Bernard had decided to attempt to investigate for this strange demon that night, flapping around she would move over to the Festival Strip of the Dragon's Maw area... After all, if the demon person liked big places, maybe this was the best place to start right? Bernard was a rather perceptive owl due to her sensory capabilities, so finding her would be slightly easier than it would be for a regular normie.

The owl would fly across the strip, her speed capabilities would certainly make navigating around it quite easier due to her small frame.

As the owl soared through the festival strip, there were people walking by the runway. They were people of ordinary backgrounds. They were people that could be approached if done correctly. However, time was short. Bernard or whoever was with them would have to get to work to get as much information as possible or risk losing some leads.

It seemed Bernard was gonna be forced to attempt to talk to people. Great, how the fuck would an owl of all creatures talk to these normies now?

Just great, but it was at that moment Bernard would develop a plan. She would flap around the small area and look for a discarded or conveniently dropped cell phone, a preferentially easy to use one. Upon sighting one, she would then hoist it carefully in her talons and move into a hidden corner behind one of the stands around them. Tapping as gently as possible like she had done when the young hoo tried to play video games, Bernard would access the voice record button and then put in the following.

Have you seen a schoolgirl? One with long black hair and pale skin.

Upon recording this, bernard would then prepare the cellphone carefully so that she could carry it and then deploy it to ask people of the area where the girl was. For now, Bernard would play into her womanly hoo charms, and flap her way over to theGossipy Schoolgirls. First she would land near them with the cellphone, flapping her arms and looking as cute as possible in order to gather their attention while hooing.

When they would get near, she would play the voice clip while gesturing at the phone, if they couldnt understand the obvious cues, then bernard would internally screech.

"Like I said before Julie, Jake's a complete dork. He can't stop screwing up as usual," sighed the girl with the headband, "Doesn't help that Liz keeps messing with him."

The girl in the white shirt chimed in, "C'mon, Jen. A guy like that isn't worth it. Besides, you can't keep-- huh?"

To the surprise of both girls, an owl flew over to them. It was completely out of nowhere and they had little idea why it came over here of all places. Did it come from the Sunlake Palms Forest? To more of their confusion, it had a phone and it sounded like it was a recorded message of sorts? Were owls capable of stuff like this? The girls could only wonder.

But that confusion didn't last very long. "Oh my God! It can use a phone? I didn't know owls can do that! Julie hold my phone! I need to selfie this!"

Both girls seemed rather excited as each one pulled out their devices and began their amateurish and narcissistic attempts at photography. When they left their pockets, flashes flooded the owl as Jen leaned towards the animal.

Hoo Hoo?The owl cood as she would stare very confused at the humans, they seemed very bewildered at the fact that the owl was capable of using a cell phone, Indeed it would come off as rather strange, but bernard had to take some chances with this one. That is, until the wild humans decided to start spamming flashdynes at her face.

It was rather frustrating, the owl would grab the phone and screech at them before flapping away to ask someone else, they were clearly being idiots about this and wouldn't take her seriously.

She had to think now...Who would be a good target to ask, and so the little hoo would flap her way over to the schoolboy that looked scared, and would attempt to interact with him. Doing the same method of pulling the phone in front of him after hooing for his attention, and then playing the voice message at him.

To the girls' chagrin, the owl left their company rather quickly for their tastes. But not quickly enough to be another working cog of the slew of new social media sensations. A boy was walking near by, as if hoping to end the day back at home. But his luck would have it that he needed to delay it a little longer.

"Huh?" he blinked at Bernard. Like the girls, the boy was just as confused as they were an owl proved to be capable of using modern electronics. At first he rubbed his eyes, wondering if he was feeling tired as usual. "Not sure if dreaming or just losing my mind... but I'll bite."

"Well... they say there's some girl in uniform making passes around with people at night sometimes.
She doesn't even look like she's from Seven Stars. I think she's a transfer? I've never seen her.

Bernard would hoo, as a form of thanks, before doing an obligatory cute pose directly at the boy. She would pick up the phone, and then start to flap off. Debating who else to attempt to ask now, the owl would flap her way over tot he suspicious young thug, and hoo over for his attention.

After managing to get his attention, she would place down the phone and play the message that was on the phone in an attempt to ask him about the girl.

A boy was squatting around near a stall. His squat had his heels up, it would likely lead to many genuine Slavs to call him a "Western spy." But he was in Endymion where he never had to experience the anxiety of losing his cover in the middle of a Slavic empire run by Communism. But he wasn't protected from being accosted by an owl of all things. "The hell...? The hell does a feather-rat like you want with one?"

He seemed rather annoyed than surprised by Bernard's presence. But strangely enough, he capitulated. "Don't got much off the top of my head. But I think there's one messing with Psyche-Terrorists with a bunch of demons from what I heard. Some of the Terrorists been silent, dunno why. Don't they usually fight back or something? Hell if I know, I don't get involved in that dumb shit."

It seemed bernard was not gonna get much out of this person, outside of them telling some strange details about how the person messed with terrorists with her own demons. Bernard did not really care about them, but it did bring some concern. The owl would throw an obligatory hoo, then flap her way over to bother the business man for information. Doing the exact same thing she did to the past 3 people wher eshe flapped over, gathered their attention then did the cellphone thing.

The boy only shrugged and went back to fiddling his thumbs on the screen of his phone when the owl departed. The last person to be harassed by the featherbrain was your usual businessman. Who was evidently still rather busy talking on the phone. At least not for much longer when he finally pressed the off button conveniently at the same time Bernard played the message. When he finally looked down, it was the owl and the phone. He was pointing at the owl, as if wondering it was her. On one hand he was rather tired from all these hours typing off keyboards and pencil pushing. But on the other hand, he was still relatively coherent.

"Hey, Buddy? That your phone? Kinda too big for you, ain't it?" he mused at the reality in front of him, "Well, I dunno much about any particular girl you want, but there's been a lot of divorces going around, affairs abound. I bet it's a good day to be a divorce lawyer right about now."

The man sighed and wondered about the realities he lived in. He lived a stable life, sure. But it felt rather stagnant unlike what these divorce lawyers went through. He had little doubt they were enjoying the drama, but even if they didn't, they were paid to get involved in them. "Some of them own some successful businesses. Maybe that girl's been fooling around with them? Heck, maybe that ain't a bad idea with a pair of tits..."

Bernard would hoo rather uninterested at what the man was saying to her, as usual the humans always had something irrelevant whenever she tried to ask them things to add besides that weird timid kid she tried asking something of earlier. Hoo Hoo, Hoo.The owl would proceed to grab the phone in her talons and attempt to search around the area based off of the clues that were now given to her by the people she talked too, there was no other method of asking them things because of the way she communicates, after all an owl could not just simply begin blurting out words loudly in public at night. It would definitely get her locked away or worse.

There was no one else of interest to interview or accost. Most of the information that Bernard gathered were the most part sufficient for future investigation. The only thing left for Bernard was to report back to the Kuzunoha Detective Agency...
