New Buildings Indeed.....(Kogami)

The moment she heard news of a new building being built, Lorielle Rutherford was there. She didn't remember at the time of looking what they were making, probably some gas station or something. To her knowledge, there wasn't much to expect from Iwagodai. But it was going to be built in an area of that town she had never been to. She had worn short jean shorts going barely above her knees, and a white shirt, expecting the heart from the smog and dust to get to her at some point. Against her better judgement she took her black jacket as well, mostly for her own protection and a piece of mind.

She had also stolen one of her family's small knives for protection. She didn't want to know where she was going was dangerous, but she didn't want to get caught and have her parents suspicious that where she was going might in fact be dangerous. So this was a nice piece of insurance slipped into one of her coat pockets. She got onto the tram, and headed for the town which wasn't all that difficult in hindsight. She went into town already looking for directions and trying to compliment the place in her head, being as generous as possible. But it was a bit messy this town, even causing her at certain points to cover her nose with her shirt.

She explored around a bit before picking up directions to the site not really finding it difficult to look for it. Eventually she found the site where the modestly large area was being worked on. She was across the street and could see the building in her head as supports were being laid down. It looked like some kind of gas station or something, she could be wrong. It didn't seem all too crowded where she was, so she just stood there looking at the streets so she knew where she was in case.

Kogami was walking around and about with his people. By his people, he meant the thugs that resides in iwagodai . there was many unfinished projects that The company here had simply never bothered with, so there was plenty of hideouts. Even though it seemed that there was nothing there, there was still corner stores and the such. The residents of this place still had to make a living, and if their biggest customers are hoodlums, then they would cater to their interests. Kogami then waves, as an indication that he would meet up with them later. “Alright , time to… what?” Kogami saw something interesting. A girl was just standing there. “ Wow, a new neighbor… I guess its time for me to get acquainted huh… Hi!” Kogami calls out to the girl with a friendly wave.

As she was looking her eyes caught sight of a boy who was waving at her direction. She also noticed that he had said hi. A bit obviously now that she thought of it. He was too far away to have to be as loud as he was, and he seemed very....chipper for lack of a better word. 'Is he saying hi to me....?' she thought to herself. She couldn't get a very good look at him from far away and didn't try to in case he meant for someone else. But she did catch that his hair was white and he had a noticeable tan body. She suddenly felt slightly removed from him, as he reminded her of a boy she knew all too well.

But that was a bit ago. In any case, if she waved back she will find out if he was in fact calling to her. And it could be exciting. As exciting as meeting a strange man in a place that he could probably kidnap her in could be. She waved her hand up to her head and making a small wink, she waved back. She didn't say it nearly as loud as he did, and he probably wouldn't have heard anyway. "Hello," she said back.

Kogami didn’t really hear her at first, but he would have guessed that she said hi. She seemed inviting enough so he started walking over. “This place is pretty dangerous for a girl of your standards, not to say that you cant handle yourself. Carrying any sharp object or blunt weapon is way too common nowadays so I wouldn’t be surprised. “ Kogami says this with a light chuckle, he pretty much noticed that the girl was not from around here. It was the vibe that she gave off, very strange. “whats your name? What are you doing here anyway..if you don’t mind me asking”

She didn't know what to think. Not that he seemed like a common criminal or anything, really she didn't think that. But he was walking over, apparently he was in fact waving to her. He stopped in front of him so she could get a better look. He was wearing seemingly normal clothes. Though he seemed...a bit more unkempt if she could be so bold. She actually put her hair in a ponytail to get it out of her sweaty face when coming here. She gave a smile when he stopped in front of her and listened as he spoke. He almost seemed like he was trying to be a gentleman. Not that she didn't appreciate it, but she certainly loved to point out how prepared she actually was.

She laughed a bit almost in a mocking innocent tone. It was meant to be a joke to him. She padded the left side of her chest smiling once again at him. "Don't worry, I will be just fine," she said. She also noticed that he didn't seem to offer up his own name when he asked for hers. He is direct indeed. But hey, that can make for interesting talks. "I'm Lorielle. I came cause I heard there was a new building here. I wanted to see how it was going," she said gesturing across the street to the current construction going on at the building.

