gyudon, please. ~ | |

| "Your order will be out in a few minutes." Edward shrugged and wrote down the order on a note with a ink pen and a small notebook. With all that said, he quickly moved back to the kitchen without another word. He was a young man of little words when there was work to be done. Young or not, the young chef had his eye on the goal. Though he came out a moment later with a glass of water with a bowl of miso soup and set it before him. "Complimentary. Enjoy."
Again he was gone. The sound of the kitchen working can be heard. Savory smells and the sound of fire roaring leaked from the kitchen. It was just minutes since he last came out. But when all was done and over with, he found himself handing a bowl of gyudon to Liam. It was topped with well-cooked beef over rice with a savery onsen tamago with bitter beni shoga to the side. "Sorry to keep you waiting, here's your gyudon. Let me know how it is."

| ~ Thanks! ~ Although he was trying to keep the conversation friendly enough, the other guy seemed a little more serious in his work then willing to chat with him, even if for a little bit. He wouldn't mind that kind of behavior but he felt intrigued by the fact that he was so hard working at that age and the other fact that he almost instantly came back with food for him. ~ Hard working and brings me free food? You are my best buddy right now! ~ The red haired kept on smiling to him until he got in again to make the food and as soon as he did that he dug in with the glee only a Irish warrior could have. The moment Edward is back He is still digging at it (even if it is just soup) and he just notices the cook again when he speaks. ~ Wow, you're fast. ~ Liam does a little bow before setting the soup aside for a little time just to give the chef an opinion, getting a good part of and eating it happily. ~ This is good! You are awesome at this, ya? ~ His happy go lucky demeanor takes over because of good food, and that was one he was enjoying a lot. | |

| Edward didn't seem to break his facade despite how positive and bubbly his customer was. It wasn't like he was the first person acting like this, though it was welcomed. Especially with as much vigor as his peer had while eating. The chef glanced at the clock near him and judged that he had some time before moving back into the kitchen. "Time and a little effort is all you need to be decent at it. I've never seen you here before. New here?" | |

| He was happy that the food was good, sure, but it was actually kinda nice to see that the chef didn't directly go back to the kitchen to do another meal and decided to stop by and exchange a few words with him. After a brief mental Nice! and some finishing munches, he answered. ~ Yeah, but you are good at this. I should ask for some pointers, actually. ~ He smiled before going on. ~Yeah, head people talking about it, came to check myself... I'm Liam, nice to meet ya! ~ He would offer his hand out but thought that the guy would appreciate a moderate bow better (and he had to fit some time between the conversation to eat, too!) | |

| "It's just following directions and practicing. You gain experience on how food works the more you handle it in the long run," Edward readily supplied. He was used to people asking how he became so good. It's just the process of doing it that was more than enough to become proficient in the skill. While he was taught, it was his efforts and applying himself that got him to where he was now at such a young age. "Edward Fox. Good to hear more people are coming by. It helps a lot and there's no reason for me to turn them back."
That's how restaurants live, more or less. The less people come by to pay for food, the more likely the establishment would fail. Every new customer was a boon and a pleasure to serve for a chef.

| ~ Following directions and practicing, huh? You would do well in the dojo then, ya? But then I should be better at cooking, hm... ~ He ate some more of the gyudon while thinking about it, but he wasn't wrong. in fact, he himself was proof that dedication and drive can go a long way but he had some different motives then the rest... or did he? ~ Your food speaks for you, Edward! But say... What got you into this business? ~ He was curious now about the meaning behind this guy's drive. Maybe he could apply the same thing for the things he had been wanting for so long with martial arts as well and that guy might be part of the key to that. | |

| "Dojo? No, I don't have time for that," Edward raised an eyebrow and dismissed that. He had a family to take care of, consisting of his siblings. Taking time off from work would just decrease how much money he could get to support them. And school was bad enough to force him to not work full time. "I just liked it enough to work longer. It's nothing really special. And you? You do some kind of karate?" | |

| ~ So busy like that? It's relaxing, try it some time ya? ~ He kept his sheepish smile on his face before eating some more good food and listening to him. ~ Nah, I do Kung fu. And sword fighting. A lot of sword fighting. ~ He tried to demonstrate a little with one of the chopsticks, but it was not the best to do that movements while sitting o they all looked like a funny air drawing, which Liam couldn't do anything but laugh about. | |

| Edward shrugged as he didn't have much to say about his schedule. All there is just to keep working, that's all there is to it. But he sported a small smile from faint amusement with the brandishing of chopsticks. He found himself glancing at the clock, it was time to go. But not before the chef pulling out a check out for Liam. Normally the customers would have to call out for them, yet Edward decided to provide a little more special service. "Take your time and pay when you're ready. A server will pick it up for you. It was nice seeing you, Liam. I hope you'll come by again to try my food."
He gave a nod and proceeded to return to the kitchen again.

| This conversation seemed more like a list of little things O'Neill could accomplish while Edward was there and he was glad to see he got both a good time with him and also a small smile, which was a victory on itself on the first time seeing him. He would keep his upbeat attitude if the look to the clock and check wasn't a clear indication that the time for the chef to came back was imminent, making the smile on his face fade a bit. ~ Nice seeing you too Edward, and I'm happy to say you got a new client. ~ He nodded back to him, feeling happy about all of that and taking his time to eat everything he had on his table like an Irish would, paying everything and drawing a little sword on the back of the check just in case the owner saw it. - EXIT - | |
