When it all sinks [Frog]

".................................................................................................................." There were no words Frog could say that would make sense in this situation. Not only have Brit's words caught him completely off guard, her approach also insinuated her, and perhaps even his, interest because he himself hadn't even noticed the moment Daisy mentioned them in a 'dating' context. Something flying over one's head usually means one thinks it obvious. Has he been bold enough to consider their relationship as such??? Sure, they had their moments of depth but have they been deep enough..? The obvious empirical answer would be...yes, judging by his reaction and by his tendention towards disregarding the fact as if it were an established status quo already.

So what now..? He couldn't say much because he was afraid to admit it, yet not admitting it would make him look disinterested, despite the obvious flare in his eye as he contemplated all this.

Quite a predicament...his thoughts immediately ran to Brit. She'd know how to handle this, right? So why wasn't she? Was it...was it just as difficult to her? She looked genuinely...shy regarding asking the question; something he'd never expect out of a stereotypical niche she filled. Obviously, he was wrong about a lot of things, starting with his own feelings. Pushing them down didn't feel good...admitting them was scary because he couldn't even tell what it was he was feeling...
He couldn't solve it on his own.

"Brit...h-help..?" He squealed eventually. "......................yes...I didn't say that.......we weren't..." He wanted to mention something about how distracting Daisy's bitchiness was and offer it as a reason...he didn't wanna ruin this though. His brain still ran at a different frequency no matter how close they've gotten in the short time they truly knew each other. Perhaps he still needed some time... "butlikeImeanImeanwhatrightI'mlikehahahaandhahatheweather'ssonice..........." He scratched the back of his head.......he could only half-grin, making a sort of unwanted and unwelcome funny-face in his failed attempt, totally unfitting to the context, as were his words. What was true however, was the way he glanced at her every now and then through grinning cheeks, tinted ruby red like a rose into what could only be explained as a...blush.

As said, Brittany's eloquence wasn't her forte. Far from that, her facility to get distracted was often the reason why words shuffle in her mouth before she could actually organize the thoughts and deliver them in an easy manner. In light of the tension of the moment, it was pretty understandable that Brittany would have as much of a hard time as Frogerio, even though she was the one to bring it up, it doesn't make it any less difficult for her. Not when Frogerio's immediate response was the lack of one. Silence was never a good sign, not in the dictionary of a talkative, loud person. And now she found herself anxious, filled with an anguish demand of words, any words, as long as Frogerio just says them for better or worse. He couldn't stay quiet at a moment like this, it wasn't fair at all! Or could he?

Oh wait, he said something! Not exactly the words her expectant eyes sought for, yet words again. The warmth in his voice, tinted with teenagery anxiety, brought light to the cold possibilities of insecurity poisoning the teenagery anxiety she was building inside too. Dancing around like kids, but what was she to say if not even Frogerio knew what to say? Or rather, what was she to expect from this when it didn't turn out as she expected at first? She was expecting something, wasn't she? Or there wasn't even such remark in first place...

The awkwardness of Frogerio, in his own way, relived her optimism, even if it brought some rationality to her dreamy mind. Maybe it wasn't the right time at all. Maybe she was rushy, maybe she was just trying to poke fun at it and it backfired horribly... Yeah, it's better to convince yourself it wasn't serious at all. A funny, not-so-spontaneous giggle sprout in her lips as she shook her head to dismiss the seriousness of the moment. It was her fault, to begin with, which also meant it was her responsibility. "It's alright. I know Daisy is a bit...you know...what you said, bitchy! Isn't that a bad word for us to say? Anyway, you don't have to worry about that! I was just, like, asking because...it was funny that you wouldn't say a word to her. I mean, you said a lot of stuff to her. Glad something finally shut her down, did you see the look on her face?"

Frog's grin slowly faded from his face as he listened to Brit. He was once again expecting her to lash out at him for being such an idiot, yet she...she accepted him for who he was. He could feel his cheeks burning with blood as he scratched the side of his face, lost in her visage...

...and a small smile danced across his lips. It was really like dancing, but without contact. A dance of their peronalities, their Personas, which, in their current situation, wasn't even such a far fetched thought.

