Prodigy's First Trial

"How much longer do I have to hang around, Julius?" an impatient voice escaped an exasperated Alex.
It's been a few hours since they the day classes have already ended in Seven Stars. Many students would be at home doing their own business, but not these Cadets. Tonight was the usual, but it never made each one any easier for the young boy swinging his legs from the table he sat on. Julius simply sat there in his chair with his fingers tenting on top of the wood-polished desk that stood at the very apex of the Class Zero classroom. He only gave a glance at the younger boy who only pouted.
They were waiting for someone. And perhaps they won't have to wait for any longer...

Akira received a summons by the school she attended not so regularly, requesting she show up to a building she had never been to before. She had her chauffeur drive her to the academy, requesting that he wait outside until she is finished. Of course, with his salary, he would wait years if he needed to. She knew this to be the cadet building, specifically wondering why she was requested to arrive there. She wasn't exactly a model student, and she never showed up enough to catch the attention of anyone. Besides, she didn't think she had what was cut out to be a cadet, so they must not be requesting her in for that. It was probably some tech advice and they want the brains of the operation there instead of some Uneo mechanic. Either way, she made her way to where she was supposed to meet with the official who contacted her, soon enough, appearing to the two people. She noted that one of them was the prince, as she had looked him up after her conversation with Athena the other day. The other boy, she had seen his face before, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. Most people would bow or do something to show respect towards the prince, but she skipped the formalities. "I'm Akira Uneo. Is there something I can help you with?" She wasn't trying to be cocky, only answering like that because she was not prepared for what the answer was.

"Tch," Alex uttered when the girl finally entered the room. She didn't like the look of her, probably just another snobby socialite who probably would cry if she goes as far as breaking her nails. His impatience was growing, but he knew that this was the primary even and he wouldn't have to wait any longer.
"Greetings, Miss Ueno. I'm glad you can make it," Julius coolly greeted her, "Now that you are here, would you wish to join the fold of our Cadets? Your skills would be most appreciated."

Akira was taken a back by the question, not really sure how to answer at first. "Oh. I thought I was here for a completely different reason." She thought for a moment; would she even have time to do that? At this point, the company was running without her, she was only needed a few days out of the week. And with all the building free time she had, she had the time to do something of this caliber. But she wasn't really a fighter, so there was the issue that fighting terrorists wasn't really her forte. Maybe they wanted someone who could hack into terrorist encrypted systems like her. "I'm not exactly a model student, I'm not sure what skills you need. But if the Queen needs my service after everything that's happening nowadays, I'll gladly offer it. She always has my allegiance." She nodded to herself a bit, looking back at the prince. "I'll accept the offer." She had no idea what was needed of her; she had an idea about what the cadets did and what the world was really like, but she lacked the potential to see it.

The boy rolled his eyes, but Julius maintained a courteous and dignified air. He nodded in pleasantly at her answer. It was all he was looking for. With the terrible events that had occurred a night before, having new blood to replace the empty seats was a necessity for the Cadets. The man finally stood from his chair and even drawing the goblet that was near him, full of his Mother's blood, before walking towards the Ueno heiress. He held the goblet near her and seemed as if he would give it to her, but first...
"Then let us begin. First state your reason on why you are giving your allegiance."
It was a ritual, if anything. It was a procedure that all Cadets had to experience before and no matter what kind of seat or station the candidate was from, it was an inevitability that they had to go through this as well.

She actually had no idea there was a ritual, but she did not show her surprise on her face. Trying to stand strong and undeterred, she watched the man approach her with the goblet. She did not move to grasp it, keeping eye contact with the prince. He asked her a question, to which she answered as clearly as possible. "I'm not dumb. Why would I turn against the queen who saved us from the divide, the one who is the reason we are alive today. I may not be proud to be alive some days, but I am proud to serve the queen with my Group. It would be truly foolish to turn against her." It was long winded, but she tried to make her point. "I don't want to die. And turning against the Queen would only ensure my death. That's why I pledge my allegiance, so I can live another day." She nodded to herself, not breaking eye contact to show that she meant every word she spoke.

Alex snorted at her answer, but was rather quizzical on why she would think this way. Endymion was thriving under her rule, why would she bother speaking so boldly and rudely to someone who was related to the Queen? But Julius only drew a smirk. For once, it wasn't like any of these cliched reasons. But there was something very pathetic about it, yet...
"Kneel and swear fealty to our Queen. Then drink."
Once she did so, Julius would hand her the goblet. As she tasted the blood, it was sweet. Yet the bitter pain would follow, nearly choking her. It was hard to breathe. Akira's skin would begin to crack and chips began to fall piece by piece. There was a gaping hole in their face, shedding her previous life to let in the new. The seed that has been inside her mind was being hatched, but with Isla's blood it was been put into shackles. They would begin to see what the world truly was, but in a controlled manner.
As the Uneo heir stopped thrashing, it was time to see if she passed the test in awakening her potential. Julius and Alex watched the process without much change in their expression. But they were prepared in case the worst ever happened.
Now, it was time to see if a Persona was born from her.

