Edward looks young for his age. He looks like he's 15 years old. He likes to dress casually so as to not stand out from the crowd. He has brown, wavy hair, medium length but he doesn't let it grow out too much. His most unusual characteristic is the white eyepatch on his left eye. He lost that eye during the experiments that were done on him. A scar is across his whole left eye and even with the eyepatch it can still be seen. He still has his eye but he can't see with it. Edward's right eye is intact and the color is brown.

Edwards clothes usually consist of a white coat, red T-shirt blue jeans and white snickers. His right ear is pierced by two silver earrings. He is also usually seen carrying a book. He has a bad habit of sticking his tongue out, so he usually can be seen with it out.

Personality:

Edward is a simple person. He doesn't like complicated things and will usually go for the most straightforward solution. He tries his best to stay out of dangerous situations, it doesn't mean that he will ignore a person in danger, but he will only step in if that person is in grave danger.

Edward sees that attitude not as cowardice but as cautiousness. During his years of running and hiding he started to see this behavior as the only way to survive. Due to that he is very slow to trust people. But once he does start trusting them he will protect them with all his might.

He does have a more cruel side to him. It usually shows when he is fighting or when the Yachiru Group is involved. When he does fight he usually enjoys it, thus he has a smile on him during most of his fights. Edward hates that side of himself but doesn't go out of his way to avoid fights since even he knows that deep down he enjoys it.

Edward's hobbies are reading books, infact he has a book which he is almost always seen with. He doesn't have a lot of other hobbies, but he likes to travel, especially when going to places he hasn't been to before. He likes the sense of adventure and it helps to keep his mind at peace.

Edward also has a couple of bad habits. One of them is sticking his tongue out, it's out most of the times and sometimes, when he enjoyed a fight too much, he noticed himself licking the blood of himself. He also becomes more talkative, usually mocking his enemies and laughing. Some might mistake Edward for being mad and he wouldn't disagree with them

The Background

History:

Edward was born to loving parents in Japan. Edward's father was Japanese while his mother was English. Both of his parents worked for the Yachiru Group as scientists. Edward idolized his parents during his childhood.

That changed when his parents offered Edward to become a test subject to become a forgotten. He was ten at the time that happened. Edward himself is not sure of the reasons why they did so, but even till this day he hopes that they had a good reason to do so. When being separated from his parents Edward remembers seeing them crying and hugging them for goodbye but after that day he has never seen his parents.

A forgotten must go through various tests, which are usually quite painful even with all the sedatives. Edward wouldn't say that the scientists were evil, but they weren't kind either. Most of them were rather cold to Edward but never outright cruel. They rarely talked to him except for the questions that they were required to ask.

Due to the painful tests that he had to go through his young mind was warped. And if it wasn't for one scientist he would have probably lost his mind. That scientists name was Masumi. The forgotten were usually kept away from each other so the only source of socializing were the scientists. Masumi was the only scientists who actually cared for Edward and he appreciated it.

The process of becoming a forgotten took a couple of months and after that he was trained to fight. Thus he had to complete training regimes, which were usually unforgiving and pushed him to the very limit. In one of those training regimes he had to fight a shadow. Edward was doing well against it at first but he got careless and the shadow managed to slice his eye which led to him losing sight in his left eye.

Edward spent a couple of years in the group being trained and experimented on, until he was able to escape. The scientist, Masumi, helped him to escape. He escaped when he was fifteen years old. He was able to escape thanks to an explosion in the laboratory. Edward doesn't remember what actually happened during the escape but he does remember Masumi escaping with him.

After escaping the laboratory together with Masumi, both of them traveled together. Masumi had the skills of creating fake documents thus she was able to create a fake passport for Edward. The first place that they traveled was America. During the travels Masumi thought Edward various things. Due to Edward leaving school and the scientists not concentrating on his studies. While Edward had trouble of learning various basics, he had not trouble of learning languages. Having learned English in a span of months

After spending a year travelling around the USA, both of them left for other countries travelling around the world. Everything changed when Edward reached 17 years. Edward and Masumi had been staying in London for a month when the Yachiru Group found them. When they found them their only objective was to kill Edward. A fight ensued during which Masumi was killed. Edward having lost control of his emotions killed the two agents.

After loosing his only friend Edward was lost. He didn't know what to do but decided to continue travelling. During his travels he had to fight against shadows, but the agents weren't able to find him again. Edward only recently arrived to the islands and was lucky enough to find a job. He is not expecting to stay for long thought and wants to leave as soon as he gets enough money to travel again.

Mm, looking good. I'll just need you to add his exact height. Also, the lenght of the blade on his weapon. Do that, and you're good.

Anyway, the attack type is Slash then. There isn't a thing such as Impact here, whatever you meant by that. We only have Slash, Pierce and Strike ^^

Alright, done.

By impact I meant punching, so maybe striking would fit that category?

Technically speaking, yes. Strike is mostly when you use the weapon to smash into someone. Slash is anything that slices like swords and pierce is when it goes 'through' like arrows and such. In your case, both Slash and Strike could work. But you can only pick one. So yeah, Slash can do.