"You might be right." A small chuckle escaped his lips. "WE really shouldn't be using that word to describe other people!" Frog looked at her for a moment, one unwavering moment, before shaking his head playfully and taking a step back. It really wasn't the right time. An unripe fruit can only spoil if you pluck it (unless it's a banana and you treat it with chemicals to promote its ripeness).

"Let's go Brit, I wanna get some ice cream~" Frog turned to Brit again to greet her with a wide welcoming smile. Both of them could consider this as him asking her out, kinda.

Ice cream now? Uh. Brittany frowned, confused at the suddenness of the request. She was still in rehearsal time, even if dismissed. Daisy could naturally change her mind and call her back, either through texting or by a phone call. Besides, they were still in school time, Frogerio probably had another class to attend to.. On the other hand, Brittany wasn't exactly the most disciplined person there is, somewhat reckless about perfect attendance or showing up at the exact arranged time for meetings, be it work, school or rehearsals. With that in mind her logical response was an squealed "Awesome!" of excitement.

"I'm kinda feeling a bit hot after the training, you know. Need something to cool off for a change. But just to make sure, don't you have classes now? I mean...are we skipping?" She wouldn't want to repeat the mistake from last encounter.

Now then...Frog wasn't expecting Brit to so willingly accept. Or maybe he was... Regardless, it warmed his heart and brought another big smile to his face. Coupled with his tired slouchy constantly-pissed-looking eyebrows and cap, this made his look kind of funky. "You're more important than any silly class, Brit. Who cares about maths anyways, it's like, totally E-Z." He grinned at her, nearly reaching out to hold her hand instinctively. He didn't though, but he visibly blushed and his intent could've been easily read.

Frog shrugged instead, walking outside the gym, hopefully together with Brit. Ice cream shops were everywhere in the big city, so they just had to decide on one. He turned to her again, with a question to place on the table, concluding that she probably had a much more extensive knowledge of the mysterious outside world, sometimes referred to also as 'real life', whatever that meant, than the reclusive old him. "So uhm, do ya know any good place~?"

"You're more important than any silly class"

And with a single sentence, it's as if any sounds nearby stopped. Or maybe it was her heart that stopped beating and therefore the brain lacked oxygen to function? There's no telling. Not that it matters, either. In the brief moment she remained silent, unusually silent like it lasted forever, she absorbed what it was: not the first time someone mentioned how important she was, but the first time it felt sincere. From Frogerio's reactions, the signs were all there. From Brittany's mind, the doubts she had before...weren't. Not anymore. Then, she realized: they were gonna skip classes together. Counting her Terrorist adventures out, that's the most exciting experience ever in her daily life!

"I kinda know a few in Vista, but...oh you mean around here? Uh, there's one I always to go with friends from the cheerleader squad after rehearsals. Do you wanna go there? They're still at the gym so we won't have to bother with, you know...meeting them." She'd follow Frog naturally out the gym and the hallways (not holding hands yet, though; she wasn't oblivious to his intent nor his embarrassment at the slightest mention of an intimacy gesture) and, if allowed, lead the way.

"That sounds perfect." Frog smiled at Brit. There was a tune between them as they walked. A fine tune. Finer than any he'd ever heard-the tune of their hearts beating together. The simple ice cream outing, in his mind, seemed like a huge crossroads that he didn't fear crossing. A happy event that he would remember forever, hopefully.

He let her lead the way, of course. Else they'd get lost. "We should get ice cream more often, don't you agree, Brit? This is...this is really great..." He blushed as he looked away into the distance...

May her managers never hear this, but...

"We should! Anytime you want, I'm usually free after classes are over but only for one hour or so before I head to...you know, nevermind that. We totally should!"

If it weren't for her privileged metabolism, she would probably be in the soup, given her lack of alimentary discipline. Not that she would mind. Not right now, at least. Ever heard of the expression "so happy I could die"? Technically, it could be taken in the literal sense. Never give an easily distracted person more happiness and joy than she can handle or chances are she won't even look at both sides of a street before crossing the street. Right now, however, it wasn't a concern for her. Not with Frogerio by her side and the carefree chatting.

...but no matter how happy she was right now in all the simplicity a youthful moment for two could grant, later she'd have to remember she forgot her backpack in the gym...