Akira nodded to the request, kneeling down and swearing her locality to the Queen. As the cup was lowered to her, she felt a strange feeling in the pit of her stomach, something that she had been feeling more often, but she had no idea what it meant. Without another thought, she drank. The sweet taste was soon replaced with the pain, and she was not expecting it at all, not really expecting this to be anything more than a ritual. She felt her body start to fall apart, the pain was too much to support her weight on, and she fell backwards. Her muscles began to spasm and she couldn't control it no matter how hard she tried, the pain was too unbearable. Her heart started to beat faster, pulsing energy through her body. A yellow glow illuminating through her chest, as if it was a thin veil that was barely blocking the light. Her eyes also started to light up, their normal golden glow being brighter than usual. She felt the hole in her face begin to form as her skin cracked, her mind running wild. Everything slowed to a stop, the pain subsiding and as well as the illuminating effects on her body. She slowly sat up, looking up at the prince. The world looked strange to her, she didn't quite understand it but it didn't scare her that much. "What the he-" She was cut off by a voice inside her head. 'Unlock the door...' The voice echoed throughout her entire being, causing her to shake at the very sound of it. She couldn't explain it, but she was brought back to a very faint memory of her sister, which gave her the answer she needed. She stood to her feet.
"Ego-overdrive program initiated; Battle Mode activate."
She felt her heart whirl to life, more so than it already was. Her entire body became engulfed in light for a moment before she emerged from it. Akira looked down at her hands, noticing the gloves that had appeared on them. She had never done this before, and was shocked she could have done that all this time. She looked down, trying to find the answer through sheer will again. She held her hand to her chest. "Persona." She felt her body rush with power as a red cloud of smoke appeared at her feet. She held out her hand to her left, something soon grasping it. She looked over and smiled at the feminine figure standing next to her. The persona opened up it's umbrella, placing it over her shoulder. The moon shaped tip started to glow and a purple headset appeared over Akira's ear, as did one on Alex's. Though since they were so close, neither one would hear what the other said; in a sense the headsets were shut off for both of them. She was just awaiting instructions at that point, as she had no idea what to do besides marvel at the sight of her own persona and the world that had changed so much in her own eyes. She could feel so much power, and yet she still didn't feel invincible.
Remote View | Allows user to locate, speak with and monitor allies no matter the distance within a dungeon. User can create a virtual "phone call" with their Persona that allows everyone to talk to each other at once. With this, the user can see through their partners eyes, and scan enemies using this method even if they're not in the area.
Growth | A skill only for strictly support characters. If supporting a team, each use and demon/shadow defeated counts towards your rank ups aswell. | Passive
Battle Strength and Weaknesses:
—Strength Name: Difficulty Settings —Description: Akira has always known how hard something was going to be before she actually did it. This helps her assess any situation she has in front of her with a knowledge of how hard or easy it could be. In a combat situation, this helps her in deciding how hard the enemy would be to beat. Each enemy gets their own difficulty setting, and it is based on the average health of everyone in combat on her team. If the enemy is under 100 total health of the allies, the setting will be easy. If it is 100 over the average, the setting will be hard; but if it is within the range of 100 going either way, the setting is medium.
—Strength Name: Supernatural Sense —Description: Ever since she was little, Akira has had a sixth sense when it came to supernatural situations. When in the general area with someone who has unlocked their potential, or in an area where a supernatural situation is about to or is going on, she gets a strange feeling in the core of her being that she can't quite explain. All she has to do is stand near someone with unlocked potential, and she can sense that they have some supernatural power; meaning anyone with potential would trigger this power. No matter how hard she hones this ability, she will never be able to tell the difference between Shadow Selves and Persona Users. She has yet to understand it, and still has to understand it before she can fully use it to benefit her. This could never help her discover the type of potential anyone has, or how much of it they possess; although stronger beings will feel stronger in some way.
—Strength Name: Battle Mode —Description: Since Akira is not a robot, but has a plume of dusk inside her, she is not able to summon a persona under normal circumstances. To summon her persona, she must be in a state which she would refer to as 'Battle Mode.' After going through a transformation, she will be able to summon her person as if she were a normal Child of Nyarlathotep. This transformation only changes her clothing but is the only way she can evoke her actual persona, making it essential. She also considers this outfit to be her cadet uniform as she can enter battle mode at any time of the day, she will just only be able to summon her persona at night like everybody else.
—Weakness Name: Lack here of —Description: Since Akira had spent most of her life indoors learning about computers and software, she never learned how to handle weapons properly. Without being able to properly use any type of weaponry, she finds herself lost with it in her hands. And although she gets the gist of how to aim and fire a rifle, but will deal less damage without knowing how to use it to it's fullest potential. This type of weakness does effect her combative capabilities with her weapons, giving her a 5% reduction in dexterity attacks of all kinds.
—Weakness Name: Heart of Dusk —Description: Akira is a human with a plume of dusk placed where her heart is, which allows her to take on the properties of a robot without having the metallic exterior. This means that although she can still enter orgia mode and summon her persona because of this new heart, she will still have a the strength and vitality of a normal human.

So it was done.
Like many others before her, the potential that rested inside her sprouted. The sight of the Persona being manifested was the greatest sign of its success. Julius nodded in satisfaction while Alex appeared to be bored after seeing it time and time again. The latter glanced at the Prince, who gave him a nod. The boy sighed and drew out his scythe and with it, his Persona.
During that moment, Julius was able to procure a scroll from his desk. It was one of the Royal Guard's summoning methods, but it was there for this purpose. "Congratulations. Now, let's test the extent of your power."
Before Akira knew it, the scroll shone with power. And its place was a demon. And it was a no-brainer that it was hungry.

Akira held her hand up, a bow of light appearing in it. She had never fired one before, but she felt like she knew what she was doing. She pulled the bowstring back, an arrow appearing rested against the string before she let it go, firing the arrow at the beast. If it hit, the beast might go down.