“ Ahh… right… that’s too bad… because your not going to be fine.. Well you are..now… because im here. No no… im not a hero… theres just a few condemned rapists a block away. They stay at one of the abandoned construction sites out here. Its funny how this building company never tries to finish what they started in their own area, yet they develop over everywhere. I guess it goes to say that with the amount of cops, some would think that catering to one area that is already listed as a ghost town is a lost cause. Pigs..” Kogami then takes out his book and starts to sketch her. “ lorielle huh? Kogami shibuya, I doubt you remember me. I saw you once, only once though… at school. Well wasn’t I a total doucebag. “ Kogami says this as he writes the word adventurous under lorielle’s name. It was his own habit of keeping tabs on people, he found every new meeting to be an interesting door. However, all of Kogami’s new friends are now criminals. He tends to keep them in check with his current street thread that was gained with the school rebellion and his attempt to help them get back at abel.

“So is this the part where you try to run or, call the cops or…. Well.. take your time… ill wait..”

She smiled and raised an eyebrow slightly at his words. Does he mean he intends to rape her? Or does he actually intend on protecting her? Either way, he is an odd duck. If push comes to shove he better offer a good reward or be prepared for what she has. In her mind it is a complete bluff, as she knows nothing of what this man is capable of. She had never been inside the construction sites themselves, and now if he is to be believed, she probably won't be, not to mention she can practically breathe in the animosity for the cops he has on his lips and looked back at him. "Well hopefully the rapists know what will be coming. Thank you anyway," she said.

"Hello Kogami. That is certainly a Japanese name," she said, her British accent coming out, something that hasn't been done in a while. It is practically reflex at this point. She then thought for a bit. 'I honestly don't remember him....but.....can't be rude...' she thought. "Sorry, I don't remember you at all. You would have stuck out," she said. 'Wasn't I supposed to be nice?...' .....In any case she looked out at other construction sites while he spoke trying to get the layout of the area so she knew. If he was right, then perhaps she should head home a bit earlier than planned. She looked back at him.

"Are you a wanted criminal? If you are I haven't heard of you. So I can't call the cops. You also haven't done anything to me to warrant the cops...yet," she said giggling a bit, albeit meaning that seriously.

“Well that was definitely an interesting answer in its own right. That’s alright, I haven’t done anything outstanding in the first place and I wouldn’t call myself as a memorable guy to begin with. So yea, that about sums it up.” Kogami then wonders what to say next, the idea comes to him. “Don’t worry, your not In danger. I haven’t fallen so low that I would go out my way to assault women now… “ He was then wondering if she could do it, the same things that he was able to do, that masami was able to do, he wondered if the potential was there. “ So since were here, wana talk?””

"But we are talking." She laughed a bit when he gave her a compliment of sorts, or if that wasn't a compliment, she liked to think it was. "Are you sure you haven't done anything? Saying that I may call the cops makes me wonder..." she said putting her finger to her lips thinking as a joke. "Only kidding. In any case...I am glad I am safe. And in case I am not..." she said reaching over the left of her chest into her jacket to pull out a small pocket knife that she didn't brandish for the world, but she did show it to him, and let the blade spring out before quickly putting it back. "I have a backup plan just in case it is necessary."

"Hm....if you want to talk, then can we walk to the station or something? I will be going home in a little bit, and I don't want to waste too too much time," she explains. Almost as if not waiting for an answer, she turns and waves for him to follow as she slowly starts to walk down the sidewalk.

“I guess that’s right, ill be right here to escort you…just in case someone decides to pull a gun ..unless you have some crazy knife skills. But I wont be the one to judge or even test your ability with sharp pointy things and the such. “ Kogami then laughs, how fake could it possibly sound when he was feeling all kind of emotions. All it seemed was that he was wrapped up in his emotions as usual. “Hey, do you think there is something strange going on in this town? With the kidnappings and all?

She smiled at him. It was almost relieving to know he didn't intend to harm her. I am glad he doesn't intend to test her. In reality her gesture was a complete bluff. She knew nothing about fighting with a knife. She took kendo in school in her first year, and can use the naginata, which was pretty much all she knew. She laughed along with him. It was genuine to her, and it seemed like he could be trusted enough for now. She thought to herself making a turn on the sidewalk along as he followed. She made sure to be slow enough as to not move ahead of him.

She frowned when he mentioned the kidnappings. She knew of them definitely. It was very annoying, scary, sad, and among many other things to know that was one of the bigger stories in the news. She thought about it and even thought of scenarios as to how it could have been done. "Well surely it is strange. Why is it that only random people are being kidnapped around here? It isn't like they are connected to each other are they...? Maybe the culprit is just a psychotic asshole," she said aloud. She didn't look at Kogami saying it, but surely he heard, as she was suddenly lost in thought thinking about it.

