No one smiles that much. But rarely does one find Kagami without a grin of some sort curled onto his face. To his credit they are genuine, even if they spring from a source that is less than stable. But no one ever seems to notice without having to stare. All his features carry something a little imperfect, each more unsettling when pieced together with the others. His teeth have a little more edge to them they should, shadows play with images on his skin, the pupils in his eyes sometimes appear like animalistic slits, his body is lean muscle but each of his limbs is slightly longer than seems normal.

His clothes are much like him. In each garment there is a minor fault, frayed stitching or a small tear. Even Kagami has forgotten them all, since it differs from each suit to the next. What does not differ however is the style which he has grown accustomed to. Lord only knows where he gets them all but short of removing an article of it the suit remains a constant. All of it remarkably tailored to fit him well. Business formal attire is perhaps one way to describe it; a collared white dress shirt in contrast to the dress slacks, fedora, dress vest, tie, and traditional trench coat which are colored black. The coat deserves some mention as it's been modified to duster length. And when the occasion calls for it he has a few suits on hand with an inverted color scheme, if only to follow the trends expected. There are a few unusual additions that are just another eccentricity he indulges in. Steel plated brown boots, short brown gloves, and for one reason or another two belts. There's even a pocket watch attached to the latter with a thick silver chain. He likes to strangle people with it.

Transformed state

The only difference here is that hes constantly surrounded by an endeless array of snakes. These strange snakes are completely green, and seen to sprout from from all around his body, even from his shadow, without messing up his clothes. They have a symbiotic presence to them, either following commands or acting on their own. The snakes also regenerate, due to their ectoplasma like qualities. Even though the outer appearence doesnt look like much besides the ectoplasma looking snakes, his insides are another story. Kagami contains characteristics as well, becoming the true embodiment without the monstorous appearence. Small quirks like a forked like tounge, still containing his teeth but with a pair fangs resembling a snake in his mouth, and a very lightly scaled skin thats slightly noticable.

Personality: His personality is a lot like kogami in a sense, but he doesnt contain any of the weaknessess that his other half had. His temper is controlled, and his state of mind is calm and collected. The weakness of trying to trust people, the weakness of doing everything in vain, Kagami doesnt contain any of that. He is also not in tune with his emotions, considering his humane fuctions as the true cause of death towards his other half. Unlike most shadows, he only pitied his other half.

The Potential

—Strength Name: high-fidelity directional hearing
—Description: Just like snakes, Kogami also contains a few of their traits. His jaw is linked directly to his inner ear, allowing Kagami to literally hear surface vibrations. His lower jawbones are separated into two halves in the inside, and the difference in timing between the vibrations received by the two sides informs Kagami of the direction of a person he's following, or keeping track of the movements of the people around him. This serves as a good combat combat ability, as well as an ability for survival. Its the only snake like ability Kagami manages to retain in and out of

—Strength Name:Snake style
—Description: Kagami created his own style involvng his snakes and his soulbound weapon. They involve quick movements, and fighting in unison with his snakes. Even without his snakes, his knife tricks are par with even the best of fighters.

—Strength Name: The wolf in sheeps clothing
—Description: Kagami generates this aura of goodwill and trustworthiness, giving off the imperession of innocence and using it to hide his true nature. One of the reasons why hes always smiling.

—Strength Name: Super Duper Highschool Criminal
—Description: This version of Kogami has perfected the trade and amassed a following in such a short time. He knows who to go to for fake i.d’s and other illegal things, or illegal favors. This also includes having the proper set of skills that a criminal would have, like lock picking etc. Along with the wolf in sheeps clothing perk, they figure that hes good for it and he would pay in other ways, like conning old ladies or something.

—Strength Name: Symbiotic snakes
—Description: In his true self form, the snakes contain all the abilities that a snake would have. Quick, Amazing jaw strength, ontop of the ability to extend, regenerate, and cover Kagami's blind spots if needed to. Sometimes they even act on their own, Forcing Kagami into his true self mode just to block an attack he didnt see coming.

—Description:Because of his death, Kagami is not quick to trust anyone. He promised himself to never allow anyone to hurt him ever again, and keeps somewhat of a wall socially.

—Description: Whenever Kagami sees a Nyra child, he would feel the urge to help out . This counts as a weakness because its an old attachment, when his involvement with lori and self appointment of being the Children's protector was one of the key factors towards his self destruction.

—Description: Kagami makes up for his strength with skill, but hes not nearly as stong as his original self. His strength is about average, which he compensates with his snakes or knife moves.

—Description:Who doesnt like to play for the winning team? Kagami , would switch sides if it benifits him the most. Unlike his original self, his loyalty is not blind and unwaveriing, and only goes as far as the best choice to keep himself alive.

The Background

History: During the early years of his childhood, Kogami was a honest child. He always spent his time in the backyard digging for ancient relics of some kind, when all he found was bones that were put there by his dog. He seeks adventure and would leave out the house at night, going inside abandoned houses with his friends in search of treasure. This gave him the reputation of being a naughty child, parents often scolding him and his grandmother for involving their children is such dangerous activity. Because of this, some of the children avoided contact with Kogami so they wouldn't get in trouble anymore. Kogami would get beatings from his grandmother whenever this occurred, with him promising to never do it again and bending the rules so that he can. Kogami wondered about his mother, how she was when she was alive. His grandmother would tell him stories of how things was when maria was a child. They would always excite him as she told him these memories in various forms that served as bedtime stories. He also wondered why his father did not come to see him, but there was never definite answer when he asked.

At the of fourteen, his grandmother passed away. Kogami was on his own, but his good grades got him into a good highschool. Regardless of what Kogami went through in life, he was trying his best to live a good life and get more involved. Sadly, that did not work as well. Despite his efforts, Koga felt that something was missing in his life. He continues on with his fake smile, while trying to find his place in life and hating others for having perfect lives.

However, he achieved the power of persona and went mad with power. It backfired, and he became nothing more than a criminal, While trying to find leads and win this game he’s been drawn into, he recently been apart of a cult. Because he got involved with lori’s quest to find the killer, it didn’t work out. As a matter of fact, things seem to have gotten worse. The childrens lives were ruined one by one, and Kogami was filled with rage. He even broke out of jail, doing anything he could to get his hands on arubai. He died because of it, crying for help in his last moments. At that moment, Kogami’s shadow was free. It didn’t take long for the shadow to work either, it worked pretty fast. With a fresh identity and the right people to talk to, it was like a much smarter kogami in another body. Since kogami was apparently deceased, the shadow needed a new name. He obtained the fake identity of Kagami Haina, an errand boy of some of the gangs, an influential grunt. However, Kagami had his own plans, plans that didn’t involve any room for mistakes. His anger didnt allow it, to die in such a pathetic place once before, where no one morned over him either. His temper was kept under control, but it still existed, for this shadow is nothing more than the embodiment of that rage