“Now, that would be the regular answer. But lets curb your enthusiasm  shall we? Lets take out the factor that there is an individual involved whatsoever with the missing persons case. Lets add another element to it, supernatural involvement that is causing  the disappearances. Now, this is when it gets crazy. Hypothetically speaking, the person involved with each  disappearance is none other than…. Themselves…. Odd huh?” Kogami said as he walked along the path with her, he was definitely taking his time and what not.  He wouldn’t really call it a beautiful day, just one of those moments where he would actually attempt  to enjoy himself with a not so negative result. But that was an understatement, there was a chance for anything to turn to shit if it involved him . The reason for this was the fact that he always managed to let his anger get the best of him. That was going to change though, he learned a valuable lesson after fighting with a few people. “  Well anyway,  I guess its hard for people to realize is that the skeletons in their closest is the cause. But its only a hypothesis with a great reason, that people who are able to think outside the box in such a way could  agree with, or readily accept.  Sounds like riddles but this information can either be passed as the talk of a crazy man or the invitation to a new world that   comes with the exploration of a lifetime. What you do here, would obviously be left to dry in comparison. No offense…”  Now, the question was her answer to be exact. He wondered what she was going to say.

Lorielle listened to him then pursed her lips at his theory....if one could even call it that. Supernatural? That was almost laughable. She loved the supernatural, but she never believed in things like bad luck, or any of that. But she almost immediately jumped on his theory right when he got finished. "Well hold up, let's slow down for a second. First you have to believe that there is anything supernatural about this at all to begin with. I mean, the idea that there are so many kidnappers in this area kidnapping seems harder to swallow than a lone kidnapper, cause the idea of a kidnapping group seems equally silly," she said.

She didn't go back to the supernatural aspect about it, cause whether it was true or not, it is irrelevant unless something happened that the general public could consider "supernatural". "Also," she continued. "Of course the victims are involved with their own kidnapping, they were there.....or are you saying they kidnapped themselves? I would believe the multiple kidnapper theory before the notion that all the people being kidnapped were kidnapping themselves," she explained. She took another turn, down a side street, knowing that it would take a bit longer to reach the station, but the talk was interesting enough to discuss.

She almost giggled when he mentioned the skeletons. "S-Skeletons? You almost imply that I am not smart to understand your theory. But lets face it, the theory you pose needs a lot of backing, or it has plenty of holes in it. You aren't necessarily incorrect, I have no way to disprove you, but no one would accept the "supernatural" theory or the multiple kidnappers that easily. In fact, I could easily argue that there is a kidnapper that is connected to all of these victims, which to be fair, is very unlikely, but even so, could be looking for multiple people because they do in fact connect to them, or they have some ulterior motive to capturing them. Your turn," she said showing a small smile to him.

“HHow about we test that theory then..shall we… lets see if you even have the altitude for it. “ Ahh yes, it was Koga’s favorite game to play that was called limbo exposure. If she managed to stand on her two feet for 10 seconds while the door opened, she passes. The only way to fail is to get dragged in, but if her darkness that resides in her heart is strong enough to be sustained then she is just like kogami. Someone with something to gain. Koga backtracks to one of the alleyways and then stands next to one of the red doors. He then opens the door quite slightly as a little bit of smoke started to come out, even more than usual. “Oh… sooo…….. Feeling frisky? Come over here, I have to show you something!” Kogami says this with the door wide open, wondering what effects it would have on the body when a regular person is exposed to the power. IT would be even better if she can see something, a glimmer of light or even the door itself. He wanted to know how far was she off from getting power...

Her eyebrow raised at his proposition. Or was it a challenge? She really couldn't tell. It was getting more odd for her by the minute the more he walked with him. As she saw her walk down an alley they just happened to pass by, she grew a bit suspicious. "Hm? Where are you going...?" she said as he walked. Though she didn't join him. It was practically like walking on a tightrope with this guy, and she didn't even know him. She noticed his hand leaving his body to do...something. She couldn't tell honestly. And the moment he said the word "frisky", she suddenly got a bit defensive in her head.

"I'd rather not. That is a prison sentence waiting to happen," she said not moving an inch to join him. Her smile almost faded after saying what she said. She didn't talk rude per se, but she made it clear she wasn't going down there, much less in a place like this. She stood there waiting for his next move.
